I'm so happy I found love and cake she worked with me on all my allergies and made the most wonderful cake for my wedding with beautiful REAL flowers on it.

I ordered a designer bag cake and it was absolutely perfect! The design looked so realistic and beautiful, and it tasted just as amazing as it looked. Super impressed and would definitely order again!

Would highly recommend if you are wanting a cake for a special occasion! My son's cake was a huge hit! Not only did it look fantastic, but tasted just as great!

We ordered a cow-themed cake for my daughter's 1st birthday, and it was absolutely perfect! The design was adorable and detailed, and it looked even better than we imagined. Not only was it cute, but it tasted amazing too -- super fresh, moist, and so delicious. Thank you Sarah for putting all of your hard work in time and into this cake!

Love and Cake Reviews

1 Star - Worst Vendor We Worked With Love and Cake was three hours late on our wedding day and didn't even offer an apology. Their delay made us miss a huge part of our wedding memories. This company showed zero responsibility, zero professionalism, and zero care for what their actions cost us. I have several companies myself and asked for a refund so she can attest try and make it right. Sarah the owner said she would and two weeks went by and I let her know I still have not received a refund and her reply was " Thanks for letting me know! Calling whatever now!" My family and friends were all so disappointed in Sarah's service. She told us she dropped a cake and had to fix it but yet she posted pictures of the same night taking pictures at another wedding instead of delivering ours on time. 3 hrs late... I had to call her an hour after the cake should of been delivered to find out what was going on. My wife was devastated . All other vendors did an amazing job on time on point and they all were even pissed at Sarah for her being late, unprofessional and honestly didn't care. She already got PAID.... I strongly recommend looking elsewhere unless you're willing to take a massive gamble on your wedding day. She also to find out had her assistant quit on her so there is reasons behind that as well.

Cake tasted SO good and our daughter LOVED IT. Super cute cake as well, as you can see in the pics and the approval on our 1 year olds face. 10/10 would recommend

This cake was the grand finale to celebrate my BFF 80th birthday. Carrot cake with cream cheese filling & Swiss meringue buttercream.

Sarah was phenomenal, I text her at 11 AM, on December 1, for an emergency carrot cake. She was able to decorate a premade carrot cake for my BFF 80th birthday for pickup by 12:30 PM. I sent her the design and requested 2 shades of light pink. As you can see from the picture, the cake is stunning. My girlfriend was awestruck by the beauty. The cake was delicious, the 12 guests enjoyed it, and raved about frosting, which was Swiss meringue buttercream. The cake was filled with cream cheese frosting. Sarah, this cake was the grand finale of my BFF 80th birthday celebration. Thank YOU for making this possible.

$215 10" carrot cake for party of 25
Brittany C.

I'm so happy in choosing Love and Cake for my grandmother's 80th birthday celebration. It's been years since I've ordered a custom cake so I had to start anew in finding a reliable baker. I requested quotes from at least 5 different bakeries in the southeast valley. My mom and I decided on Love and Cake because of the price and raving reviews. We were a bit nervous about selecting a home baker but Love and Cake provided the most affordable price at $215 for an estimate of 25 people. My grandma wanted a carrot cake and we were a little worried that not all our guests would enjoy but it turned out phenomenal! Even our 3 young picky eaters were asking for another slice. The cake was so moist and flavorful, we only had maybe 1/5 of the cake left at the end of the party and everyone wanted a portion to go! My only suggestion is that she reach out prior to pickup to confirm the pickup location and how to access her community. I got lucky in following another car that had already opened the gate, otherwise I would've been stuck trying to call her for a gate code.

