Exceptional! I'd rate it in the Top 20 of restaurant meals I've experienced. That good. From arrival to departure, the ambience, service, presentation, and food were outstanding. Highlights? Cheese whiz and fiery Cheeto bites (yep, I'm not kidding) ceviche; wagyu beef; tiramisu. Wine pairing was superb. Kudos to Russell and his colleagues for excellent service. Lastly, hats off to owner Jonathan for his vision and leadership in bringing this restaurant to North Georgia -- BRAVO!!! Cheers! RS

Came here with Tasting Collective on a Sunday night, and it was worth the drive to the suburbs! It was a 5 course tasting, and 4 of the courses hit it out of the park. The sashimi course was bland, and the fish was a bit dry. They are likely turning to a tasting only menu, and I expect that if Michelin comes to Roswell, they'll get their star. The flavors were fresh, bold, and well-balanced. The service was attentive and informative. The chef explained that they use as many ingredients as possible from their garden. The beets were tender with a simple prep to allow the ingredients to shine. People at my table who disliked beets even loved this dish. It was not a large amount of food, but I was satisfied at the end. Will be back with friends to try the complete tasting.

10 STARS!!! Definitely a special occasion or date night. One of my favorite places I've had in ATL. We started at the bar and had the most incredible drinks. True bartending at its finest! We did the tasting menu and I would highly recommend. Definitely splurge for the A5 and the Carpaccio if you can. It's worth it! The service was true fine dining. Everything was excellent and thought through from start to finish. Pretty expensive, so expect a $$$ kind of night, but totally worth it.

Truth Be Told: The $1,000 Dinner That Left Us Hungry When you spend close to $1,000 on dinner for four people, the general expectation is that you leave impressed, maybe a little dazzled, and ideally not wondering where you can find a sandwich on the way home. Unfortunately, that was our experience at Truth Be Told on what was my third visit to the restaurant. My first two dinners there in August 2025 were excellent. Beautiful space, creative food, thoughtful presentation, the kind of place you're excited to recommend to friends. In fact, I talked it up enough that I convinced my husband and another couple to join us, which in hindsight feels a bit like enthusiastically recommending a movie sequel that absolutely did not live up to the original. The restaurant itself is still gorgeous and the food is plated like it belongs in an art museum, but somewhere along the way the tasting menu appears to have been hit by the same shrink ray from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Portions are dramatically smaller, the number of included courses has mysteriously gone down, and the list of add-ons has multiplied so enthusiastically that there are honestly more ways to increase the price of your meal than there are items actually included in the prix fixe. It starts to feel less like a menu and more like the airline industry where the seat, oxygen, and landing are all optional upgrades. Case in point, I ordered the $65 A5 Wagyu add-on because if we're already headed toward a four figure dinner bill, why not commit. Four slices arrived looking beautiful. Two bites were excellent. The other two were essentially just fat. Not "luxurious marbling" fat. I mean the kind where you chew once and immediately realize you're basically eating something that once considered becoming a candle. When I asked the server if that was typical for the dish, the proposed solution was to bring me a hanger steak, which is a bit like ordering champagne and being offered a LaCroix as the corrective action. The hanger steak arrived and I took one bite and it was chewy enough that I briefly wondered if the cow had died of natural causes. Eventually they did bring a properly prepared Wagyu replacement which was excellent, but at this level of dining the guest probably shouldn't need to lobby quite that hard just to have the original dish executed correctly. Service throughout the evening had a slightly improvisational feel. Plates arrived with a lot of "who ordered this?" followed by silence, followed by more silence, until someone eventually adopted the dish like it was a stray puppy. Food was essentially auctioned off at the table, which is not exactly the polished tasting menu choreography one expects at this price point. Then there was the OpenTable reservation situation which made it appear that I had prepaid more than $400 toward the reservation, yet there was absolutely no explanation on the final bill about how that was applied or credited. At a restaurant where dinner for four lands around $1,000 with tip, the billing process probably shouldn't feel like a small financial mystery. The most interesting moment of the night, however, happened at the large table next to us where I overheard guests giving almost identical feedback directly to the owner about the value and the sheer number of add-ons layered into the menu. So it clearly wasn't just our table wondering what had happened here. The most telling moment came from our server, who looked genuinely embarrassed and at one point said we didn't need to leave a tip. We did anyway because he personally was trying his best inside what felt like a very confused system. So to the owner, if you happen to read Yelp reviews: you have a beautiful restaurant, talented chefs, and a concept that could absolutely work, but right now it feels like someone replaced the hospitality playbook with a spreadsheet. Shrink the portions, stack the surcharges, confuse the service flow, and hope no one notices. Unfortunately... people notice. And when dinner costs $1,000, the last thing your guests should be doing on the drive home is debating where to stop for food.

The curated Tasting Collective menu was phenomenal and have the Chef give us the background on the restaurant, the name and their ingredients sourcing practices made it a truly unique experience.

