Came here for the first time yesterday and had a great experience! I got the sacred simplicity and it was exactly what I needed. My masseuse, Barbara, really paid attention to the knots on my shoulders and made sure to address it throughout my back and not just my pain points. I booked two appointments at The Salt Studio: 90 min custom massage, the Replenishing treatment (facial and belly treatment), and halo therapy. The front staff, Sophia, was very kind, communicative, and welcoming. My massage with Caelyn was amazing!!! I had a bunch of areas all over that have been craving some serious TLC. I felt incredibly safe and cared for during my session. She asked about pressure before and during, which I appreciated. Caelyn also remember all the areas that I mentioned, giving them extra focus. I feel so much better and came out of the session feeling relaxed and buzzy! I would highly recommend booking with her. She's so kind and is wonderful. For my Replenishing treatment, I was welcomed by Kathleen. Her warm and outgoing personality really makes you feel seen. We had a nice casual chat before the treatment and I liked how open friendly she is. The lymphatic therapy felt soft and relaxing. Kathleen's facial treatment put me to sleep and I woke up with glowing skin. The belly treatment was lovely, too. I really don't want to share. Salt studio is the best. Better than Burke, better than most spas I've been to in manhattan, BK, Studio city, Palm Springs...you get the point. Do yourself a favor and just book. I've been to Barbara probably 20 times in the last few years and she always delivers a world class massage. Shes known by name in our house lol. "I've got to get a booking with Barbara" has been uttered a bazillion times. She's kind, has the chillest personality, listen and actually tailors her massage to whatever ache, pain, tension is rearing its knot-filled head. I just can't say enough about how incredible my treatment was today with Tessa!! I've never felt so relaxed and refreshed in my entire life, truly!! Not only is Tessa warm and caring, but she also has the most healing touch!! I haven't had a massage in over 2 years so I was long overdue...and after much research I settled on Salt Studio. They are close to home and have such an interesting menu of various treatments - even Reiki options and chakra balancing add-ons! I opted for the 90-minute body salt scrub and massage with hot stone add-on - and usually the stones add-on is an extra $10, but for now they're offering hot stones complimentary to help destress in these crazy times! What an awesome treat! When I arrived, Tessa was already waiting for me and greeted me right away! Since I'm a new client, I filled out a short form and we discussed any health issues or allergies or any areas I'd like to focus on etc, very comprehensive and tailored to my needs/preferences! She led me to the treatment room and I began to relax almost immediately- it was so cozy! A perfect temperature, lighting calm and soothing with salt lamps all around, even the ceiling was painted a lovely blue to mimic the outdoors which was a nice touch! Tessa helped me get comfortable on the treatment table - which felt like a soft temperpedic mattress! They also offer a wide array of aromatherapy choices - I opted for Renew oils! We started with the salt scrub and WOW - it was invigorating and so cleansing! My skin is the softest and smoothest I've ever seen it! I am so impressed with the results! Then onto the massage - wow Tessa was amazing! She's very concerned with your comfort and checks in frequently to make sure the pressure is comfortable etc...it was amazing! And the hot stones - just takes it to a whole other level! I melted into the table and almost fell asleep lol! I walked away feeling probably the best I've ever felt! My treatment was inside, but they also have tables set up outside if you prefer and they had plenty of privacy. The entrance has a small shop with candles and salts, oils and aromatherapy items as well as many other interesting offerings, with a nice seating area while you wait. They have a secluded and clean restroom as well. And there's plenty of parking in the private lot. It's inside a building with other shops and theirs is at the back on the end. The Salt Studio - Salt cave. - Massage Therapy Near Me - Pasadena, California

I came to The Salt Studio for my first time back in 2017. I was looking for something super relaxing to take work stress off of me and give me little bit of an energy boost. I was lucky enough to book a same day appointment for the afternoon for the 90 minute scrub and massage. I checked in with the receptionist and soon after, the massage therapist, Gabby, welcomed me into a private room. I felt very comfortable and relaxed as soon as she started with the scrub first. The salt scrub was about half an hour. There were some parts of my body that felt a little more sensitive versus other parts, but it didn't hurt. Afterwards, she gave me a whole body massage, that put me in a nice short slumber for at least half of the time. After the 90 minutes was over, my skin felt so smooth and I felt refreshed. Just what I needed! The only part that left me a bad impression was the receptionist at the end when I was paying for the service. I asked if I could add 30 tip onto the receipt and she replied in a very condescending tone, "30 dollars or 30 percent? Because that's a HUGE difference." She could've just asked the question without adding that condescending remark at the end. read more

