I really love this place. The food is amazing, and the staff has always been super sweet and welcoming. That's honestly why this is hard to write, because we genuinely enjoy coming here. But I do want to be honest about the service time. This is now the second time we've come in and waited an extremely long time just to be greeted or get drinks. The first visit, we waited about 40 minutes before anyone came to our table. This time, we waited around 30 minutes with no water, drinks, or anyone taking our order. I usually come with my kids, and by that point they were starving, so we ended up leaving and ordering our food to go instead. The crazy part is we usually know exactly what we want right away, so it's not like we were taking extra time deciding. We ended up going next door because the wait was much quicker. I'm really surprised I haven't reviewed Fellows before since we've been coming here for years. Fellows is consistently my favorite brunch in the Roswell area. The dishes we return to over and over again include the usual, the sweet potato eggs Benedict, and the huevos rancheros. The rotating seasonal drinks are always unique and thoughtful, and often a fun design is made too :) The interior is beautiful but you can't go wrong with either the patio or garden either. I was actually pleasantly surprised by my recent visit to Fellows! I got the Turkey Melt sandwich from their Holiday menu and it was delicious! It was served on fresh sourdough and had a delicious assortment of toppings. It came with delicious tomato soup as a side. Do not recommend. Another disappointing experience. The manager, Imani, was very rude and passive-aggressive. We made a reservation a month in advance for a garden seat. It was raining that morning, but since we received no call, text, or email warning that outdoor seating would be unavailable, we reasonably assumed there was some sort of covered outdoor setup. When we arrived, we were told outdoor seating was closed, and the manager's "solution" was either: 1. Wait over an hour for an indoor table while leaving my dog outside in the rain, or 2. Sit outside "if we wanted", despite the rain, no cover, and all outdoor chairs already being put away. I asked why no one had contacted me beforehand. The manager first said a notification has been sent that morning. When I said I did not receive any email, she then said it was a text. I showed her my phone -- nothing from the restaurant except the reservation confirmation. She had no response and no apology. When we asked why she couldn't acknowledge the issue and apologize. She refused to apologize, saying she would not serve us and asked us to leave. Not a single sorry. Just arrogance, attitude and dismissive responses -- from a manager who clearly couldn't care less about her customers. We won't be coming back. Trying to find a date brunch on a Friday landed us here in Roswell at Fellows Cafe. While it is a little pricey, I would say that it wasn't too bad. Your best bet is to park your car a little further away and then walk to everything. It's within walking distance, and I think it's great if you're just trying to explore the area. I would suggest to park near city hall, library, or the arts center as its only about a 5 minute walk from there. Now the food. I got.a pistachio rose latte and the fellows board. I didn't want something way too heavy that I wouldn't be able to eat dinner, and I wanted to try out the rose latte. It was pretty sweet, which was nice and what I needed as an afternoon pick me up. I also thought the charcuterie board was great. The spread was great and I really enjoyed the bread. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here. I don't know if I would come back here just because their menu wasn't really too exciting. Sort of had the same kind of brunch items that you would see elsewhere. However, if I lived in the area, this would definitely be one of the better places to eat at or even just going to get a coffee. I saw that a lot of their patrons were people who were using the cafe as a place to work and also to get coffee. I thought that was pretty cool. All of the food looked amazing but both my wife and I felt the restaurant was incredibly "style over substance". The flavors were very one dimensional, at least in what we ordered. Even the butter (unsalted I'm guessing) and what I believe was apple butter that came with my side of toast (excellent toast) had no flavor or spice to it. Thank god I ordered bacon on the side. It was nice and salty. The restaurant is definitely Instagram worthy as far as atmosphere and ambiance. It is the coolest vibe, but man were we disappointed in the food. I decided to check out the café for a Sunday brunch. I was in the area and have heard great things about them so I decided to check them out and take myself on a cello brunch date. I was able to get a seat at the bar without a wait. I ordered the White peach Matcha and it was surprisingly very good. I'm not a big Matcha fan but got into a little Matcha recently so I wanted to try this drink. It wasn't too heavy with the Matcha which I liked, but you could still tell that it was Matcha if that makes sense. The white peach added a refreshing aspect to it and overall made for a pleasantly delicious drink. As far as my food I chose based off of another foodie I know and a dish that seems to be fairly popular there. I ordered The Usual that comes with two scrambled eggs, bacon, half avocado, dressed greens, roasted sweet potatoes, half slice of rustic sourdough. I opted for egg whites and turkey bacon for mine. I also ordered one lemon ricotta hotcake as that was recommended as well. Everything came out fairly quickly, and they have a nice little cut out in which you can see the kitchen and as your food is being sent out. I really enjoyed my meal as it was filling and satisfying. It gave me a healthy feeling so I didn't feel guilty lol and tasted fresh. I liked that this was a clean meal that I could enjoy, but also with satisfying to my taste buds. The lemon ricotta hot cake was simply delicious as well. The staff was very friendly and my waitress made sure to take good care of me. We were a few mins late to our reservation, so we needed to wait outside for ~15-20 mins for another table to be ready. The interior of the restaurant is super cute, we were seated outside though. It was a beautiful sunny day, so we didn't mind - but I would definitely recommend going inside and looking around since it's absolutely darling in there! I felt like the service was quite slow and maybe our waitress forgot about us sometimes, but truly we didn't mind since it was a girls brunch and we had tons to catch up on, so it gave us plenty of time to chat! We all tried the seasonal iced lattes (almond brittle and orange rosemary). To be honest, they tasted like normal lattes with a fancy garnish, still good though and not too sweet. We got the seasonal orange bun and banana toast to split for the table, both were good but likely would try something new next time. We all got the eggs Benedict and a side of sourdough toast - we asked for butter and hot sauce, which was delicious! Both the eggs Benedict and toast were very good, would definitely reorder!
