I have to give a huge shoutout to Joyce at V Nails in Glendale -- she is truly my favorite nail technician there. Every time I book with her, my nails come out perfect. The quality, the shaping, the design... she nails it (literally!) every single time. This Halloween set lasted the entire month of October and was still going strong well into November. The durability is insane -- no lifting, no chipping, and the shine stayed beautiful the whole time. I brought in an inspiration picture, and Joyce executed it perfectly. I was so excited when she finished, and I got so many compliments everywhere I went. Joyce has an incredible eye for detail and makes sure everything is clean, sharp, and exactly how you want it. So I've been coming to this nail salon for many years usually I get a gel pedicure from Joyce, who's amazing. But unfortunately, yesterday I just did a walk-in no appointment and got attended by someone else and just to wake up by the throbbing pain of my toenail this morning with the ingrown and I also have an ingrown on my other toe. It's so upsetting that I have to pay over $50 for just a pedicure and to now deal with pain on Mother's Day weekend. I'm very upset and I won't be coming to this place. Also it's upsetting how the price changes every time I'm always paying either $52, $53 and yesterday was 55. Also for damn near a 60 dollar pedicure there was no foot scrub and there was no foot massage. WTH?! It was a sh*t job! And then I asked for a very basic medium square French tip acrylic nails, the nails don't match, they are lumpy, thick and took SO LONG for a basic beginner job! 85 dollars!!! As a nail tech myself I came in here to get pampered but instead I left with no color on my toes and a halfa*s fill. On my refill, she didn't even clean my flooded cuticles. For my pedicure I came in with square nails and she filed them wrong even after telling her several times. This place is horrible. No costumer service at all. It's like take a number and stand in a line at a butcher's shop. Leann did my nails she has attitude issues. She kept on insisting for me to get gel-x and when I refused she flipped! She started yelling in her own language from one side of the room the the other. Then when I told her some nails are longer then the other she got upset with me like she was upset of putting time and fixing it. For them it's just the amount of people in and out to make money the have 0 costumer service. But they charge $2 per card transactions which is a bummer so be prepared to pay cash or the fee. Parking can be hectic on this Starbucks including busy corner on Stocker so plan to allow yourself enough time. But since it is a walking distance from my house I don't mind taking a walk there. I've been debating writing this review but It's time. I had been going there for over 10 years(mom and sister included), until it ended around November of 2023. To begin I had an appointment which was switched around 3 times on the day of. After the third call I told the receptionist that if Joyce is running behind & doesn't have time I would rather be rescheduled to a day where it's not chaotic. They reassured me that after the third time of changing my appointment it would be fine. It's sad how they treat their most loyal customers. I was not happy with my nails & for ONCE I decided to voice it. Of course I was faced with excuses. She was aware of what I wanted & had done it many times. As I mentioned I had been going to Joyce for years and that was NOT her normal work. She was rushing & behind & just wanted to get me out. My nails were so thick that it looked like a lump of polish on my fingers. To the point they were curving. I was so upset with my nails that I walked out. She knew she didn't do a good job because she started making excuses to my sister, who was her next appointment. When I left I received a phone call from Joyce asking me what the issue is.... But she knows the issue because she brought it up to my sister who told her they were too thick. We got no where over the phone. I have text message proof of the discussion of my nails. Later Kenny, the owner texted me asking what he can do to make the situation better. After some consideration I decided to go back & have Kenny attempt to fix them. I went back and Kenny started working on my nails, he drilled off LAYERS of polish. There was powder everywhere from my gel. Kenny did what he could do but they weren't perfect because there's no way to fix it with new gel. When i walked in for Kenny to fix my nails, ALL the employees were staring and whispering to each other. After all that I decided to give them one more chance. I call to schedule my appointment and the receptionist tells me Joyce is refusing to do your nails and proceeded giggling & offering I go to someone else. Who runs the shop there? Nails techs or the owners? Before getting off the phone I told the receptionist that I would like to speak to either Kenny or Evy as soon as possible. lol that never happened. They are an absolute JOKE. I'm someone who had been going to them forever alongside my mom and sister and was treated like that, after my one time of complaining. I don't even want to imagine