Long overdue review. Decided to treat myself to some body work today for my birthday a few months ago. I found NuBalance on Groupon and the prices couldn't be beat. I called and made an appt that morning and explained I had a Groupon, etc. The booking process was as smooth as it gets. Grigor introduced himself during that conversation and we kept in contact throughout the process. I texted him and let him know I was lost upon arrival (I went to the wrong side of the building- not his fault, the building is set up oddly), and he was nice enough to come get me downstairs. As for the services provided, I couldn't recommend him more. I got a deep tissue massage and cupping done- I felt great afterwards. Grigor was able to fit me in last minute for a much needed Deep-Tissue session for some Sciatic pain I was having, and DANG, did he get to it. He worked meticulously along the different points of connections for nerves and muscles and all that and let me tell you -- no knot was safe, man! I had my first session with Grigor yesterday and I can feel a difference the next day. He added extra time for me because it was my birthday yesterday which I thought was so thoughtful. I got a deep tissue massage and his technique, intuition, and the amount of pressure he uses were exactly what I needed. He's very respectful, attentive, and ensures his clients are comfortable throughout the entire session. As someone who was a little nervous since it was my first time, I truly appreciated his calm and professional presence. The photos you see online of his suite match what you experience in person -- it's clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The sheets were fresh, there's a designated area to hang your clothing, and before we began, we discussed my goals and what I was hoping to achieve from the session. During the massage he plays soothing music, I appreciated that when he worked on specific areas, he took care to wipe away excess oils when he was done, and the towels he used were very warm -- such a nice touch. Personally, I got chilly easily, so maybe a heater could be optional, but otherwise he was attentive about keeping me covered and ensuring my limbs were properly tucked within the sheets as he moved from each area. Those small gestures really stood out. That said, I was hesitant whether to share some concerns I had, but I went ahead and did share some constructive feedback with him afterwards. Because massage work involves being in such close proximity to each other, personal hygiene is very important, and because I'm very sensitive to scents around me, I noticed an issue with body odor during our session that made me a bit uncomfortable. I mentioned this to him directly when we spoke -- not to criticize or offend, but because I really value his hustle and skill and I want to see him win. Most of all, I didn't want that one thing to cancel out all the positive things he has to offer because I value his passion for healing that much. What stood out most to me was how incredibly professional Grigor was in receiving my feedback. He didn't become defensive or dismissive, but instead he thanked me for being honest, transparent, and direct in explaining that to him. He was very apologetic, stated he is actively working on it, and expressed genuine appreciation. In fact, I wasn't going to post this review at all, but he suggested and encouraged me to do so. It's still early in working with Grigor, but it's clear he is skilled at what he does and takes pride in helping his clients feel better. Well, I thought I'd had a therapeutic massage before but now that I've been to NuBalance I know those years of massages in NYC and LA were bandaids to my pain while this massage felt like a path to true healing. This massage is not for the faint of heart and a breath work practice helps because this is really deep therapy. Well, the day came and she got her massage. We got an hour long massage. My wife went in the door at 3:50, and it opened back up again at 5:15. Holy crap that's value. And the massage? According to my wife, one of the best she's had in her life. Pricing is SUPER reasonable too. And it's a cinch to book a spot on his app. And Grigor is just a good guy too. You can tell he cares about his clients. I work nearby his office and he's come by a couple times just to ask how my wife is doing. You're not going to find a better massage value in the area. He is super skilled, put my wife into a near trance-like state of relaxation, and really helped her with some trouble points she has had. I highly recommend Nubalance. My mom has had two neck surgeries and isn't able to get chiropractic adjustments, so she often deals with a lot of built-up pressure in her neck.
