Returned to this magical beautiful place with new friends that needed to experience this magical beautiful place. Walked in around 5:10 for our 5:15 reservation. Was immediately sat down at the table we requested. Immediately we were served our waters. Our server Emily Immediately asked what we wanted to drink. Emily was patient and amazing. She explained every single menu item that we asked about. She if we don't like the drink that was served she could go back and have the bartenders change it just in case we didn't like it they would correct it, but the drinks were perfect, so there was no correction needed. This place was wonderful and would go back here again! First of all, they were popping on Wednesday dinner. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the hostess, plus a very inviting bar behind the stand. Prior to coming, we needed to change our reservation and they were happily able to accommodate. It was everyone's first time here, so the server explained how their menu works and what are the popular dishes. We started with the seasonal Thai salad, Smokey cabbage and pork belly. Our server put in the incorrect order, instead of the pork belly, she put in the chive fries, but she happily comped this due to error. Out of all the apps we tried, my favorite was the salad and actually the chive fries. Salad was fresh with corn, tomatoes, snow peas and the dressing was nicely salty and a bit spicy. The chive fries are reminiscent of chive pancake but cut in long strips, shaped like fries, though I found the sauce it came with too sweet. For our main entree, we all shared the chicken satay (my personal favorite and that satay sauce was to die for), crab fried rice (flavorful but found the old bay seasoning a bit too overpowering), whole market fish was trout that night (loved this was topped with a fresh salad) and crying thaiger (I didn't eat the steak but the grilled okra and the sauces were delicious). All of the entrees came with jasmine rice, but there's an option to get sticky rice and garlic rice for extra fee. I thought this was a good meal and our server was great. We found service to be a bit slow, but they were pretty busy. It got better towards the end of the night as people were leaving. We came for dinner and we ordered a bunch of appetizers to share as well as mains. The ambiance and atmosphere here was very nice. There were tons of parking spots as well. My favorite appetizer was the pork belly! It was fried very well and not too oily. I will say the clam dish didn't have many pieces of clams, mostly shells, for the price I thought it wasn't very worth it. The crab fried rice was my favorite! It was flavorful and not too oily. It still felt "light" for a fried rice. The curry chicken dish was also pretty good and the chicken was very tender. The service was okay, not too sure who our server was tbh cause no one came back to our table. We had to ask for items like our check and boxes. Lovely space and for what it's worth, there's actually parking here, which seems to be a rare commodity in Roswell. I love the unique flavors of their specialty drinks, especially that green curry cocktail with the four drops in it. Across the board, the food was amazing with a fresh perspective and taste profile. Interior space is comfortable, accentuated with gorgeous lighting from the bank of windows facing the square. I wish their outdoor deck was complete with seating. That would have been so good on the one beautiful day in the ATL false spring. Service was good. Food came out quickly. Bussing needs some work. Tipsy Thaiger is a roaring win for the Roswell area. FOOD: Chili Jam Clams ($26) - Loved this dish. The clams are meaty but not chewy. The flavors are sweet, savory, with a slight kick. It's a bundle of umami packed in a small dish. Keep the sauce to add it to your other dishes! She-Crab Fried Rice ($38) - Love the plentiful crab meat and love that they add crab fat to maximize the flavor. The salt-cured duck yolk on top adds that extra depth to the dish as well. Northern Chicken Curry ($28) - This dish was decent. Chicken was tender, curry was good, and the pumpkin was toasted well but I do wish the plate was heated so it would stay hot a bit longer. I would skip the sauce flight or wait until the food is all out since a lot of the dishes either have it incorporated or come out with it on the side. DRINKS: Thai Tea Palmer ($8) - I would buy this in bulk if they started packaging and selling this drink. Who knew Thai tea would go so well with lemonade. It's the perfect balance of "not too sweet" but still so refreshing. SERVICE: Service was good and very inviting. Our server, Maddie, was super attentive and had great recommendations. OVERALL: You can tell the innovative thinking and intentionality in everything from the vibe of the restaurant to each menu and drink. This place is literally Thai perfection! 10/10! So happy we found this restaurant while browsing on IG. Plenty of parking lot spaces in beautiful Roswell. We made dinner reservations and were greeted by a lovely host. He was able to get us seated at the booth seating, which was helpful because my toddler doesn't like high chairs and the booths are always more comfy for her. Mon was our waitress and she was amazing! She recommended some great options for us and everything was AMAZING! We started with the Thai Spa cocktail - this was like a Thai version of the French 75 and was so delicious! We also had some Thai tea - I was disappointed it came in such a small glass filled with tons of ice because it was very tasty! Now for the food - OMG WHERE TO BEGIN? We ordered several starters: 2 orders of the tiger shrimp because my 8yo daughter was obsessed, the Thai hot fried chicken was fried to perfection with the best crunch