It has dimmed lights, Himalayan salt lamps, and soothing background music. I got a customized massage with David. Prior to the massage, he asked if I had any injuries or problem areas. The massage was therapeutic and relaxing. David also used aromatherapy oil called Peace, the smell was pleasant. He also placed a warm heating pad on my stomach and back which I enjoyed as well. There were a few times the massage hurt but it was because I had knots. David knew the right amount of pressure to apply to smooth it out. After the massage, David showed me some stretch exercises to do at home and he gave me a cup of water. I highly recommend getting a massage from David. When I got home, I fell asleep because my body felt so relaxed. ::Salt Room:: There are different price options for the salt room. I choose the three months option which is unlimited access for $125. Each session is 45 minutes and when the time is up, they come and get you. They also give you a heating pad for your neck and shoulders before you enter the room. The salt room has five chairs inside with blankets and small pillows on each chair. They highly suggest not to bring any electronics so they have books and magazines in the room. The room has Himalayan salt crystals on the floor and walls (not the entire wall). There is also a big Himalayan lamp and hanging Himalayan salt decor on the walls. When my session is done, Leah gives me a glass of water. ::Customer Service:: -Upon arriving Leah was very welcoming! She offered me tea or water. Leah is kind and benevolent. I like her energy and positive attitude. -I could tell David is knowledgeable and passionate about his work because he had the ability to use different massage and healing techniques. David is intuitive, polite, attentive, and professional. -Bianca is also nice, friendly, and cordial. She answers all my questions and is very patient when I schedule multiple appointments. -The entire staff is welcoming and greets you with a smile. ::Highlight:: -Every time I come in Leah and Bianca greets me with a smile and remembers my name (happy face). This is one of the most calming and centering places that I've found here locally...a room that you step into that has a floor covered in pink salt and walls that are similarly covered to the halfway point. You can sit in the salt, but most people prefer to recline in the zero gravity chairs. They will give you a heated neck pillow and all you have to do is breathe deeply and let your worries go. I have also had facials here by both Ally & Kathleen, and they are fantastic! They have lovely energy, skilled but gentle hands and they make me feel so relaxed and renewed! I love the organic skincare products that are used. They are subtly scented and feel wonderful on delicate facial skin and décolletage. There's cold cucumber water available and hot tea that you can make in the front room before or after your salt room experience. Bring CLEAN SOCKS! No bare feet allowed. I WENT INSIDE A SALT CAVE and here's what happened!?! I swam for 4 kilometers/2 miles until I reached shore. It was dark and mysterious inside this massive cave with long twigs hanging from the ceiling. Salt pieces falling down to the ground and debris floating in the wind. I could hear flapping noises from bats I presumed--oh dear, WRONG salt cave. The SALT STUDIO is a friendly environment and before entering the salt cave/adult therapy room one must wear socks as bare feet and shoes are forbidden in the cave. This is a first for me where socks are a requirement. Once inside the walls you immediately feel at peace in this tranquil and quiet space. Friendly vibes. There are lounge chairs to sit in and some people actually prefer to sit in the salt which has a vibrant pink color to it. I'm one of those people who likes to sit in the salt. However, this time I sat in one of the lounge zero gravity chairs that recline back. It accommodates 6-7 people and most cases your surrounded by people unfamiliar to you which isn't an issue. I wanted to make the most of the 45 minute session--I quickly reclined my chair as far as I could with one arm on each side of me and closed my eyes. Basking in a cave made of himlayian salt from ceiling to floor. I like to make sure I breathe deeply (just as you would in yoga), in and out the salt air goes as I inhale and exhale slowly. I'm consciously doing this for a few minutes before I fall asleep. Thankfully no one snored lol that can be annoying sometimes. Nevertheless, salt therapy actually helps with snoring. Therapy sounds like such a scary word but in this case it's a wonderful zen-like spa experience using salt to heal a plethora of health conditions including stress relief, weight loss, and balancing ph (sickness cannot live in alkaline bodies). It even helps build immune system during cold/flu and allergy season. Releasing negative ions soothing sore muscle aches and pains. Some people wake up to coughing which is pretty normal. The salt helps with inflammation which therefore breaks up mucus in the body. I like to drink plenty of water before, during, and after session. You got to admit, the body is pretty amazing. There you have it, alternative medicine using salt. Couldn't have been more serendipitous, cause it's been pretty stressful and I had just injured my knee. Booked my salt scrub and massage with Tessa after see some really amazing reviews. Wow what a wonderful experience! Tessa was so kind and caring, her aura made me feel so relaxed and at peace. She took extra care of my knee that I shared was feeling a little sensitive and made sure to do check ins every so often to make sure the pressure was good for me. Definitely planning on doing this monthly or bi-monthly to treat myself and unwind. Wow. This place was just heavenly! I am 22 weeks pregnant and booked a prenatal massage with Barbara. She is an absolute artist with her fingers. Her massage feels like she is dancing on your back with harmonious finger movements the entire time. I felt SO relaxed and my muscle tension was relieved as well. The massage bed, the sheets they use on you, and even the pregnancy pillow they give you to prop yourself up all feel so luxurious and thick and clean.
