This place is super clean, the girl who answered the phone spoke perfect English. Called at 1pm got app at 2pm. The masseuse, Im probably messing up her name Ohya( sorry if I got your name wrong)but she destroyed my body. First time in my life, after years of getting massages, finally someone who actually understood me, when I asked them to focus on my calves and actually go HAM. Oh Lawddd, she hit every knot in my calves. It was so painful but exactly what I wanted and needed. She is incredible and this is my new place. I have to preface this by saying I am not familiar with Thai massages or their logic. Nor do I understand why. Why would anyone subject themselves to an hour or more of horrifying pain? I don't know what giving birth, having my finger nails pulled from my fingers, forced amputation of body parts or being lit on fire feel like...but I know what a Thai massage feels like. It feels worse. Everytime I thought I would actually feel a massage, the torture got worse. Everytime they started on new body parts, the torture got worse. Asking for less pressure or any expression of pain resulted in worse pain. I can't give this one star because it might be the greatest Thai massage in the world, but I wouldn't know it because it was my first Thai massage. I also can't give this more than three stars because it's just pain. An hour of endurance of pain on pressure points, spines, joints, muscles and the grinding of elbows on bones. God help you if they find a knot, because they will not stop attacking it, without any mercy, until they get that knot or you fall off the table with seizures. But the hot rocks felt really nice. Until they started the Thai massage again. Then the rocks came crashing down on the floor, along with my hopes of relaxation and tranquility. The horror and pain returned with a vengeance, this time on my legs. Then my hands. And then they remembered the knot in my shoulder, and for the 4th time, they attacked it, like my knot was Poland in 1939 and they were the German Wehrmacht, bent on deadly merciless conquest. I have a leg broken in two places, so it's not easy getting around, and boy, all my other limbs were sure sore from crutches and hopping around! My massage therapist, Sunny, left no knot un-rubbed! I had to constantly ask my masseuse to apply extra pressure, and frankly, it was still not strong AT ALL. I'm so disappointed. I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years. They've changed ownership recently, and the quality of massages and service has changed. I booked a massage with my regular masseuse and was assigned someone different when I got there. She was very inexperienced and I question if she was even licensed. I basically paid for 60 minutes of someone softly rubbing lotion on me and slowly toweling me off. The massage was uneven and I left still with tension in my back and shoulders. When I asked what happened to my regular masseuse, they said she left early for the day. Sad, but I will not be returning to Descanso Thai massage. They have lost my trust. read more

I went in today at 1:30 for an hour full body massage with Ta, I believe that's her name. She was absolutely amazing! I told her my problem area and she spent a good amount of time working through my severely knotted shoulder. She didn't do it too hard but also not too soft, it was the perfect amount.
