Fried Pork Chop, Yams, Black Eyed Peas and Honey Glazed Cornbread

The best hidden gem in the area with some good southern soul food. The location is decent and the inside is small but doable. Most people either call in ahead or visit and wait for their order. Either way, when you get your plate, the food comes out piping HOT! As you can see, you'll definitely get your monies worth and the food is as delicious as it looks. Please give this place a try!!!!!!

Hey guys long time no hear from! I thought I'd try a spot today for dinner after an appointment and I was excited about this venue from the other reviews. I ordered the 2 fried wings plate and how can I put this the chicken lacked flavor. I also ordered black eyed peas which were good but the real let down is the dressing. Extremely bland and just not executed well. On top of the fact that there is a 2 dollar upcharge for the dressing. Not good! And it's very dry I requested gravy and it didn't help at all. Parking is plentiful as it's in a strip mall. I wish these guys success but I won't be back.

Fried Chicken Whole Wings with Mac and cheese and Steamed Cabbage- very tasty
Kat S.

Solid southern cooking establishment. It won't win any ambiance in dining awards, however. I ordered the whole wing fried chicken and it was made to order. My food came out piping hot, crispy, and well seasoned. I chose Mac and cheese and cabbage for my sides. I am the only stewed cabbage fan in my house so I eat it when it is on the menu. I did find it odd that there wasn't a roll or corn bread served with the meal. Which, I am ok with because most of the time, it takes away from the meal. I don't live close enough to make it a regular take out place. It was a nice lunch option.

2pc Fried Catfish with Steamed Cabbage 3 Cheese Mac and Cream

I found this place by scrolling on TikTok and discovered their page. I did an Uber eats pickup and was skeptical if the food would stay hot; let's say a 23 min drive home the food was indeed still hot. I got the fried catfish, cabbage, mac n cheese main and a fried whiting with mac and yams. Boooooooyyyy that fish is fried perfectly and seasoned well. I did not expect the food to still be crispy and hot when I got home but it was. That was the best catfish I ever had! The Mac was decent definitely creamy, the yams were soft and sweet. The cabbage I could tell they used red pepper flakes to season but it did need a touch of salt. It's a small hole n the wall in a shopping center, but the food is delicious no doubt. Today I wasn't looking for ambiance I wanted delicious food. Customer service 10/10 and they support the community!

Fried Chicken Whole Wings, Red Velvet Cake, Yams, Apple Cobbler, Collard Greens, RC's Baked Beans, Black Eyed Peas

Service was great and most of the sides were solid. Beans were sweet with pork sausage- really unique and I loved them. Mac and cheese, collards, and clack eyed peas were all great. The fried wings I had tasted like they were fried in the same oil as the fish. Not terrible just not what I was hoping for. Apple cobbler was one of the sweetest things I've put in my mouth- couldn't eat it. The red velvet cake was awesome. Cornbread is sweet (like I like it). There are lots of other things on the menu I'd love to try- will be back.

Grilled T-bone steak with collard greens and black eye peas.

Today, for lunch, I had the grilled T-bone steak, cooked medium with collard greens and black eye peas. The steak was cooked perfectly and so tendered I could cut it with a plastic fork and knife. The collards were the best I've had in years. The people running the place and cooking are the best. Eating there, feels like you are home with family.

Fried Chicken Whole Wings

This is a large menu restaurant for sure . For this area that doesn't have lots of soul food i would say it's not bad for the area service is good so that's a plus!

Fried Pork Chop Steamed Cabbage and mac and cheese

Only a 2 star review because the customer service was great! Very comfortable environment. But the food is absolutely nasty. The pork chop tastes burnt and like old grease and the mac has no type of flavor and was nasty. the cabbage was pretty good but i'll won't be back.

Turkey Meatloaf 3 Cheese Mac and Cream Yams

It's a must I go back to try more dishes. It's been a while since I had quality soup food from a restaurant but R C's is bringing the flavor ! Both plates filled to the brim. Not pictured was the Lima beans and apple cobbler. I want them to go BIG! Take over Marietta R C & staff!

Fried Chicken Whole Wings with baked beans and Potato Salad

Dem boys know what they doing back there in that ol kitchen! Baby this food is goodt. Yes, with a T. I've been here quite a few times ordering the fried catfish on my first visit to venturing out and getting the wings on another visit and the fried pork chop on another. The wings are fried to perfection and the pork chop is seasoned well. For sides, I usually get the lima beans when they have em or the baked beans or potato salad. I mean these recipes must be passed down from generation to generation cause this right here is some good ol soul food cooking. It's food ya grandma makes in her kitchen. And the service is great too. They are very attentive and make you feel like you're family.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. It was delicious. My plate did not adhere to typical "eat the rainbow" motto. The food is one color and I could care less. The catfish, seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sides...amazing. Highly recommend!

