Went for lunch Friday 1pm. Service was fast and the place was full. Specials are $8 to $9.Tried the pad Thai and drunken noodles. Vegetable soup was Meh...too brothy. Complimentary spring rolls were nice. Drunken noodles were awesome... Good spice. Pad Thai was alright... Not much peanut taste but very sweet read more

I went to tiny Thai on a Saturday afternoon and the place was completely empty so I thought I would be treated well, WRONG!! The waitress took forever to take our order because they were busy eating their own lunch! Throughout the entire time I had to keep waving the waitress over to service us which was ridiculous being that my friend and I were the only two people in the restaurant! The waitress kept rolling her eyes and barely wanted to service us... The food wasn't even good, my plate was soaked in oil. Absolutely horrible service I didn't even bother leaving a tip. I will never go back to this restaurant read more

Very good Thai meal here... First time. Steamed dumplings were good but Sausage Salad was better. Tangy dressing with lots of Chinese sausage. Perhaps a bit of char on the sausage might have helped. Interesting Thai basil sauce- very flavorful but such a deep red color! I guess that was a good sign. Very good pineapple fried rice. I'd give 1/2 star more if possible but the waitress seemed bored and didn't respond when spoken to. read more

Good food, servers are running around a lot. Better service would make this place a 5. Portions are a little small, but reasonably priced.

Alright, so maybe I've been in NY for too long and my Thai food snobbery has lessened over time or maybe, just maybe, I've finally found out how to get spicy, delicious Thai food. Order the pad thai (tofu for veggie me) at a number 8 on the heat scale. HEAVENLY spicy and delightful. read more

I've passed this place many times, but always at lunch time... and they're not open for lunch. Finally had the opportunity to stop in for dinner tonight. The restaurant is aptly named. It is a Thai restaurant, and it is TINY. Fortunately, as it was a Tuesday night, it wasn't very crowded. I was a bit disappointed that I didn't see Beef Satay on the menu (only chicken was listed) but they did have my favorite soup: the Chicken Coconut soup. I had a cup of that, and the beef panang curry. The waittress asked me how I would like it, as it was already listed as "two peppers" on the menu (or "Very spicy"). I told her I liked my food spicy, so she said she'll make it "three peppers." I was ALMOST worried, because I had the "Extra Spicy" at Jai Ya in Hicksville and lived to regret it (but just barely). My fears were unfounded. The food was "hot enough." Definitely broke out in a sweat, but my mouth didn't feel like it was sucking on hot coals... in fact, I barely touched my glass of (excellent) Thai iced tead. After the soup and the entree, I didn't really have any room left to try any desserts. I did see her serving one table a flaming "something" but I guess I'll have to find out what that was next time. I'll definitely be back. Now if they only put beef satay on the menu I'll give it the fifth star... read more

I gave it four but I really wanted to give it 3 and a half stars I will explain... So I'm a big guy and so I was worried when I saw the name of this place because it looked like it was gonna be tiny inside as well, but to my surprise it wasn't . I had the pad thai and I was a bit disappointed.. it was like there was no heat at all I had to add my own. Once I added my own I was pleased with the meal. I think I liked my friends dish better almost though she went with the same plate but where I got the chicken she went with the veggie. i think the thing I liked best was that they were very attentive to my water. I like because I have almost cut all soda out of my diet its helped me lose a lot of weight. read more

This place used to be so darn good. Quality of food has gone down. Not sure if the chef changed or what but the food is just OK. It's so hard to find a quality Thai restaurant on Long Island. read more

Delicious food from a hole in the wall. It's tiny and understaffed, so expect a long wait for service and irritation from the servers if you take very long to order or pay. If what you want is good food, it's up there with the best. Just be prepared for the atmosphere. read more

Tom yum soup with chicken smelled really funky like ass. Fortunately it didnt taste like ass ha. Chicken pad thai was a littlr on the sweeter side than i normally am used to. They made a mistake with my panang curry by giving me chicken instead of pork, but still tasted good. Curry puffs came in 4 and was great. read more

This place is amazing! Seriously a must try. It is located on the Main street of Farmingdale which is boasting with other restaurants and the area is coming along nicely with new additions. Tiny is the right name for this place...I think they have 6 tables that seat 4 people and 2 or 3 that seat 2 people. Super small but oh how delicious! I've been here a few times and I've tried the spring rolls, dumpling soup, pad thai among many things. The food is always on point and hot and fresh. I read more

Nice hole in the wall kind of a Thai place... gets really packed during lunch hours, but for obvious reasons. Still, if they could hire some additional help it wouldn't hurt. Drunken noodle = amazing. read more

This is the best Thai restaurant in NY. The boss is extremely kind and enthusiastic, the food is tasty too. I love the food here read more

I have recently discovered my love for Thai food and this is the third Thai restaurant that I have tried. It is by far my favorite and I don't even feel the need to try others, this has become my "go-to". The food here is excellent and I highly recommend the curry puffs, wonton soup and spicy fried rice. It's a nice small place and very laid back atmosphere. read more

