Right away being greeted by Southeast Asian women (as a Southeast Asian woman) I immediately felt comfortable. When they are ready to take you back, you leave the lobby to the main area where all the rooms are, separated by curtains (Reminds me of Thai massages in Thailand). The ambience was perfect for my husband and I: clean, quiet, and with ambient music playing. (I saw other reviews about hearing the bar next door, but I couldn't even hear the noise outside though it could be because we were furthest from the front door.) It's not your typical LA fancy spa atmosphere but that's not important to us, a good massage is. And the massages were EXCELLENT. My husband in particular is very very muscular and very tense and at other places he would complain about the pressure not being strong enough. With Phai, however he said it was the best massage he has ever gotten. He made sure to take her name because he intends to come back regularly! She really targeted his requested areas and he felt very loose and relaxed afterwards. I had Noi who was also amazing and applied the perfect, firm pressure as requested. We both did the combination massage. I didn't catch the woman's name at the front desk but she was so kind and helpful before and after. We will definitely be back!

The phrase "this massage place is hit or miss" doesn't fully capture the insane, uncomfortable,…read moreanxiety inducing experience of enduring a "miss." The massage started off normal enough. The masseuse hit all the normal spots. But things started to slide off the rails when I began to realize no knots were being lingered over, no tight areas explored. It was like I was being massaged by a mime who didn't actually know what they were doing, but were simply trying to convincingly put their hands in normal enough places. And if that's all the massage ended up being that would've been fine. But then things got really weird. For starters, she rested the cold plastic bottle of oil against my bare skin. Like, what the hell? Then, she grated her fingers against my scalp, rubbing my hair in a way that made me feel like I was being punished by a catholic school nun. Then! She stuck her fingers in my ears! In! It was here, during round two of scraping my scalp in funny patterns, that I finally had to tell her to stop. Maybe not the worst massage I've ever gotten, but certainly one I will be forced to remember for a long time.

The atmosphere was calm and respectful, and the staff was wonderful. Helen did my scrub and did an excellent job (on the harsher side, which I loved). This is great if you want it quiet. Not a place you come with a bunch of friends that want to socialize. $3 validated parking for the Central Plaza parking garage right across from it. Came when they had 50% off admission which was $25 but seemed overpriced if you are a guy. Pros: -Unlimited Reishi mushroom tea. They also have water and coffee everywhere. -Large sized towel, robe, slippers in the locker. -3 jacuzzis (Himalayan salt, alkaline, citrus) , wet sauna (love that it's like a fog/mist and not shower sprayers!), dry sauna, and 3 specialized rooms (Infrared, salt, and mud room w small heated balls which was my favorite). All was great, but wish there was a cold pool in the women's area too. Cons/Room for improvement: -Though they now have a clothed, co-ed section, it is underwhelming. -The jacuzzi was warm, not hot. -There was a waterfall pool but was very shallow and also just warm. -Cold Plunge is a 5 ft. deep pool that had a rickety ladder to get in/out of. It would've been nice if it had a seat. -The wet and dry saunas were off and took a while to turn on, but never got hot. My guy friend gave feedback on the men's locker room: -no restroom inside -no sinks inside - no sit down showers which the women's side has If I were a guy, I wouldn't come just for the spa as it just feels like a side amenity. And definitely expensive even at $25.

It seems to have downsized --probably an effect of the pandemic, but also the overall feel of the business has changed drastically. There is no receptionist to greet you when you come in. They ask for payment up front. An electronic voice greeting goes off TWICE every time the door is opened, which you can hear from the massage room EVERY TIME. The same four minutes of music playing on repeat was honestly a little distracting/annoying. Weird fluorescent lighting in the massage room doesn't help. Overall, I really wanted to overlook all this stuff and just enjoy the massage, but it was not a relaxing experience. My masseuse seemed nice but spent most of the time on my back when I specifically asked her to focus on my legs. I realize how whiny and privileged this sounds, but it was so disappointing and felt like a waste of money. Do yourself a favor and just go to Yolo instead.

I was literally told I was 'glowing' after going here. I went in feeling tired and tight and left feeling relaxed and soft. I went on a Tuesday afternoon so it wasn't very busy. I took my time showering and using the steam room and mugwort tea and salt bath before my treatment. I had Kathy, she had very strong hands which is what I needed! But she checked in on me frequently to make sure it wasn't too much. I didn't have time for the salt sauna or infrared sauna but both were clean and well maintained. Full disclosure: if you're not comfortable with nudity. Or you want a more chill/ clothed massage this is not the place for you. The woman doing my treatment (unfortunately didn't catch her name) was amazing and the overall experience was incredible. Before my scrub, I spent about 30 minutes in the steam sauna, which I'd definitely recommend because it helps prep your skin and gives you the best results from the scrub. The body scrub itself was definitely an experience. If it's your first time, don't go in expecting it to be super relaxing because it's pretty intense and certain parts can feel rougher than others. But the results are absolutely worth it. My skin has honestly never felt so smooth and soft. All of the dry, dead skin was completely gone afterward and my skin felt unbelievably clean, hydrated, and refreshed. The spa itself is a little smaller than some of the other Korean spas I've been to, but it was still very clean, nice, and had all the essentials like the sauna, Himalayan salt room, and other relaxation rooms. Spa entry is included with your treatment purchase, and you could honestly spend the whole day there if you wanted to. There's also a traditional Korean kitchen inside that had really good food. Overall such a fun experience and definitely worth trying at least once.
