The fact that this salon has been going strong even during the pandemic speaks volumes. I cannot recommend this place enough for any nail work. Holy moly!!!! What an excellent manicure the place is very simple but clean and they are super hygienic, Especially doing the dip gel nails. Linda was very kind and fixed up the hot mess nails I brought in from another salon in San Diego. This is a place to visit on the regular! My only constructive notes would be it's a bit tricky timewise, I sat for 30 minutes in my soak off, so make sure you are not on a time constraint. Also, parking is wack because of burbank. I made an appointment 2 weeks prior for 2 manicures/pedicures. She took one of us right away, but I had to wait 45 minutes because there was only 2 of them there; one of them was in the middle of a manicure then went onto a pedicure before she started my pedicure. No explanation at all about the long wait until she began my manicure and said the third manicurist had to leave on a family emergency. If she had told me that from the get go, I could've used that 45 minutes to do some errands. We both got Gel X and mine just looks like ill-fitting thick false nails. One of my sister's nails fell off within 10 minutes; we went back to get it fixed - no apology - then an hour later another nail fell off. I'll never go there again. read more

I live around the corner and needed a last minute mani/pedi. I've been here before but it's been awhile. Now I remember why I haven't been back. I wanted gel mani and regular pedicure. I called ahead to make sure they had availability. When I walked in and was helped right away. Started with manicure. My nails are very uneven shaped and there is paint at the bottom of my nails that is already coming up. Now to my toes. Ugh. The lady barely did any skin cutting/cuticle trimming. She then painted my nails. I asked her to please touch it up because the paint was thick and uneven. She then went to the back and likely put thinner in the paint and tried to just add more to my toes to even it out. It was horrible. As she's in the middle of trying to fix it, the other lady comes over and asks for me to pay. My service isn't even over yet and I'm sure she could tell I was unhappy but she had to leave and didn't seem to care. I paid, she turned off the music, and left. Now it's just me and the lady doing my toes sitting there in silence. She put on the top coat and I'm waiting for my toes to dry to leave. I keep looking at them and just keep getting more frustrated that they don't look good. I finally ask her to take the polish off and just trim the extra skin she missed. She does that and I leave without polish on my toes, the service I already paid for. As she's putting on my shoes she says she's sorry and that she knew the polish she used on my toes was old so it didn't go on very well... maybe just tell me that in the first place and don't waste my time? The salon didn't feel very sanitary either. Definitely won't be back. read more

Wonderful Nail salon. Covid safe they wear masks and keep the stations six feet apart. I always get the gel manicure and Spa pedicure. They give a great foot massage and hot towel wrap as well. They are very friendly and accommodating. The gels last almost a month! read more

I've been going here for 3 years. The lady who did my nails is no longer there (she was amazing)! so the owner Linda started doing my nails. I usually bring in my own polish/top coat, but this time I used one of theirs. When the paint dried it was gummy and looked like bad paint. Maybe it was old or had acetone added to it. Anyhow, I called Linda to tell her and to rebook a fresh appointment for polish. When I went in for my appointment she was hostile. I almost never complain I'm a very shy person. I usually get my nails done in San Fernando but today I was home so I decided to pop into Golden Nail they took me quick customer service is always good I've had great nail experiences before today... I left in tears. My nails are taken very seriously I'm a person who loves nails and if they mess up my mood is. As they soak off gel polish she soaked my gel polish off my acrylic and anyone who gets acrylic knows if you soak them in acetone... they will come off. She did that and one broke and instead of taking the whole nail off to put a fresh one she put a new nail tip on top of my old acrylic she was rushing and I kept saying I want them more shaped and she kept saying okay she ruined my nails and they're thin and the acetone ruined them.... here's some photos I am very upset and I won't come here again because if you're paying and giving your all to a establishment and they rush and ruin your nails and take your money, it's not a good business. I hate to even do this to any business but it has to be done and I'm truly sorry but they no longer have my business. Here's the photos. First, the place isn't that nice but it's clean. the staff are nice. inexpensive. u get a mani for 10 bucks.. so here goes my story: i was supposed to go to burbank nails today but found out that they weren't open, and golden nails was the only nail salon that was operating on a monday. so i walked in they were really nice. so this girl heidi, she looked at my nails.. since i really don't want them long (i want them as short as possible), i cut them last night and she was like, "oh your nails are too short" and i told her that thats how i want them. so she started working on my nails and MADE ME BLEED when she was cutting off my cuticles. and when she was filing my nails, it freakin hurt like hell because, as she noticed, my nails were too short to file! the only good thing is that she was nice, and she did well on the acrylics. i love how it turned out. so i could say it's all worth it. i might give it another shot since im in love with my red nails right now. i'm still going aorund the neighborhood to find the best one for me. :) read more

