I got the best massage today. I have been to Thailand and got massages in their most expensive to cheapest shops and today's Deep Tissue Thai massage was the best. This place is super clean, the girl who answered the phone spoke perfect English. Called at 1pm got app at 2pm. The masseuse, Im probably messing up her name Ohya( sorry if I got your name wrong)but she destroyed my body. First time in my life, after years of getting massages, finally someone who actually understood me, when I asked them to focus on my calves and actually go HAM. Oh Lawddd, she hit every knot in my calves. It was so painful but exactly what I wanted and needed. She is incredible and this is my new place. Can't wait to go back. 100$ for 90 min deep tissue massage that actually does deep tissue is perfect. Don't forget to tip. read more

I have to preface this by saying I am not familiar with Thai massages or their logic. Nor do I understand why. Why would anyone subject themselves to an hour or more of horrifying pain? I don't know what giving birth, having my finger nails pulled from my fingers, forced amputation of body parts or being lit on fire feel like...but I know what a Thai massage feels like. It feels worse. Everytime I thought I would actually feel a massage, the torture got worse. Everytime they started on new body parts, the torture got worse. Asking for less pressure or any expression of pain resulted in worse pain. I can't give this one star because it might be the greatest Thai massage in the world, but I wouldn't know it because it was my first Thai massage. I also can't give this more than three stars because it's just pain. An hour of endurance of pain on pressure points, spines, joints, muscles and the grinding of elbows on bones. God help you if they find a knot, because they will not stop attacking it, without any mercy, until they get that knot or you fall off the table with seizures. But the hot rocks felt really nice. Until they started the Thai massage again. Then the rocks came crashing down on the floor, along with my hopes of relaxation and tranquility. The horror and pain returned with a vengeance, this time on my legs. Then my hands. And then they remembered the knot in my shoulder, and for the 4th time, they attacked it, like my knot was Poland in 1939 and they were the German Wehrmacht, bent on deadly merciless conquest. In conclusion Thai massages are not for me. read more

Came in for a couples massage with my wife. I prefer very firm massages and I find it hard to find a place that goes as firm as what I like. It was a very good deep tissue massage that included them stepping on my back! I feel very relaxed after their massage. My wife and I will come back again! read more

The staff at Descanso Massage were friendly and professional, and very accommodating towards me and my boyfriend. I have a leg broken in two places, so it's not easy getting around, and boy, all my other limbs were sure sore from crutches and hopping around! My massage therapist, Sunny, left no knot un-rubbed! Seriously one of the top massages of my life! His technique was masterful, and he worked around my broken leg issue no problem! He hit pressure points and Qi highways long neglected and now resurrected! Hope to go back again!! read more

Great atmosphere, very calming and clean. They have wonderful candies in the lobby that I think are melon.

Such an amazing experience! Truly authentic Thai massage that left me deeply relaxed and refreshed, will definitely return. read more

Came in for a 60 min Swedish massage + cupping with Nancy. She was incredible. Wasn't overly priced either. I'll be back.

This place is amazing! I felt so much better after my massage with Nancy. I had back and shoulder pain, and she was really good at targeting the exact spots that hurt. I felt so relaxed afterward--her hands are so good that I even fell asleep during the massage! She also did some great stretches. I chose the Thai combo, and it was perfect. Highly recommend this Place. read more

I was convinced by the lady who answered the phone to get a deep tissue massage and paid over $100 for a truly amateur massage. I had to constantly ask my masseuse to apply extra pressure, and frankly, it was still not strong AT ALL. Truly frustrating experience, and I feel like I got scammed to pay more for one of the of the worst massages I have ever had. I will not be coming back. read more

Pam and April were very good! Highly recommend them. My boyfriend and I got 1 hr massage combos and we would definitely be coming back. The place was very relaxing and clean. Thank you! read more

Had the worst massage of my life here with Sunny, who does not listen and nearly broke my back. I had to ask him to leave halfway through because I was in so much pain. I had been going here for years and getting massages with Oy, who was great. They told me they have new management now. They didn't even apologize for the awful massage and I had to repeatedly insist on getting my money back, which they finally agreed to do. Don't go here unless you're seeing Oy. read more

The best massage I have ever gotten. They were able to get us in at 7pm which we loved because not every place is open late (this day they were open until 9pm). We did the 60 minute package 1 which included massage, hot stone, and reflexology. The masseuses were so polite and mindful. 10/10 highly recommend. read more

Great massage and great place. Will come back again for sure. Staff was very nice and very respectful.

Ask for Nancy! I continue to frequent this business because I haven't found a better masseuse.

Came in for a couples deep tissue massage, great service! The staff were very nice. Will come back!

My cousin and I found this gem of a place in Glendale! Staff was very friendly, it was nice and quiet inside & very peaceful. If you want them to target certain areas they will and massage was 11/10. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area :) read more

Very good massage. Feel much better and smell Great! If you look for a massage place must come here!

Deep tissue massage with Nancy was amazing! I like my massages firm and she really delivered. Coming back!!

Amazing massage. I recommend the hot stone with the cupping. The ladies were so nice and so welcoming.