factor, she-crab fried rice was some of the best crab fried rice I've had in atlanta! One of our favorite dishes was the firey collards that came with a side of jasmine rice - this was pleasantly flavorful and the breadcrumb topping set it off! For dessert we got the bread pudding that came with a side of Thai tea caramel to drizzle on top (so good) and coconut gelato. Had a wonderful time here with a group of 5! This restaurant is a bit tucked away in Roswell, the ambiance is elegant but relaxed, and all the food was amazing. Most of their dishes are a bit more elevated and less common than those you can find at casual Thai restaurants, so I was really excited to try new Thai dishes (especially the seafood). The server told us that they wanted to highlight underrated side of Thai cuisine, which is awesome. My favorites might be the crab fried rice and the creme brulee, but honestly I liked everything I tried. The drinks were also cool and unique, fave unexpected one has Thai curry and lemongrass. Came for an early dinner with a friend Saturday around 5:15pm. We had a reservation but there weren't many people, it did however pickup by 6pm so you'd want a reservation for later dinners. We split the curry sticks and pork belly appetizers. The curry sticks were good but needed a dipping sauce. For dinner we split the chicken curry and she-crab fried rice. The fried rice was good but not a huge portion, especially considering the cost. The chicken curry was enjoyable, but didn't come with rice. Again, for the cost of these dishes I don't understand why the curry can't come with rice. Parking: free lot in the back. read more

I did visit Tipsy Tiger today Sunday prior to 5pm but it was closed, no one was there despite the YES event stating that the it included Sunday, and the hours on the door stating open til 5pm on Sunday. So I was not able to taste anything from this establishment. Not sure why they were closed today. UPDATE . . . So, I misread the sign. It's 5PM to 10pm Sundays. I was able to stop by and have the curry sticks small plate and apple sorbet desert. Delicious! This place has a nice classy vibe and ambiance. It gives upscale! Beautiful presentation. The curry sticks similar to a spring roll were tasty and unique. The apple sorbet was sumptuous, yes I said sumptuous. Haha. The wait staff was friendly as to be expected. Current inspection score 100, they are a newly opened restaurant, but they seem to have something special here. Good first experience set up for the event. I had seen this place everytime on my drive home and was intrigued to see what they offer and followed their social media journey vigorously! Today was the day I got to try it with a reservation and this restaurant blew my expectations! The most wonderful and intimate ambiance with simple yet beautiful decor. The staff were super inviting. Seating is very comfortable and the menu is simple yet has some dishes that looked absolutely delicious. Our server Pimonrat was an absolute joy and super friendly! She gave us great recommendations and checked on us constantly. We ordered some drinks such as mango sticky rice and banana metro. The drink menu had a very helpful description of what those drinks consist of and the "flavors". The wait time was rather long but understandable as it was their soft opening. The food came out fresh and the plating was absolutely gorgeous. I ordered the crab fried rice and it was amazing! The best temperature and perfect amount. The flavors melted on your tongue. My husband got the crying thaiger and the plating was phenomenal as well. We also got dessert and were blown away by the flavor and presentation! Can I just eat here every day?! Truly one of the best meals I've had in recent memory. My husband and I have been so excited for Tipsy Thaiger to open since they began doing pop-ups in the Roswell area. Despite coming in for dinner within only a few weeks of them opening, everything was amazing from the atmosphere to the service and, of course, the food. Freaking delicious. Entrance is in the back so don't make the mistake of walking up to the street to get in. Free parking in back. Server and host were really nice. We came an hour before closing and they never tried to rush us out of there. The drinks were fantastic, especially the pandan Negroni. The mango sticky rice drink is surprisingly refreshing. We order the CCC (crowd favorite and I'd come back literally just for this), chive fries (if a mochi met a French fry and onion ring amazing), hot fried chicken (yummmm), cured pork belly (delish), thaiger shrimp (plump and the chili lime butter is good), the chicken curry (good but we were so full by the time we got here) and the she crab fried rice (generous portion of crab, light and delicious), as well as the oysters (refreshing but spicy). My favorite item on the menu was the chive fries, they were light and airy. I also enjoyed the shrimp, def worth ordering. We split the fried rice and short rib. the short rib was tender and flavorful and I love that it came on top of collards. Rice was full of crab which was a pleasant surprise. Alright, so boom. I rolled through on a Saturday night just looking for a solid meal to kick off the weekend, and they absolutely delivered. I started things off with the Curry Sticks. It's a mix of king oyster mushroom and curried potato, but the real star of the show is that house-made sweet sriracha sauce. I've got high standards for anything claiming to be "spicy and sweet," and this hit the mark perfectly. It was so good I ended up ordering a second round of the sauce just to have on deck. For the main, I went with the She-Crab Fried Rice. Between the crab fat, the Old Bay, and that salt-cured duck yolk, the depth of flavor was serious. It's a heavy hitter, but in the best