I ordered a designer bag cake and it was absolutely perfect! The design looked so realistic and beautiful, and it tasted just as amazing as it looked. Super impressed and would definitely order again!

We ordered a cow-themed cake for my daughter's 1st birthday, and it was absolutely perfect! The design was adorable and detailed, and it looked even better than we imagined. 1 Star - Worst Vendor We Worked With Love and Cake was three hours late on our wedding day and didn't even offer an apology. Their delay made us miss a huge part of our wedding memories. This company showed zero responsibility, zero professionalism, and zero care for what their actions cost us. I have several companies myself and asked for a refund so she can attest try and make it right. Sarah the owner said she would and two weeks went by and I let her know I still have not received a refund and her reply was " Thanks for letting me know! Calling whatever now!" My family and friends were all so disappointed in Sarah's service. She told us she dropped a cake and had to fix it but yet she posted pictures of the same night taking pictures at another wedding instead of delivering ours on time. 3 hrs late... I had to call her an hour after the cake should of been delivered to find out what was going on. My wife was devastated . All other vendors did an amazing job on time on point and they all were even pissed at Sarah for her being late, unprofessional and honestly didn't care. She already got PAID.... I strongly recommend looking elsewhere unless you're willing to take a massive gamble on your wedding day. She also to find out had her assistant quit on her so there is reasons behind that as well.
Sarah was phenomenal, I text her at 11 AM, on December 1, for an emergency carrot cake. She was able to decorate a premade carrot cake for my BFF 80th birthday for pickup by 12:30 PM. I sent her the design and requested 2 shades of light pink. As you can see from the picture, the cake is stunning. My girlfriend was awestruck by the beauty. The cake was delicious, the 12 guests enjoyed it, and raved about frosting, which was Swiss meringue buttercream. The cake was filled with cream cheese frosting. Sarah, this cake was the grand finale of my BFF 80th birthday celebration. Thank YOU for making this possible.
I'm so happy in choosing Love and Cake for my grandmother's 80th birthday celebration. It's been years since I've ordered a custom cake so I had to start anew in finding a reliable baker. I requested quotes from at least 5 different bakeries in the southeast valley. My mom and I decided on Love and Cake because of the price and raving reviews. We were a bit nervous about selecting a home baker but Love and Cake provided the most affordable price at $215 for an estimate of 25 people. My grandma wanted a carrot cake and we were a little worried that not all our guests would enjoy but it turned out phenomenal! Even our 3 young picky eaters were asking for another slice. The cake was so moist and flavorful, we only had maybe 1/5 of the cake left at the end of the party and everyone wanted a portion to go! My only suggestion is that she reach out prior to pickup to confirm the pickup location and how to access her community. I got lucky in following another car that had already opened the gate, otherwise I would've been stuck trying to call her for a gate code.

Based on Sarah's positive reviews and photos of her previous work on her website, I was confident the cake would turn out beautifully, but unfortunately, I am a little late on seeing all the bad reviews on google reviews, and of her arguing with the customers not showing any remorse for her mistakes and to see she's been unethical and unprofessional for years and my experience was disappointing and I would think she would have changed her business approach to making better professional decisions when it comes to customers by correcting the mistakes and showing care. I sent Sarah reference photos for the design, assuming she would use the traditional brown and gold Louis Vuitton color scheme. However, the cake I received was cream-colored with small gold accents far from what I expected but thought it's fine long as the LV around the sides of the cake is brown. Worse, part of the Louis Vuitton print on more than half the side was purple. When I called her immediately after pickup and still parked in-front of her home, she admitted that her edible printer ran out of ink but she didn't inform me beforehand. Instead, she suggested I angle the brown side of the cake for my mom to see, which she did the same to me before pick up sent picture of the cake angled to see the brown LV and I found unprofessional and deceptive. At the party, I noticed more issues: 1. My mother's name was cut off due to a lack of space. 2. The calendar design I requested had the 29th and 30th only half-printed. 3. The white edges of the printed Louis Vuitton design were visible making it obvious that it's printed. For a cake that cost $165 and was meant to feed 6-8 people, I expected much better attention to detail and professionalism. While Sarah did offer a full refund if I returned the cake, I couldn't go without a cake for my mother's special day, which was in a few hours. She also offered to make a cake for my daughter's birthday to make up for the mistakes. I haven't gotten a response from the my email I sent to her over 2 weeks now. In the end, while the cake had potential, the execution fell short, and I'm disappointed with the lack of transparency and honesty. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.
My husband loved this cake. It came out perfect! And we enjoyed the taste even more! By far was the best surprise and will definitely continue to order here. You all have to try out Love and Cake. Sarah was absolutely the sweetest and did such a great job. Can't wait to officially move out there and celebrate with more amazing cakes. Thank you so much Sarah!
Love and Cake was a wonderful experience. wanting a fun and cool birthday cake to celebrate my 2 year old grandson's birthday. Sarah was responsive and provided some helpful tips. They provide delivery, which I took advantage of for a reasonable cost, when the cake arrived, it was stunning, the detail to the picture I sent was identical, great job Sarah. I was hoping for a similar rendition, but Sarah don't skip a beat. not only was the cake gorgeous, it was delicious, moist, not too sweet and delightful. I highly recommend Love and Cake in Chandler for any cake needs.

