The owner Quỳnh lies and says she is just an employee but her behavior and lack of customer services makes me think otherwise. This business is dirty and lacks comprehension for customer complaint. I was dissatisfied with a spa service and she tried blaming me for my skin type....seriously??? I wanted her to wax my underarm again and she said I was no longer welcome and refused to take responsibility but instead said my underarm wrinkles are the problem. This was never my first time getting my underarms wax so I know it's possible to get a clean wax even with my wrinkly armpit :) but this was my first and last time at this facility. As an owner you need to be kind to your customers (people in general) and as an employee you need to be kinder and take responsibility. The owner, without even an explanation or any other word other than "no" slammed the door in my mom's face. She didn't even let her walk inside. I almost never write a negative review. But it would be unfair to readers to see my previous reviews which have since changed. I have been going to Tina's every 3-4 weeks for couple of years now. 2 weeks ago, Quine used a new product without asking I was ok with that, new base and top coat. I didn't mind it. 2 days later, the polish would come off completely (see photo). I called and they said they will repaint the nails that fell. And it was done. As soon as I got home, other nails started falling. I called today at 10am and asked for an appt to just get a new mani. I was told there is an opening at 2:30. I told them I want to just get a new mani because I don't want the other polishes to keep coming off. It just looks very unprofessional. At 2:25 I called to let them know I'm running a few minutes late. Quines response: I've been waiting for you for so long. I told her it is 2:25 and my appt is at 2:30. She said no no I can't wait anymore. 2 customers are coming now. Then she started greeting the customer who just walked in. I have never seen such unprofessional rude customer service. This looks even worse when it's towards a loyal customer. Maybe Quine assumed I wanted a free manicure and got upset. Knowing me she should have known that I would pay. I even tried paying when she was "fixing" my nails and she didn't accept the payment and said "she feels bad". I do not recommend this business and will not walk in to their salon anymore. I took time out of my busy life to ensure other customers are not deceived. Their business hours is not listed correctly and they usually are done by 3-4pm. I don not wish for any refund or explanation. They know I'm a very busy woman and I have always been accepting of them changing my appt or having me wait as they finish the job of other customers. They are definitely discriminative as you can read in other reviews. read more

I got my nails done 1 week in a half ago and they all bubbled up I called to ask if they can fix them the lady told me to go in and when I showed them to her with my flashlight because it was dark in there she saw them started saying "no they're perfect I hate when people lie like this nooo people never complain" and that it was rude because I showed her with my flash. In the first place I wanted regular gel and she's like "no bio gel good makes your nail stronger you won't regret it you'll come back" she try's to choose for you. I called to go in last minute at the end of the day on Sunday (Memorial Day Weekend) and without hesitation they gave me an appointment to go in within an hour. I really appreciated it since a few other places that I called were too busy to take me in. As soon as I walked in, one of the workers, Quynh , started working with me. Quynh was such a pleasant lady to work with. Not only she removed my existing horribly done powder nails with care, she did gel nails for me with care as well. She did exactly what I wanted without pushing me to alter my decision. So I don't like to leave unsatisfactory reviews typically and wasn't going to this time - but since the wound is getting worse and I had to call my doctor I thought people should make an informed decision before going here. So I got my nails done by the owner/manager and she didn't do a terrible job (except that she told me she could do the design I wanted and then it turned out she couldn't do it when we got to the design portion, and I left that salon without getting any design. I had to go to another salon to finish my manicure). Before we got to cuticles I let her know that I bleed easily. I asked her if she could be gentle for that reason. She said she would but it also seemed like she brushed it off as well. So of course, I started bleeding. She put the greenish liquid with cotton to help it stop bleeding and left it on for a while. When she went to take it off, she pushed down very hard to the point where I said "Ow!", which is not something I'd ever think I'd do when getting my nails done. When she pushed and pulled back on my skin that hard it was so very painful. When she took off the cotton I looked at what she had done. My cuticle had been pushed under my skin and it looked deformed. My nail bed was no longer a dome shape but half a dome shape and a messed up dent. She completely brushed it off and acted like nothing had gone wrong - I pointed it out to her multiple times. It has been a few days now and the wound has gotten worse. You can see under the skin - it is shiny and there is dried blood. On top, it is inflamed and very red. It is painful to touch. My doctor has prescribed me two medicines for it, but if it continues to get worse I have to get it drained - which means I have to go to urgent care, get the area numbed with a shot and then they poke under the skin (and into the skin) to release the buildup so that it can heal. I sincerely hope it doesn't come to that. I had read the bad reviews before getting this manicure, but decided to give them a chance anyway. Please listen to the negative reviews. The nails done here aren't great and they don't seem to be trained enough to know how to not hurt someone. Really not safe. read more

Queen is such an awesome nail technician. Her establishment is well-kept, clean, and relaxing. Parking is available if you arrive in the a.m. However, it is a hassle Saturday mornings as everyone is making their weekend Starbucks run (which is right next door). I am never disappointed! Queen does a great job removing dead skin from your cuticles not to mention, the Gel polish lasts more than 2.5 weeks. Great place! Reasonable prices as well! read more

I would give 4 stars for the kind and friendly and good service. The 3 star is for the ambience and the hit and miss decor. The place is clean, but has no character at all. It just didn't seem to come together. The place is large for a nail place, and yet it's crowded with unnecessary shelves and table looking items that gives that crowded feel. I just got a mani, and at $15.00 it's not on the cheap end, it matches market rate for a non-fancy place. Plus you get a free mani after ten visits! (They stamp a card. ) Well my lady was nice, I appreciate that she didn't ask too many questions, and she did a good job. I will come back and try the pedicure. Hopefully I can update the review. I found out they opened two months ago. If you're in the vicinity stop by. I am not sure if I will make it my destination for a nail spa. At least not yet. read more