If you're ordering takeout from here, make sure you ask what the real prices of the items on the menu are ordering arbecause there are several price discrepancies between the pictures of the menu on yelp. I budgeted only a certain amount of money for my order and I was charged at least $20 dollars more than what was planned. That might not seem like a lot to some people but to me and my family,it's a lot of money. I have to save up for everything including a treat of takeout. My option was leave the food there to rot and go home with nothing or take it. Both options suck. I have no issue with the food, it's just this. When we called about the issue, they told us basically,SOL. Same issue with the place next door of similar food. read more

So tiny Thai is one of my favorite restaurant all time. It's a cute little place on Farmingdale Main Street that has great food for a fair price. I mostly order out from there because there is limited seating however I have dined in a few occasions. My go to dish are the drunken noodles. Buyers be wear. This dish is spicy!!! You can however tell them the level spice that you want 1-5. 5 being the spiciest. Don't do 5 unless your planes for the rest of the night involve being at home. But I usually get a 1 or 2 spicy and it's amazing. If your feeling something not spicy at all the chicken Pad Thai or the chicken noodle are amazing dishes. Highly recommend you check this place out. read more

I've been coming here for years... As far as the food goes it's usually consistent and tastes great! Love the food here (chicken noodle, pad thai, tiny thai fried rice, etc). The dining experience, on the other hand, is a luck of the draw... But recently I had one of the least enjoyable experiences- left feeling frustrated and disappointed. From the moment we walked in we had been rushed; we were a party of 2 that came in at 8pm on a Friday and the restaurant was almost empty (save for a table of 5). Everything from ordering drinks and appetizers was rushed. If we didn't have an answer ready when the waitress came, she subtlety groaned and scurried away to return two minutes later expecting our decisions to be made. Even paying the bill was awkward seeing as it was left on the table as we had just started eating our entrees... The waitress kept coming over to see if we had the bill ready- so after leaving my card she ran it and I asked if I could take the rest of our meal to go (since we were pretty annoyed at this point). She returned with 2 takeout boxes and a bag and said good night. We packed our food quickly and left... I checked my watch as I walked out the door- checking if we kept them there later- watch said 8:47pm and they close at 9... So sticking to take out for a bit! read more

Best Thai food to date. Custom ordered the way you want it. The food is always fresh and amazing. The servings are huge. Chicken pad Thai is outstanding. Love this place! read more

Very extensive menu not much decor. The spring rolls were great and the dumplings very good. All four of us ordered various chicken dishes. Waitress was very nice and helpful. All were very good. Portions were generous. Certainly not gourmet but a inexpensive nice meal. Deserves another half star but that's not an option. read more

Hands down the best Thai Restaurant around. Their Drunken Noodles are extremely good. Ive been going for years. There used to be a cranky old lady who ran the place she was horrible. Theres actually a younger version of her that is away in Thailand right now she can have an attitude and Im glad the current people running it are in charge now. Very sweet and attentive. I used to ask for chopsticks fron the previous owner and she would give me a dumb look and say too busy right now. That no longer happens thank God. If she comes back Im deducting stars lol. All in all a great place if your in the area read more

It's a small place and we had it to ourselves. Good reasonable pricing, fast great service

The food was bland and the service was terrible. My group was the only customers in the restaurant, for some reason she kept saying one minute when we were asking for drinks. Plus when we asked for the bill she already filled the tip portion of the receipt. We only had a party of 5 if there's was a charge for a large party then there should be a notice or something. read more

Food is really nice and tasty. If you go for Lunch then be sure that you reach there by noon time otherwise you will have to wait at least half an hr as the restaurant is really tiny as per name. Menu is limited however it is very good and tasty. I would recommend it to try once and experience. I always go there as it is one of my favorite. read more

Very tasty food, you will not be disappointed. Small place and could get pricy. Recommend call ahead to gauge your wait. Pros - tasty food - good selection - intimate - location. Cons -small -can get above average in price Summary Great place for small parties read more

So happy I found this place! I worked in NYC for years and could not find Thai on Long Island that compared, Until now. I work in Melville and it's now top of my lunch-list. Red curry with chicken is awesome, drunken noodle is as great too. Also recommend the spicy potatoes as an app! And the waitress, Tanya is terrific --always smiling!!! If you are looking for a Thai experience like you find in NYC, this is the place. Also just found out they have another restaurant in Huntington Village (Sri Thai). Same great food and service. read more

This was a last minute lunch decision, my first choice was closed. But what a surprise. My friend said it was good, I thought it was amazing. It's tiny and busy during lunch time. Service was slow, but it was worth the wait. I ordered the pad Thai with chicken. I was asked how spicy I would like it from 1-5. I said 4 and it was perfect. Thai was authentic and portions were generous. My lunch came with two spring rolls and vegetable soup which was delish. I can't wait to go back and now I have a new favorite lunch spot. read more

The food was fine, but the service was terrible. The waitress took her time giving me the check, and then grabbed the credit card receipt before i could leave a tip, and returned and asked why i didn't like her service. She was beyond rude, basically asking for a bigger tip. I've never felt so disrespected, and will not be returning. read more

One of the rudest and unprofessional waitresses (owner?) I have ever seen!!! I really could care less about the quality of the food when service is this bad. Never coming to this place again read more

Was at Tiny Thai today and food was ok. It seems that their is a new chef every week. The service was excellent I have been there for lunch a few times and it wasn't as good. The new server Tayne is great very polite and attentive to all the customers. read more

The name is definitely appropriate... the restaurant is tiny! The servers are always very sweet. The Tom Kha soup is delicious! We usually get pad Thai and spicy fried rice. Both are delicious. The food is definitely better in the restaurant but take out is good too. read more

Food is sub par, staff is really rude and abrasive.