It came with a cornbread, a buttery biscuit, and banana pudding. I was pleasantly surprised by the other items since the ordering site only listed the entree. Best Shrimp & Grits I've had to date. The shrimp was fresh and not overcooked or rubbery. The grits were smooth. The gravy was well seasoned, but not overly salty or rich. The cornbread and bread or biscuit was good, but not extraordinary. Those were quite dense and heavy paired with the other food. I loved the banana pudding. This meal jumpstarted my banana pudding hyper fixation. Very fragrant and not too thick yet still nice and creamy. It wasn't overly sweet or heavy either. It was a good dessert to round out the meal. I hope to come here again and have an actual sit down experience. Curious to see the ambiance!

Amazing!!! Black woman owned and it shows in the attention to detail…read more Now I may still be high off how great a night I had but let me see the vibe. I was meeting a coworker for a double date and while I was running late I called and they were cool the whole way. I get there they had some drinks the enjoyed bad the waiter (J if I got that right) was on point with suggestion. I did their friend chicken for personal reasons and it didn't disappoint. I also tried the salmon egg roll and lemon pepper wings and yes the lemon pepper wing brings nations together. I'm from nyc I saw it happen. Anyway after I slapped the table for how good the fried chicken chicken treated me I yelled at the bartender in praise to explain that green tea French 75 was to damn good and I needed a second ones. The whole point of the night was me wanting my coworker to be cool with me outside of work is d this place made me look cool. They sake if I been here before and wanted to go out wherever I'd suggest. To end the glaze the bartender won awards and honestly I will ABSOLUTELY be back. This is just the right level of "I know places" to make me look cool but also make me impressed as a newcomer. It's gem. Loved it!

I'll admit, it's hard for me to fully enjoy soul food when dining out since I'm used to cooking it to my own taste at home. That said, the service was excellent--our waiter was very hospitable and attentive throughout the meal. The restaurant itself had a quaint, cozy atmosphere, and I appreciated the option for outdoor seating.

Happened upon Ms. Rubys Peach Cobbler by accident as my mom and I were trying to find a boutique…read morethat we discovered was no longer there. So we stopped in to the cafe to get something to eat. The establishment was clean and they had a nice variety of food to choose from. The staff wasn't...unfriendly...I'll say they were focused. This day my mom ordered smothered turkey wings with rice and gravy and about 4 or 5 sides . I ordered the fried chicken with black eyed peas, green beans, and yams. The food was DELICIOUS!! The reason if ace them three stars was because I went back the next day to grab a few plates for me and my family that I was going to bring back home from Atlanta. Before I left my mom's house unused Uber Eats to place my order and I would pick it up and then hit the highway home. I ordered my food around 1:35pm and got the notification it would be ready by 1:53. Cool! I'd have time to get there without rushing as the ride would take about 25 minutes. Well I get there around 2:05 and had to wait a few minutes before I was served as there were people in line before me. Well long story short...I didn't leave the restaurant until around 2:45 as they hadn't even started on my order when I arrived! Ten people came in after me and left before I did...!! Which of course put me way behind schedule on getting back home. And on top of all that...three things were replaces on my order...I was sitting there the WHOLE time!! They could have asked me about replacements. And I say that because I have a gluten allergy and they gave me macaroni & cheese!! No cornbread that should have been free. I thought they would have at least offered me a dessert for making me wait so long but...they didn't. So even though our food was delicious...the service I received on day two definitely needed some work!!!! The food is definitely down home southern comfort food and the menu has a variety of options. I will be back but I sincerely hope that I receive better service next time.

No picture sorry…read more I'll get to the point. Not from GA, but while here decided tk try what was local. PROS - food well seasoned. I ordered Black Eyed Peas, baked chicken, yams, and peach cobbler. 3 stars - Weird vibe, I get the seating outside but no restroom available for customers - had to eat this food in the rental car. Then go to local Publix to wash my hands from the food. Not pleased. CONS - peach cobbler albeit good the portion size for 8.00 was a tall ask. I get the profit margin here however I think if you want returned customers I think allowing paying customers to use the restroom would be ideal. Noon time I'd think the service bar area the take rations from should always be cleaned and presentable for selection. It wasn't. Almost left but had a drive ahead of me so this was about taste vs demand.
