While the cashier didn't care if I lived or died after I told her how hard the decision was of choosing a pastry, i settled on a regular vanilla with vanilla icing. The crumb reminded me of the heavy butter cake from Mastro's. Kinda like cornbread if you've never had their butter cake. I prefer my cupcake slightly less dense. The frosting was good but felt like it didn't go well with the cake for some reason. After looking at the photo I took i wish i had leaned for a more adventurous flavor, but I'm just thankful I didn't get their gluten free/vegan option on accident!

Atmosphere - No strange or strong odors or smells. No music playing when I visited. I liked that. I prefer no music over loud music. I don't like loud music. It's hard to hear with loud music. Service - There were about four or five employees. The service here was quick. Order and pay at the register. Self seating. Parking - Surface parking lot. No parking meter or parking structures. Would like shaded or covered parking for all of Arizona someday. Did not see a health rating on Yelp. Seemed clean and organized when I visited.

Trust me, I have gone far and wide seeking the best for the money desserts in the area. Why best for the money? Because I usually take items to work for sharing. That can be pricey at $5-7 bucks per item. Often the expensive desserts aren't really much better than the Safeway Bakery. Cupcakesters are reasonably priced and also do custom orders. I love the selection of items and would recommend a trip to this place. I did get one of everything for the office. Super good. They also have vegan and gluten free. The current location as of 7/20/2022 is in Mesa on the corner of Main and Lindsay west of the KFC.

You can build yoir own custom cupcake onsite (you pick cake, frosting and toppings). This is a small bakery that doesn't have an expansive list of offerings, which is just fine, as they obviously know what they're doing and do it well. You'll find cookies, brownies, etc as well. I bet they do a ton of custom cakes. I'll be back!!

Thank you so much to the worker who saved the day and helped saved the birthday!!…read more I came in July after a terrible weekend and desperately needing a vanilla cake for a birthday. There was a family emergency that made it so all plans had to be cancelled and it was already a difficult time due to the emergency. I wanted to get a nice cake from a local bakery to help make up for the cancelled plans, so it can still feel like a birthday. I had tried several other places, but was unsuccessful. I went in to the store (about 10 minutes after closing, which I had no idea until later), explained the situation to the very kind and empathetic worker, and she found a vanilla cake in the back that was exactly perfect. I appreciate that she went above and beyond to try and help, especially because it was after closing and the cake that was provided to me wasn't originally for sale. Thank you so much!

The cake was INCREDIBLE OVERPRICED! Well over $230 and thats for the smallest size (6 inch). On pickup today, i was so unhappy. It looked like a shein/temu version of what i had hoped for. Cheap decorative toppings. The girl who was working suggested I put it in the front seat so it wont move around too much. Welp! It DID! The top smashed into the box and the top layer started sliding off the bottom layer! I was angry! Because how does this place charge a lot more than your average shop and not have secure & larger boxes to place the cakes in!!!!! Wal mart could have done a better job for 1/6 of the price!!!! The yellow is what i wanted. The pink is the shein/temu version. Will not be ordering here again not recommending!

I ordered an 8 inch cake and it fed 9 of us with leftovers for all. The cake looked just like the photo. The cake was dense and rich and the whip cream frosting was light and fluffy. We came at 4:30 and still had more than enough options to choose from. I happened to like frosting and it was fun to see adorable frosting cups although I didn't purchase one. We opted for the tuxedo, pins colada, cinnamon and s'mores cupcakes. The tuxedo was rich and balanced, with smooth chocolate with vanilla frosting that felt classic and satisfying. The Piña Colada was light and tropical, with coconut and pineapple adding a fresh, summery twist. The Cinnamon had a warm, cozy spice--simple, comforting, and perfect with my after dinner coffee. S'mores was sweet and nostalgic, capturing chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker in a fun way. Overall, a great mix of classic and playful. As I said I'm a frosting fan and the frosting was great an my favorite part.
