After many visits over the years, it's still a top place I recommend first to anyone asking for a great meal on Canton Street. Their signature fried chicken remains unbeatable--crispy, juicy, and seasoned perfectly--but the menu overall shows the same level of care. The kitchen keeps things seasonal, and you can tell. Every dish feels thoughtful and well-executed. The dishes have all been fantastic on different visits, and the sides are just as impressive (the okra is still a standout). If there's a nightly special, order it--you won't regret it. The she-crab soup, hogs & quilts, and the meatballs are still must-order favorites. And for dessert, the bourbon ice cream continues to be one of the best endings to any meal--especially if you're already enjoying their great bourbon selection. It's been a few years since I visited and I was so looking forward to coming back. The valet parking is a huge relief, especially as we had a guest in a wheelchair. The menu looked fantastic and we wanted it all! The habanero meatballs were spicy and had amazing flavor. The cornbread is a star as always. The hogs n quilts was a fun take on pigs in a blanket. Our table also ordered a bunch of other entrees, all of which were great. And the desserts! Amazing across the board. We ate at this restaurant years ago. It was great. They moved from where they originally were to a new spot. We called to make reservations and they required you to give a credit card to reserve a table and I felt that was not necessary. I spoke with the manager, he was very rude. I told him I wouldn't be making a reservation if I wasn't going to be there and I do not appreciate having to give a credit card in order to make a reservation. The manager kept talking over me and finally he said well if you wanna do a walk-in then you don't have to do a credit card and I'm like well how do I know we're not going to be sitting and waiting for a table and he said well that's a chance you have to take. Wow a manager willing to give up a customers reservation just because they don't want to have to give a credit card. 4.5 overall: really good food at a bit of a higher price point with an upscale country vibe. We ordered the fancy cornbread and hogs 'n' quilts as an appetizer, fried chicken with macaroni and collard greens as our main, and we got the bread pudding and bourbon pecan ice cream for dessert. The appetizers were pretty good, the corn bread was very light and quite moist. The flavor was leaning towards almost a cake with a hint of sweetness from the corn, but it came with delicious butter that was salty and added a lot of flavor. The hogs'n'quilts was also pretty good, the chive crepe was really delicious and actually had a good flavor but was mostly covered by the bbq pork. The pork itself was good but nothing particularly special. The sauce and coleslaw in the crepes was really good however, they were slightly acidic and added a lot of flavor contrast. Now for the fried chicken, it came out as 2 massive pieces, one of leg and one of breast. The skin was was deliciously crunchy and was well seasoned, while the inside was very juicy and tender. Very good fried chicken like many other reviews say. Now the collard greens were AMAZING, I was so surprised collard greens could be this good. They were sooo juicy, had just a hint of bitterness, and then an acidity that mellowed out with the pieces of bbq pork. They were so addictive and the portion was a lot bigger than the macaroni and cheese, I LOVED this and thought it was also way better than the macaroni and cheese. The mac was alright, again had a light flavor but nothing special. The desserts were overall really good, the peach bread pudding was nice with very sweet blanched peaches. The vanilla ice cream on top was not too sweet, and the cake was fine. The bourbon butter pecan ice cream was also quite good, I would probably just get this next time. Had a beautiful family dinner at Table and Main last night. The restaurant boasts a quiet and casual yet refined environment, offering a high quality experience but leaving the stiffness behind. The menu regularly switches up to reflect the most seasonal ingredients. We went on a Monday night, which is when they offer a $35 pp 3 course meal. I tried the Garden salad, the fried chicken, and the banana pudding and I was blown away with each course. The salad was super bright and acidic, balanced out well by the cured meats served on top. The fried chicken was an astonishingly huge portion and was crisped to perfection. The banana pudding was rich and decedent, the notes of peanut enhancing the overall flavor. The staff was super accommodating as I had booked an outdoor reservation but had a member of my party would was too uncomfortable with the temperature. Our server also did a fantastic job explaining the menu and answering any questions we have. Based on this experience, it's very clear to me how Table & Main ended up as a Michelin recommended restaurant. read more