I cannot rave enough about the cake that Sarah made for my daughter's graduation party! I had seen a picture of a Dr. Pepper cake and sent it to her through her website to ask if she could replicate it, and make it look like a softball got thrown into it. She responded that she sure could, and omgoodness did she!!! I was SOOOO impressed with her work I did not want to cut into it, but I am so glad I did! The cake cut so smoothly, the flavor... Best chocolate cake I've ever had, the icing was perfect, not too sweet, and it was very moist. This cake FAR surpassed my expectations, and all the guests loved it as well! Absolutely wowed by Sarah and her cake company. First, I love supporting local, women owned businesses! Second, she crushed it! I sent an inspo photo to her for our daughter's sweet 16 cake. This is a big birthday so the pressure was on me which I put on Sarah. The cake was stunning! Our friends and family thought the bow was fake. Also, her cake flavor combos are amazing, please don't discount the flavor -- when I eat cake, it needs to look good AND taste even better. She nailed the raspberry mascarpone, with chocolate ganache Thank you Sarah, you are our new go to cake babe! read more

We were in town celebrating a milestone birthday for my mother in law. Found Love and Cake on Yelp and it seems I struck gold! Sarah guided me through in ordering the PERFECT cake! I chose the Luis Vuitton gift box vanilla cake with fresh fruit in the center. The cake was so pretty it was hard for Mom to have to cut it! The cake was a hit with the guests and absolutely delicious! Ordering was easy and the cake was ready when promised. Hopefully Sarah will add delivery service soon! read more

Sarah does out of the world job with decorating cakes and the flavors that she offers would satisfy anyone who has good taste! She made lemon curd cake with blackberry and fresh cream filling. The cake was moist, creamy and fruity. Everyone loved the cake from decoration to the awesome summer flavors blended together like fine music. Do not order your cake from this bakery! I ordered my cake close to 2 months notice and she did not have it ready the day of... the color was completely off and the piping was thick and messy... definitely not what I ordered for my big day. She tried gaslighting and told me it was beautiful and i was playing the victim. The right cake was my inspiration and I got an ugly green grey cake that was disproportionate. The icing was thick and would crumble when cutting it.. the cake was a complete disaster! She likes to bully the customer into thinking everything is just great... and if you write a bad review, forget it lol it's like she's in denial.. just do yourself a favor and don't order. read more

Sarah did a cake for my niece's baby shower today. It was not only gorgeous but delicious! Lemon raspberry was one layer and coconut rum was the other. She decorated it with a gold drip frosting and flowers. I couldn't have been more pleased. She was so quick to respond to all my questions and requests. Love and Cake is also on the recommended vendor list for our venue and I can easily see why that's the case. Thank you Sarah! I highly recommend her. read more

