AWESOME EXPERIENCE! What a fun ice cream shop with so many homemade flavors! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such a friendly welcome. Ashlynn was WONDERFUL! When she offers to tell you about the shop, sharing a bit of history and explaining how to order your dessert, you know you're already off to an awesome start! She carefully walked us through the homemade specialty cones, brownies, cookies, and all the ways you can turn them into creations of pure goodness. We had a large group of family with us, and instead of making us feel rushed or like a bother, Ashlynn was so kind and said, "Taste testing is the best part, take your time and try what you'd like!" She even offered to guide us by asking what we normally enjoy and explaining the flavors. She is truly a customer service guru!!! I can't say enough positive things about her and how she elevated our experience! The ice cream itself was creamy and so good. I loved the Blue Moon, which was a mystery flavor, it gave me a fun blue raspberry vibe. I also had a mini cone of the cookie dough, which I normally wouldn't choose, but this one was so fresh and perfectly balanced with mix-ins! My group also tried the dairy-free options, which was such a nice touch. It's awesome to have a shop that is inclusive for an allergy kiddo. They even have these neat push pops you can get your ice cream in, the options just felt endless and fun! If you want to try something really good and have a great experience, try Stella's! We stopped into Stella's Ice Cream today and are so glad we did! They offer some very creative flavors, including the one I ordered -- Circus Circus -- a white chocolate ice cream with frosted circus animal cookies mixed in. It was incredibly smooth and absolutely delicious. My daughter ordered the dairy-free mint chocolate chip brownie sundae, and it was wonderful as well. It normally comes with three toppings, but she chose to have them left off and it was still fantastic. In addition to the great ice cream, the employee who helped us was wonderful and happily offered tastings so we could try a few flavors before deciding. I've had this place saved for a while now and finally stopped by on Friday night. It wasn't too busy so we were helped a few minutes after we arrived. The employee was very friendly and let us try out a few samples. We ordered one small cake batter ice cream with a small waffle cone and a mini circus animal cookie ice cream with a mini cone. The circus animal cookie ice cream was delicious and not overwhelmingly sweet. It was very creamy and even had pieces of the animal cookies mixed in. The cake batter was also really good as it was also creamy and almost that of a gooey texture. The inside was clean and well decorated. Finally tried Stella's! Cute ice cream shop in the Verde Cooley Station. Lots of parking available. We were greeted when we walked in and the girl who helped us was very nice. There's two picnic tables outside, two 4 seated tables and one big table with 8-10 chairs. So I can see this place being full during busy times but we came on a Wednesday afternoon so easy to snag a table. We could have as many samples as we wanted and we weren't rushed. The prices are pretty on point with any other gourmet ice cream shop. They have some cute dipped cones as well as cookies and bars. They also have a fridge in the back full of push pops, ice cream sandwiches, pints, doggie treats and cakes! I'm coming back for the push pops! I love that they offer a tiny cone and scoop, enough to satisfy my craving. Oh and they have Blue Moon!!! My fave when I lived in Michigan and don't see it anywhere else. It tastes slightly different but still good! My girls got a scoop of the strawberry and flavor of the week - moonbeam- both delish. Stella's Ice Cream is a great addition to Verde! It recently opened and I've already been a handful of times. The staff is always friendly and helpful, taking their time to walk us through the offerings and flavors. The space is fun, bright, and welcoming. There's ample seating indoor as well as a couple of tables outside. Stella's offers a ton of different flavors, including a dedicated dairy-free menu typically with eight flavors with some rotating. They usually release one new flavor per week. In addition to ice cream, they also offer brownies, cookies including gluten-free options, doggie ice cream, and more. I've tried a few different flavors including dairy-free ones. My favorite so far has been a seasonal flavor, lavender fields or something similar, which was a surprise to me since I don't typically enjoy the lavender flavor. I've also tried their brownie which was great and a gluten-free cookie which was just okay. I'll be back next time a new flavor calls my name! read more

