Today, 8/3/24, I had the worst experience at this establishment. The moral less, evil spirited nail tech who did my nails today was defensive, rude, and most importantly WRONG. I went in for a filling and the nail tech, did the filling. During the filling, there were points where my OG nail and acrylic weren't fully merged and adhered together. Towards the end of my session the evil nail tech suggested that I should have gotten a new full set instead of a fill. I then tell her, as the nail tech, I would have appreciated it more if she suggested this at the start of my session. I let her know that her opinion and expertise would have been considered and most likely taken. I let her know that she's the expert and her opinion in terms of my nails would have been valued. She then asked me " are you that easy", I told her she should've tried... shot her shot if you will. Next, I explained that she willingly did a bad/mediocre job, which is virtually a waste of everyones time. Why do work that you KNOW wont last? This nail tech was furious at my questions and calm nature, it then completed my nails angrily and proceeded to TALK AND LAUGH about my in my face.. speaking in her language. This was a VERY and EXTREMELY uncomfortable setting for me. When she was finished with her poor work and terrible attitude, she proceeded to tell me that the price was $50.00 I asked if they took American express, she YELLED at me she didnt know and that she would find out.. I looked for the merchant logo on the door and instantly found the answer to my question. Yes, they did take AE..she insisted that should wouldn't have known that... When handed my receipt I noticed I was charged $56.00... my instant thought was, not a $6.00 credit card fee... turns out, there was a $1.00 CC fee.. sis tried to TIP her self.... I've never felt so disrespected in my life. She proceeded to say something else rude in her language after that... This nail tech and any others like her will be dealt with spiritually. That negative energy will overcome her and be her downfall. I rebuke all of her ignorant, defensive, and evil spirited words and actions towards my delight being. I may or may not return... but if I do, I will make sure to pray for a good nail experience!!! I was in the area and needed a waxing service. Within 5 minutes of my phone call and arriving at this salon, they were ready to see me! First and foremost, this place abides by all the COVID guidelines. My temperature was taken, I sanitized and had a mask on. They have you sign a form documenting your temperature and the services they offered you during your visit. I respect that they incorporated this into their reopening because it allows you, as the consumer, to accept the risk of coming out of quarantine! I was met by Tiffany and she did such a graceful job! She took her time and literally went above and beyond in making sure I was spotless. I really appreciate it when the service is literally worth what you are paying for. Although this spa is a bit far from my home, I will definitely be back! I called this salon highly recommended by my hair stylist and they did not disappoint. Their selection of colors is extensive and covers the walls. I was able to get in with a last minute appointment for later in the afternoon and Phoebe was my nail technician. It was my first time trying dip powder nails and I loved it! Also though there are more steps then gel, they look more natural, they're lighter and stronger than gel. Phoebe was patient with all my questions and did a a beautiful job! Absolutely a fantastic salon. I have been going here for a little over 3 years and definitely plan to keep going here as often as I can. I have been typically getting dip powder but have switched over to Gel X and hard gel as the look is really nice. I am pretty hard on my hands so I do tend to chip or break a nail but if I need something fixed, they are kind enough to get me in and quickly fix it. All the techs do amazing work and they truly care for their clients. My go to techs are Nikki and Phoebe (apologies if this is the wrong spellings of their names.) They know their techniques and since I've been going so long they know me by name and my preference on nail style. read more

Fantastic job! My cousin and I were looking for a place on New Year's Eve to do our nails last minute. Everywhere we called they were either closed or booked. But finally we called Gallery Nails and they were kind enough to take us in. The place is very welcoming. The workers were all friendly and nice. They sat us right away, no wait time which is weird for a nail salon. I usually wait at least 10 minutes before I start my nails. I picked out a color and I went for a nice bold red. The guy doing my manicure was very fast and very detailed. He did my manicure in 30 minutes. My cousin did her toes and hers also took around the same time. Worst experience I've ever had at this nail salon. I went here this morning with my sister and my mom and we have been going here for years. When we came in for our scheduled appointment at 11:30, nobody greeted us and we waited for 20 minutes before they started our nails. The lady who was doing my mom's nails was so rough with the nail file that my mom's skin was getting cut. When my mom reacted to the pain, the lady flipped out and said she would not continue to do my mom's nails and switched to my sister. The woman who did my mom's nails took a long time but her nails still ended up looking bumpy, and way too thick with no attention to cleaning up the edges of the polish on her cuticles (see pictures attached). Later on, my mom called back the salon to see if they could redo her nails later this week. The man on the phone was so rude he said that my mom rushed them and that's why they turned out that way. He got so angry and screamed at her saying "fuck you!!!" What kind of establishment is this treating customers like this?? Stay away! read more