I just had a wonderful experience here! Gina was my masseuse and was so attentive with the right level of pressure. I got the Thai Therapeutic massage with added hot stones and Thai herbal ball -- heavenly! I also added aromatherapy (they have over a dozen scents to choose from) and really enjoyed that added touch. Definitely will be coming back! read more

Got recommended to go here by a couple of people so I had high hopes- even a girl walking out was talking on the phone said it was the best massage she's ever gotten. But that wasn't the case for me unfortunately. They make you pay first, I had requested for the hot oil add on but I didn't get that. And for the massage itself it felt like she was rushing the whole time, I spent more time wishing it was over than actually enjoying and relaxing. read more

One of the worst massage experience I had in Glendale. Unfortunately I left the place in 40 minutes after paying for full hour. The masseuse was constantly burping while massaging, and had no clue what she was doing. read more

Love the vibe! The masseurs were all friendly and great at what they do! Truly a meditative experience. Bring cash for $5 off, but they offer card payment too. read more

I'm so disappointed. I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years. They've changed ownership recently, and the quality of massages and service has changed. I booked a massage with my regular masseuse and was assigned someone different when I got there. She was very inexperienced and I question if she was even licensed. I basically paid for 60 minutes of someone softly rubbing lotion on me and slowly toweling me off. The massage was uneven and I left still with tension in my back and shoulders. When I asked what happened to my regular masseuse, they said she left early for the day. Sad, but I will not be returning to Descanso Thai massage. They have lost my trust. read more

This massage spot is an absolute Gem! I have been coming to this place for years & I always leave brand new! The manager(lady at the front desk) is a total sweet heart and we got gifted these hand soaps because we came in on a holiday 10/10 recommend. read more

I been coming here to get massage for 7-8 years now and it never disappoints me. It's relaxing and clean. The rooms are quiet with relaxing zen Thai water sound music. Staff are friendly and the massage is one of the best. They always make sure it's strong enough and you like it. Definitely my favourite massage place, easy to make appt and cash only. read more

I have come here a few times, and each time has been excellent! I'm not sure what the bad reviews are about... I went in today at 1:30 for an hour full body massage with Ta, I believe that's her name. She was absolutely amazing! I told her my problem area and she spent a good amount of time working through my severely knotted shoulder. She didn't do it too hard but also not too soft, it was the perfect amount. Once you're done, they give you some candy and water and you go about your day. I absolutely love it here! read more

Very peaceful location, the scents smell good, the running water was relaxing, and my deep tissue was the perfect pressure!

Great massage! Appreciate that they used icy hot type oil or lotion on the muscles that were tight and required extra hard work. 55$ cash up front for an hour. The massage area is semi - private with a curtain that left some space on either side. A teeny bit awkward since they requested full nude. read more

Service was great and relaxing. Oy did an amazing job. It was my first time and I will definitely be going back.

my favorite massage place is an absolute gem! It's not just clean; it's sparkling clean, and the atmosphere is so inviting. The staff there are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Oh my goodness! They're like a little slice of heaven. Each visit leaves me feeling so incredibly nice and relaxed. If you haven't been here yet, you're seriously missing out!" read more

I came here for the good reviews...appointment was easy to book but they take cash only so I had to swing by an ATM. Booked 1 hour Thai massage, but they didn't walk on my back. Felt just like a oil massage. I was a bit confused and a bit disappointed. read more

The quality of service was excellent that I had gone two days in a row which was a great way to end the year 2023! The place was clean and the employees were very polite. The price was reasonable. Would definitely come back here in the future. read more

Pha the Manager is the best! With perfect memory! She'll remember you and what you prefer even after a 3 year absence The place is clean And the ambiance so relaxing But the best of all - the massage is fantastic! You will feel refreshed and relaxed after. These ladies are tough or gentle whatever you prefer. They also know what they are doing and what you need. They can rival more professional massage therapists from fancy places. And yes. - free bottle of water and banana read more

Great Thai massage. The staff here is super nice and actually want to help you feel better. They gave me tips and stretches to do for my back. Good people work here! Ain't no funny business here! So for you perverts out there "looking for a good time" STAY AWAY! Cash Only so remember to stop by the ATM. It's in a strip mall on the 2nd floor to your left and the area is on the run down south end of Glendale. Lower rent=lower price They are closed on Mondays. They offer water, chocolates and bananas at the end. Super cute place. read more

Use to be good but not anymore Was there yesterday. And told the lady where my pain was and she was just stanig on my legs and not even used here hands or elbows . Asking her again to focus on the problem area she ignored again . It's not thai massage it's a total waste of money and time . Will not return read more

Great place with good massage. Early bird price is $35. I never been on Thai massage before and I am glad I choose Swedish massage because I am jogging all the time and I need Combo or relax and massage. Was so relaxing the whole body massage is a thing. Definitely will be back read more

Could not beat the price! $35 for early bid 60 min massage. The massage was very good the lady worked very hard trying to unknot my entire body. The place was reasonably clean. The ladies barely know English, the oils they use is very cheap and the place is not fancy. But for the price you pay you get more than what is expected. My only complaint is that they did not bother to ask me if I have any injuries or restrictions before getting starting and twisting and relaxing my muscles. I think it is very crucial to ask someone if they have any injuries or restrictions before stretching and pulling. Btw I had to tell them many times to not be so hard so you don't have to worry you about not getting a deep tissue massage, the ladies are strong and do a great job! I will be back! Especially because they accommodated my friend and I in a "couples massage room" where we felt more comfortable being with each other. read more