The only place I go to get my nails done bc she remembered me. I haven't been here for at LEAST a yr. And a half and I walk in and she goes "there you are. Where have you been?" The massage chairs are new and they heat up when it's on and the rolls go!! They also have a tray that slides in so when they do a Medicure you don't have to move....yaaa!!! Very very dirty. They do not clean their tools or disinfect. I saw them on using cool water to wash and use on next person. My feet were itching really bad the next day and I also just felt sick (stuffy nose, fluish) after leaving this place. Nice women. But clean up your store and also the tools you use need to be disinfected after using on a client! Very bad business to not consider the health of your clients. Zero stars. read more

LIARS work here! My sister and I came here to get our nails done and they told us it would be a 20 minute wait. In 20 minutes time, they took my sister and told me it would be just a few minutes more. Forty-five minutes later, they still were not able to do my nails and continued to lie, telling me it would be just another few minutes. I am a very patient person but enough is enough! They continued to lie in order to keep my business and the end result - they never got to me and it was too late for me to go anywhere else to get my nails done. So, I went out that evening without having my nails done - lesson learned - NEVER going back. Had they just been honest with me, I could have gone next door and paid two dollars more to have my nails done. read more

I'm confused by all the wonderful reviews for this place. It was cheap, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about it. The same woman did my mani and my pedi, so maybe I just got a bad technician. My nails chipped within 24 hours and even one of my big toes chipped after a few days. My toes never chip. After a few days, my nails look pretty dismal. Every single nail has chipped. I am extremely disappointed and will not return. read more

If you like getting scammed, this is the place for you! I walked in to get a cheap $22 dollar mani/pedi. It took them 20 minutes just to get to me, after they said they could see me right away. Since they took so long, I asked them just to do a pedi. I didn't have time to do both. After harassing me to do the nails, she said at least let me clean up your cuticles, which I agreed to just to get her off my back. With the pedi done, she starts to "clean up" my cuticles and proceeds to put on nail polish. After everything was done and I was getting up to leave, she goes "It's $30 for you." Pardon me? The price on their board is $22 dollars, no where does it say $30. I say this to her, as I am totally confuse. She says "I asked if you wanted chair, you said yes" At no time did I ever say anything like that. I was lead to a chair that already had the water going, I assumed thats where every pedicure happened. All I asked for was the basic service. So, I left her the $30. NO TIP. No Tip was warranted. I walked down the street to meet my boyfriend who was getting his hair cut and one of the girls there said the same thing had happened to her! Clearly this place feels it has to scam their clientele in order to compete with a fantastic spa like Oasis, down the street. I will only be going there from now on and I hope I at least talk one of you out of giving your money and time to this evil place. I had been going to this place for over 5 years now. Loved it so much. But, recently i have been noticing a lot of negative actions. Linda who does my full set and fill started to use a nail polish top coat that would always turn my nails yellow. I had gone back to her and she was blaming the sun. I tried my own top coat ( perfectly fine) i told her that the top coat she is using is no good. so when i went back for a fill she lied and told me that she is using a new top coat which in fact turned my nails yellow again. I had explained to her that i was attending an important function. so i was sooo ashamed of my nails cause of the color distortion. then my sister caught an infection from Heidi cause she pulled an ingrown toe nail. My sister had to rush to the hospital cause the pain was intensified. I told Heidi about what happened and she basically called me sister a liar. she said that she never pulled anything. that same time, Linda worked on my husbands toes. we paid 20.00 for the spa chair. she was done in 2 minutes. he left with UGLY toes. she didn't file them right and made him bleed. overall, i don't know why i kept going back. could it be the hot towels? LOL!! please note - this place also DOES NOT sanitize any of their nail tools or spa chairs. the maintenance for this place is horrible and lazy, Heidi literally goes from working on one persons toes to another without cleaning or sterilizing. NOT WORTH getting FUNGUS at GOLDEN NAILS DO NOT GO HERE!!!! consider yourself warned. read more

Turn back! I came here because other spots on Magnolia were booked up. I normally check Yelp always, but didn't remember to, and walked in blindly. It's true what other reviewers said, the woman working there does tell everyone to wait and that 'she'll be right with them', but she has to finish what she's doing and doesn't care how long they have to wait. The atmosphere here isn't good -- at all. It's dirty, disheveled. The massage chairs were old and quite uncomfortable. Both the manicure and pedicure I got were rushed, with thick, sloppy layers of polish and a few mistakes that weren't fixed. She asked if I wanted flowers (without informing me that they are $3 each!) and I said yes because I was hoping that flowers could save my sad pedicure. My manicure was even worse, and chipped the same day. I really don't appreciate how this woman conducts her business. It's completely unprofessional and uncaring of her customers.
