I've been a regular of Jenny for about 2 years now. I was introduced to this place by someone who is a regular of Tina. I was reluctant because changing nail salons can be positive or negative. I am so thankful I decided to make an appointment. I first saw Vanessa, she was highly recommended. Jenny was doing a manicure on the woman next to me. I watched Jenny and noticed, she took her time with shaping, cleaning and cutting the woman's cuticles. I knew instantly l wanted to see Jenny on a regular basis. Someone who does great work, takes their time. Everything is perfect, shape, the cuticles are very clean and the nail polish is painted on evenly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. This place has no customer service! I walked in to get my nails done about a month ago without an appointment but I was not greeted well. They were not even busy as one nail technician was sleeping on the couch. For the price they charge (on the high end) and the unpleasant customer service I received they don't deserve my hard earned dollars. The nail job was ok but not WOW! After my initial disappointment with my first set of gel nails, I went back to the nail salon to get them fixed. After showing them my nails, they apologized and took their time with me for the redo. She said that depending on the gel nail colors and the brand, they don't always set the same way and that's what could've happened with my nails. I went with a color from the recommended Presto Brand (she said they have a better chance of lasting longer, along with the OPI brand), and am very happy with it! I had a difficult time choosing the color but I think this is a great, summery choice and I'm glad getting my nails fixed was an easy process overall. Thank you Eighty Nine salon! I wish I would've gotten the woman's name that did mine & my boyfriends (it was his first time, ever) pedicures! Anyway, to the woman with the brown hair, YOU WERE AMAZING!! She has such soft & gentle hands. Also didn't hurt when she was cleaning under the toe. Which is something I've had trouble with at other nail salons in the past. Here, my gel nails last (I'm not joking).. a minimum of 3 weeks in PERFECT condition and pricing is definitely comparable to other salons. Now, I am quite careful with my care following my appointment (wear gloves when washing dishes/cleaning, don't pick at your fingernails, take biotin and/or collagen), but I have always maintained the same type of care and all other gel experiences will last a maximum of 2 weeks. I am OBSESSED with my nails!! I made an appointment at 8pm for a gelx mani and regular pedi, and Vanessa and Tina went out of their way to stay late at the salon to do it. They turned out AMAZING. I have finally found the nail tech of my dreams. Vanessa is the friendliest, most approachable and accommodating nail tech I have ever had and I've had many!! I absolutely love my nails. The atmosphere was light and comfortable and everything looked new. She carries a great gel line with some gorgeous true to color swatches but also offers all OPI brand polishes for those who prefer regular polish. Overall, not the best experience. The only reason I put any stars is Bc Vanessa did my nails and she is incredible!! I'd give her 10 stars. If you can deal with the rest of the nonsense, she is really a talented manicurist. Unfortunately , I can't say the same about the lady who did my pedicure. I think her name was Tina. I have a sprained ankle so I asked her not to touch my foot or ankle, including no foot pumice and no massage. This is literally less work for her. But when she was drying my feet, she took the tops of the feet and pushed them down to overstretch my ankles. OUCH! I was in so much pain! The part that made the experience worse was that she did a pretty bad job on the actual pedicure too. Nail polish was left on the skin. She applied the coat too thick so polish accumulated at the base of the cuticle. I told her this and she said it looks fine. It looks like I painted it with my non-dominant hand. read more

I really wanted to like this place because the people are super friendly and have great hospitality. The photos on here and Instagram are the quality I was looking for but not what I got. My cuticles were very overgrown and dry so I made sure to ask that they be trimmed however I didn't understand that they would be trimmed After putting the acrylic. This never works out for me because my nails grow abnormally fast so I need the acrylic to be as close as humanly possible and as you can see from the photos (2 days old) it looks like nearly a week has passed as well as still having old cuticle left. The shape and thickness on each nail is different and she filed the sides again after painting them so it looks unfinished. I'm unhappy with the price I paid, I expected better. Not to mention I wanted butterfly decal stickers on 4 fingers and it was going to be another $15 read more

if i could give this place 0 stars i would. I made the appointment for gel X with Vanessa. She fixed my nails and added a design on them. The pedicure was with anyone in the salon, when i walked in the guy at the front desk asked the lady in the front to do my toes and she immediately shook her head no. After that i got my nails done which i was happy with but my middle finger nail popped off not even 7 days later. I called them to get it redone and they're telling me that they're going to charge me $15 to get it redone along with the design that they can only guarantee a nail break within 3 days of me getting my nails done. Then they started blaming me for being negligent with my nails and the way i've been "taking care of them." Vanessa's brother was arguing with me over the phone when i asked him not to. Then i heard Vanessa tell him in the back to tell me that "they have another customer on the line and that he should hang up on me." Honestly there was a reason why i stopped going here in the first place and out of desperation i went back to get my nails done for the Holidays. Please do yourselves a favor and don't go here as their customer service is HORRIBLE. While i was there getting my nails done Vanessa couldn't stop arguing with her boyfriend who had taken over the front desk while her brother was off. Super unprofessional and rude from their end, only there to make money. I wasted $150 for nothing and now they want to overcharge me for ONE NAIL to fix. Literally the nail popped off as i was pulling off my pants and her brother had the audacity to tell me that nails wouldn't come off like that... LOVE LOVE LOVE my nails! Lina did a FANTASTIC job today. The best I have ever seen with a gel manicure. I didn't catch the lady who did my pedicure but she also did a great job. Lina took her time with detail to make sure the gel polish wasn't too thick and she went all the way down to the cuticle with the polish. Honestly beautiful work!!! This was my first time at this salon, although I haven't really kept up with nail salon prices, I think I paid a lot for something so simple. I paid $70 for a gel manicure, regular pedicure and callous remover (which my pedicure lady did mention is was $10 extra) I just made an appointment without asking prices and they did book me the next day at my convenience, which I really do appreciate. But I do think i was over charged for that :( read more

I came to this nail salon because it had so many stars and was so disappointed. I had to provide an honest yelp review so nobody else falls for it. First of all, the place is filthy. You can tell they don't do a fair cleanup, the chairs and tables are old and worn out, the workers don't want to work, I asked for a callous removal on my feet and their feedback was "it won't help"... and they talk to each other without even acknowledging the customer... I hate giving out bad reviews but it's not fair to be so expensive for such a place. I only got a full set gel mani and a pedicure and it was $120! So crazy!! I was able to walk in on a Monday afternoon and be seen rather quickly because it was a national holiday, but I think call-ahead appointments are more standard here. I really wanted to come here because of a design I saw on one of the pictures here on Yelp! It was like abstract line art and I thought it was super cool so I showed Vanessa the picture and asked if she could recreate it, but turns out it was a sticker that another client had brought in :( Vanessa was down to try her hand at it though, and I think it turned out great!
