I called to book an appointment and simply asked if they could schedule me with someone experienced in French manicures because I previously had a very poor facial experience there and wanted to avoid another disappointing service. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the receptionist told me to "take it down a notch" -- her exact words. I explained that I was only being specific because good customer service and quality work are important to me as a paying client. Rather than resolving the issue respectfully, she responded by saying, "I will not be booking your appointment, you can go to a different salon." This experience showed not only poor customer service, but also poor business management. Even if a customer sounds frustrated, there is still a professional way to communicate. I've been coming here every three weeks and consistently tip $15-$20, so it's disappointing to be treated this way over a simple request. I booked an appointment at this salon for last Saturday and even adjusted my schedule to come in earlier for them. My appointment was at 1 PM and I arrived 10 minutes early, only to be told at 1 PM that my nail tech still wasn't ready. I ended up waiting 30 extra minutes, which was honestly frustrating because when clients are expected to show up on time and confirm appointments, the same courtesy should be given in return. The nail tech herself was professional and my nails looked nice at first, although they were much longer than I wanted. I got Gel X mainly to help grow my natural nails back out. Unfortunately, the process was extremely painful on my cuticles. Whatever was being done left my fingers sore for an entire week to the point where washing my hands hurt. The overall experience was also uncomfortable because another customer sitting next to me was visibly upset with her service and arguing with the tech next to her. It made the environment stressful and hard to relax or enjoy the appointment. The most disappointing part is that it hasn't even been two weeks and FIVE of my nails have already popped off. For a $120 service, that's unacceptable. I really wanted my second experience here to be better, but sadly it wasn't. I have never had nails done so perfectly in my 15 years of getting my nails done regularly. Iren did my Russian hard gel manicure and Gayane did my smart gel pedicure. I wanted to do something simple because I was on my way to Paris later that day. They did everything in a timely manner knowing I needed to get out by a certain time. Top notch service for a spa! The interior decor on point and their bathroom is now my dream bathroom design. Seriously, this is one of the best aesthetically designed beauty spas I've ever been too. Customer service was also great. I came with my best friend and we both opted for a Thai massage. Since it's only one masseur, we had to take turns. I didn't mind and while I was waiting, I was offered coffee and chocolate. They use a commercial grade coffee machine for their coffees, it's not like a nespresso or instant coffee so they really do value customer service and quality. When it was my turn, I was really glad to see that the masseur was a Thai lady! Only makes it much more traditional. My only feedback would be I wish she applied more pressure but also that's my fault as well for not speaking up. The massage was advertised as 60 mins but it only went on for 40-45 mins. I'm honestly really disappointed with my experience here. What was supposed to be a 2 to 2.5 hour appointment ended up taking 4 hours. I didn't originally book a Gel-X removal, but added it the day of and was told it would only add about 30 minutes. When I called ahead, I was also told technicians are typically given around 2 hours for a full set. I understand things can run a little over, but an extra 1.5 hours is excessive and not something I've experienced before. Because of how long everything was taking, I wasn't even able to get the design I originally wanted. The technician kept redoing a French tip multiple times, and seeing how long it was taking, I chose not to continue with the design and had to settle. After already sitting there for 4 hours, I didn't feel like I had much of a choice. For the price I paid, the quality unfortunately did not match. I waited to see how they would hold up, and within 6 days one nail has completely broken off. The cuticle work and shaping are also not clean or polished. I know I could have said something in the moment, but after such a long appointment, it didn't feel realistic to start over and spend several more hours there. I even had to cancel an event because the appointment ran so long. I also want to mention that I've noticed the owner's responses to negative reviews come across as passive aggressive, which feels unprofessional. I completely understand wanting to defend your business, but customer experiences should be acknowledged respectfully. I've never paid that much for a pedicure before and I wouldn't say the pedicure was show stopping or anything. It was pretty average which was a little disappointing for the price point. Honestly, the Russian pedicure is just like any other basic pedicure that I've gotten, the only difference is they use a drill to do the callus removal which in my opinion is not worth $100. The girl at the front desk asked if I wanted Russian, rubber base or hard gel. I didn't know there are MANY gel mani options. I just wanted a plain gel manicure! And I thought that "hard gel" meant that and mistakenly said "hard gel"...gel is hard...so I thought that was it. Imagine my shock when I checked out and the price was $20 more than expected. And I was so miserable waiting for the mani to be over. It took FOREVER. And that's why...no wonder. I don't understand what confused the front desk girl when I said I wanted a simple gel mani. Overwhelming me with too many options cost me greatly, but now I shall never return. It's my fault, I should have asked to see the menu again in paper and asked what the differences are. Usually it's seen as rude so I didn't ask, but now I paid the price and regret it. My mani came out ok, but not $100 ok. I will never ever return. Don't make my mistake. I was really looking forward to a new experience..... Sadly I was pretty disappointed. The place is absolutely gorgeous for a nail salon, love the color palette. The receptionist was very friendly and kind and let me know that my nail tech would be with me shortly. Thirty minutes later they said they would start my pedicure first, great I thought. Then I realized that the nail tech doing my pedicure was not who I requested while scheduling on line. As lovely as it looks the seats are comfortable, but it's not comfortable when you're actually getting a pedicure. Even when my feet actually went in the water the back of the bowl was hitting the back of my calves. It's really awkward. Finally the young lady