That cake made by Sarah Love and Cake

I don't usually leave reviews, but after my experience, I felt compelled to share. I ordered a custom Louis Vuitton-themed cake from Love and Cake by Sarah for my mother's surprise birthday party. Based on Sarah's positive reviews and photos of her previous work on her website, I was confident the cake would turn out beautifully, but unfortunately, I am a little late on seeing all the bad reviews on google reviews, and of her arguing with the customers not showing any remorse for her mistakes and to see she's been unethical and unprofessional for years and my experience was disappointing and I would think she would have changed her business approach to making better professional decisions when it comes to customers by correcting the mistakes and showing care. I sent Sarah reference photos for the design, assuming she would use the traditional brown and gold Louis Vuitton color scheme. However, the cake I received was cream-colored with small gold accents far from what I expected but thought it's fine long as the LV around the sides of the cake is brown. Worse, part of the Louis Vuitton print on more than half the side was purple. When I called her immediately after pickup and still parked in-front of her home, she admitted that her edible printer ran out of ink but she didn't inform me beforehand. Instead, she suggested I angle the brown side of the cake for my mom to see, which she did the same to me before pick up sent picture of the cake angled to see the brown LV and I found unprofessional and deceptive. At the party, I noticed more issues: 1. My mother's name was cut off due to a lack of space. 2. The calendar design I requested had the 29th and 30th only half-printed. 3. The white edges of the printed Louis Vuitton design were visible making it obvious that it's printed. For a cake that cost $165 and was meant to feed 6-8 people, I expected much better attention to detail and professionalism. While Sarah did offer a full refund if I returned the cake, I couldn't go without a cake for my mother's special day, which was in a few hours. She also offered to make a cake for my daughter's birthday to make up for the mistakes. I haven't gotten a response from the my email I sent to her over 2 weeks now. In the end, while the cake had potential, the execution fell short, and I'm disappointed with the lack of transparency and honesty. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.

Two layer Harry Potter theme cake!

My husband loved this cake. It came out perfect! And we enjoyed the taste even more! By far was the best surprise and will definitely continue to order here. You all have to try out Love and Cake. Sarah was absolutely the sweetest and did such a great job. Can't wait to officially move out there and celebrate with more amazing cakes. Thank you so much Sarah!

After a long search online for heart shaped cakes, this was the perfect bakery for us! We absolutely loved the White Winter flavor, moist, delicious and fresh! Will absolutely be ordering again! Thanks so much for this wonderful cake!!!

I bought a cake for my sisters 21st birthday! It came out amazing! It came out exactly how my inspiration photos looked. She had it done on time for when I arrived. It tasted amazing! I 100% recommend her cakes to anyone and will be coming back for the next cake I need!

I had an incredible experience here the other morning and just felt the need to give a shout out to…read morethe awesome cashier!! They had a promo going for a "free" mug with a $25 purchase. The mug was really cool and AZ themed, so I had to get it. I picked out some of the cake slices as well as some baked goods! I also ordered the Vietnamese coffee drink and added sea salt and brown sugar. It was delicious but definitely on the sweeter side. I think I would skip the brown sugar next time. When I arrived, they were out of the Berry Tales on the floor which are my favorite. I asked if they had any made in the back and it turns out they'd recently made a fresh batch and were letting them cool. Assunta got me a couple of those and then helped ring up my order. She was very very nice and gave me an extra slice of cake. When I mentioned they were for a birthday, she also gave me some candles and birthday chocolates to put on top. I really appreciated this and can't thank her enough for going the extra mile to provide such awesome service! I love 85, Especially this location in Chandler. Definitely check it out sometime.

There were so many options that it honestly took me a while to decide what I wanted! I really liked the self-serve bakery concept because it lets you browse at your own pace and pick out whatever catches your eye. They have a great mix of both sweet and savory items, along with an extensive drink menu featuring both hot and cold beverages, so there's truly something for everyone no matter what you're craving. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and flavorful. The pastries were light and delicious, and the drinks paired perfectly with the food. You can definitely tell they take pride in the quality of what they serve. The only thing I'd mention is that they don't accept American Express. It wasn't an issue for me since I had another payment method, but it's something to keep in mind before visiting. Overall, this was a fantastic first experience, and I can definitely see why so many people recommend 85°C Bakery Cafe. Between the incredible selection, fresh-tasting food, delicious drinks, and unique bakery experience, I'll definitely be back to try even more of their menu.

We ended up getting the raspberry puff pastry, the chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake, and the red velvet cupcake. Raspberry Puff Pastry: My husband really enjoyed this one. It was flaky, the perfect size, and lightly sweet without being overly sweet. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcake: This was my favorite! The cake had little bits of chocolate chips throughout, which was a fun surprise. The frosting was light, airy, and not overly sweet. The best part? It comes topped with a soft, chewy chocolate chip cookie, so it's basically two desserts in one. Red Velvet Cupcake: This one didn't disappoint either. The cake was moist with a nice cocoa flavor, and the buttercream frosting was rich, creamy, buttery, and exactly what you'd hope for in a classic red velvet cupcake. They also serve drinks and were offering samples of their prickly pear lemonade. It was delicious and super refreshing, but a little sweeter than I personally prefer. If you have a sweet tooth, I think you'll really enjoy it. Overall, it was great and we'd go back to try other things. Give it a try. The staff is also nice and provided good service.

