I gave this nail salon a one star because that's what I believe it deserves. I went in for a fill, I made an appointment, and it was a 35 minute wait. Hopefully they're not always like that, but it happened twice.. They must not write down the appointments or they fake write them down? Anyways, I asked to keep my square shape and length-- they did not do either. I left with much rounded and shorter nails. The gal kept answering the phone and, honestly, her phone got more attention than my nails. It was not that busy, they were short on staff is my guess. the lady answering phones let a different gal paint my nails and she did not do a solid job. there was the whole side of my nail that did not get painted and a slight gap between my cuticle and the acrylic. needless to say, I will not be coming back... Got plain white french tip full set acrylic. So I came here on a Monday morning when they first opened at 930am. The lady I had was alright demeanor. She wasn't extra nice but she wasn't rude either. She didn't really talk to me. Her work. She didn't cut short my nails. She didn't properly glue the nail tip to my actual nail leaving a gap in between my real nail and plastic tip. Leaving that gap means gunk can get into it. She didn't shave or cut my cuticles or push them back or anything. So they're just over grown. When she had put on the acrylic part she didn't push them back, leaving a gap in between my undone cuticles and the back of the acrylic. So as soon as I washed my hands and left the place. Sitting in the car examining it. My nails look like they already need a fill. Maybe it was just that lady or something but it was a lame experience. It was expensive too. read more

Great service and the employees were all really nice. Decent price too but I gave them 3 stars because my shellac nails peeled off after only three days. I don't think they use purely shellac when they applied the polish and added regular polish as well. Wish it would have stayed on longer because the girl did a great job. Needed my nails done for my baby shower this weekend but will have to go elsewhere for now. Hope they fix this because I would have been a regular otherwise. Good luck! read more

I give it a two star because it's a clean shop but besides that there's nothing else that makes me go there. The staff including the manager( not sure if she's the owner) is not friendly and I've noticed she only acknowledges a certain type of people. They are very cold and I don't feel like they do anything special. A tip is a right for them and even though I tip close to 30%, they never seem appreciative.I've been going there for a while but after my last visit, I've decided it's time to go to another shop. I found the employees at this salon to be very rude and unprofessional. Young girl doing my pedicure today snapped at me and said I moved my foot and messed up polish as she was putting on my flip flop! I didn't move and as she gasped, her arm touched my other foot and she got polish on her arm. She acted so mad and annoyed. I have heard other employees talk to clients rudely here before. I had a very good appointment with Tam today! She gave me a full set of acrylics, and I'm very happy with them. The shellac topcoat of polish is something I probably won't do frequently, but it's nice to get into the car to drive without worrying about banging up the polish. It's nice to have a nail salon experience without a TV on, generic wallpaper music in the background, and while it was busier than most places I've been on a Wed afternoon, it was adequately staffed, appropriately scheduled, and while the staff spoke to each other in Vietnamese, it wasn't gossipy and loud like I've experienced elsewhere. I went there last Sunday,which was great to have it open on a Sunday. My first time there. I had a mani/pedi they took me right a way as I had called in an appointment. The water was somewhat cooler than I like for the pedi, my bad for not telling them to heat it up. The pedi was not not the best but not the worst I've had the massage could have been better the two ladies were chatting so not paying much attention to the job at hand. They did both the mani/pedi at the same time, so no time to just relax and enjoy the experience. My French mani came off the next day, was out of town so couldn't go back. Toes still look good. My daughter came here for a mani/pedi with three friends for her friends 11th birthday party. The girls were so excited to get their nails done. The staff was less than excited to have them there. They were very busy and irritated even though we had an appointment. When my daughter asked how many flowers she could get painted on her nails the tech rudely said "you want more, you pay more". When her friend asked for gems on her nail, the tech sighed and shook her head. The techs spoke only to themselves. Unfortunately, one of the girls in our group understood and spoke their language and heard them call the girls "ugly" and "little devils" and "demanding". When the manager was told, she said she would take care of it, but no apologies were made and they still charged them full price. I would never recommend this place and will never be back. read more

I decided to try out their waxing services and thought that since my nail experience had been so great, this would be too, WRONG! But I just took my little sister here for pedicures and the girl doing my sisters toes was on her phone 90% of the time WHILE doing my sisters toes, and eventually left to finish her phone call telling some other girl to finish my sisters toes. Extremely unprofessional and didn't leave a tip for her. The girl who did my toes was good so this place isn't awful. Came in here with my girlfriend for pedicures. Everything seemed really clean and nice. They did a seriously good pedicure, pretty much the best we have had. The one thing that really impressed me was the disposable liner they use in the chairs for maximum hygiene. Great service, will be back! read more

