I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt I should share my experience. I don't have much experience with massages, so I wasn't sure what to expect. My experience with the older male massage therapist felt really weird, and I found his behavior unprofessional. I was confused about what had happened and felt uncomfortable at the end of the session. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

If you're looking for thumbs made of actual human steel, then go no further than Joe's at Olive Thai. The strongest thumbs in the game had me writhing internally. Intense and hard pressure = just what I wanted. Thanks Joe! read more

If you want a great Thai massage, visit Olive Thai massage. Joe and Tina are experts at their craft. Five stars!

Absolutely amazing experience! I had one of the best massages ever at this spot on Olive Blvd. The place is super clean, calming, and welcoming the moment you walk in. The staff is kind, professional, and really listens to what you need. My massage therapist focused on all the tight areas I mentioned and somehow knew exactly where all the tension was hiding. I walked out feeling lighter, relaxed, and totally refreshed. If you're in Burbank and need a great massage, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend! read more

Best Massage place and great customer Service. Good price. I been going to this place for over 5 years. Joe is great for Massage if you have any injuries and sciatic nerve, or herniated disk. After I was help by doctors and in Therapy for 2 Years I never got better and I was recoménded to have surgery. I decide to go with Joe and I got better. I continué to go because is the best place for relaxing or to get better from my injuries. I recommend everyone to go the this place because they are the best. You can get a sóft Massage or a strong Massage but you need to tell them in advance. read more

Terrible. Older gentleman clearly not certified had me on table with my ass hanging out. I kept thinking that he would for sure put a sheet on me, but had to wait about 15 minutes into the massage where I finally just told him that I wanted to cover up. He had no idea what he was doing. He placed his hands on me slowly without ever rubbing just pressure on my body. It was so bizarre that we didn't even get halfway through when I told him I was done and then they had the audacity to charge me $73 for that. read more

The older tall Chinese man gave me a brutal massage .... He stepped on the back of my knee and when I would tell him to ease up he wouldn't he went even harder. That's not professionalism! Also when it came to payment he tried to bully me into tipping more. It didn't work so he said "you cannot come here no more" and I told him I didn't care it's no law where people have to tip a certain amount or any if at all. The nerve of them folks! I only went there cause the main place I go was booked until closing. The building is old, there was mold in the bathroom and this place should be shut down. Bullying people for tips is harassment. I need to speak to my attorney about this matter actually!!! read more

Olive Thai Massage - Massage Near Me - Burbank, California

This is a great place to come in and unwind after a tiring day. The staff is completely nice. The environment in this place is very serene. They treat you like royalty as soon as you walk in they have you take off your shoes and they are waiting for you with slippers. I felt so spoiled. This time that I went I was treated by Tina. This lady is gold. I came in there so tense. She asked me how I was feeling and knew what to do from head to toe. I'm so glad that I found this place. I recommend it read more

Wow! Someone I know recommended I come here for a massage with Rat, and it was better than I ever could have imagined!!! Extremely skilled therapist who went right to work. I feel like I left my appointment with a different body... The facilities are also clean, beautiful, and well-equipped. Scheduling and paying was a breeze. I can't wait to come back! read more

Olive Thai Massage - Front of business - Massage Near Me - Burbank, California

I usually go to the massage place down the street, its great but sometimes you need someone that REALLY works you, Joe and his co-worker are those two people. Joe, a sage of a man who makes your experience a bit more fun, he REALLY gets your knots untied. It hurts but no pain no gain and MAN are the aftereffects good. He will adjust according to your needs and unlike other masseuses he asks where most of your pain is or what you need to work on. Hes like a Doctor. Trina, equally as great as Joe, slightly softer but lol she doesn't hold back. This place is true Thai massage if you want just a rubdown go somewhere else. read more

I don't know what just happened! But that was INCREDIBLY intense most amazing massage I have had up to date. I can move my neck. I can't even figure out what other adjectives to use to describe what just happened. This is not a place for the faint of heart. Holy sh*t. I don't know what was best part-the elbow on top of my shoulders or the neck. Don't get me wrong. It was incredibly painful. But if felt so incredibly amazing. I wish I paid for 2 hours cause I didn't want her to stop. Oh and then when she stood on my back... read more

