Look no further! Karo's hands were truly blessed by the Gods! ( I've been watching a lot of Spartacus lately) But seriously he is amazing. It can be so disappointing some times when you go to get a massage. You're always praying and hoping that the next massage therapist will be better but more times then not their average or just below avg. I am all to familiar with this feeling as I get at least one massage a month. I am SUPER excited though that I found Karo on my first round here in Glendale. He has been a massage therapist for 35 years and his knowledge and skill set speak for his tenure. I explained to him the discomforts I was feeling and he listened and asked questions to better understand. Then once I was on the table he went to work. I went in for $65 for an hour and 15 minute deep tissue massage. First of all, you can't beat that price. On average a 1 hr deep tissue costs $85 so enough said. From beginning to end he used the right amount of pressure and knew exactly where to massage. I was able to seriously lay there and relax. He needed zero guidance or suggestion for pressure or areas to work on. Its like his hands were reading my body. He's super nice and if his time permits if there is a part of your body that needs more work he might just do it for free. Since it was my first time he took a little more time and even gave me a free foot scrub after my massage. All in all, Karo is a very talented massage therapist and you would be missing out if you chose to go else where. I am going to be one of his new regular clients. Parking was easy and free. read more

Legit the best massage I've ever had in my life. He did an amazing job and even massaged my neck, and i find it's hard to find a massage place that does neck. I would give another star if I could!! read more

Karo is very professional and always addresses all my issues. He is amazing at honing in in specific issues and treating problem areas. I suffer from tension in my upper body, sciatica, and headaches. Whenever I arrive my muscles are usually incredibly tense, and when I leave I have much more movement, flexibility, and noticeable reduction in tension and pain. Karo is outstanding at what he does and truly cares. Every time I see him I leave feeling one hundred times better than when I came in. I'm so happy to have found him and highly recommend! read more

Karo is AMAZING. He is so knowledgeable about the human body, the musculoskeletal system, and he really makes you feel better. Please note: this is NOT a spa massage. It can be intense but if you are experiencing pain, Karo can really help you. I am sending my sister next week for her neck pain. I honestly felt like I was on cloud 9 when I left the office. I recently had my first baby and there is so much going on with my body and I really feel soooo much better. Please see Karo if you have pain or discomfort- he is amazing. He is also a very kind man with a sweet soul. You will know what I mean when you meet him. read more

I went to Dr. Karo for an hour and 15 min massage. He ended up giving me a 2 1/2 hour massage because of how tense I was and only charged me the price of what I originally came for. He talked me through the process and was very in tune to what my body needed. He was attentive and told me to take it very easy the next couple days. If you're as stressed out as I am and in need of a doctor that will know exactly what your body needs, this is the guy. He is amazing and I highly recommend. read more

Had an overall good experience here. Was nice change of pace to go to an actual massage therapist instead of a chain spot that just tries to get as many people through as possible. Within 30 seconds of starting, Karo had identified all of the spots on me that needed work and got to it. Felt much better and looser at the end. Pricing is good, and he does a 75 minute massage for the same cost or less than what most places charge for a 60 minute massage. Only one thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars. I have a hard time relaxing certain parts of my body sometimes when I get a massage. He would tell me to relax, but had to do that several times, and I think started to get a little frustrated when I didn't relax those muscles. The more times he would tell me to relax, I would have a hard time doing so since I was starting to feel pressured and would tense up. Does not have the most soothing voice. But overall good experience, and would definitely recommend checking him out! read more

I have been getting Karo's amazing massages for a few years now. I've told so many people about him healing hands. I usually get a 90 or 120 minute massage and I feel like I lost 50 pounds when I stand after he's done. It's amazing how he loosens the tension in muscles you never knew you had. I will always recommend Karo to everyone that likes a good massage. Karo is not your corner massage parlor masseuse, he's a true therapist. If you want to be caressed for an hour, go to your local Asian shop and pay $35, but if you want a real massage by someone that knows the human body, you have to see Karo! read more

I had been experiencing some soreness in my neck and realized it I was way overdue for a massage. I am the sort of person who will keep trying until I get it right, or in this case, find the right one, as in massuses. I think I just did! Karo is a wonderful massage therapist. He was very calming yet knew all the areas where I needed work without me saying anything. To me that speaks volumes! He asked me how long I wanted the massage for. I decided to just go with the hour and 15 min version. The room was in a physical therapy office. It was a private room with quiet music and low light. Very relaxing. He offered water, either room temperature, or chilled. (He also offered chocolate, which is a nice touch). I was very satisfied with the entire experience and will definitely be back. His prices were very reasonable and was able to get in on the same day as well. Thank you again, Karo! read more

The best massage I've experienced in a long time. Karo is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning.