I requested started on my manicure. She's really lovely, and did her best. I have really dry cuticles and lots of skin so I'm aware they aren't easy to work with. But in all the years of getting manicures and pedicures NO ONE has ever did it dry. No softening of my cuticles, no pre soak, just dry pushing w/ a wooden stick and lots of electric filing to remove most of the cuticles then cutting them. Also the girl that did my pedicure was constantly on her phone. Yes I'm very well aware that it's bad for them to soak in water, due to your nail absorption. But oil or something would have really felt a lot nicer rather than cutting them while they were dry. As far as a massage on either of my hands or feet Neither happened. Which is disappointing ! Both feet and hands looked great, but were still dry and dying for some moisture. And alas, upon leaving I noticed that there were so many bubbles on my finger nails. I normally go to San Diego to get my Russian manicure with hard gel done because there's a place there at does an amazing job and my nails will last for 6 weeks. I get a new set after 6 weeks because the grow out is too much at the point but the quality is still impeccable at the 6 week mark. This place replicates ANY design I have ever given them. Then All Six opened close to home. I was extremely excited to have a Russian manicure place that did hard gel just a 10 minute drive from home. It's a very cute location, the tea and coffee is a nice touch. I have gone to All Six twice. The first time I got a regular gel mani. Two days later one of the nails had the gel polish peel off. I wasn't able to go get it fixed because I was in Palm Springs. When I finally had time to go I decided to go with my usual hard fell. It took 3 hours to get hard gel done. Two hours for the hard gel and one hour for design on 4 nails. I asked for a flower design, the girl looked at the picture and called more girls over. They all looked and started talking about it but I couldn't understand since they were speaking another language. One of the girls took a picture of it and she started to practice the design on a set of fake nails while another girl got started on my hard gel. She showed me the finished product that she planed to do on my nails and it looked like a 5 yr old painted it. I told her it was cute and let's do it. Internally I was panicking because it was not cute but how do you tell someone that worked on something that their work was not cute. So the two hours it took the nail tech to do my hard gel I talked myself into finally telling her that I changed my mind and wanted to go with something more simple as she finished the hard gel. So we never got started on the flowers. In the pics you can see what I asked for and what I got. I kept my nails all neutral, the color of the hard gel instead of adding the blue polish because of how long it was already taking, we were two hours in already before she got started on design. At one point she painted my nail blue straight down the middle. I told her to just do a diagonal line from one corner of my nail bed across the nail to the top of my nail. She could not. I asked at another point if I could have the brush and show her where the line should be, I did the line and asked her to just paint the bottom half and pointed to it, and asked her to just smooth out the line I did. She painted the top half. I asked again to do the bottom half not the top half. She tried and tried, she would paint and take off multiple times at her own discretion. At this point I could tell that she would not be able to just draw a diagonal line so I let it be. When she eventually asked me if I was okay with the blue I said "yes thank you" even tho I wasn't and she moved onto the foil. She put it all over the nail. I told her that I wanted it like in the sample picture, just along the line of polish. She took it off and again put it all over. I again asked for just a small line of foil.... Still did not deliver. I gave up. I was hungry, we had hit the 3 hour mark I wanted to go home. A few days later, the hard gel was already lifting from one of my fingers. I don't know if the tech who did my nails was new but if she was, maybe they should let customers know that the tech is new so they might take longer, struggle with nail art, or quality might not be as good. I walked out of there disappointed in my nails and paid $160 for them, most I've ever paid for nails. I'm 36, I've been getting my nails done religiously since I was 15, this is the first time that I walk out of a salon disappointed with the finished product. I recently visited this salon for a Russian gel manicure. We found the salon super last minute as my friends and I all needed a manicure. We saw the salon had good reviews and decided to book. While the salon itself is beautiful and very clean, my overall experience was disappointing due to the inexperience of the nail tech who worked on me. From the start, there were issues. When removing my old polish, she over-filed and created a visible hole in one of my nails. She tried to claim the damage was already there, but it was clearly the result of her over-filing. When they attempted to fix it, the process didn't feel professional compared to what I've experienced at my usual salon, the tech used her finger to apply the polygel instead of a brush, which felt unsanitary. Throughout the appointment, she seemed distracted, constantly turning her head to watch what the other techs were doing instead of focusing on my nails. I had to remind her to properly clean the dust off before applying polish, and the shaping was uneven. She kept applying excessive alcohol so many times in her attempt to clean my nails. She also ended up cutting me on my pinky. Some of nails ended up with debris underneath the polish and the hard gel is not properly applied making my nails look lumpy from different fingers on both hands. After more than 1.5 hours, I spoke with the lady at reception as she clearly knew I was dissatisfied so she acknowledged my nails needed to be fixed and so she asked for a second tech to step in to try to fix the mistakes. Even after that second attempt, my nails were still misshapen and had debris underneath and were so thin from tips. The receptionist was very kind and offered a discount, and even offered to work on them again but by that point, we had hit the 2 hour mark and I was over it. I just needed to leave. Considering the price and time spent, I left disappointed and now need to have my nails fixed elsewhere. My friends who came with me also experienced similar issues with inexperienced nail techs and ended up with misshapen nails and bad polish application. The picture of my friends nails shows more than just the typical top view the view the salon posts. I'd strongly recommend that the salon provide additional training to their staff for this type of manicure. read more