I will probably change my review if I ever go back. Unless I just order my usualy....pad thai. It was slightly better than, but very similar style, to RVC's Simply Thai. Same owners? I wonder. Saucy, dark brown. Problem with this style is you feel like you're getting bursts of melted brown sugar while eating. But it does taste pretty nice. Cute place. I don't remember eating anything else. My experience was in 2006 I believe. read more

I used to go here every weekend. The food is amazing and the plates are funny too. I was eating pork from a plate shaped like a pig, weird huh? The wait staff is super friendly. I recommend the drunken noodles and a thai tea it's the best I've ever had. read more

Went back again yesterday and again Tanya and the food were great. She always has a smile patience and quick service. I love all the dishes one of the few places where you can say spicy and get spicy. Mild and get mild or anything in between. Becoming a regular. read more

The first time we came to Tiny Thai, the place was packed so we went somewhere else. This time we made it a point to go to Tiny Thai a little early. We got to the place at 12pm and only one table was occupied. There were about 10-15 tables (tables for 2 or 4) in the establishment, fitting approximately 30 people. The menu was pretty simple, having two prices, $7.50 for the Specialty Dishes (ex. Drunken noodle, Thai Fried Rice, etc.), and $6.95 for the Lunch Specials (pad thai, pad basil, massaman curry, sweet & sour, etc.) with Chicken, Beef, Pork, Shrimp, or Tofu. Also included with the dish was a soup or salad, and a vegetarian Thai spring roll. There are also different spice levels you can choose, ranging from 1-5. The single bathroom was very roomy, able to fit a wheelchair, and was very clean. It almost felt like I was in a bathroom in someone's house with nicely beige tiled floor, a large portrait mirror, and a fake 4-ft plant sitting in the corner. The decor around the restaurant also very home-like with a couple wooden ceiling fans, nice wallpaper and a few murals/sculptures on the walls. Quaint but very cozy. Service was very good here, being run by one waitress who did it all. She played the role of the hostess (seating everyone), waitress (taking orders and serving food), waterboy (refilling our glasses with water), and busboy (cleaning the tables). She came several times to the table to make sure everything was alright. I ordered the Beef Pad Basil at spice level 3 and the soup special, which was wonton soup. The waitress was very courteous and had mentioned there was pork in the wonton, I'm guessing since some people may have a problem eating pork. I let her know I was alright with it. My 2 other colleagues ordered the sweet & sour chicken and the pad thai, complemented with the salad. After we had made our orders, our soup/salad appetizer came out in about 5 minutes. The wonton soup was very delicious, the broth was very light and subtle but had such a palatable taste. The wontons were very tender and full of flavor. But the most peculiar and interesting part was some type of green leaf vegetable that was included. Definitely a great addition to the traditional wonton soup. My colleagues had ordered the salad which appeared to be your basic lettuce, tomato and choice of dressing. By this time, which was only around 12:15pm, the place was completely full, and people were still trying to come in to be seated. I could tell this place had some great food and the large crowd spoke for it. In about another 8-9 minutes, the Thai Spring Rolls (silver noodles, cabbage, carrot and mushrooms deep fried in an egg roll skin) had come out. The Thai Spring rolls were not very oily, slightly if at all were very delicious. They were complemented with what I believe was a duck sauce with a bit of chili pepper flakes in it. The lunch entree took a bit longer to come out, about 10 minutes. The Beef Pad Basil (sauteed onions, chili peppers, bell peppers, carrots, scallions in basil sauce) with rice was very delicious. The beef was tender, veggies were just the way I like them with a bit of a crunch, not mushy. The basil sauce was not very spicy at all (for level 3) for what I was expecting. For those craving more spice, you may want to ask the waitress if she can crank it up a notch. I also found the basil sauce to be ever-so-slightly on the salty side. The dish was great regardless. My colleagues had also seemed to like their dishes very much also. I would definitely come back here again to try their other dishes. And kudos to the one waitress (I believe her name is Jenny?) who does it all, except the cooking who I believe is performed by 3 chefs in the back. read more

Best Pad Thai around. The staff is very pushy and not the friendliest, but it's soo worth it. I think it's a good take out or lunch place. I wouldn't really enjoy going to dinner there. read more

The food here is excellent, but I hate having to order it on the phone! The woman is so rude, but at least she confirms to make sure you're getting exactly what you want. On a weekday once, I placed an order at 915 and got there a little after 930 and she lashed out that they were trying to close by 930 even though they advertise they're open until 10. I especially like the spicy basil fried rice and the curry puffs! read more
