I love Nature Moon Spa. My family and I have been coming here for a long time and I've incorporated a deep tissue massage into my monthly self-care routine. After I leave here I am able to assess how my body is doing, how to keep better posture, and what I need to work on stretching and strengthening wise so I'm not as tense the next time I'm in. I find that this routine has helped me be more intentional in my day to day work + exercise routine and that I'm better off here than at a chiropractor. I showed her where my back hurts and she recommended a combination massage. She proceeded to rub my skin with oil and maid minimal effort to help my back. Her technique is not precise and she hit so many nerves that it became uncomfortable. I complained and she told me that masseuses don't use their fingers to get knots out, only elbows, which is weird. I left in as much pain as when I arrived. I still tipped her 20% because I'm nice, but not returning. I just needed my back worked on. read more

This is for Rachel: The best and deepest deep tissue massage I've ever had! She really listened to the areas I needed care on and went so deep. It was so painful in the most helpful way. I almost had to ask her to lighten which I've never gotten close to and that says how great the DEEP tissues is. There was a moment where I clenched my fist cause it hurt and she held my hand and asked if I was okay (I said yes but to keep the pressure as I needed it) and she held my hand through the whole time as comfort. I didn't have an appointment, but as soon as I walked in I noticed the atmosphere was really calming and I didn't have to wait long before they had a room ready for me. That next hour and a half was pretty amazing... I felt like I was melting into the bed. I'm a pretty anxious person so I'm usually pretty tense, especially in my neck. On Sunday 2/23/25 I had an appointment at 6:00pm for 90 min massage that my wife got me a gift certificate for $100. I went in and told the lady named (Ju) to give me a tough deep tissue massage. I told her about the pain in my body and how I really needed a heavy hand for my massage. In return I said i'd give her a nice hefty tip no problem. The so called "massage " lasted an hour and a half and it felt as though someone was tapping and patting my body. None of the knots in my back were relieved. No strength in that massage. At the end I told her that this was one of the worst massages I have ever received but still tipped $20 because of her time. If you are looking for a gentle massage this is the place for you. If you need deep tissue massage I would pass on this place. read more

Been coming here for more than a year now. All of the masseuses are amazing! Penny did an amazing job today. I I feel a lot better. She's petite but really strong. For 90 minutes, the quality didn't diminish at all. It was consistent all throughout. This is a really great Thai massage in which the masseuses aren't afraid to really dig into your muscles (if you're into that.) I had bought a Groupon for this place and called ahead to make an appointment for 2 at 7pm on a Thursday. The lady who took my call was courteous and took my name and phone number. I wasn't able to find the deal on Groupon again but I found a deal on Yelp so my girlfriend was able to show that and get $14 off of the regular $59 Thai massage. There are also signs around that show a $45 all day Wednesday special so it seems as if $45 is their typical "reduced rate." Parking was sufficient when we arrived and we were seen immediately and shown into a room and told to disrobe (leaving underwear on.) Afterward, two ladies came in (one for each of us) and asked for the hardness/pressure level, to which we asked for hard, and medium/hard, respectively. The ladies also asked if we had specific spots we wanted, which we then specified. The massage was overall very good. The masseuse really knew what she was going and was able to use her feet, hands, and arms to really dig into knots and roll them out, to the point of near-pain. I could feel her working on specific parts very thoroughly that were really tense and didn't finish until my muscles felt like pulled pork, in a not-unpleasant-way. Afterward, we were given hot tea and little biscuits which was a nice touch, and the manager took my phone with the groupon and noted the number, and also looked at my girlfriend's yelp page thing. There was a recommended tipping scale of $10 for ok happy face and $15 for a more happy face and up, so we each tipped $15. Note there is a $2 additional fee for credit/debit so cash is preferred. read more