This place is so cozy & the food and service are incredible. We came here to celebrate my sisters birthday, and they had a signed birthday card on the table when we arrived. They also gave us a complimentary round of champagne for the table, which was an awesome touch. Food was upscale southern cuisine. The fried green tomato appetizer was the best fried green tomatoes I've ever had. Highly recommend. Everyone in our party liked their entrees. Parking is pretty easy (complimentary valet) as well. I visited on a Monday night, which is super popular since they offer their tasting/sample menu option for $35--and you get a lot: a full-sized appetizer, entrée and side, and dessert! I opted for the meatball appetizer, and it was a great start to the meal. It's BBQ sauce-based, not marinara, which is not usually a flavor I gravitate toward for meatballs. I'll say I was pleasantly surprised with the sweet sauce, and the meatball itself was moist and flavorful. It was served with toast in case you wanted to dip it in the sauce. The main star was their famous fried chicken, and I went with the mac and cheese side. DO NOT SKIP EITHER OF THESE! I had a perfectly fried breast piece and a thigh, which is such a generous portion--you will definitely have leftovers. The skin was delicious, and the meat was juicy and so flavorful. The mac and cheese was an excellent side dish and just a classic pairing. For dessert, I opted for the espresso gelato, which was a great ending to a filling and delicious meal. The service was friendly and attentive; however, the food took an extremely long time to reach us after we ordered. We were in no rush, so it didn't bother us, but it was close to a three-hour meal all said and done, which can be longer than you might expect for dinner. We sat on the porch, and the weather was perfect. I would consider bug spray (not sexy, I know), but the mosquitoes were definitely out until the sun went down. We had fried chicken, rabbit, their cherry tomato special and hog n quill. Cherry tomatoes had a very good balance of salty and sweet, while the acidity was on point. Fried Chicken was crispy and tender. Everything was fantastically flavorful. The pork was maybe a bit dry and definitely needs to be lightly dipped with the bbq sauce. Wish the pork had a bit more fat. Just by trying a few items, I can tell you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We were vacationing in the area and stopped by the Main & Table for dinner and so glad we did! Everything we had for dinner was delicious and tasted fresh. Service was friendly. We ate outside on the patio under the patio heaters. It was so nice outside. I got the hamburger which was delicious. My wife got the vegetable plate, my daughter got the fried chicken and shared it with our granddaughter and our son-in-law got the hamburger. Everyone loved what they got. Free Valet but we parked ourselves bc we came at 5:15pm right after they opened. It was cold in the restaurant at first but I got used to it. The chairs are hard, no cushion, but cute little house. K liked the cornbread & I thought it was ok, but I still ate half bc I was hungry (they are small like madeleines). The she crab soup was decent, with a lil spicy kick and some kind of veggies gave it a crunch. Normally, I would add salt to this but trying to be better about my sodium. It's different but we liked it. People were casual summer dressed. Redfish (ok) and collards (took out the stems but good overall) instead of the other stuff the fish came with. THE EXPERIENCE We arrived 30 minutes before our 8:45 pm reservation. Despite several empty tables, there was a wait. After about 20 minutes, my husband asked the hostess if we could be seated at one of the empty tables. She agreed and we passed those tables to be seated in the back, right next to an African American group. The server started off friendly, but when we shared we're from the Dallas Fort Worth area, she pointed to the AA group & suggested we might know them because they're from DFW too. The assumption they we knew each other because we are the same race and live in a metroplex w/more than 8 million people is stereotyping. Shortly after, another African American couple was seated next to us. At that point all of us chatted amongst ourselves and shared the same sentiment about how we were grouped together at the back. We waited a long time for our food; about 40 minutes after ordering drinks and an appetizer, I asked our server for the bill for those items because we had been seated nearly 1 hour without food. Within 5 min, the kitchen delivered our entrees. THE FOOD Appetizer: Meatballs were mushy. Entrees: My husband had steak with collard greens. I had pork chops & macaroni and cheese. The steak & pork chops lacked flavor. The macaroni and cheese was soupy & the greens tasted sweet rather than savory. THE PRICE The bill totaled around $165 for a subpar meal. If we ever visit Georgia in the future, we would never go back Table & Main again. read more

