I really like this place and they always have availability when I call. I don't have a specific masseuse that I request but everyone I have had always does an exceptional job and I leave super relaxed and with less pain. My go to is Swedish massage and sometimes I'll get it with a mix of hot stones. But they also offer deep tissue, Thai massage and combination. The place is clean, staff is friendly and prices are great. Parking is easy, I typically find myself parking on the side street or right in front. Unfortunately, my experience at Healthy Body Spa was disappointing. After returning from a business trip, I wanted a relaxing massage to relieve tension in my shoulders and lower back. I normally visit another massage establishment, but I wanted to try somewhere closer to home. I found Healthy Body Spa on Groupon offering a 75-minute full-body massage with hot stones and a body scrub for $66.76. I called beforehand, and they agreed to honor the promotional price directly, which I appreciated! Upon arriving, the establishment looked nice, and check-in was straightforward. The receptionist who assisted me also ended up being my massage therapist, which was unexpected but not necessarily a problem. She brought me into a double treatment room, although I would've preferred a private room. Before starting, I explained the areas I wanted her to focus on: my shoulders, back, and lower back. Unfortunately, the massage itself wasn't what I expected. Although I believe I received the full 75 minutes, the therapist's movements felt extremely quick and rushed. I'm accustomed to slower, smoother techniques that allow the body to relax. There were also moments when the pressure was genuinely painful. When I asked her to lighten up, she seemed irritated by my requests. I can't speak to what she was thinking, but that's how the interaction felt. At one point, I questioned whether I even wanted to continue. Thankfully, she eventually adjusted the pressure, and things became more comfortable. Now, credit where it's due! The hot stones were one of the better parts of the experience. She incorporated them throughout my body more extensively than I've experienced elsewhere, which I appreciated. However, there were moments when she pressed them too firmly against bony areas. The body scrub was also a first for me! LOL. It felt unusual initially, but I did find parts of it relaxing. What disappointed me further was how the experience ended. I normally take a moment after a massage to thank the therapist and express my appreciation. Despite everything, I still wanted to end positively. Unfortunately, her response was essentially, "Okay, yeah, bye. Have a good day," with very little acknowledgment or eye contact. I'm not expecting special treatment, but a little warmth and attentiveness go a long way, especially after an uncomfortable experience. I also usually take photos when visiting new places. I arrived about five minutes before my appointment, so I planned to take some afterward. However, given how the experience went, I honestly just wanted to leave. As for value, I paid approximately $67. While that's a reasonable promotional price for the services advertised, a discount doesn't automatically make an experience worthwhile. If you're considering visiting, I'd recommend checking Groupon for available promotions and confirming the price before booking. I can't speak for the other therapists, and your experience may be different. But personally, I wouldn't return. I'd rather drive the additional 15-20 minutes to my regular massage spot, where I've consistently received more relaxing and attentive service. As a former massage therapist, I understand the importance of keeping both massages synchronized, maintaining a consistent flow, and providing a full-body treatment without unnecessary interruptions. Throughout the session, both therapists left the room multiple times, which made the massage feel shorter than the time we paid for. Each time they returned, their hands were cold, making it difficult to fully relax. My therapist also never checked in about the pressure. I had to ask for deeper pressure myself, but even then, it wasn't strong enough to effectively work the muscles. The massage didn't feel balanced or like every muscle group received equal attention. Instead, it felt rushed and inconsistent. The only positive was that it was a good value through the group deal. However, I left feeling like the therapists lacked experience and that the quality of the massage didn't match what I would expect from a professional massage service. I hope the spa invests more in therapist training and consistency because the overall experience had the potential to be much better. Our first time trying this location we found via Groupon for a couples massage. We absolutely love it! It's right along the main street so parking on the street was easy. Inside felt so serene with low lights, soft music and a small water fountain. The room for the actual massages was nicely set up with such comfortable beds. Pam and Soda did an amazing job. I don't usually leave reviews, but this place absolutely earned this one--and not in a good way. This was hands down one of the worst experiences of our lives, and that's not an exaggeration. My girlfriend and I came in expecting a relaxing, professional massage. What we got instead was a complete disaster on both ends of the spectrum. Her massage was straight up painful from beginning to end. She said "ouch" multiple times and had to repeatedly ask the masseuse to ease up, but it was either ignored or just didn't matter. There was no care, no awareness, no professionalism--just excessive force the entire time. The hot stones were unbearably hot, to the point where she had to speak up, which should never even be necessary at a place that claims to be professional. It only got worse. When my girlfriend was told to turn over, the masseuse noticed she was looking around and covered her face with a dirty towel. Not fresh, not clean--a dirty towel. That alone is beyond unacceptable and completely unhygienic. Then she proceeded to rub her face aggressively with zero care or technique. On top of that, she was using her knees and elbows, digging into her back like she was working on an object instead of a human being. It was rough, careless, and honestly felt borderline abusive. Meanwhile, my experience was the complete opposite--and just as bad in a different way. My masseuse applied little to no pressure at all. It didn't feel like a massage, it felt like someone was lazily rubbing lotion on me with no skill, no effort, and no intention of actually doing the job. The hot stones? Not even hot. Barely warm, completely pointless. So between the two of us, we paid for one painful, aggressive experience and one lazy, useless one. No consistency, no quality, no professionalism--just a complete waste of time and money. And to top it all off, we both walked out with our backs and necks aching and bruised. Let that sink in. We came in expecting relief and left in worse condition than when we arrived. This place is unprofessional, careless, unhygienic, and clearly lacks any standard of quality or customer care. I'd love another hot stone massage, but I didn't have the time today, so just got a basic massage. The place is very well maintained and highly professional and has a peacefulness to it from the time you walk in. I couldn't make out my masseuse's name, but she definitely knew her craft, and where all the pressure points are located because she would poke one area and I'd feel it in another, but by the time I left my neck and shoulders were more relaxed than they've been in awhile. Long story short they do not show any type of flexibility or accommodation to their customers. I wasn't able to make my appointment and i attempted to reschedule MULTIPLE TIMES considering I have a PAID voucher. Instead, I was met with a very rude front desk lady who hung up on us multiple times when we are apologizing and attempting to reschedule. Seeing the owner's response below, it shows that the terrible customer service starts from the owner. They did not care to hear us out. I understand that a client canceling can be frustrating but it does not give the business the right to be disrespectful towards a paying customer when we are not being disrespectful towards them. I've used Groupon numerous times and have always been greeted with a friendly and accommodating experience. Today I called at 0900 and my son and I used Groupon coupons and they were able to take us at 11:00. The phone experience was top notch and our friendly and courteous therapists were ready and happy to assist us. We were both amazed at the quality of the massages and the genuine caring and that they were making our experience the best it could be. Really hate that a decent massage gets ruined by a forceful tip. It is not fair to force someone to pay a $20 tip each. We tip what we can, the service is paid for and it's just WRONG to make people feel uncomfortable and demand more money. Be more courteous. Prices for services continue to go up and although you look for better prices (Groupon), service quality diminishes and people become more demanding for unearned tips. You did your job and nothing more, literally nothing more, so be human to colleagues, mothers, daughters... I can do a mean massage and always cater to my family, decided to do something more "special" for my mothers birthday (since I don't have a massage room), she was shocked she got same massage she does with me and still had to pay so much to a stranger and witnessed them ask for more money.
