Always reliable. Super nice. Get a deep tissue, they'll go deep. Plus love that you can get a last minute appt

I wanted to love this massage (and based on the reviews, thought I would), but I have been in so much pain since coming here two days ago. The massage was way, way too much pressure and when I asked for less pressure I was told "no pain no gain" as the therapist chuckled lightly. I tried to push through the discomfort but it was a huge mistake and in hindsight I should have walked out. Another big issue I had is that I specifically told the front desk person and the massage therapist I needed most attention on the right side of my neck. Yet over the course of a ninety minute massage, my neck was only dealt with for the final ten minutes, so besides my back and knee hurting really bad for the past two days, my neck pain has seen no improvement at all. Really, really disappointed and will not be returning. read more

Omg this massage was so good I had to write a review while waiting for my friend to finish his massage I highly recommend going and asking for Sunny, though if she's busy you can ask for anyone else and I'm sure they will do a wonderful job! The place has a small parking lot and though from the outside can look a little wonky (for lack of a better word), it's super clean, everything smells great, and the employees are so kind. I asked for the Swedish combo massage and it was the perfect perfect amount of pressure! read more

AMAZING!!!! Absolutely worth every penny for couples thai combo massage 1hour was enough! I left feeling so relaxed and that feeling last 2 days!!! Definitely going back!!!!! Btw super clean and professional read more

The prices are great and so are the massages and the staff. I had some pretty bad neck pain and they were able to help me get rid of it.

I went here for 6 years while I lived in Los Angeles and they would fix my tech neck/ neck tension every time. The staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful and I still make a point to come back here when I travel to La for work Make this your regular treat to yourself! So worth it! read more

Consistently good, well-priced massage with the great & friendly Alice running the front desk.

My friend came here last Saturday and she recommended me the place for the massage service. You should definitely get a massage with New, she is the best!!! She fixed my shoulder pain. She's so sweet and I'll be coming back soon! read more

First time here and had a great experience. Lily hit every sore muscle in my body practically. Lovely friendly welcome at the front desk too. read more

I have been going to this place for the last 3 years, never disappointed Love their massages and how friendly the staff is.

Oh man I am in pain. Went yesterday for a massage I asked to focus on my shoulders and my calfs ... she walk over my back (as they do) and really push hard on the center of my spine and I am in real pain today I barley can move. She did not touch my calfs at all. I asked her to do it and she just laugh and did not understand what I was saying. I used to go there but this time they really mess me up. read more

Great massage, but the combo massage doesn't include getting stepped on. It was not fully one hour either but the massage was really good so I rounded my 4.5 stars to 5 read more

I've been going here for 10 years and it's always been my favorite Thai massage in LA. The staff are all really nice, the space is calming and clean. The masseurs are super intuitive and I always leave feeling so much better. read more

Great clean massage spa that offers different types of massages besides Thai massage. The most common one is the Thai swedish spa. They do have bars on the top for the masseuse to help assist with walking on your back. A regular Thai massage doesn't use oil so I picked the combo. The massage was very nice and comfortable. Just the right amount of pressure. Their rooms are covered with just a curtain but everyone seems a respectful of keeping their voice quiet and low. They have a heating pad in the mattress that's nice and warm without making it too hot. Overall, great place for a nice massage. A bonus is that they do take credit cards. They do have a early bird special for a discounted price of massage, but it's cash only. It's from 10am to 2pm on Monday to Thursday. They offer gift certificates too. Parking- free and available in a shared plaza Appointments - available but also walk-in welcomed read more

I've had better for the price/quality. My joints ached. I needed to palliate the black and blue from a 26 mile dash around the same date. Normally, I patronize some other place , but I was local and their prices were comparable . So what the heck? I got a sports massage. 90 minutes. And with this particular parlor, anything beyond 60 minutes is superfluous . Strengths: the reverse side. The masseuse did an okay job on my legs, neck, shoulders, face/temple. Time spent was succinct, and quick to the point; targeting the critical joints. The masseuse went from a wiping motion to pressing motion and applied a good amount of pressure to tenderize my muscles/nerves. Weaknesses: the masseuse spent the majority of the time on my back. The motions were overall repetitive wiping fashion broad strokes instead of smaller precise ones. It was dull and did nothing for me accept make me want to end the massage prematurely. The masseuse has a breathing tick that made it hard to relax. And yes, I know she cannot help it, but at the same time, I cannot help but hear it. Annoying: front desk asked for a bigger tip. I gave $10 on an 85 as I didn't think it was that good. I bumped it to $15, but let this two-star be a stern reminder to the receptionist never to do that again! It's inappropriate ! read more