how they treat new/occasional customers. There is so much I have not voiced about this salon but it's time that everyone knows about my experiences. An older lady there ALWAYS sweeps on you and decides to wipe tables as you're sitting there. Throwing dirt on you & your stuff. I have witnessed employees grabbing used files out of the little trash bags they have hanging on their cart and using it on the next client. They don't even throughly clean their tools before putting it into the baggies. Which is why I purchased personal care boxes. There have been multiple times where Joyce has walked away mid way of doing my nails because she wanted to take a wax or eyebrow walk in. To add on everyone there is ALWAYS talking smack about the customers. Whether they are making fun of their appearance or how they want their nails done. I would even get dirty looks from the workers. They are always loud and rudely talking in their language in front of you. Very obvious they are talking about the customers. Joyce herself has attempted to make fun of individuals to me because of their identity. Other people's choices and their appearance should not be of their concern. That is not somewhere I would ever want to walk into, let alone have my mother go into. I even witnessed a surprise visit from the health inspector. Employees were cited for having the top to acetone, lotion and what not open and were upset about it. That should be a normal practice to dispose of used files and close all bottle caps as you are working. Employees working in the chair next to me think it's appropriate to place their bowl of dirty cuticle water on my chair. Whether my phone is there or not they shove it to fit their bowl. VERY disgusting I see stuff floating in it! Employees sit on empty pedicure chairs while other chairs are occupied by customers and begin eating LOUDLY. Even Sunflower seeds. Not to mention, there has Rarely ever been a time where my appointment time remained as scheduled. Punctuality has always been an issue but I gave Joyce the benefit of doubt and worked around her schedule ALL the time. The receptionist is nice but what's the point when scheduling is off. Needless to say I will NEVER return. read more

The worst experience I've ever had in my life!!! The lady who did my nails should not work in the field, unfortunately I didn't ask her name, otherwise I'd definitely write. She had longer dark hair, whatever. First, she filed my nails until I could see my skin, I was so sensitive and it was painful a lot, there was no product anymore but she continued filing and filing until I pulled my hands, but she didn't understand it is painful she just said oh it's probably hot already‍. It was last Friday and the next day the dipping powder got pilled and as long as it was weekend I couldn't leave my baby to anyone I couldn't go back during the weekend to ask someone else to fix them at least. I don't know if I would go back here. Used to be very professional and relaxed place. Lately every time I come in, the workers are stressed and keep talking loud, almost yelling at each other. It's not calm and relaxing at all. I came in today and they said they have time to do a regular pedi. A lady started working on me then she's like i have another client I have to go someone else will do it. Someone else started working and did a good job. She put my sandals on herself and ruined the nail polish then she is mad at me for wearing that sandal. I told her literally it's the same one I have been wearing every time. Never had this issue. Then she patched the area and she's like okay good. It looked like a bubble I asked her if it will stay like that she got more upset and cleaned it to put a new layer on that one. I got my very first gel X manicure at this salon. I'd give 4 stars for the manicure, but it wasn't perfect and cost $80. But the main reason for 2 stars is that when I went back for them to remove the gel X from my nails, they removed almost all of my actual nail when they filed down the gel X. My nails are almost as thin as paper and bendy (which they have never been before). It actually hurt for a few days, even just doing laundry. I do not recommend this location. read more

I have always been going there for years, but lately I've been getting the worst service. I always get over charged for stuff they don't know what it's for when you ask. I literally got gel manicure on Saturday at 5 pm and it started chipping from Monday and now today is Thursday and it has cracked and chipped more at a point that I have to write this review. (Technician was Lian) I am very disappointed. When I called today to let them know and I said isn't GEL suppose to last at least 2 weeks minimum? the guy tells me it matters how you take care of it I asked if it is okay to chip in 2 days and start cracking in 3-4 days he asked if I can go in for them to take a look, but with their attitude how they handle situations I honestly rather avoid. They are so careless. The front guy has so much attitude that you regret going in. When I complained that one of my nails had very little paint on it and wanted one more layer everyone stared at me like I'm making a crime.