If you are looking for a salon that does not sanitize their tools, that is filthy, customer service is rude, charges to use a credit card, and gel manicure chips after two days, this salon is for you. Although they are local and less expensive than most salons. I've been here three times for gel manicure and pedicure. Each time I noticed they were using the same tools used on the previous customer and had to ask them to use sanitized tools. I still question whether they were actually sanitized. My experience is that sanitized tools are kept in sealed packaging or container. Theirs are not. When asked if they sanitize their tools the nail tech would not answer me, though she spoke English. On each occasions within two days my gel manicure started chipping. To their credit, the first time they asked me to come in so they can redo them, although they were not happy about it. And they charged me $15. My last visit, I scheduled an appointment 5 days in advance as I was leaving for a trip the day following my appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told I was not scheduled. When I told them who I spoke to when I made the appt, Henry insisted I did not make an appointment since it was not scheduled. I asked if they could squeeze me in to the schedule that day but Henry told me they were booked. When I explained my situation, he said it was not his problem, though it was their mistake. The rudest customer service. Obviously they have lost my business. read more

So, I used to live in Santa Monica and I had a nice salon there, but then in 2015, my regular manicurist moved AND I moved clear across the city - to Burbank. So I looked up local salons and decided to try Gallery Nails. I liked the different manicurists I had on various occasions, and then Henry started doing my nails, and now I basically don't want anyone but Henry to ever do my nails again. Every once in a while he's been unavailable in a pinch and he's recommended another manicurist and they've been REALLY good, though nobody quite compares to him. A year ago, he recommended Dip Powder to help me achieve the natural length I wanted, and it's been perfect ever since. Also a year ago, I moved to Encino. Yet I still drive to Burbank every 2-3 weeks to get my nails done by Henry. He's amazing. read more

Absolutely terrible. Short version is that I was being charged more for no reason and asked everyone I know that goes to him (Tom) and they told me that they are charged less for the exact same service, nail shape, and color. I was disrespected and given a lot of attitude for simply asking why I was being charged more. The place is also always dirty and you always have to wait for someone to even acknowledge you and start on your nails. Long version is that I had been going here for a while and would always get a hard gel fill manicure. I was always charged $55 or $56 (which is their price for a fill but it was more for a full set which I wouldn't get). Then without there being any sort of price increase they started charging me $60. This is completely fine I genuinely could not care any less about those 5 dollars but everyone else I knew that would go here and get the same service done with the same person (Tom) would get charged $56. So why was I the only one getting charged more for no reason? One time I went and was charged $60 which was weird and I asked why and he said that it was because he "shaped my nails" and "my nails are long". I let it go and paid, tipped, said thank you and left. But as if you're going to get your nails done with them being shaped or filed down. And my nails are not long AT ALL. I mean at all they are my natural nails and I always keep them short and slightly almond shaped. I told people I knew that went there and they said that it was weird since they do the same service with Tom and are charged $56. When I called after this to make my next appointment I asked how much for a hard gel fill manicure and was told $56. So the next time I went I asked Tom to clarify that it would be $56 and he said that with him it's more. This makes no sense whatsoever. If you don't disclose that to your customers you can't just charge more. If I hadn't asked I wouldn't have known how much he planned on charging me. This was also an obvious lie because he charges others less. After I asked him this he was giving me a lot of attitude and being VERY rude. He said that if you want someone else to do it book your appointments with someone else and then proceeded to say "If you care that much about $4". After this I said that I didn't want him to do my nails anymore after being treated like this. And I know he was saying things about me to his coworkers while I was still there. What kind of way is that to speak to a customer. Once again I do not care about the money it's the fact that I knew I was the only one out of everyone I know that goes to him for the same service that was being charged more for no reason. He kept making up random reasons as to why I was being charged more and was speaking very rudely to me. Not only this, every time I would go I had to wait for a long time for them to start on my nails. I was running errands in Burbank and stopped by Gallery Nails for a mani pedi, I figured 4 yelp stars, I'll give it a try! The water for soaking feet/hands was COLD!? Pushing my cuticles back hurt (between short soak time and cold water they didn't go back easily). It was odd, she kept trimming and filing, telling me to put my feet in and out of cold water, then she took this sand paper block and sanded the tops of my toes, not just the nail, the entire toe, vigorously? OUCH. The finger lady wasn't gentile either, I was cringing the whole time. I had a paper cut near the tip of my finger that she tried to trim!? At the end she rubbed my hand and arm, I thought, yay, the painful part is over, this feels good. But that lasted about 30 seconds. The chairs (which looked cool) did't work well, barely feel it rolling and although they did line the foot soak tub with plastic it was not clean all around it. The setting was not warm or pretty and the staff didn't seem friendly. Lastly as soon as the lady finished painting my toes she immediately put my flip flops back on and sent me out with toilet paper stuffed between my toes and wet polish, needless to say my big toe is all messed up. When I take time out of my busy day to get a mani pedi, I want to relax, feel pampered, have warm water that smells nice, a clean friendly setting and my nails to look nice. This place is literally the best place in Burbank to get your nails done. They have so many different good branded nail polishes, and a lot of different gel colors. They also have the SNS dipping powder. I haven't tried it but, I've seen it and they have a lot colors for those as well. All the employees are really considerate and take the time to make sure your nails are exactly the way you like. They're all very talented nail artists, and remember their customers.