Absolutely LOVE this spa. The team is so friendly and professional. They expertly stretch and massage getting all the right spots. Felt like butter when I left! Will definitely be coming back. read more

Hillhurst Thai Spa - Massage Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I had gone to The Raven to get a massage earlier today and it sucked so much that I felt like I had to go somewhere else. I had a bad knot in between my shoulders I wanted worked on. Tanya (or Tonya) was absolutely amazing and so strong but not painful! You could tell she wasn't in a rush and cared about your body. She was super sweet. For like $75 all in all for an hour massage? 10/10 would recommend and will come back. read more

Rude staff questioning patrons of the shopping center. I had just left eating from the Pho place and was getting something from my car when the very rude lady ran out of the spot and began questioning me and my sister where we where going and why we were parked there. It's like she was waiting for us to show up. As we left back to see if the donut shop was open she was simply waiting near our car hoping to catch us leave and call a tow truck. This being absolutely none of her business, then she let us know that this parking was only for patrons, which we were. How extremely rude and disgusting behavior. read more

Probably the worst massage I've ever had, and I've had hundreds from all around the world. I asked for a one hour deep tissue massage instead, I got a mediocre, weak pressured massage. After asking her to go more firm, twice, I was ignored. She also slathered me with Tiger Balm, which stings and smells, and I did not ask for it. What massage place even does this??? I'm guessing because she just didn't want to put in the work, so she chose to offset the muscle tension with Tiger Balm, and I HATE TIGER BALM!! So disappointing. I walked out after 20 minutes, and they still charged me!! Beware people! Do NOT go here. Never again. read more

I normally have my Facebook because of Covid and everything has been sent that and I have been stranded trying to find a new place. This place was right by my job and I thought "what the heck I'm desperate and I need something". I called the place and they seemed friendly enough they said it was about $60 for an hour if I'm not mistaken so I came in, and the place was pretty empty. What I didn't notice however though is that the Front desk seemed really genuine and nice. I got my masseuse and she took me to the back. At first, I'm not gonna lie I wasn't that impressed. Again, homegirl went ALL IN! She literally gotten to every nook and cranny and she told me I had a knot the size of a golf ball on my right trap she said basically it's probably one of the biggest she's ever seen. And then she proceeded to break it up. It was painful, but very necessary and very therapeutic. I've always had people rub the knot a little bit and keep pushing but she got in there like swimwear. Elbows, knees, and EVERYTHING. We laughed and joked and even though massage is supposed to typically be quiet I don't mind it. I love this place and I will definitely go again. P.s. I just called to make another appointment as things are open and as soon as I talk to front lady my name she remembered me and exactly when I came how I don't know as my name is very unique but yeah A+ for customer service. I can't wait to go back read more

Massage: I might not have returned for a second massage anyway - didn't cover both sides evenly and there were moments of rough technique (I'm not talking about strong pressure) that could have caused injury like other reviewers experienced. Service: the reason I personally will never return here is because the receptionist very pleasantly asked if I would increase my tip from 18% to 27%. read more

What a gem I have found, and the technician Nadia, is the best. She is very attentive, very professional and experienced. She knows where to put pressure at times and she knows when not to put pressure at times One of the best massages I've had in a long time, actually probably the best massage that I've had ever. Very clean place the staff is so friendly and kind. The rooms are up to date and everything looks and smells lovely. Highly recommended. read more

Hillhurst Thai Spa - Massage Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Great massage worth every penny!! My shoulders are better thank you! Super nice staff and convenient location ! Thank you love it!

