First, I would like to start with the fact that if there were 100,000 stars, I would willingly click on every one of them for Ms. Josie. I scheduled an appointment for myself and my 95 year old father-in-law and we both had an incredible experience. She came into our home and immediately set up everything....Bed, our sheets, music and ambiance in less than 10 minutes. She is extremely professional, kind, considerate, and compassionate. And extremely knowledgeable about the body. She is very communicative and responds very quickly. I had been having shoulder pain for almost a year. Although I have gone to a chiropractor every month it did not correct my pain. My chiropractor shared many times that I needed a good massage and I finally got one. Josie worked on these knots in my shoulders and although I was in healing pain afterwards for three days it was worth it. And I need to readjust my sitting position and not sit hunched over at my computer. My father-in-law received a massage and had immediate relief. However, you can't teach an old dog new tricks and you cannot keep repeating the same thing expecting different results. That is... don't watch tv or read lying down in the bed. The bed is for sleeping. Anyway, needless to say, I realize I need self care. I do not consider this a luxury. I consider this preventive care and have arranged a once a month encounter. Josie is amazing. I've been using her services for over a year now and find myself in better health and in better shape under her care. I struggle with chronic pain and inflammation, and sometimes after a full flare up of my RA, Josie is the only person who can bring me back to baseline. My RA also causes sciatic issues, and I did countless MRIs and X-rays and neurology visits and physical therapy, only to find the best relief from consistent sciatic pain was Josie diligently working on my sciatica. I've visited many other massage centers in the area and they just can't compare to Josie's talent and focused work. I even took my partner for a massage elsewhere once when Josie wasn't available and he was like, "If it's not Josie, I don't want it." Josie is incredibly talented! I love super hard massages and usually find myself asking massage therapists to increase pressure. With my first massage with Josie, I booked a deep tissue massage and boyyyy is she strong! She really got out my tension and for the next massage I lessened the pressure to a Swedish massage, which is not your typical light pressure Swedish you may find elsewhere. Her default pressure is stronger than most and she's very receptive of increasing/decreasing pressure and specific needs. She is able to feel where I have tension, knots, and congestion and uses different massage techniques to release and massage. She is also able to educate me on what's going on with my muscles and why I may there's tension or pain where I have it. I also love that I provide my own sheets because I know they're clean, which helps me feel relaxed. Josie is professional, very easy to chat with, and comfortable to be around - I look forward to seeing her! I've been searching for a good masseuse who I can see on a regular basis and would come to my home. This is extremely convenient with my work schedule as her hours start at 6am and can go until 10pm. She is organized from her quick response, instructions, expectations and set up. She arrives 10 minutes prior to set up which gives you the full time you request. The massage is what you would expect from a healer. She feels for the knots and the tension. Josie uses various massage and stretching techniques based on what my body needs. I require deep tissue and she doesn't just dig into your muscles. She is able to wear down the built up knots. I have had a few massage therapy experience but none of them is comparable to the one provided by Josie. I met Josie last May for my first in-home massage with her and I was so blown away that I wrote a review for her, here, that's more like a book! Anything shorter, could not have conveyed the talent and professionalism that is Josie. I had a 90 minute massage with Josie today that was exceptional so I decided it was time for another review.
