This is the friendliest nail salon I've ever been to from booking the appointment to when I left. They were able to see me in a pinch and took me right when I got in. They have so many beautiful colors - I know every salon does, but I felt like this one really nailed the quality. I'm always looking for pastels and I feel like most salons they're either still too bright for my taste or they have too much shimmer. Side note; a homeless man came in and asked for money and the owner straight up pulled a little cash out of the register and gave it to him! It was so nice to see they're genuinely good people. Not only that but I was a little short on my cash, I needed an additional $5 and not to mention tip! But they said it's okay just next time bring it. I've never experienced that before and was so touched the next day I brought it back and tipped them I also brought in some cookies because I found my forever nail salon. You've got a lifelong customer here! It's a mom & pop shop in the best way.
Have come here twice and have been taken care of very well. I've only gotten my nails done 2-3 times in my whole life. They were super patient with me I accidentally messed up my fresh nail polish at the store and they fixed it up for me super thankful for that. They even provide some disposable slippers in case you aren't wearing open toe shoes. Would definitely recommend coming here! I've called in to check to see if they had any last minute openings and was able to be accommodated. There's parking in the back. If you can snag the spot that has an orange cone right behind their business, it'll be free parking. Otherwise, you'll pay at the meter. There's also street metered parking in the front of the store that you can finally pay over your phone vs coins only.
Did a walk-in appointment, as my boyfriend plays at the card shop down the street. Nail appointment was pretty standard, although I do appreciate he checked in when filing and buffing my nails to see if it was hurting (especially with the electric file). I did a super lovely lavendar Gel-X mani. My nails turned out gorgeous and I'll definitely be returning on a regular basis!
Came here because my usual salon was closed that day and just needed to get them done before I left LA. I found this place and they squeezed me in same day. First of all, the care and quality of my nails has improved so much since I started coming here, no more ring of fire on my nail beds. I usually ask for unique designs and they always deliver! I leave paying a reasonable price, and beautiful healthy nails every time. I've had this set since October and still going strong!! Parking is usually pretty easy in the area. I would totally recommend this place they are the best and they don't charge unrealistic prices like many salons in the surrounding area! They stole me from my previous salon that I was very loyal to, so you know it's good YES YES YES girl just go!
I got exactly what I asked for! He was gentle and kind when removing my acrylics. I did not feel rushed, and he ensure my nail beds remain undamaged. Five stars!
This is the first time I've ever written a disappointing review for a nail salon and honestly, my standards for a nail salon aren't that high.. I called in on Wednesday afternoon and they told me $25 for gel so I decided to do walk in. I went in and there was no one there except for two ladies working. They attended me immediately. Color selection is endless! The lady who did my nails was really nice, but she did a poor job. My nails have chipped...about 7 nails are chipped! I've never had a chipped with gel, even my coworker did not believe I got a gel manicure. On top of that my thumb was coated to thick and it doesn't look uniform with the rest of my nails. I guess you do get what you pay for. Can't wait to go back to my usual spot.
TL;DR - reliable manicure at a reasonable price all done by friendly owners! I've been shopping around various nail shops in Glendale and have been swayed away by the high cost of many places. I get it, in LA there's definitely a premium on Instagramable spots. But for me at the end of the day, I just need a simple and clean mani/pedi. I saw City Nails had great reviews and it helped that it was walking distance from my apartment. I called earlier in the day for a 5:30pm appointment and they happily fit me in. When I arrived I was greeted and seated right away. This is not why I gave it four stars, but I will note this shop has a small, humble interior. Nothing super fancy! But like I said - a good mani is what I was in the market for, not an Instagram-worthy background. I got a standard gel mani ($30), and I have no complaints about the polish or process. My only critique is that the full gel mani (with gel removal) took a full hour. I was passed between two nail techs and it just seemed to take a while when there was a personnel change plus some redundant cuticle cleaning. When I get a full mani/pedi, I expect an hour, not for ONLY my fingernails. It wasn't bad per se, but in the future I think I will ask them to do a "quick" manicure. Overall, super competitive pricing with what I've seen around Glendale, and the manicure itself was superb. This will definitely be my new spot!
Jeff does his job well !!! I am a recent fan of Jeff and definately keep coming back to his services.
I've been coming at this nail salon for years and every time I get my nails done from them I'm very satisfied. Jeff and Jenny are the best. I'm so in love with my nails!
My favorite spot in Glendale! They are the best with Gel X and also acrylic nails. Huge selection of colors and always shapes my nails amazing. They care about they're clients and super attentive :)
I became a regular here until I moved to Orange County. I cant believe I never wrote them a review. They do great on nails. (See pix). Sometimes I avoid male manicurist because I never had a great experience with them but here, the guy (Sorry forgot your name) did my nails perfectly! The prices are very affordable or just right. They do get busy during the afternoon so better come here when they open. You can also make appointments. Most of their customers are regulars and locals and they do build relationships with them.
I tried this place for the first time since it's walking distance and I was pleased with the prices and the nails that I got done. The color is a little highlighter-ish but that has nothing to do with how the gentleman did. The outcome never really matches the samples lol.

