Karo is very professional and always addresses all my issues. He is amazing at honing in in specific issues and treating problem areas. I suffer from tension in my upper body, sciatica, and headaches. Whenever I arrive my muscles are usually incredibly tense, and when I leave I have much more movement, flexibility, and noticeable reduction in tension and pain. I went to Dr. Karo for an hour and 15 min massage. He ended up giving me a 2 1/2 hour massage because of how tense I was and only charged me the price of what I originally came for. He talked me through the process and was very in tune to what my body needed. He was attentive and told me to take it very easy the next couple days. If you're as stressed out as I am and in need of a doctor that will know exactly what your body needs, this is the guy. He is amazing and I highly recommend. read more

Had an overall good experience here. Was nice change of pace to go to an actual massage therapist instead of a chain spot that just tries to get as many people through as possible. Within 30 seconds of starting, Karo had identified all of the spots on me that needed work and got to it. Felt much better and looser at the end. Pricing is good, and he does a 75 minute massage for the same cost or less than what most places charge for a 60 minute massage. Only one thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars. I have a hard time relaxing certain parts of my body sometimes when I get a massage. He would tell me to relax, but had to do that several times, and I think started to get a little frustrated when I didn't relax those muscles. The more times he would tell me to relax, I would have a hard time doing so since I was starting to feel pressured and would tense up. Does not have the most soothing voice. It can be so disappointing some times when you go to get a massage. You're always praying and hoping that the next massage therapist will be better but more times then not their average or just below avg. I am all to familiar with this feeling as I get at least one massage a month. I am SUPER excited though that I found Karo on my first round here in Glendale. He has been a massage therapist for 35 years and his knowledge and skill set speak for his tenure. I explained to him the discomforts I was feeling and he listened and asked questions to better understand. Then once I was on the table he went to work. I went in for $65 for an hour and 15 minute deep tissue massage. First of all, you can't beat that price. On average a 1 hr deep tissue costs $85 so enough said. From beginning to end he used the right amount of pressure and knew exactly where to massage. I was able to seriously lay there and relax. He needed zero guidance or suggestion for pressure or areas to work on. Its like his hands were reading my body. He's super nice and if his time permits if there is a part of your body that needs more work he might just do it for free. Since it was my first time he took a little more time and even gave me a free foot scrub after my massage. All in all, Karo is a very talented massage therapist and you would be missing out if you chose to go else where. I am going to be one of his new regular clients. I have been getting Karo's amazing massages for a few years now. I've told so many people about him healing hands. I usually get a 90 or 120 minute massage and I feel like I lost 50 pounds when I stand after he's done. It's amazing how he loosens the tension in muscles you never knew you had. Karo is truly amazing! I finally found a great human individual that actually cares for his patients and customers. I've been having L4 (lower back) problems since 2009, which unfortunately comes and goes. It got really bad these past two months, to a point we're I have problems to sleep at night. After one treatment with Karo, I literally feel like the previous reviews say: LIKE A NEW HUMAN being. He explained what was wrong with me, why it was like that, what to do to prevent it (small things that my conscious wasn't aware of). My muscles was more than tense, and it was a little painful, but it's well worth it. I have been going to Karo for over 15 years. He is an amazing massage therapist! A friend of mine recommend him to me and I owe her big time. I have seen numerous of massage therapist but none of them are even 1/2 as good as he is. I think what makes him a great massage therapist is he has over 20 years of experience and he listens to his clients. His practice is housed in a unpretentious building, and equally simple chiropractic office. I found Karo via Yelp and found him to have very high ratings. I had kinks on my neck and shoulders which were painful and giving me a headache. All thanks to my desk job. I had gotten a massage at a chain spa a week before but it did not resolve the problem. I decided to try Karo and I did not regret it! You come come to Karo not for a spa massage but for therapy. He can make you relax and boy does he work on those kinks! He can tell the problem spot right in the first minute. He even knew the kink was giving me a headache without me telling him. A nice sweet man. I only booked for the 1 hr. And 15 min. massage but he went ahead and gave me 1 hr. 30 minutes because my body needed it. He only charged me for the time I booked. Karo is kind, polite, very professional, knowledgable, talented and gave the best therapeutic massage I have ever had. Ever. I've had chronic low back, shoulder/neck and sciatic pain issues as well as swelling of my fingers/joints. Karo was thorough and even went over the 1.5 hour massage I had booked, without charging me more. I normally don't feel immediate relief after a massage, but 24 hours later, I do feel better. Karo! If you want the best massage you ever had you absolutely have to go and see Karo. I have been getting massages from Karo for 12 years and I refuse to go to anyone else. Once you've found what you're looking for you will know that you won't need to look elsewhere. I was referred to him by a fellow stuntwoman who got hurt doing a stunt on a motorcycle. She mentioned that Karo was able to get her back on her feet and working again within 3 weeks. I said to her "That's my kinda guy" and from since then I have been getting my massages from Karo. The room is nicely dim, the music very soothing and relaxing. Oh Yeah! and those amazing hot towels he places on you after the massage is heaven. When I leave, I am so energized so much so that I feel as though I can take on anything however, Karo recommends that you don't do anything after a massage. He says "just go home and take a warm not hot shower and relax for the remainder of the night. So remember to take Karo's advice after you next massage. He won't steer you wrong. This man's hands are a gift to humanity (plus he is a VERY nice guy who really cares about making you better)! The minute he starts working on you, he knows exactly where your problems are (even if you don't). He explained (and I wholeheartedly agree) that you should have nothing less than a 2 hour massage. I had a deep (and I do mean DEEP) tissue massage (which is NOT for everybody). He works out your knots like nobody's business. If you want a spa massage or to be pampered or hot stoned with aromatherapy, then you need to go elsewhere (and in no way am I knocking those types of massages). I have an AMAZING Thai masseuse whom I see regularly, but she can't hold a candle to Karos. I left with a monthly appointment and a stack of Karos' business cards. I have been going to Karo for 15 years. I have had the hour massages on cruise ships and hot stones and wraps in nice resorts but none can compare to Karo. He has Magic Hands. He is very professional and is able to take pain away. I have hip pain and before I went and got a cortisone injection he said, "come to me first". My pain was just gone.