Cute little ice cream shop with some unique flavors. We ended up getting the Guava Cheesecake (sweet, tart, and creamy bites of cheesecake) and the All Nighter (chocolate, coffee, and cookie bits). The only thing that I wish they would add is the flavor names next to the actual ice cream. They only have a list of flavors on the wall. When you look at the ice cream in the freezer window, there are no labels. You either have to ask what flavor you're curious about on the wall or you have to look at the actual ice cream tubs and point at it and ask what it is. It makes sampling and decision making take longer and I think that's why a long line tends to form. read more

Very happy to have Stella's at Cooley Station in Gilbert! We stopped in during the soft opening and loved it! They have a huge selection across the board. They have a great variety of flavors, including a range of non-diary options. Samples are encouraged! A great choice of cones, bowls, shakes, sundaes, ice cream sandwiches, and more. Honestly, the selection they have here is awesome! We tried a bunch of different flavors and they were all delicious! The Chocolate Peanut Butter might have been my favorite but it's a tough choice. All their ice cream is very creamy and smooth, very well made, IMO! They have seating both inside and outside. Inside, they also have cakes and sandwiches pre-made to grab and go, as well as pints of their own flavors to take home! The staff was excellent and very helpful. Sooooo yummy!! My friends and I stopped by for a cookie sundae after dinner and were not left disappointed. Firstly, the staff were wonderful. They were very patient and let us try all types of delicious ice cream flavors. They were all so delicious it was hard for us to decide what to get. I loved their strawberry and cookies & cream. I need to come back asap and get another scoop! The cookies were warm and gooey and the ice cream was perfectly cold. I will say I love anything and everything sweet but I was not able to finish up my order. I would recommend having the ice cream flavor be a simple vanilla or share with another. My best friend and I stopped by after dinner to get some dessert. The shop offered some fun flavors, though nothing really stood out or felt particularly memorable. I asked about the Guava Cheesecake flavor since I have an allergy to real guava, but the staff explained they don't keep an ingredient list for the ice creams. That felt a little concerning, especially for anyone with allergies, since it means customers can't really verify what's in each flavor. At the same time, I understand most people with severe allergies probably wouldn't sample flavors without knowing. They did have a wide variety of cones, cookie sandwiches, brownies, and other options. I ordered a cookies n cream chocolate chip cookie sandwich, not realizing how large it would be compared to the smaller pre-made ones in the fridge. For me, the cookie itself was a bit too rich the chocolate chunks were overwhelming and the overall sweetness was more than I could handle. I only managed a few bites before taking the rest home. On the positive side, the shop interior was bright and cheerful, with fun music and cute décor, which made the atmosphere enjoyable. read more

I've been able to visit in person and order through a delivery app. We received great service. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a great menu with a variety of flavors. I love that the flavors change so you can always try something new. Also, they offer cookies and variety of ice cream dishes and cakes. There are take home items in the freezer, as well. So excited Stella's is in the neighborhood! The space is in Verde and so cute! It's a small space with limited seating inside, no outside seating yet. The ice cream is SO good, they have fun cones like colored cake cones that were a hit with the kids, chocolate , sprinkle and chocolate with Oreos dipped cones. Like, "did I just accidentally order a family-sized dessert for one?" massive. A small is basically the size of your hopes and dreams, so pace yourself. Cookies n Crème was DELICIOUS! It had the perfect amount of cookies, very balanced in sweetness also. My girlfriend had their Strawberry which was very good and a perfect flavor for this Summer heat! My husband and I went to Stellas Saturday night. It was the second time that we had been there, although the first time was maybe day 2 of their grand opening. We were disappointed when we walked in and the place smelled so terrible. We noticed the same thing several months ago when they first opened and it was disappointing to see that it was still the same way. A very strong sewage smell, which I can imagine they've been told before. Anyway, we walked in at about 10:30pm and the girl was cleaning the tables since they close at 11pm. She was the only person in the store and we were the only customers. We stood at the counter for several minutes, looking at the flavors and wondering if she was going to greet or offer to serve us which she did not. She continued to clean all of the tables before she came over to help us. At one point I looked at my husband and said should we go to Salt and Straw? We waited a few more minutes and then she finally came over. She wasnt very friendly and maybe annoyed that we came in 30 minutes before they closed. Very strange. The ice cream was pretty good and the scoops were huge. We wanted to eat inside since it was so hot out but the smell was so awful that we decided to sit and eat outside. It's a cute place inside and the ice cream is pretty good, but they really need to train their staff on their attentiveness to the customers and address the smelliness of the store. That center is such a sleepy little spot after the two restaurants on the opposite side close. It's a shame that they don't open more storefronts that stay open late. Stellas would probably get a lot more traffic. read more