I had a big argument with Tina manicurist today. I took appointment for my mom few weeks ago. So I decided to walk in and confirm the appointment. Tina lady with her broken English started arguing with me that my mom comes to her appointment late every time, she is complaining about the price and she talks to other costumers in armenian. And I am trying to tell her that my mom is never late and maybe she is confusing her with someone else but no she is telling me same staff all over again half of the things that she says I don't even understand And if you go there only for manicur she doesn't like it I always felt discriminated in this business I regret that I always handed good tips I won't recommend this place to anyone They are unprofessional,uneducated people read more

This place is a hidden gem! Located off of Western/Glenoaks behind Starbucks coffee. I went there to get my SNS (dipping powder) nails done. Because the prior place I went to, didn't do a good job at all and made them too thick The young lady, did a fantastic job, she also asked me, if I would like only 2 layers instead 3 to make my nails look nice and natural and slim. They also have "glow in the dark" dipping power. I'll definitely go back. Highly recommended :) read more

They are gentle, detailed and clean.. they have so many colors to choose from for dipping so it's just hard to figure out what I want choices... so many colors. Michelle did my pedi and it's so good. Basic manicure: 2.75 stars Shaping/filing of nails not very even. Nail polish did not make it to the front or side edges of some nails. Pedicure: 3 stars Heel scrub could have been a little longer/thorough (compared to other pedi's I've had), otherwise not bad. Walked-in and didn't have to wait bc I was the only one there. Ambiance is your "typical nail spa." Staff was very nice (My nail tech was Sophia). I'm visiting from out of town and needed a last minute mani/pedi for a wedding. The price is good (mani/pedi combo = $30). Polish selection is just ok. Had OPI and Essie but many colors looked "old." This place is right next to Starbucks so it's nice to be able to grab a drink and head over. They accept credit cards, but there's not an option for gratuity, so bring cash if you plan on tipping. If I was in the area again, I think I'd try another place just to check out other nail places for experience. Fantastic place! I came here for years when the shop was under different ownership, so I was a little weary at first. However, I didn't need to worry. The place has been completely remodeled and is kept spotlessly clean, to an extreme almost. They line the foot rubs with each use which feels a little odd but at least you are sure you're the only one who has touched that tub! Unfortunately my cat has gotten fleas (& thus I'm bitten up as well) but they didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all, but put on a pair of gloves and gave me a fantastic pedicure (this is where all germ-aphobes can rejoice). Now I just have to see how long it'll last before I end up back here again. ;) read more

After coming to this place since 2015, and sticking with them even though they didn't honor the loyalty card, I probably wouldn't be coming back after the owner started acting rude and a little mental. Why I kept coming back here for years: 1. clean - they use disposable liners for their foot tubs 2. they do a good job of cleaning your nails 3. they honor appointment times (based on my experience) 4. right beside a Starbucks (you can grab a drink while you wait and you can use the wifi while getting your nails done) The Cons: 1. right beside a Starbucks (parking is difficult and this place is located in a busy strip mall) 2. not enough staff for the amount of business they get - 4 (half) of their pedicure massage chairs on the far side of the room have not been used in all the times I've gone there because they don't have enough staff to do the pedicures The final straw: The owner, Quynh (pronounced "queen"), is moody/rude/psychotic; after I asked her to redo one of the nails because she put so much polish on that it pooled and created a bump on the tip, she started scolding me about being 5 minutes late to my appointment. I didn't mention to her that she stopped several times during our manicure session to answer the phone, talk to a walk-in customer, and to make a call to another late customer. In the middle of her tirade, she bumped the polish on my thumb which left a streak. When I pointed that out to her, she assured me it was nothing, but I can see the unevenness and the line even after I left. Finally, when I thanked her and gave her the tip, she raised her voice and accused me of calling her "Tina" in front of the whole shop. WHAT??? I didn't call her Tina. I know her name is not Tina, and I've been addressing her by her name the whole hour I was there, not to mention all the years I have been coming to this place. I had to go to another appointment. But as soon as I was able to, I called her shop within an hour and left a message for her to call me back about her outburst. She never called me back. I am left wondering if this woman is mentally unstable. Well, thankfully, my friend said new nail salons have opened up in the area, so I guess I have other options to get my nails done without the attitude. read more

When I got there she told me to just "come back in 30 minutes" 'coz somebody just walked in and she had to take her. What the fuck???? That's not how you do business. When someone makes an appointment, and if someone walks in, you tell the walk in person to just wait or just come back. Now if I was late, then she is allowed to accept a walk in. these lady's were super nice. the one who did my nails was .. a little unorthodox .. she skipped a couple steps in doing my acrylic nails (i get my nails done enough to know step by step) all in all, my nails were nice- but not what i wanted & honestly was too tired from work to stay any longer. & my toes are great, perfect shape & length. read more

Ella is an absolute angel. I have been coming here for a basic pedicure for a while and Ella has done my nails a handful of times and let me just say, I have walked out happier each time! She is so precise and caring of her craft. She truly puts in the best effort and she is so kind and wonderful as well! She is a rare gem. The salon is very clean and very neat and pricing is fair. There is a huge parking lot with lots of spaces available at most times which is a huge plus. Majority of the time I am able to get an appointment for that exact day within a couple of hours which is really nice!