way possible. I took that extra sweet sriracha and dumped it right on top of the rice, and honestly, that elevated the whole situation to a different level. The space itself is actually a decent size with plenty of room to breathe indoors, so you aren't cramped up against the next table while you're trying to eat. It's got a relaxed atmosphere that works whether you're on a date or just catching a vibe. If you're in the area and want Thai food that actually has some personality, this is the move. We've been really looking forward to trying this upscale Thai dining ever since it opened. We've been waiting on a special event to give it a go, and that happened to be my birthday dinner. We were greeted with a three minute wait at the hostess stand as she took someone else's reservation over the phone, never acknowledging our presence or the growing line behind us. After bringing us water, our waiter took a bit to come back and get our drink and appetizer order. So, we decided to place our entrée order at the same time and she said she would pace it out. For our appetizer, we got the chive fries which were delicious. Unfortunately, our Thai shrimp was lukewarm at best. And our entrées took 30 or more minutes to get to our table after finishing our appetizers. They were good, but nothing seemed to warrant such a long wait. I got the northern chicken, curry, and my boyfriend got the crab fried rice. Overall, this restaurant did not give upscale. Between cold food and subpar service, I was disappointed. My boyfriend even made a note on the reservation that we were celebrating my birthday, but nothing was done by the staff to acknowledge that. If you're looking or a special occasion restaurant, I would pick somewhere else. read more

The ambiance was nice until they sat 20 some people near our two top. The seating arrangement became very noisy. People who were sat at small tables were cramped and the noise level was so loud we couldn't hear each other. There was a lot of eye rolling from the small tables to each other. Staff was nervous as I could tell they felt bad. It greatly impacted our meal as we hurried to eat to get out of the restaurant. Perhaps the restaurant should improve their floor layout. My personal food favorites are the she crab fried rice, Thai tea toast, and the Thai style oysters. They are all packed with bold flavor and beautifully executed. The quality of service truly stands out as well; every member of the serving staff is attentive, friendly, and provides top-tier service that enhances the entire experience (shoutout to wait staff Maddie & Jacky!) Another Special shoutout to Blake the bartender, who is always a smiling face and makes the drinks strong while keeping the vibes high. For drinks, I highly recommend the Green Curry Sour and the Mango Sticky Rice cocktail: both are creative, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Another huge plus is their commitment to sustainability: they donate leftover oyster shells to Shell to Shore to help rebuild reefs, support sea life, and protect Georgia's shoreline. We had a fantastic dinner tonight at the Tipsy Thaiger. Highly recommend the fabulous cocktails -- creative and delicious! We had 3 appetizers to share, the CCC, the pork belly and the spicy chicken. All excellent! The pistachios with the pork belly were quite a treat. Then had a chicken curry and she-crab fried rice as entrees. Delicious. The curry had a kick, but not too much. Dessert was a coconut tart which was both beautiful and tasty. The service was attentive but not smothering. We love that they use local suppliers and farmers and everything is super fresh. We'd get curry sticks again. ++ Two Buddies was sautéed (?) Graffiti Eggplant, fresh tofu, Thai basil, sweet pepper topped with crispy kale. Very flavorful and we'd get two buddies again. +. Sticky jasmine rice was for two buddies and it was fine. +++. Lemongrass wrings arrived piping hot, tower with crispy leeks and makrut dust accompanied by sweet sriracha sauce. The 3 large wings were perfectly moist inside with golden crispy skin outside. The sweet sauce added to the flavor. We'd definitely get the wings again. We ordered a few apps- apps were very yummy and unique. My husband also loved his cocktail with gin and I had a mocktail since it was a week day and mine was also just as good. The mains could have been better honestly, the they do charge for small sauces as well so just FYI. At the price point, you would think the sauces could be complimentary- as everyone's taste buds are different and some need more spice than others. The owner I believe came over and asked us about the food and told me they are changing their menu soon, so hopefully their focus on the mains for the next round. Overall 'great ambiance and apps! Great experience at Tipsy Thaiger! We were excited to try this restaurant for date night, and it did not disappoint! We had quick and friendly service throughout the whole dinner. All of the dishes we selected were so good! Such an interesting unique menu too, so the next time we go back, we will likely select all new dishes to try! Nothing short oF AMAZING! We found the food to be spot on with the authenticity especially because when we visited Thailand we rarely had what all the typical "Americanized Thai" restaurants serve. This place has so much flavor, spice, creativity, and wonderful service all in one! We are so excited to have this in Roswell. They are expanding and have a deck built that is underway for guests which will be beautiful for outdoor dining. The drinks were so unique and they all have a twist of Thai ingredients. They also serve wine and non alcoholic drinks. We ate plenty of the small plates because we wanted to try everything. Our favorites were mussels, CCC, and oysters!
