Their promotion is 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. I went in at 1:45, chose my type of massage (that I was really looking forward to) went into the room and am in the process of changing when I'm told that they won't honor the discount. I pointed out that it still wasn't even 2:00. And she said that it didn't matter that I would have to pay full price. I asked to understand why and if the signs and the promotion and everything said that it was until 2:00 why they wouldn't honor it and she just said no. Well it's a no from me too. First time ever!!! Never went for a massage and had them end an hour after the time we booked it. We had a 2pm and arrived about 7 minutes after the hour. Then I had to use the toilet. The massage was great but seemed to end abruptly. I said something like "oh wow finished". She said "yes and gave 5 minutes extra". I looked at the clock when was dressing and saw it was 3 minutes after 3pm. Honestly NEVER had that happen anywhere before. There weren't even any other customers waiting. I could understand if they were busy. My wife heard the masseuses speaking to each other in Thai Language. Her masseuse said "we should go until about 3:10" and mine said "no - we finish at 3". We both got the Swedish [$55 for 60 minutes] and added Hot Stone for an extra $10. But the massage felt so dry (I always get the swedish because of the oil), and the massage itself felt like I was being pinched, and my friend almost fell from the bed cos her massage felt like she was being pushed. Not sure I can recommend. My experience was a confusing one and even writing this review I am confused about how to explain my experience. If I had to summarize, by probably halfway through the session, I questioned if I should just leave. When I arrived I asked the receptionist for a deep tissue massage and mentioned stiffness in my neck and shoulders, expecting the masseuse to pay special care to this area. But, my massage was a mix of getting stepped on, lots of stretching, with a focus on my legs. The stepping didn't do anything for me and the stretching I wondered "why?" but now looking at my receipt vs their price list I think this may have been because the receptionist charged me for a Thai or Swedish massage even though I had asked for a deep tissue. Nonetheless it was a bad massage that left me confused in so many ways. If I'm being honest, I think language barriers with the receptionist and masseuse affected my experience as their English was very limited to basic customer service. One of the only saving graces was that they accepted me as a walk in. Still, I will not return and would not recommend. read more

It's a big no. I've been to lots of Thai massage places but this one has nothing to do with it. I had a really old lady doing my massage and it's was really bad. No softness, nothing that reminds you of deep tissue, just clumsy being touched and walked on. She stepped on some parts that were really painful and didn't care if I was ok. They never gave me a form to fill out and they never asked me if I had any issues or parts to work on. Some parts of massage got me feeling super uncomfortable and I wanted to leave. It's funny how she followed me afterwards to make sure I tip her, seems like it's the only thing they really care about. read more

Let me preface I suffer from chronic tension and often get massages so I know what's up. The male masseuse did not seem trained / very experienced and also inappropriate from the way he worked on my back. He was sloppy, didn't have a pattern and focused way too long just stroking me in one area where his hands freely wandered to the point I objected to him and asked him to focus so he moved on. It definitely felt inappropriate as I've never objected before in a massage and was trying to be patient but he consistently would stop actually massaging me and just stroking me softly in an inappropriate way and allowed for him to get close/ graze areas he shouldn't. After objecting he seemed to stop and I felt properly covered for the remainder of time. I was skeptical and thought maybe a misunderstanding. Unfortunately I didn't read the comments and missed an earlier one on the same problem so this sounds like a real issue the facility needs to deal with. I felt confused and still tipped to avoid feeling further awkward and maybe felt gas lit by how nice they were. But I wish I would have never went in. My lower back has also been in pain since then as well which is even more egregious. I'm having to take Advil for it and hope it clears up. read more

I used to get good massages here. Booked a 90 minute combination, and I could tell the moment my Masseause started SCRUBBING me down with a hot towel that this was a mistake. He then poured an extremely excessive amount of oil onto me and proceeded to give me the most uncomfortable and vigorous rub down of my life. I tried to ask for him to do more relaxing strokes but he was not able to. I finally had to ask for him to stop. I felt embarrassed and have never had to do this in a massage before, but I would not have enjoyed this even if it was free. They were able to accommodate switching out my Masseause with a woman who was better, but the vibe was kind of ruined unfortunately. She had to mop all the oil he had dumped on me off with a sheet, and though she was much better aligned with how to give a relaxing massage, it just wasn't an experience that left me wanting to return again. read more

I'd been here many times over the years. This week (during Covid) I came in for another amazing hour long Thai massage to relieve chronic back pain. I was weary of their safety protocol which they assured me by phone was in place before arrival. Upon entry, my temperature was checked, they squirted hand sanitizer on my hands then they had me step onto a pad called "Lily" which then mister my body with a no no fragrance disinfectant. They further assured me that all linens and beds had been disinfected. During the massage, they asked me to keep my mask off when face down, upon turning over they asked that I wear it. Let me just start off by saying I was a regular here. Each time I visited for a massage I left feeling rejuvenated. So after months of me not having one I was soooo looking forward to getting a much needed massage. To my disappointment it was not an enjoyable experience. I don't know if this lady was new or what but she had no clue what she was doing. A chiropractor snapped my neck back into place relieving the pain immediately and then followed it up by one of the top 3 best massages I've ever had at the new Thai place across the street from our clinic. She used hot towels and lavender and rose oils. After addressing my back neck to foot, she flipped me to get my arms, clavicle area, hands, legs and feet. I had heard about this place from my sister who lives in West LA where there is a successful Sawadee. I am extremely picky about massages (I am a monthly member at Burke Williams) which includes quality, cleanliness, ambience, professionalism, etc., but since this place is so close to my home, I decided to try it. Omg! I walked in and it was beautiful!! The decor and design made me feel like I was away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles and on vacation in beautiful Thailand (I recently vacationed there)! The professionalism is first rate! The quality of the massage is the best I've ever had and when you're done, you get your own bottle of water and some fruit to finish the Thai Spa experience. i had a gift certificate for a combination massage and maybe i should have stuck with that, but i didn't- and paid extra to have a deep tissue massage. it seems like people in the reviews have enjoyed their combination massages? so maybe i blew it asking for deep tissue, because it certainly wasn't deep tissue- and it honestly felt like my masseuse was completely making things up as she went along. she started out just lightly rubbing my back and legs with no oil at all for the first 5 or so minutes which was so strange... at one point she and another masseuse were talking and giggling which was weird and distracting. towards the end when i was lying on my back, i opened my eyes because i was wondering what the hell was going on and she had half her body out in the hallway and was just sort of half assed rubbing my foot??? i mean, there were definitely some *moments* in there that felt nice, but overall it was awkward and i was relieved when it was over. at the very end when she had me sitting up, she sat behind me and was rubbing/"massaging"? my head with a bone dry towel , which felt so unsettling and left me with insanely staticky hair. i was actually laughing to myself as i was getting dressed wondering what on earth had just happened. they were all, however, incredibly sweet. i get people are just trying to make a living. i wanted to love it... but, it was definitely one of the least satisfying massages i've ever had. perhaps combination is the way to go at this establishment instead of "deep tissue". i don't know haha... bless them. read more
