I had the best massage I've had in a long time at Massage 4 U! I am a massage regular and it was simply amazing. Just the right amount of pressure and was just so darn relaxing. I loved it. She hit spots others have missed and didn't dig across bones like some places do making it painfu. It was just perfect. My masseuse was awesome so I tipped $30. But as a rule of thumb, Fine = $20 Good = $25 Great = $30 If you're tipping $10 on a $60 massage, that is simply not enough, even for an average massage. You wouldn't tip that at a restaurant so you definitely shouldn't be tipping that at a service where they worked really hard like manual labor, hands massaging your naked body for an hour. That's nutso. Biggest issue here is the parking. It's hard to find street parking, but it is free. Second issue, it is so darn cold. I'm weak with coldness but my fingers and toes were tiny icicles. I could use a little more heat. But as I said, this was the best massage I've had in ages so all is forgiven, lol! read more

Please note that the individual picking up the phone to take the reservation might sound unpolished. Nonetheless, the deep tissue massage given, is unmatched to any place I have been to. The aforementioned service costs $60 / Hour plus a $20 - $30 Tip, which is amazingly cost-effective. The masseuses who have provided service have been very friendly and polite and most important are able to provide a strong deep tissue massage. If you're looking for a no-frills massage at a semi-reasonable price, at basically any hour of the day, this is your place...Not my first choice, personally. The facility is very basic, and if they have an air conditioner it either doesn't work very well, or the insulation of the building must not be very good (it was quite warm in the massage room, even though I had disrobed and was under a light sheet). Additionally, the building has no noise insulation at all, so you can hear the street noise from inside the first massage room. I was made to pay before my massage, which I don't appreciate at all. I want to experience the masseur's services before I decide how much to tip. NOTE: if you're paying by card they charge a $2 processing fee. Staff was polite, but not very warm or personable; I think they might only speak minimal English. I got the "VIP Custom Body Massage Package" for $59.99, advertised on their website and pictured below. It felt like my therapist was either rushing, or I picked the wrong massage type...I was not given an opportunity to tell her what I wanted. Ok, I have been here 4 times and I will never go back. The first 2 times were. The third was subpar at best. This last times was was simply unacceptable. First of all, I'm not a fan of their pricing model. It's a dollar a minute regardless of duration. Most places discount a little as the duration increases but not here. 30 minutes is $30, 60 minutes is $60, and 90 minutes is $90. PLUS, if you want an adding it's either $10 or $20 more. But that's a minor grievance in the grand scheme of things. Ok, now for my latest massage... I had a really laborious day and my whole body ached so I decided to treat myself and get a 90 minutes massage. The lady asked it i wanted medium or hard pressure. I said hard but it was barely medium throughout. Next, she kept trying to upsell me on overpriced add-ons before and DURING the massage!!! Also, the lady left the room no less than 5 times for over 2 or 3 minutes each!!! At the beginning of the massage, I notified her that I had a shoulder injury. She didn't seem to pay me any heed because later in the massage she rotated my shoulder in a direction it didn't want to go and caused severe pain. She offered to put pain relief "mayonnaise" on it to help soothe the pain and then said that'll be an extra $10. By the time I was done, I decided I would never return. I kept debating how much I wanted to leave for tip. Despite my inclination to leave $10 I decided to be generous and leave $15 even though she was rude and hurt me. But the best part was yet to come. When she saw me right $15 on the reciept, she literally laughed and said, for $90 you need to leave 20%, so $20. I was livid! I find it funny that she didnt have trouble rounding down my 90 minute massage to less than 80 minutes. But then wanted a 20% tip of $90 which she was fine rounding up to $20 instead of $18. After the fact I realized the same lady gave me the third and routh massages. She is also the receptionist so every time someone walks in, she leaves to sell them a service. You have been warned. Get your massage somewhere else. read more