Excellent! Not the typical "spa" massages that are prevalent everywhere these days. Really can't say enough. Its very hard to find a good massage therapist. Karo is very thorough. If you want a real massage, go here. Also, seems like he really cares about his work. Highly recommend. read more

I had severe pain I my shoulder blade and back. So much that I did not want to leave my bed at all. I asked around and was told karo was the best around. So I called and explained what was wrong over the phone and was able to make an appointment for the very next day!! Long story short it was a great experience, I walked in feeling injured and horrible and left his office with a smile on my face and feeling great. read more

My husband started having back issues and I suggested he get a massage. After finding karo on yelp my husband made the appointment for a Sunday at 630. Karo took his time and was great! He kept him until about 830 and really helped him out with his back issues. Husband came out feeling like a brand new person. I would definitely recommend karo! read more

Most people claim they know their stuff but they really don't, I been looking for awhile now, and I think I finally found someone that dose. I been living with multiple injuries for years, didn't even tell him all about them, but it seemed like he knew were each one was. read more

Holy cow!!! What a massage! You know how you go to that next massage hoping it's going to be with someone who really knows what they're doing!? Look no further! -This is the guy! I booked an hour, he worked on me for two at no additional charge. From start to finish the guy is working on you with no wasted time. Lavender aroma therapy, classical music, and heated padded table, are all nice touches too. My next appointment is already booked. Book yours! Seriously, you'll be glad you did! read more

Definitely an excellent choice if you want to feel like a million bucks. You won't regret giving karo a chance to show you how his experience and knowledge can help you feel a whole lot better than before you walked in. His scheduling works well with any busy persons workday, which is a big plus if you don't have a lot of free time. read more

Karo is truly amazing! I finally found a great human individual that actually cares for his patients and customers. I've been having L4 (lower back) problems since 2009, which unfortunately comes and goes. It got really bad these past two months, to a point we're I have problems to sleep at night. After one treatment with Karo, I literally feel like the previous reviews say: LIKE A NEW HUMAN being. He explained what was wrong with me, why it was like that, what to do to prevent it (small things that my conscious wasn't aware of). My muscles was more than tense, and it was a little painful, but it's well worth it. Even if you're sensitive or your skin is, take the temporarily hit on your body and let his 20+ years of knowledge work on you! I'm so happy I found him, and I believe in every seconds of his work. My chiropractor, Dr Mary from "The Joint" referred me. This was worth every penny I gave him, and it wasn't a lot considering the time he spent on massaging my nerves and muscles. I breath better, I walk better, and I feel more relaxed. If you sit down a lot at work like me, go and see him. Even once a month is enough, or what ever signals your body is giving you. Thank you sir! read more

I have been going to Karo for over 15 years. He is an amazing massage therapist! A friend of mine recommend him to me and I owe her big time. I have seen numerous of massage therapist but none of them are even 1/2 as good as he is. I think what makes him a great massage therapist is he has over 20 years of experience and he listens to his clients. When he works on you he isn't stuck to a clock time and tries to rush you in and out quickly. Karo makes you feel like a priority and he wants all his clients to feel better after the massage. I have sent friends to see him and even family (Mom, sister and adult nephew and niece. They are all amazed with how the feel a thousand percent better. read more

Karo's deep bodywork and healing hands have definitely helped me deal with a chronic should impingement and some problem hip pain that just flared up. I am off for 17 days of intense martial arts training in Japan and Karo has helped me get my body as pain free as possible before I leave. I also know that he will be one of the first people I see when I get back! :) Deep breathing is recommended! read more

Karo is the best masseuse I have ever had. Believe me, I know massages. I have been with Karo for over 10 years and everytime I experience a healing. Not only does he have healing hands, but he knows the body and always goes straight to where my body needs the work without even telling him. I suggest Karo 1000% if you are looking for a masseuse. He's the BEST!!!!!!!! read more

As part of my goal to take better care of myself and relieve stress, I was given a referral to Karo by my dentist. His practice is housed in a unpretentious building, and equally simple chiropractic office. Karo works wonders, especially for someone like me (wound up like a mechanical doll, even on my best days!). It's good to budget two hours for a session, because Karo doesn't do wimpy work. After lying on the table, with the lights lowered, soothing music wafting from the iPod player, and inhaling the aromatic oils as I got the knots kneaded out of my muscles, I felt almost altered consciousness. I will definitely be a steady client. read more

Karo is a massage genius! Seriously, I've had a LOT of massages over the years and Karo is, hands down, the best of the best. To call him thorough would be an understatement - he finds every nook and cranny, every tight spot - and does not move on until he's worked out every knot or tight muscle. His sessions are long and pretty intense (but in a good way) and leave me in an altered state. You will not find a more capable practitioner or more reasonable price anywhere!! Go see him - you'll be glad you did :-) read more

uhhhh... i feel SO MUCH BETTER. thank you so much yelpers for leading me to Karo. because i think he tends to take referrals mostly and without this website I wouldnt have found him. His hours are so flexible, I went in at 8am today and I street pakred so used up all my quarters for 1.5 hours, but lo and behold there is a PARKING lot. he was kind enough to tell me hey move your car in case i run over 1 hr and 15 mins. which he did. :D The massage was AWESOME. back shoulders legs neck the whole works. he was really friendly and I didnt feel uncomfortable at all. sigh if only it lasted longer.. shoulders are still sore but i think that is inevitable. If i can afford him once a month i will bite the bullet and do it, no more eating out for me.. its SO worth it. read more