I have always loved a massage, but Hillhurst Thai Spa has turned massages from a rare treat into a regular practice for me. It is clean, has a nice ambiance, it is easy to make an appointment short-notice, and the massages are truly something to rave about. Before your massage, you are given the opportunity to identify an area that you want your masseuse to focus on, which I appreciate! I have used it as an opportunity to both have an area of focus, and an area I've wanted avoided during the massage. One time that I specified an area of injury, and the massage therapist offered some soft treatment with some (peppermint? eucalyptus?) oil that was truly heavenly, and she consistently encouraged me to stop her if it was too much on the injury. I wish I could say by name any of the ladies that I have had, but they are truly all so good. I have always felt like the hour massage has been well spent, usually finished off with some good stretches, and I leave feeling somehow both rejuvenated and both ready to go to sleep!. Honestly, writing this review right now has me wanting to visit again! read more

Terrific no-frills massage! Was very sore and got a deep-tissue massage from Nadia, who gave it her absolutely best. Professional and clean with an excellent receptionist, this place is affordable and reliable with an excellent service. read more

Ria is one of the best Thai massage therapists in LA. After trying out 6 other locations in Thai Town and nearby, this is my favorite place. Very friendly and professional staff. Highly recommend! read more

I guess I got a decent massage, but mostly I left my first appointment at Thai Spa feeling...kind of traumatized? For one, the masseuse actually hurt a tendon in my leg. I had to actually stop the massage for a moment to keep her from hurting it even further. So that alone docks the review a couple points. What's worse is that, when I went to mention it to the host at the end of my massage, the response to my injury was, literally, "that's probably because your legs are so tight. You should stretch more!" said with a smile so big I can only describe it as aggressive. So, it was my fault! Thanks guys. But all of that was nothing in comparison to this: the entire time - a full hour - my masseuse's gut was growling LOUDLY. The entire time! So, of course, I'm then forced to spend the whole experience spiraling. Is this person sick? Are they okay? Is it immoral for me to receive a massage from a sick person? What kind of conditions are they working in that they feel compelled to work while they're unhealthy? Are they gonna get ME sick? Is flu season over? You get it. It's impossible to relax in a situation like that, and it definitely doesn't help when they hurt your leg and then gaslight you about it. So yeah, I'm sorry to report that this was a deeply uncomfortable experience. At the same time, the massage was nice. I'd throw in a star if it didn't feel irresponsible. But it does. 1 star! read more

Very nice people and atmosphere. I really enjoyed my massage. As with most massage places they need more padding or cushion around the face.

You want deep tissue massage, they got deep tissue massage. My short & simple key to picking a good Thai massage; if your masseuse is a skinny waif, send her back to the junior varsity squad. Give me the mama-san that can deliver 10+ foot-pounds of pressure while moon walking on your back. With such a welcoming presence from Alice in reception, if I went anywhere else I'd feel like I'm cheating on her. read more

SUPER friendly staff! Alice was extra nice and was very reassuring about the safety precautions in place. The massage was exactly what I needed and it's nice to be able to feel my neck again! I will definitely be back. read more

Gigi did an incredible job and Alice (at the front) is very sweet and accommodating. This place is excellent. Go here!

Inexpensive and very effective massage. The masseurs are pros and really have the ability to heal through massage. Thank you for the amazing experience. I'll be back read more

Great experience got the Thai /Swedish combination. Clean and quiet. Definitely coming back. Ask for Zeyda!

Not memorable but the staff was kind! Didn't love how they time out the massage though. If you arrive at 5:02 and are on the table at 5:07 that comes out of your massage time. Other places use timers. Would want to try the other local spots before returning read more

Great spot for a cheap price massage specially if you check in on yelp to get your $38 60mins massage. Take advantage of it and make sure to leave a tip for the masseuse. read more

Wow. I saw Dan who was amazing. I went in with incredible lower back tightness and shoulder tightness. I didn't guide him specifically to what needed to be addressed because I wanted to get a sense of his technique with the overall body. This is not a light pressure massage, but one that really digs into the muscles. In a lot of ways it felt like an intense (in a good way!) sports massage. Really good. Super strong. And really worth it. read more

They are professional and very attentive. Nice and clean massage place. Even the massage rooms are roomy and very comfortable table. And a plus is now they offering $39 for 60 minutes if you pay cash. Why not! I don't have to wait for early bird special to get massage. read more

I think there may have been a change in ownership... The lobby seems freshly painted. I was asked to pay in advance, including tip. I thought this odd for a place I've been going to for years. My massage was fine. Except, I paid for 90 minutes and at 70 minutes we were "finished". Fascinating system. Not really going to work for me in the future. read more

Was very happy with my masseuse. Very friendly receptionist- who didn't ask for a tip and didn't look to see how big my tip was. This is a much appreciated rarity. For that alone I'd say it's worth a visit. Only down sides are the rooms are more like cubicles with curtains and open ceilings so you can hear people walking and talking and opening doors. Takes away your zen a little. But overall a solid spot! Go try! read more
