I barely leave reviews, but this was unacceptable. I paid $90 for GelX nails on Friday. By Saturday, 2 nails had fallen off, and by Sunday, another one did. I went to the salon Monday and came back Tuesday for repairs. I explained this had never happened to me before, even though I work with my hands. They only fixed the 3 nails and assured me the rest would hold. Three hours later, another nail fell off. At that point it was obvious the entire application was bad. So disappointed. On more than one occasion. Firstly, when you call them, they are super unprofessional and cut you off mid sentence whilst they tend to others that are at the salon. I've also had them hang up on my call. Secondly, I had my nails done 2 days ago and the whole nail is peeling off on several nails. I called to see if I can go in for a quick fix and they were "busy till Tuesday" and said we will call you back for an appt and still didn't get a call back! Being a business owner means customer service is priority and they do not have that. So not only did I end up paying $50 plus $10 tip for a crappy job but now I have to go pay someone else to fix their mess! Will never return. Super unprofessional. The time prior, mid doing my nails, she stopped to file another technicians nails that was standing over her and asked. Why is she doing this on my time? I get my Russian gel mani done with Nonna and my gel pedi with Sona every 2 weeks and they're always on point. They're great with helping me choose the right color when I'm on the fence or unsure. I've been going to this salon for A year now, The receptionist is SO RUDE, has a nasty attitude, & treats the workers like crap.i don't know what her name is. I came in to do mani pedi (gel). Kim did my hands, & completely butchered my fingers, i was bleeding, & my finger even got swollen it was so painful, & hurt for hours... she kept apologizing saying the filer is new that's why. Not only did she hurt me, she also did a horrible gel job, it wasn't clean. What am i paying $100+ for? Im so dissatisfied. Quality of workmanship is so bad! When i was paying & leaving i told the receptionist that i was very unhappy with Kim's work, & that she hurt me & made my fingers bleed. I had a very unpleasant experience!!! Poor customer service, pedicurist was Rude and a sizest!! I kindly asked her to not clip side of nails because they can cause ingrown nails, she kept trying anyways, she wouldn't let me put my feet in the water and barely wanted to do a foot scrub, nor massage!! I believe you all were racist and extremely insulting, multiple workers kept looking and laughing blatantly in my face. Last time I took my mom there for reg pedicure and gel manicure with strengthening and we explained that my mom had Felix and she want to remove it and do the gel many with strengthening!!!! Because after removing Felix her nails gonna be damaged and she wanted to keep the length! Felt extremely Uncomfortable for the whole process. Only half of staff wearing masks the other half had their mask underneath their nose. They weren't enforcing masks on the clients either since one had it under her nose and the other just took Hers off once she saw the staff had no regard for taking precautions. The women who worked on me did have masks on, however the space is small so we're all breathing the same air. Don't come here if you care about your health and that of others, this establishment is extremely high risk. As far as the mani/pedi.. mani was subpar and pedi was good, pedi was done by the only Asian woman working here who was respectful enough to not only wear her mask but also had a face shield. I think this salon is okay if you get lucky to get paired with one of their better technicians. Went in for a manicure ended up doing dip powder. From the beginning my technician was very adamant on doing gel instead of regular polish, seemed like she was trying to upsell or something, which was kind of annoying. Although this nail salon is lovely inside, the technician needs to be trained on cleanliness and proper sanitation. Using used emery boards (nail filers) and unsterilized/unsealed tools would give clients in the future nail fungus and other harmful diseases among other things. When using a liner and then putting your feet back into the dirty cold tub defeats the purpose of using a liner in the first place. You should never use dirty water to pre-clean clean feet. Cutting nails from the side and pulling it will give clients ingrown nails. Front desk attendant seemed nice, but needs to be more professional. Instead of hanging up on clients like they did, they need to greet clients properly when making appointments, and asking them if there is anything else they can help with. Phone etiquette is very important in the customer service industry. I wanted to really like this shop, but unfortunately I won't be returning. I hope they can take this review as a learning experience and improve in the future, because if the State Board came as a client, they would be fined left and right for many things. read more