Nice people but miscommunicated the price and I was there for two hours and was rushed at the end. My nails are not smooth and a service was done that I didn't ask for! I told them exactly what I wanted but the lady decided for herself. I'm truly not one to leave reviews like this but I'm extremely upset. read more

I finally found a nail salon right next to my house that knows how to properly do dip powder! Everyone here is very kind & takes their time to make sure you walk out with amazing nails. They have plenty of colors to choose from for dip powder as well as gel & regular polish. read more

I used to love this place, but now I hate it! The first time I got my gel mani/pedi done by Jenni, it was almost perfect and she was so nice. I was very happy with the service, I gave her 20% tip when I usually give only 15% tip first time besides they waited for me for 1 hr. But it was weird that she told me to write tip on a credit card receipt although I gave her tip in cash, but she told me it's only for the record and she won't charge me extra tip. Anyway the second time, the old guy work there screw up my gel mani and it was start coming off only after 2 weeks, but he was nice and patient, so I thought I would give the place another chance. The third time I went there, Jenni did my gel mani/pedi again, but this time, it was so terrible and the gel was coming off only after 2 weeks and after 3rd week, one of the nails were almost completely off. Not only that, I found out that she charged me extra tip and took double tip without my permission. Freaking thief! So I had to go back to that dump to get my money back and it was total waste of time and money! Be careful with your money when you go there, but you shouldn't go there unless you want to get ripped off or get a terrible nail service! read more

This is the only place I ever go to for my nails, I've been a loyal customer for a year now and they've always made sure I was happy with what I got. The place is small but sanitary and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. A lot of places I've been to have ever-changing prices but this place has never charged me more than my usual, other than the price raise for SNS. Jeff is incredible with acrylics and SNS while Jenny does a magnificent job on gel and pedicures. Thank you guys so much for the awesome service! read more

This is absolutely the worst pedicure I've ever gotten. Let me start with I haven't gotten my toes done in about a month, so they needed some help. She barley touched my cuticles. Like BARLEY, (same with my mani I had to ask them to go back in). Then with the pumice stone to scrub the bottoms of your feet, she put lotion on it, not soap (I know because she massaged my legs with the same product) and didn't scrub at all more of a soft wipe on the bottom of my feet. Massage was terrible, she like patted my legs with no pressure. But this is really my issue.... my cuticles are painted. And the corners of my toes are bare. This is BULLSHIT. read more

Truly Talented! I've been going to City Nails for many years and they are the best! Very reasonably priced and truly talented! I recently used them for my wedding and they really outdid themselves! I brought in a picture in hopes that they would be able to make the design similar to what I wanted, but they went above and beyond to give me not only what I wanted but even better than what I asked for!! So if you want a creative spin on a design you've been looking for at a reasonable cost, then I highly recommend City Nails!! read more
