I went here to get my gel removed, I called ahead, they had availability and said it would be $10 to get them removed, which was perfect so I went! I went in and the nice technician started removing my gel, at the end of removing my gel she asked 'do you want me to cut your cuticles for you?' And I said 'if you don't mind that would be appreciated!' She cut my cuticles and I went to wash my hands and was ready to pay. However when I went to pay, the receptionist told me it would be $45, I asked to confirm the price because all I got was my gel removed and she told me because I agreed to having my cuticles cut, it was now considered a manicure and 'she did the service so I need to pay it.' To which I asked for clarification because she did not paint my nails, do a clear coat, soak my nails, or any of the other services that come with a manicure. She said I could get a polish if I wanted to and I considered it but then I asked again is there no way to pay a little more than the gel removal fee because yes she did cut my cuticles but it feels unfair that since they did not communicate that uncharge to me that I would be expected to pay for a service I simply did not get. She said I should have asked for the prices when she offered to cut my cuticles and I said that doesn't feel fair because I've gotten gel removed before where they just cut my cuticles without asking so why would I have assumed it would be a $35 add on to my $10 service. The receptionist then told me to leave and she would rather me not pay than argue with her. I explained I was not arguing and I do want to pay, $45 for a service I did not receive feels unfair but I would not be leaving without paying. I took a $20 out of my wallet and put it on the technicians table and left. I paid double what I would have paid for the service alone, I will not let someone think I'm trying to not pay service workers, she deserves to be paid, however, I am not okay with trying to be scammed out of $35 for a up-charge that was not communicated properly. I do not recommend this shady behavior in an establishment, sorry for the miscommunication but this could have been handled so much better than it was. read more

I went here almost two weeks ago. It was very last minute and I made my appointment through Yelp - thank you, Meg! I loved the service I got. I did a hard gel mani (with Diana) and a regular pedicure. My only issue is it has started lifting and not at the full two weeks, which I read online has to do with square nails, so I'll maybe have to do a more rounded nail style. But I've gotten so many compliments! I'll be back to get another hard gel mani this week. Also, they are incredibly busy esp on a Saturday. read more

I've been coming here since the place opened and i just recently just had a bad experience, for the past 3 days i've been trying to book an appointment with my nail tech and was told to call the day after to book an appointment with the nail tech i requested and usually they are able to squeeze me in , since i am a returning costumer but this time i was told to give a call the next day just for the receptionist to tell me that my nail tech is over booked and just returned from her vacation , and insisted that i had to call weeks in advance and schedule an appointment with her, when ive been coming to this nail tech for the past 3 years and never had a problem like this occur, so basically i was told to call the next day for no reason just for the receptionist to tell me to come monday or tuesday during my work hours when i had already told them im working those days repeatedly, they tried to give me an appointment with another nail tech that i wasn't familiar with just like this last time which led me to have 3 nails broken already within the next week, it's just very unprofessional for the staff to like this with a costumer who's has been returning and when i have been coming here for the past few years and something like this happens to me when ive been recommending this place to my friends and family. read more