If you want an authentic, real Thai message then go here. Getting messages regularly is a must for me. I'm an athlete and compete professionally. So speaking from experience - this message place is top! Truly authentic ! Joe is just amazinggg! He intuitively knows exactly where to apply pressure and how to "fix" you. There are many Thai message places around, but trust me GO HERE. Nothing fancy - but amazing messages. read more

I do feel bad as I write this but...Unfortunately had to stop the massage after 10-15 mins because of the pain and the masseuse pressing on my nerves. I was afraid I would end up with nerve damage as she did not know what she was doing. I mean those elbows were going in places I didn't know muscles existed; my ear sure didn't need the contact. Definitely felt like a lack of training vs different style of massage. I wasn't expecting a Burke Williams experience but I didnt expect to come out in pain and more tense then when I went in. The manager even had the audacity to say I was very tense. Well sir, I wasn't when I entered the room. I just wanted a nice relaxing massage. I did try telling the masseuse but there was no adjustment made. And after the 10 mins maybe 15 at most they charged me for a full half hour at $40 with no apologies. I know people have to make money, but c'mon. Take this as a warning. Although after reading some of the reviews maybe it's perfect for the masochists. Maybe others have had a better experience. I paid them and left. read more

I think its fair to leave a review after 5 years being a regular here. What to expect: nothing fancy but very clean and professional. Joe or as i call it dr.Joe is this seasoned straight forward man that has the strongest hands I have ever experienced to use to fix that damn nagging neck and shoulders pain that only goes away temporarily with Ibuprofen everyday, he will get to the root of the issue with full combo body massage (highly recommended). My experience has been walking out there (felt destroyed by his heavy hands) but pain free as it feels my body starts breathing and my blood flowing again. Be prepared to get unsolicited fatherly advice about life from him but its all in good nature. This is the only place i will choose for deep tissue and thai massage hands down! For more softer massage, ask for Tina, she is very good as well! read more

Very creative menu, and excellent selection.... I particularly loved the soups and seafood, and the chef accommodated my request that was not on the menu. Can't wait to go back read more

Loved my massage. I can't wait to come back here and get another Thai massage! The place is clean and quiet and everything was superb!

This place is great to get those knots out! Joe and his staff are very friendly and really know how to get deep into those muscles. This is hands down my favorite Thai massage place!!! I used to have neck, shoulder, and back problems & for a long time I tried multiple massage places & wasted my money because no one was able to fix my pain & aches. So I started searching for a massage place in Burbank and found this shop on yelp. Joe is the main guy I go to here because he quickly found the root of my pain and cured me of it & gave me so many advice on how to prevent it. I highly highly recommend him. He's honestly a great guy and very funny as well! I will keep coming back here because everyone's super friendly and helpful. The prices are affordable as well. You won't be disappointed! I also inserted a few pictures I took of the shop! read more

LISTEN, I haven't been able to move my neck without pain for months. I havent slept without tossing and turning. I've just lived with pain and then I met Joe at Olive Thai yesterday and that man has a GIFT. He is really strong and not for the weak at heart but he is worth it. No pain no gain. I just had my first good night sleep and right now, that neck pain is gone. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Okay, so ask yourself if you want to get better or feel relaxed for an hour after a massage. If the answer is better, come here. It's different from other techniques that focus where you hurt because it focuses on areas that cause other parts of your body to overwork themselves and cause pain. Don't get me wrong. Those places that might not hurt every day will hurt like a bitch when they're loosening them up, and you'll be surprised how messed up X will be when you came in for them to make Y stop hurting. This place is truly a gem, and you'll be a little sore for a day or three after, but you'll be moving better and feeling better after that. Thai massage done well is more effective massage than more traditional techniques, and this is a place to get it done well. It's a wonderful establishment. read more

THE WORST MASSAGE EVER! Here is why: 1)Even after repeatedly asking the masseuse to use less pressure and literally yelling OW, he did NOT adjust and continued to use extreme force. It was an extremely uncomfortable and painful massage. 2) I had asked for a Hot Stone Massage, and I got a Combo Massage 3) After the massage my shoulders, neck and back have been extremely sore to the point its excruciatingly painful to move. Everything hurts even when I'm not moving. I can't stretch my arms or move my neck freely. 4) My husband had another masseuse and has a similar experience with his masseuse. 5) Highly unprofessional and Untrained Staff DO NOT GO HERE. THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW BODIES WORK AND HOW TO GIVE A MASSAGE WITHOUT BREAKING YOUR BACK. I wish I had read the reviews to this place before going there. read more

