I find this spot a gem for an affordable foot spa massage. For a 40$ one hour relaxation , is worth the visit. Started going here, way back when we only pay $20 since they started. Now, i noticed new faces in front desk, welcoming and friendly. Our most requested Jack and Kevin, Andy were the experts and would hit those knots needed attention. This is honestly one of the best massage experiences I've had in a long time! From the moment I walked in, I felt relaxed. The place is very clean, , and nicely decorated, which really sets the mood. The therapist was extremely professional and took the time to ask about my problem areas before starting. I have a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders from working on the computer, and they focused exactly where I needed it. The pressure was perfect, and they adjusted it based on my preference. First of all, I have been a regular for about 10 years. I paid for 1hr foot massage. My hour massage was only 50 minutes, my toes never got massaged (only feet and legs), I asked him not to do "karate chop" on my body-he karate chopped me, and he only did 5 minutes on my back, should be 15 minutes on back! I went to this location yesterday with my husband around 2:30 PM. Unfortunately, I had to walk out by 3:10 PM because the massage was so bad I simply couldn't take it anymore. I didn't want to make the masseuse feel bad or create an awkward scene, but it was that uncomfortable. I left from the second bed near the front desk area. My husband decided to stay behind--his massage wasn't as bad, or at least tolerable, I'm guessing. I understand that you get what you pay for with a $40/hour massage, but I've had great experiences at similar places, and even at this same location before, which is why we returned. However, this time something unacceptable happened. My husband had brought cash, and after I left, he realized $300 was missing from his belongings. His basket was originally on his side of the curtain, but when he checked, it had been moved to the front desk side. This is extremely concerning. My eyes were open the entire time I was there so nothing happened until I left around 3:10 pm. That's also when the front desk lady was at the front. She got there around 3:00 pm. If I were the owner, I would absolutely check the security cameras around the time I mentioned on 7/11. I felt belittled, disrespected, and completely uncomfortable. Her tone was aggressive, her demeanor was hostile, and her treatment of me was absolutely unacceptable. I do not expect--nor will I tolerate--being harassed by a staff member in an establishment that claims to provide relaxation and care. This kind of conduct is not only unprofessional, it is damaging to your reputation and completely inexcusable. No customer should ever be made to feel the way I did. If this is the kind of treatment your business condones, it's a serious concern. I demand an immediate explanation and a clear outline of what action you intend to take. The massage was what it was for $35. I came here with a friend yesterday and we both had paid for 1 hour massages for $35. These massages at that price point are not in a private room but in a more communal area. I had to use the bathroom so my friend was putting away her belongings and took off her top while I went, when I came back her massage had already started. I quickly put my stuff away and laid down while my feet started it's soak in a foot bath. My massage therapist immediately started working on my shoulders. Her pressure was fine at first but started getting more rough. Especially towards the end. I started feeling like a piece of meat when she just dropped my limbs down after a massage in that area. When she told me to flip over on to my stomach, she started taking my top off so roughly that she dropped my pillow cushion and banged my head on the table. I wasn't happy about that. She apologized. She massaged my neck with hard pressure. I told her not to but when she sat me up she tried to again. Our massages ended at the same time so I don't even think I got my full hour, which I was sort of grateful for. Overall, you get what you pay for. I was happy to find this place close to where I'm visiting, I selected the combo massage for $45. The guy pretty much beat the crap out of me with the firm massage. I had to ask him to go softer and I can usually handle more. What upset me most is when I gave him a $5 tip at the end because I tip based on my experience, which wasn't that great. He ran out to ask for $10. The owner proceeded to say, minimum tip is $10. I refused because 1. There isn't a sign indicating that 2. Tips are based on the customers choice 3. Wtf?! I've come here many times over the years and I'm dissatisfied with my latest experience. My boyfriend wanted to treat us to a massage and we would describe the service as adequate. Upon leaving staff ran up to us and asked "NO TIP!?" We stated we paid up front and brought no cash to tip. Staff grabbed the owner and she said "you can tip on card, how much?" We said "we'll do $10 altogether". She would not let us leave until we tipped $20. We got (2) 60 minute combination massage which outside is posted as $40. Inside it's listed as $45. Now for the bad, prices have gone up, there is a written sign that reads $40 for one hour massage. Kind of expected since everything has gone up. Please be aware that no matter if you liked the massage or not they EXPECT a minimum $10 tip. Sadly i was planning on tipping them that amount anyway, but when i pulled put a five first the lady at the desk started talking loudly about the $10 minimum tip and all of a sudden more of her workers appeared from behind the curtain waiting for money to appear. No frills spot. If you want a massage for really cheap. I guess it does the job. It's a communal area wbu b definitely was weird at first. It's hard to relax when the door is opening constantly, people talking, no privacy etc. but for the price point, I guess it's doable. What I'm not ok with is the forced "minimum $10 tip" ... tipping should be optional, not mandate. If you are going to make this a requirement you have to let your clients know. You can't just demand that after the massage. Super awkward to demand more money when you've already paid for the service. Weird behavior, and I see lots of complaints.