Decent customer service, but not great product. My pedicure started chipping after one week, and by two weeks most of the toes were peeling. I know I'm not being overly picky, because I get pedicures all the time, and in my experience a good pedicure typically lasts at least 3 weeks without starting to chip and crack. This is the third time my daughter and I went. The first time we had the woman with the long hair ( she manages/owns it?). She did a Great job!!!! The second time, my daughters paint on her nails was done by another person & they were okay. This third time, my daughter got a french tip polish. Her old polish wasn't removed completely and the white tip was very crooked. I realize they were busy, but it's important to still do a quailty job. When I informed and showed the woman that all of the pink polish wasn't off my daughters nails, she ignored me and told me how much was due. It's also very infortunate that the ladies don't speak much english. The only thing she said to my daughter was to hold her hand still. Just not very friendly at all. I think what I've learned, is to only have french tips painted on by the lady with the long hair, or have the whole nail painted, or to just go elsewhere. read more

I've been in four times now for my acrylics. I can admit I'm very picky when it comes to the shape of my nails. Not everyone can get the stiletto shape right. But let me tell you.. They're perfect. This is my first time here and I asked for a shellac polish. It took her maybe 10 minutes to get me in and out and it is the sloppiest polish I've ever had. The lady literally did my nails as fast as possible, wasn't even paying much attention to my nails and was talking to the lady at the seat next to her in korean or whatever the entire time. She was very aggressive and kind of threw my hands around when she was done polishing them. For me, Yelp is bitter sweet. When it comes to a restaurant, YOU should decide what tastes good....but when it comes to a nail salon, do...your...research. I fought with her for about ten minutes, telling her how I wanted my nails done (tips even and straight across), but in the end she left them all slanted to the right. Pedicure. Sooo disappointed in this place. I had heard bad things about Tip and Toe Paradise since it first opened, but a friend suggested it yesterday and I wanted a chance to visit with her so agreed to give it a chance. Wish I would have trusted my gut. Rude. Unfriendly. Unprofessional. From the second we walked in the door I knew. We weren't ever properly greeted. Grunted at to pick a color the second we walked in the door, then told they were ready and to come sit in the chair. I don't think the worker ever spoke to me except when I asked her for less pressure and she repeated what I said to clarify. She was very gloomy and had no expression the entire time. She never smiled. No conversation (except the side ones they have with each other in a different language.) Completely impersonal. Rough massage and the work on the pedicure was shotty. Paint not all the way to the skin and they use those sharp scissor tools which are painful, break the skin, and usually cause ingrown nails. Not happy. She was clueless to how I was feeling about the whole thing and never asked me how I was doing or anything. It was clean enough and very busy surprisingly. Those of you who call this your home salon, I'm sorry. You're missing out. I've had pedicures from Mexico to Canada, Idaho to Downtown Seattle, Vegas to Olympia. There's no place that does a better job than Mylee at Nail Care System in Auburn. Their pedicures last 6 weeks minimum, every single time! They are friendly, kind, and professional. Depends on what you are looking for in a pedicure experience I guess. I want my pedicure to last; meaning the paint job is awesome and won't chip off or grow out too fast because they paint all the way close to the skin. We will see if this paint chips. I have my doubts based on the sloppy way she put it on and the lack of precision and the fact that they don't put a setting spray on when you are finished. I also like a friendly experience where you feel like your $25 means something to the person touching your feet, or at least the manager/owner taking your money. If you don't like driving out of MV, Bluewater and Lovely Nails have much better customer service. They actually engage in conversation, smile, and treat you like a human being that matters. I've had good experiences at both of those places, the paint jobs just don't last as long as I want them to, and thus driving to Auburn is worth it! No way I will go back to this place. The final kicker was when we were finished and walk up to the counter to pay. She didn't talk to us. She literally stuck out her hand to grab my debit card, ran it, gave it back. Bam. Done. Nothing...didn't ask how our service was, didn't say thank you, didn't speak. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

The first time I went in, it was a decent experience. Fairly average to most nail shops. I returned a week later to get a cracked fixed. They lady clearly had no idea what she was doing. She filed about half of my polish off, and the proceeded to apply acrylic. I asked her what she was doing. And why she didn't file out the crack. She said "its more better this way." In 25 years of getting acrylic nails. I have NEVER had someone put acrylic on top of my polish. I repeatedly asked her what she was doing and why she would file out the crack. She kept giving various excuses to the point that I was starting to make a scene! I will never go here again. If she didn't know how to fix it, she should not have tried! Now I'm going to have to go somewhere else to get this monstrosity fixed!! read more

Their polish selection is old and dried up looking. Polish chipped after just one day. After 3 days each nail looked like it had been a month.... Not 3 days. I didn't clean or do dishes either. Went back 7 days later and took 3 little girls. I also took my own polish. They made my children wait and sat adults instead and only did one child at a time. They kept us in there for 3 hours and drug their feet on my own service to justify making my kids wait. My kids were there before all those mani pedis and should have been taken care of first. I would have tipped MUCH better and they would have made more on a simple nail color. I still left a nice tip just not as much as I normally would. I will never go back. read more

Nail services were okay. When I got a manicure the nail tech gave me a neck/shoulder massage from behind that was actually painful and she didn't ask first. It was weird because I've never received a neck/shoulder massage while getting my nails done and I didn't enjoy it. Probably wouldn't come back because that was uncomfortable. read more