I honestly had a really disappointing experience here. I paid $95 for my nails, and the owner did them. Less than a week later, the nails started lifting and separating from my natural nails. I've been getting my nails done for years and have never had this happen before. I only came to this salon because I was in the area and needed my nails done, but I definitely won't be coming back. The customer service also wasn't great. When I first came in, there wasn't even a receptionist available to help me or book my appointment, which wasn't a good first impression. If I could leave zero stars for this place I would, as someone who gets their nails done on a monthly basis since she's been 15 yrs old, by now I know the step to step process on how the nails get prepped and how the system works. I'm very disappointed and enraged at their services. As soon as I walked in with my mother and little sister we felt some type of tension, with all the nails techs looking at us weird and just not being as welcoming as they were with other costumers. HUGE RED FLAG!!!! The salon looked very nice and pink which is why we stayed there not knowing that our services would be 10x worse. My mom got a gel manicure/pedicure My sister got regular polish I got gel pedicure Our total for all this was $210 dollars which is no issue, but for $210 you would expect the techs to take their time in crafting the service. WRONG, my little sister got regular polish and the nail tech finished in 15-20 mins, once I looked at her nails she had polish all over her cuticles and I had to kindly ask the tech to come back and remove the polish for her literal fingers not nails but from her fingers. We went on a Saturday, that same Saturday night my 10yr old sisters polish came off, she doesn't do any hard labor like wash dishes or do laundry. On Sunday morning my moms GEL manicure started lifting off but the afternoon she had no polish on 8 of her fingers!!!! I tried contacting them through Instagram demanding a refund, they said we could come in a fix it but at that point we didn't want to go through the same service again, she said we could come in so they could "correct the nails properly" but then she claimed they did not believe the nails were done incorrectly basically contradicting herself. I reached out to Studio Nail Bar for a hard gel mani (including a hard gel removal from a previous mani). They quoted me $70, which would have been fine for the quality of the nail shaping and the hard gel application I ended up getting. When I asked for softer/rounder edges (before the hard gel was applied), my nail tech said she would do it after the hard gel application. Despite telling her exactly what I wanted, I ended up with square nails - it wasn't what I wanted or asked for, and there was little she could do correct it because the application had already set. I also asked for a soft French mani for Mother's Day weekend, which resulted in an extra charge. My nails look like little teeth. I paid $95 for my set. There was very little conversation in English, which is fine. I was in a more relaxed mood and enjoyed people watching. This seemed to be popular service spot for folk who spoke Armenian. The vibes were nice; very pink and floral, music and music videos on their main TV. While the salon set up was nice, the service did not align with what I was looking for. read more

The cuticles on four of my nails bled. They were treated w a blue fluid, but at the end of the appointment, the tech brushed oil directly from the bottle's brush (not disposable) on the open wounds. It wasn't sanitary. Adding this bit because a refund was contingent on removing this review-- the nail tech told ME I was too sensitive when she cut me. Also, idk how many other people's cut cuticles she wiped the oil brush on. Aesthetics aside, I don't trust the cleanliness of this place. I also don't trust their reviews. read more

Within those 9 years, when my original Nail salon didn't have a time to fit me in I would go to another salon. Within those 9 years, I've probably tried over 8 or 9 different salons and none of them made me want to leave my salon, or they did a very mediocre job so I always went back to them. Then when I had had enough, I decided on trying another new place thinking to myself this is going to be horrible again but to my surprise, it was actually so much better than I expected. I have since, been going to this nail salon and I am so happy to report that I have now found my go to salon. My favorite is Meline, but believe me all of the girls there are AMAZING!!! I came in the morning of March 15 to have my gel manicure removed. The woman who did it only used the dremel. She did not soak my nails. She went so low into my nail bed that it burned and stung multiple times. She asked me if I wanted my nails filed and I said sure but she was so lazy about it that they were jagged. I asked literally for almost every nail for her to fix them because they were so jagged. I came here because the reviews were so good but I can't believe how horribly she did my nails. In the last few weeks they've been ripping nonstop. I never post bad reviews but felt that I needed to share this to warn people. The women who provided my services were nice enough, but the one that did my fingernails cut me on 3 different fingers. She was standing, so was probably trying to get it done as fast as possible. They also didn't do a great job of actually cleaning or cutting my nails. The polish looks great though. The photos acrylics look fantastic, just not my cup of tea.. Also pretty sure I noticed one of these ladies washing the "sanitized" equipment and put it back in its packaging. Drill bits didn't look sanitized whatsoever. Although the employees were really nice (which is why I'm giving it 2 stars), I waited 40 minutes to be seen even though I had an appointment. Kristina (and the receptionist) were very patient and kind and I know it wasn't her fault but in addition to me waiting so long, she cut me 3 times while doing my cuticles (drawing blood) and burned me several times while removing the old gel with the electric drill). I've been having my nails done for over 20 years and never been hurt. Even the next day, my nails and cuticles hurt and the nail beds feel soft and weak. I needed the nails done asap so decided to try a new spot. This place has been overrated. Didn't care for the technician because she even cut down my massaging time short next to none. You gotta be kidding me. You have lost me at a first failed try. Wasted $45 here. I should have stuck with my other favorite spot in Chino Hills, Herbal Nails instead. Do not come here or you will get a bleeding just like another Elite wrote before my 1 star review. I would have rated 'Zero,' if I could. And you call yourselves 'High-End.' At the beginning of the manicure the receptionist asked what design I wanted, and once I showed her the picture she immediately helped me figure out how we could achieve the look I was dreaming of.