A very busy night! Line was long and the only girl on shift was doing her best. She definitely shouldn't be the only one here with a Sunday night crowd. I placed an online order and came in to see a very long line. So we knew we'd be waiting a bit before our order was made but that was okay. When she finally got to making it, we noticed she had used the same milk in both milkshakes despite mine being a dairy free milkshake and my partners being a regular one. It was disappointing but she was in a rush and there was no point in telling her the mistake. Just a disappointing experience and not entirely the workers fault. Came on a Saturday night expecting a wait, although there was in fact a line it moved very quickly and service was friendly and attentive and they let us try many samples. There are a ton of flavor and cone options here and you actually see them making their delicious waffles cones in house. There is both indoor and outdoor seating which I can appreciate. Stella's, I love you!!! My husband has celiac and is allergic to dairy- truly a brutal combination when you love ice cream. But Stella's just opened by our house and is now my favorite place! Not only do they offer many dairy free flavors, they also have dairy free AND gluten free flavors, not to mention the GF cones and cookies. Let me preface: the ice cream is good. I got the Double with Flower Power (Lavendar Blueberry) and Salted Caramel. What took me by surprise is they charged me for two Single scoops because I asked for...a free sugar cone? The girl who served us was kind and understanding, but the boy who decided to attempt to convince me that a double plus a free sugar cone ($7.75) was the same as two single scoops ($5.75 each) needs some training. If his argument was valid, and I get a double with a sugar cone, I have to pay for the sugar cone, which according to the menu is zero added cost. Along with that, I have to pay for two single scoops because I asked for a cone. After a couple minutes of me trying to understand his math, he tells me the price is correct and it's because of tax. In other words, I have someone trying to convince me that a Double at $7.75 plus tax is the same as two Singles at $10.50 plus sugar cone plus tax. It was more funny than anything but sad at the same time.... I'm sure I'll be back one day, but I'll be a bit more weary about what I'm being charged here. read more

The ice cream is rich, creamy, and definitely leans more traditional compared to trendier spots in the area--which I personally love. The staff was super friendly, though the service felt a bit disorganized and slow. The flow of the line and ordering process could use some fine-tuning. The biggest drawback--and the reason I couldn't give a full 5 stars--was the spoons. They were too flimsy to handle the dense, rich ice cream, which made eating a little frustrating. First time trying this place. Ice cream was good. The place was filthy. Tables were not clean. We waited for a few minutes till someone asked what we would like. But before that happened we were next in line. The employee said she was going to service the customer in back of us before us. Found that odd considering we were in line ahead of them. Later found out she did that because she was friends with them. If this is your policy then at least have the employee have another employee take care of us before taking care of your friends. Very unprofessional. There was some confusion on check out, an employee started to ring us up and then wandered off to service another customer. So another employee rang us up. There are no tables outside for sitting. We had to use the other establishments tables to sit at which made us feel uncomfortable. There are not outside trash bins either. We tried Stella's to celebrate Mother's Day and were so impressed! Our new favorite ice cream place! There was a wait (due to the holiday and it being their opening weekend) and the owners came out and apologized profusely for the delay! They didn't need to, I've wait longer for Handel's or Salt and Straw ice cream. But having them acknowledge it and be aware made the wait feel like no big deal. The flavors were incredible.
