My first experience with a scalp spa. I love to get my hair shampooed so I figured I'd give it a try, as I had seen a sign for first time clients. The ladies were so friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in the door. They have high tech camera that allows you to see the before and after of your scalp. My hair had not been washed in 4 days. The experience was good. Pretty relaxing, although I had some water dripping down my bag at times which became uncomfortable and distracting. I do wish there was better water pressure but there may be limitations in the city. My hair and scalp felt very clean afterwards. All in all the service is not my thing. I have medium coarse Italian curly hair and at the end they put silicone on my scalp (which I'm not a fan of in my hair) and blow dried it, but I don't have the kind of hair to do that on. I need product and a diffuser or air dry. Glad a service like this is being offered but nice people in Burbank but it's just not for me. read more

Wonderful experience at my 1st ever scalp spa. The space was clean, quiet & relaxing. Everyone was friendly & welcoming. The "Classic" deep cleaning and scalp massage was impressive. Though there was some neck/shoulder massage, the focus is on scalp care. I experienced no pulling of tangles nor water in my ears which I truly appreciate. You leave with dry hair but don't expect a hairstyle because, again, the focus is on scalp health. Overall, a relaxing ZEN experience! I left with my hair still smelling amazing and no more itchy scalp. The before/after pictures on the monitor were fascinating. Can't wait until next time. read more

This place is amazing! From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the friendly staff and taken back to your little retreat. The whole process was very relaxing, informative and not rushed at all. After the scalp treatment you get to see your newly cleaned scalp and trust me, you'll be impressed! Aimee was very attentive and did an excellent job. It's been a week now and my scalp is actually not as oily, which i'm impressed. I love the fact that once it's over and you go pay, they did not try to "sell" you anything like most other places do nowadays. I actually ended up purchasing a small package which was a great deal, buy 3 get 1 free! I had questions about other stuff and Sally was extremely helpful in answering my questions. This was my first time getting any kind of scalp treatment. I usually shave my head and am bald, but I've been growing out my hair and wearing braids. It's a lot of wear and tear plus product build up so I wanted a good cleanse and just to give my hair/scalp a break. Since this was my first time, I asked a lot of questions which they were more than happy to answer. Additionally, I was specific about not having my hair blow dried after the treatment because I don't use heat on my hair at all if I don't have to. I prefer air drying and they were more than happy to accommodate. It was so incredibly relaxing, you receive a scalp and shoulder massage (again, let them know what's comfortable or not comfortable for you). I was relaxed within minutes and almost went to sleep. The shop is incredibly clean and they make it a point to maintain the quiet as much as possible in order to give you the best and most relaxing experience. A wonderful new addition to Burbank! I have been wanting to try a scalp spa, but all of the ones I had seen were at least a half hour drive away. But then I saw that Zen had opened here in Burbank and booked in for my best friend and me to go at the same time. We both had an amazing experience and we were very impressed. The services were wonderful and the atmosphere was clean and peaceful. After analyzing my scalp they recommended the service they thought was best for me, not pushing an upsell.