WOMEN BEWARE! UNPROFESSIONAL! My review is based on numerous inappropriate comments that Joe made throughout my massage. As a woman I feel vulnerable enough as it is being nude (only panties) in front of a stranger, so I was caught off guard by the inappropriate comments that Joe made to me during my massage. Joe said to me "you have such a beautiful face, BUT you need to lose weight". He proceeded to tap on my belly and said "if you lost weight all the men would find you so beautiful", and he proceeded to make cat call whistle sounds as an example of how men would be so much more attracted to me. At one point during my massage he had me sit at the edge of the bed in front of a full length mirror on the wall and again said "look at how beautiful you are, but you need to lose weight" (remind you I was nude). Yes, I'm overweight, but that's none of his fu**ing business. Im paying for a therapeutic massage, not to be critiqued about my physicality. I was so mortified that I didn't know what to say. At the end of my massage when it came time to pay he reiterated his sentiments "if you leaned out you will be so much more beautiful", there were other people in the waiting room...I couldn't believe that this was actually happening to me. Joe is the most unprofessional massage therapist I have ever encountered, condescending. I don't understand why he felt this was appropriate on any level. I paid and left, got in my car and started crying. I felt violated and incredibly embarrassed. Joe- your job is to massage, no one wants to hear your critiques about their bodies. My body is none of your fuc*ing business. read more

I requested a deep tissue massage and ended up with a chiropractic session. I went in hoping to relax and after screaming from pain over and over again, the man still kept going. It was unpleasant and he did not listen to any of my requests or to dial it down a notch since he was so rough. I couldn't sleep due to the back pains since that session, and yeah, I think I have even more knots in my back from this. Overall, this was a horrible experience. UPDATE: The next day, there were bruises all over my back! read more

Just a little backstory (if you want to skip this just bump down to the last paragraph): I spent two weekends at Coachella and danced so hard my legs stopped working (several times). We left super early from Indio to Orange County and slept on the floor after an arduous drive, woke up and headed to Burbank airport. At this point, my sister and I are walking like the hunchback of Notre Dame and considering massages to end the weekend right. After calling a couple other spots near Bob Bope Airport, we booked two one-hour massages at Olive Thai Massage. She picked the Swedish massage and I went with the hot stone, both priced at $50. This is a standard operations kind of spot, so it's "strip down to underwear and lay face down on the table". The lights are super dim and the place has a fantastic energy and super chill music that keeps you in a meditative state, genuinely entrancing you throughout the whole process. Our massages went for a little over and hour and we both walked out feeling like a million bucks. Our masseuse checked in with us from time to time and really knew how to work the kinks out of the locked muscles but still be gentle during tender times. The owner was exceptionally welcoming as well! This is a wonderful option if you're looking for a post vacation (or just a local spot) massage. It's close to the airport (about a 7 minute drive) and also super close to Porto's Bakery (you know, potato balls and meat pies, Cuban coffee, sweet things, etc.). They earned a customer for as long as they're open and I live in Southern California (or am in town for whatever purpose). ** Don't forget to tip your masseuse!! ** read more

I was snapped, cracked, popped, bended, twisted, folded, stretched, pulled and pressed like fresh laundry. Mother of Thailand, this place was amazing! I am a happy client & I will be back every 2 weeks read more

"I must break you" That's what my therapist ought to have said upon entering the room. This place is not for the faint of heart. It's a no frills joint, that will absolutely get whatever knots out that you may have. But the women here dig, and then dig some more, to the point where you're not sure if you can take anymore. But when it's over.... Wow. Wow. Wow. Enjoy... if you can handle it. read more

If you need healing or pampering, GO HERE!! While it's not dressed in any kind of fancy ambiance, the quality and sincerity in customer service makes it the best I've experienced in Los Angeles. Absolute commitment to the massage, I LOVE IT!! read more