This place used to be my spot for years. I would get a massage every two weeks for almost 5 years! I took a year off due to a death in the family and traveling and this place has changed. Unfortunately, I probably won't return. It pains me to say this cuz my previous therapists are no longer here, rules have changed, prices have increased, and the service has declined. Just a note for all therapists: if a client tells you exactly where they are having tightness and exactly how much pressure they would like, and they reaffirm that twice during the massage; modify how you massage to meet the needs of the client. They used to walk on your back, but we were 20 min into the massage when I asked if she would walk on me. She walked for maybe 5 minutes. My therapist was a nice woman and everyone is still kind, but I'm good on this spot from now on. I'm also not putting everything on this massage spot cuz I know how difficult it can be to run a business in LA and California, in general. I'm gonna go to Planet Fitness and finish my massage on their Hydromassage bed. My back and hamstrings are still tight. If I'm making a suggestion to a potential customer, be VERY specific as to what you want and hold them accountable to that. It's just difficult for me to be rude when someone is serving me and is being kind. read more

I had a hot stones couples massage appointment at 5pm, but I had to change it twice. Ended up with 5:45pm, due to the distance we were coming from in Burbank + traffic. (We were visiting from the Bay Area not knowing how far everything was from each other in the LA area the whole trip.) luckily, one of the ladies there, let me change it twice. When we got there, everything was obviously ready for us, since we were a bit late. The two ladies that worked on us were Pam & Peer. (Not sure how to spell Peer's name.) My husband and I never received a massage like this before! It was a bit different from other places we have been. Maybe this was a bit similar to a Thai massage, but not actually a Thai massage, get it? The stretches that they did on us, was amazing, with the massages. The hot stones, really made us feel very relaxed. Even if there wasn't any hot stones, I think that we both would still be very relaxed from this type of massage. The level of pressure that Pam gave me was perfect. This was actually very worth it for the Groupon deal that we had. Ours was only 60 minutes, but I look forward to having a 90min hot stone massage in the future. The place actually looks very cozy like a home. Cool & different, as you see in the photos/video. Also, at the end of the massage, they give you a tea, crackers & almonds. How nice! What a great way to end my Southern California vacation. read more

The lady was on the phone when I walked in but she asked me if I wanted to come back at 6. They had no openings and I walked in around 4:45pm. I said sure no problem. She proceeded to write down my phone number. I arrive at 5:45 since I had to use the rest room and apparently there was some mix up And the lady who wrote down my number wrote it wrong. They didn't have any availability till 6:30. By then I had waited so long I just waited. She apologized and offered me some tea and cookies while I waited. I finally was seen around 6:35. The lady apologized again and I was going to get a massage.. finally...the lady who did my massage did a pretty decent job. My upper back and legs were in pain and she asked which areas I would like some focus on. After the massage, I was offers tea and cookies and nuts. There is a $2 charge if you used card. I used the $15 discount by checking in. I do wish they had offered some type of discount for me waiting for so long. I'm not sure if I'd come back but if I do, I'm making an appointment. read more

I came here based on the good reviews, but left feeling like I wasted my money and time. A gentleman did my massage today -- he also works the front desk? It was the worst massage I've ever had. The amount of oil he used was outrageous (I hated hearing the squishy sounds) and his technique didn't feel like a technique at all. Usually, I feel as though there's a flow, like evenly working one side and making your way to other. He was all over the place and his pressure points felt very lazy. It's currently really hot outside so they have their AC blasting, but the massage tables aren't warmed up. When he does the pre and post wipe down with the wet towel, it can start to feel a little chilly which didn't feel great on my already stiff muscles. He also didn't wipe down my hands or feet very well, so I felt like I was just covered in oil after I was done. He did offer me hot stones which I know some places charge extra for -- it was okay. It definitely helped but because his technique was so poor, it didn't feel as good as it could have. Lastly... this might be a personal pet peeve but I hate being charged for CC fees. I know they get charged from the CC companies, but I've never thought it was fair to put that responsibility on the customers. It's the cost of doing business and a fee they should take on in my opinion. Also, it's 2022 and not everyone carries cash anymore. Because the charge was $2 extra, I just took it out of his tip. Like someone reviewed a few years ago-- you know it's bad when you're laying there for an hour thinking about what to write for your review. This was pretty bad. read more