I found Karo via Yelp and found him to have very high ratings. I had kinks on my neck and shoulders which were painful and giving me a headache. All thanks to my desk job. I had gotten a massage at a chain spa a week before but it did not resolve the problem. I decided to try Karo and I did not regret it! You come come to Karo not for a spa massage but for therapy. He can make you relax and boy does he work on those kinks! He can tell the problem spot right in the first minute. He even knew the kink was giving me a headache without me telling him. A nice sweet man. I only booked for the 1 hr. And 15 min. massage but he went ahead and gave me 1 hr. 30 minutes because my body needed it. He only charged me for the time I booked. I am definitely giving up the chain massage places and will be a loyal customer here! Believe me, he is worth the $$. read more

Wow.. Karo is a massage genius. He has a true passion for what he does and unlike other masseuses (sp?) is not just running through the motions. He really knows his stuff and has what I think is a "magic touch." He can feel all your knots and takes time to open them each up one by one!! I have referred all my friends and family to him and everyone is very happy. This is the real thing! read more

I have been going to karo for over 10 years now and he is amazing. I get massages everywhere from Vegas to la no one an even come close to this guy. My massage was unbelievably good and Mr. Karos was kind and EXTREMELY generous with his time I was skeptical about all of the positive reviews but truly, he's that good. Don't hesitate to make an appointment. I've never slept better and can't wait to go back. read more

I tried Karo out based on the Yelp reviews. I am a stressed out executive who also loves short course triathlons and playing squash. Needless to say, I have a lot of tight spots. Karo listened to what I wanted (therapeutic "aka not relaxing" sports massage) as well as listened to what my body could take. He was very diligent in trying to work all the kinks out. I've seen him twice so far and hope to return again soon. read more

The massages were great, and an incredibly good deal! Also he was very nice, and it was a relaxing environment. Will definitely come back.

Only the second Yelp review i've ever written, but felt compelled to write this one. Karo is kind, polite, very professional, knowledgable, talented and gave the best therapeutic massage I have ever had. Ever. I've had chronic low back, shoulder/neck and sciatic pain issues as well as swelling of my fingers/joints. Karo was thorough and even went over the 1.5 hour massage I had booked, without charging me more. I normally don't feel immediate relief after a massage, but 24 hours later, I do feel better. Karo gives a real massage versus a cushy spa-like one. I will be back regularly. Thank you Karo! read more

Karo is awesome! It has been soo long since I've had a massage that detailed. He knows the body well, is perceptive and executed his movements in line with what each muscle needed. It hurt just enough...never more than I could bare. I'm sure that I learned a thing or two from him. As I said to him upon leaving, I'll definitely be back. read more

Karo! If you want the best massage you ever had you absolutely have to go and see Karo. I have been getting massages from Karo for 12 years and I refuse to go to anyone else. Once you've found what you're looking for you will know that you won't need to look elsewhere. I was referred to him by a fellow stuntwoman who got hurt doing a stunt on a motorcycle. She mentioned that Karo was able to get her back on her feet and working again within 3 weeks. I said to her "That's my kinda guy" and from since then I have been getting my massages from Karo. The room is nicely dim, the music very soothing and relaxing. Oh Yeah! and those amazing hot towels he places on you after the massage is heaven. When I leave, I am so energized so much so that I feel as though I can take on anything however, Karo recommends that you don't do anything after a massage. He says "just go home and take a warm not hot shower and relax for the remainder of the night. So remember to take Karo's advice after you next massage. He won't steer you wrong. Karo, you're the best. read more

This man's hands are a gift to humanity (plus he is a VERY nice guy who really cares about making you better)! The minute he starts working on you, he knows exactly where your problems are (even if you don't). He explained (and I wholeheartedly agree) that you should have nothing less than a 2 hour massage. I had a deep (and I do mean DEEP) tissue massage (which is NOT for everybody). He works out your knots like nobody's business. If you want a spa massage or to be pampered or hot stoned with aromatherapy, then you need to go elsewhere (and in no way am I knocking those types of massages). I have an AMAZING Thai masseuse whom I see regularly, but she can't hold a candle to Karos. I left with a monthly appointment and a stack of Karos' business cards. He has magic FINGERS I tell you!!! read more

*This is my first Yelp review and I intend to (probably) never write a review again, but I would be incredibly selfish if I didn't share the absolutely magical Karo with the world!!!* I was falling apart and he put me back together. I push my body to the limit when I exercise and I work out very frequently. Every muscle was overworked and he was able to help me leave his office, walking instead of miserably shuffling with a locked back. Karo was able to assess the issues immediately upon talking to me. He's professional, intelligent and damn good at his job, not to mention the gentlest soul. Don't be a fool, go to Karo. read more

Karos is an incredibly skilled therapeutic massage physician. My hot spots were expertly handled - problem pains I've had for years, from my shoulder to an old climbing injury. Thank you for being such a wonderful and gracious therapist - I highly recommend if you need a deep tissue above and beyond the everyday Thai massage! read more
