My boyfriend and I went there for the first time. Good point about this place, they take walk-in. So we paid $100 for both of us, the massage was 1hr. When they finished their job, my boyfriend tried to tip $5 to the lady who massaged him and he was about to tip the staff who massaged me but she told him the tip is $10. The guy in the front desk received our phone reservation for 3:00 pm but when we got there he flatly told us that he cannot take us in because he doesn't have staff to work on us until 5:00 pm! I would like to give 5 stars but the only thing why I won't is because at the end of the massage we gave 5$ tip to the guy who did the massage to my boyfriend and I was about to give another 5$ tip to the lady who did mine. We love coming here for date nights and special treats. Overall we've always been very satisfied but the last 2 times we've come, our 1 hour massages have been cut short by 10-13 minutes. Today one side of my lower sciatic was completely skipped because she was rushing to finish early and go home, I assume. I also had difficulty relaxing due to the fact that one of the other employees had her phone on LOUD speaker and was either watching a tv on it our talking loudly with someone. My husband and I decided to try this establishment after being referred to this spa by my sister. The Spa is located in a small shopping center in Glendale on Colorado Blvd. After being greeted by the owner we went off for our 1.5 hr hot oil massage with hot stones. My massage started off pleasant enough when suddenly I sensed a change in the masseuse. The new masseuse seemed to rush and also apply unnecessary pressure. I started to feel pain and felt as if she was pinching me unnecessarily hard. While I did not like the pressure or pace of this masseuse I kept quiet. This was my mistake. When the massage was completed I felt a pain in my neck and shoulder. This was not a pleasurable massage. While it started out pleasant and relaxing it ended with pain and discomfort. On top of that, she complained about my tip and requested more money. Remember a tip is a gratuity and optional not mandatory. Begrudgingly I gave her additional money which I regret now. Every now and then I like to go get a massage. I always want to try something new, so I decided to come to Spring Massage Spa. I kind of don't know why they call it a spa cause I think they only do massage, there are no showers, saunas, anything of that sort (I'm not 100% sure, but just from what I saw). I called in an hour before I wanted to go in and they had an opening. I walk in and a man called the masseuse. I paid ahead of time, with tip, but expected nothing less from any massage place. We went into the room and got all set up. She got started and I have to say that it was awesome. She knew some good techniques. She had good strong hands, knew how to properly use her forearm for more pressure, and read my body language well. She knew if she was giving too much pressure and she knew when she could apply pressure. The massage did last a full 60 mins, which many places will do only like 50 mins. She was really professional and took great care of me. My shoulders are full of knots and she felt them and worked on them. My body feels so much more at ease. I always tell myself that I need to go have these massages more often, but never do... I would really recommend this place. They do an amazing job and will treat you well. This is the worst massage store I have ever visited. First, they don't speak English. Two Chinese women speaking in Chinese and laughing (probably making fun of me, which is rude).