Decided to try this place for restaurant week since I've driven by it multiple times. We sat inside since it's still a little too cold for us, but I imagine eating outside during the spring/fall would be fine. Started with the hogs and quilts (crepes with pork) and the meatballs. The pork was a little dry so the sauce that came with the crepe was helpful. The meatballs were excellent. For the entrees, we had the fried chicken with mac & cheese and the burger with fries. Both entrees were delicious, but had to take half the chicken to go since we couldn't finish. Dessert was banana foster's pudding. This might be the main reason we'd want to go back. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and it was so delicious. We had to wait a couple minutes for a table even with our reservation, but it was super worth the wait. Honestly, our waiter Chris made the entire evening. He was so thorough about explaining the menu and making it a special evening. Great food and service on a gorgeous outdoor patio. There's valet parking as well as a lot one block down the street that was $5 when we went. We opted to sit outside which I highly recommend if weather is nice. The patio is so nice and feels secluded surrounded by greenery. Service was fantastic, drinks always refilled, plates immediately cleared away, always attended to without service feeling overbearing. For drinks, most of our table did cocktails and everyone enjoyed. For apps, split: hogs n quilts which were great flavor; cornbread muffins; and the habanero meatballs which were my favorite. They were so moist and melted in your mouth. I don't like really spicy food but it was just the slightest kick in the sauce which was fantastic. For entrees, I did the GA trout. Great flavor in the fish, but the star was the spaetzle on the side. I could have eaten an entire plate of just that. I took a bite of my husband's burger and it was truly amazing. Cooked perfectly and the cheese and sauce were amazing. Everyone else in our party also loved their entree. Portions were huge and everyone ended up taking a box home. My partner tried the Old Fashioned and the Table & Manhattan, and I had the November Days and Golden Years. Golden Years was my favorite--it was so refreshing and perfectly balanced! For apps, we started with the cornbread, which was airy, light, and delicious. We also had the beets with goat cheese--exactly what you'd expect, but I'm a fan of beets, so I enjoyed it. For our main dish, we both got the shrimp and grits. It was good but nothing super exciting; we both kind of wished we'd ordered the fried chicken instead since it seemed like everyone else was getting it. The server was friendly and helpful with recommendations. It was T&M Monday prix fixe which is a three course with a few options. I went with the Hogs and quilts, fried chicken with side salad and bananas foster pudding. The hogs and quilts was fantastic and honest,y, big enough for a meal. Pulled pork was juicy, tender and flavorful. The Cole slaw and vinegar were perfect complements. The fried chicken was huge. Half a chicken, and a big chicken at that. I ate all of the leg quarter as I prefer dark meat. Super juicy, the breading was crispy. I ate a few bites of the breast and even though it was a thick piece of meat, it was both tender and cooked all the way through. The dessert was actually my favorite. Southern cooking at its best. The fried chicken of my dreams! This is my favorite Southern restaurant in Roswell. My husband and I had the fried chicken ($26.50) and vegetable plate ($18) at our most recent visit. The fried chicken was moist and perfectly fried and the Mac and cheese was creamy. The vegetable plate changes seasonally so there are always new additions. The atmosphere is welcoming and perfect for a date night without being overly stuffy, and you can't go wrong sitting inside or outside. Servers are always knowledgeable and experienced. Although the restaurant has a parking lot, it is by valet only. It is hard to stand the test of time in competitive downtown Roswell, and Table and Main's run for over a decade speaks to the quality of food here. read more

Excellent as always. We've been back 3 or 4 times since our first visit and have good reason to keep coming back. Ryan runs a smooth operation and is an excellent host. Wonderful cocktails - I splurged on the Pappy Van Winkle, which was my first time enjoying that legendary bourbon. But you don't have to go that far - there is a huge selection of bourbons and other whiskies to choose from. The friend chicken is always a hit, and some in our party delighted in that again. We also loved the pimiento cheese and the excellent chocolate cake for dessert. My latest entree was a wagyu beef special, and it was delicious.