I haven't had this much fun at dinner maybe ever. It was truly a delight in every sense. We had been seated for an hour and a half before we ate anything we actually ordered. Every 15 minutes or so was another surprise. I'm afraid to post photos to ruin the surprise element for anyone else so proceed at your own risk. We were seated in the dark room off to the right which I highly recommend as it added to the mystery and intrigue. Our waiter was more excited to share what chef had prepared than we were which added to the experience. The bartender served us our cocktails directly which was an awesome addition to the service. We had a team of 4 or 5 taking care of us. We ordered 3 items each and 2 cocktails. We received an additional 8 items and 2 cocktails. The number of items we got and the sheer number of ingredients and technique - I think it's under priced. Lastly nothing we tried seemed crazy and adventurous just for the sake of being crazy and adventurous. All hits, no misses.

We went to Truth Be Told to celebrate our Daughter's birthday. We spent over 3 hours enjoying and loving every minute. There were surprises every 15 minutes that amazed us in their beautiful presentation and our palates rejoiced. The many different flavors and pairings were beyond creative. Our Grandson cannot tolerate dairy so the prepared dishes that he could eat and he did...every morsel. I cannot offer enough praises. Our waiter Zion was a delight. Service was outstanding. In and outside of the restaurant has been designed with loving care. Do not miss this experience.

Delicious Cocktail, that are very friendly people! Great ambiance! Can't wait to come back!!!

Wow, we were blown away by Truth be Told. The food was great, the service was EXCELLENT, and the drinks were consistent and delicious. They brought us out so many special treats throughout our meal and even surprised us with caviar. It was such a special evening and one I won't soon forget. The only feedback I'd have is around timing - the meal took almost 3 hours, which felt like a long time to us. There was a lot of empty time in between our courses. I think if you tried to get pre-fixed meals in and out of the restaurant in 2 hours or less, that'd be ideal. But overall, it was such an incredibly special meal. 5/5 stars.

Huitlacoche & saffron tart, thin chicken skin w/ an eggy-mustard sauce & caviar pearls, semi-sweet churro w/ gruyere & hot cheeto.

What we ordered: Apps: * Fattoush salad - Fresh and full of flavor with crisp radishes, cucumbers, tomato, and a nice hit of sumac. * Dill labneh - Flavor-packed and delicious, though a bit thick, which made it harder to scoop with the soft pita. Mains: * Chicken barg - Phenomenal. Incredibly flavorful and easily the star of the meal. The house dressing on the side was addictive - I was literally scooping up extra rice just to dip into it. I substituted the rice for grilled veggies (up charge of +$7 felt extreme esp considering the entree was already $30) but the veggies were absolutely delicious. Squash, zucchini, peppers, onion, pineapple. * Honey harissa chicken - Disappointing. Lacked flavor, cook wasn't great, and didn't compare to similar dishes elsewhere (DelBar) * Adas pollo rice - Decent with a nice crunchy exterior, but overall just okay in both flavor and portion. Also doesn't compare to DelBar's. Service: We sat at the bar. Our bartender seemed newer and struggled a bit, but her teammate stepped in and really elevated the experience with great service and humor. Overall: Great vibes, strong bar, and some truly delicious food. A few misses, but the highlights make it easy to recommend.

We started with the pimento cheese dip and were both surprised to find that it was served hot along with several pieces of soft, warm bread. It was SO good and a nice change from the way that most other restaurants serve their pimento cheese. Even hubby loved it and he is usually not a fan of cheese. For my main, I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that this is THE BEST MEAL I have had in a really long time. Total comfort food that hit all the right spots on this chilly afternoon. The cheese on the sandwich was just the right amount of ooey gooey and the tomato soup was perfection. I was tempted to lick the bowl when I got to the bottom, but that wouldn't be very dignified while dining out, so I did the next best thing by sopping up the residue with what was left of my sandwich. It was delicious and I will be back for more soon. Hubby ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and said it was the best chicken sandwich he has had. He is hard to please, so between the pimento and sandwich, 1920 achieved the improbable in impressing hubby. Service was impeccable. The main reason we had not come back in a while is because it is a small space and can feel pretty congested when it fills up, which is not the most comfortable. We don't like feeling crowded, but after today's visit, we decided that the limited space is a small price to pay for amazing food and service, so we will undoubtedly return soon. Perhaps we will try sitting outside instead when the weather cooperates. Big thanks to 1920 for starting our new year off on the right foot!

It never really got busy but they had only been open for a little while back then. It was a cool find! Interesting to say the least... but I am still surprised about the food. After sitting for 25 minutes with no greeting, we stopped the hostess to ask if we could order. She seemed surprised that no one had helped us and came back about five minutes later to take our full order. It took 45 minutes after being seated to finally get our drinks. The excuse? "No clean wine glasses." At that point, I would have gladly taken my wine in any clean glass they had. The only reason we stayed was because the band was genuinely good. Meanwhile, the food runner wandered from table to table "auctioning off" dishes because he clearly didn't know where anything belonged. When our food arrived, it actually tasted good - but the service issues overshadowed everything. After we finished eating, our server disappeared again. We eventually had to get up and find her just to get our checks. Part of our friends' order ended up on our bill, but we didn't bother waiting for her to correct it. To top it off, there was a random 3% service charge (for what?) and an automatic 20% gratuity added because there was a band. Not cool, especially given the terrible service. The entire restaurant felt unprepared and overwhelmed, and no one ever apologized for the extremely long waits. Will I go back? Probably not. The prices are far too high for the level of service we received.