Quiches and Pies is a local business that I heard about only very recently. I decided to check it…read moreout one morning and they had so many delicious looking pastries and quiches. I was only in the mood for pastries, but I would love to come back to try their quiches and coffee. There's a decent amount of seating, but not sure how busy it might get on a weekend morning. I opted for a kouign amann and a chausson aux pommes, which is like an apple turnover. Everything looked reasonably priced. The kouign amann and the chausson were perfectly flaky and hit the spot. I wasn't able to eat both pastries the same day, and I felt like they still held pretty well the next day. So glad I got to try this place and I'll be back!!

Full disclosure - would give 5 stars, but first time here, and I like to reserve the 5th start…read moreeither if I return, or there's something beyond exceptional. Summary - will be back and this place is great. There appears to be more artisan and patisseries beginning to open East of Phoenix. The biggest hype appears to be Sable' in Gilbert - reserving comments on that place, until I try it. In the same strip mall as Happy Jade Chineese restaurant, a law firm, a Nigerian restaurant (next door) and a small market, Q&P is a great find. Not an area you'd be looking for a patisserie. I love finding these places. Initial impression: very friendly, quaint, reasonable seating. Very comfortable, but not pretentious. One reviewer giving only one star, complained about not being timely served, but never discussed the food quality. I didn't sit down and was ordering to go, but the gal who served me was very friendly. I don't get the impression you have to pronounce all of the pastries with a French accent - and if you wanted to say Crescent Roll instead of Croissant -- or over pronounced "Crah-saunnn", they'd smile and still serve you! Food: I ordered Goat Cheese, roasted Tomato Quiche and a Chocolate/Coffee Croissant - excuse me - pain au chocolat-coffee. Both excellent. Quiche - 5/5 Croissant - 4/5. Quiche custard was soft, but smooth and creamy. Just the right amount of goat cheese. I only got one cherry tomato, would have liked a one or two more, but just got the wrong piece. Price $9.5. Croissant had kind of a coffee/chocolate paste as a filling - kind of like Almond paste, but with Chocolate. And then also just melted dark chocolate. Very good, buttery. There Quiche selection is diverse - from Lorraine to Duck confit. Something for every palate. Did not try coffee. Price not "cheap", but if you consider getting lunch at a sit down place with high quality ingredients, the $9.50 is reasonable. I forgot the price of the croissant. Its hard for a good bakery to balance between quality and price. There's just a plain lot of labor involved in making quality baked goods, and you have to have quality ingredients - just the butter alone. And, you need the clientele. So I hope they have great success. I'll be back!

They also have a milk bread loaf that's half green tea/red bean and half coconut. I think they've even had pork sung red bean once which is admirably wild?? Their latest releases have also been phenomenal. The flaky, sesame-covered radish and spring onion pies taste like they're straight out of a dim sum restaurant, and the salted cream custard bun was so aromatic and creamy. I know they're vegetarian, but I wanted to double check with her. She responds as "vegetarian means no meat, right"? All employees working at a food establishment should know what vegetarian means. This was quite baffling to hear. I asked her for a new slice because the one that was out on display was visibly burned and the other slice was touching pepperoni from the meat pizza. As mentioned, I'm a vegetarian. Therefore, I could not have either one of those slices. She proceeds to say that's how the pizzas are. They are slightly burned because they are so sourdough. While I can accept this answer, I do not accept the fact that she would not be willing to give me another slice as a paying customer. She insensitively said she can't give me a new one until all the old slices are taken up. She mentioned that this is their procedure. According to this, they are saying that they will not provide a proper product unless the old, damaged product, or unacceptable by the customer is used up first. If this is their business model, then it is apparent they do not value customer service. This business should have the competence to understand that if they want to sell a product, they cannot sell it in a condition that the customer is not satisfied with. Most importantly, being a vegetarian, they should have the sensitivity to understand that if a slice is touching the meat product then they cannot consume it. And again, the employee completely disregarded my health and religious beliefs by not accommodating me. You usually won't encounter problems when you're just trying to buy bread. However, it reflects on the business's employees greatly when there is a problem and they do not value customer service by resolving or accommodating the customer's satisfaction. I will be switching to Noble exclusively. Especially since it's so readily available at the farmers markets and stores.