Wish I could give her zero stars. Sarah I do not appreciate your unprofessional work that you've done for my niece over the weekend. My niece approached you in a respectful way. If you didn't have time to do her cake properly you've shoulda said something at this point you don't care about the customers you care about the money. You ruined my nieces baby shower and the fact your not taking actions for it is beyond disrespectful. Karma will do its job tho. People please don't book with her it's not worth the headache. Sarah, I really hope that you do the right thing and give her a full refund. Nobody deserves this terrible work specially a new mother that trusted you with your service . DO NOT GO TO THIS PERSON! It was a horrible experience. I showed up to pick up the cake and she didn't even remember the cake. So she said she would deliver it the next day. I asked for a certain time for the cake to be delivered and she still want ready. She asked for flexibility so I said she can deliver it 1 hour later. When we cut into the cake, it was vanilla instead of chocolate! When I told her about my complaint, she essentially said she was learned not to be nice cuz she took my order in short notice and that I should be happy I got a cake even though it wasn't perfect. I don't think it would take too much time to at least get the flavor right. Stupid place and self centered lady with lip injections. Do not go here if you want a cake on time and the right flavor. I when I first ordered my cake i was super excited! All i saw were the great reviews. I didn't think to look at the bad ones because of all of the great ones! She was excited to make my cake as well and told me she could improve on the images I sent her. I asked that the two characters that were a part of my theme were on there, flowers, and butterflies. On April 22 I messaged her and asked that my cake please be ready from 11-12 because my party started at 1pm. My event wasn't until May 14. When it was the day of the event my mom and sister called me extremely upset to tell me that i had to finish setting up my party for 50 people, while 34 weeks pregnant alone because they had to wait for the cake to be finished since she told them it wasn't ready when they got there. She never once communicated this information to me and they also arrived at her house at 12. When the cake was finally finished and given to my mother and sister the images were pealing off of the cake and there was a dowel hole in the top of the cake. When I messaged her about the hole she messaged me back saying "I think it is silly quite honestly to quibble over the joke hole." I have never purchased a cake completely covered in fondant with a hole in it and i was upset about it. The cake also had zero butterflies on it like I had asked. The cake immediately caved in and completely fell apart when cutting into it as if it never had a chance to cool before it was put together. I also have never purchased a cake that couldn't hold its shape with warm whipped cream inside and other contents inside that were obviously warm. I never once messaged her about the problems i had with the cake and her being late at pick up. Later that day my Father called to let her know how disappointed he was with her services after spending $325. Now I did not know he had called. She then proceeded to blow up my messages out of nowhere about how my "significant other" called to complain whom she assumed called. It was in fact my father who again had also paid for the cake. She continued to send me paragraphs about how great her flavors were, and how she was late because something was damaged, and how the hole was silly and the cake was gorgeous in her eyes. At this point my boyfriend and i were trying to enjoy our gifts and the people around us for our baby coming soon. She still continued to harass me about her opinions on something she made instead of trying to listen to the customer. I had to block her account so that I could enjoy the only day i had to celebrate my new baby. I have never had anyone so rude and unprofessional make my cakes before. I would never recommend love and cakes. If I could give zero stars I would. There was no reason for her messaging me about someone else's complaint or phone call when i again had nothing to do with it, nor was i the one who saw or contacted her that day. After creating my review on my Facebook without tagging her, she then found my account and commented. By doing so she was once again harassing me when she specifically asked in my messages that we post our reviews. She also went through her one star Google reviews and commented on everyone that gave her 1 star as their opinion of her and her services, and told them they were lying, bullying, and harassing her. read more

We had a very different experience with Sarah for our party in June than the other reviews. She made two incredible cakes for us! One exactly like our vision for a Monet themed water lilies cakes and a 3D Spiderman cake. Not only did each cake look perfect but they tasted amazing too. Sarah was super responsive and I would definitely work with her again! Highly recommend! read more

Sarah is incredibly talented and a perfectionist. I am blown away on my cake designs that she has created. Not only do they taste amazing but her designs her craftsmanship and her attention to detail is a 10 out of 10. I found her on Instagram and i've been using her as a contact ever since. I've gotten so many compliments on the cakes she's created for me. Her delivery fee is reasonable her custom design work is out of this world. Highly recommend. read more

Sarah from Love and Cake made us the perfect wedding cake! We got engaged at a special carving of our initials that we made in a tree 8 years ago, and we knew we wanted to find someone who could incorporate this into a cake for our wedding. We did a lot of searching online, but so many of the cakes we found that were meant to look like tree carvings were so fake looking. Sarah made our vision a reality! Her attention to detail and the way she was able to make our cake look like a real tree was unlike any other vendor we could find. Other cake vendors didn't even come close to being comparable to Sarah's cakes. Her cakes truly look like works of art. Not only was our cake perfect, but Sarah was also very friendly and easy to work with. She invited us to attend a tasting of 12 different flavors of her cakes. We were able to pick what flavors we wanted for each tier of our 4-tier cake. It was so difficult to choose only 4 flavors because all her cakes tasted amazing. She also provided us champagne to enjoy during our tasting, which was very thoughtful! Sarah also went above and beyond by helping navigate through some extra booking requirements that our venue needed from our vendors, and she truly was so great to work with! She also drove 2+ hours to deliver our cake to our venue just outside of Sedona, which was so appreciated! Most importantly, our cake was delicious. Since we wanted a large/tall cake to portray our tree carving, the cake we purchased was meant to serve 120 guests, but we only had 80 guests. We figured we'd be bringing a lot of leftover cake home after the wedding, but the entire cake was eaten! It was so good that many guests were going back for a second slice! It is rare to find a cake that tastes as good as it looks, and Sarah exceeded our expectations. THANK YOU Love and Cake! We look forward to ordering a mini version of our wedding cake from you for our 1-year anniversary, and we will absolutely be back to order even more cakes for other occasions in the future. We highly recommend Sarah!! read more
