My friend referred Somang Massage when i was complaining of chronic pain. I've been to so many massage place and the one I used to go has closed down so I thought i give this place a try. I am so glad i did!! This is not a regular massage place. His massage is more for healing purposes. He knows your pain and helps you heal from the pain with his deep knowledge of massage and lymph of the body. Today i had a splitting headache and was able to make an appointment. Went in for 2 hour massage and feeling so much better. I wasn't going to write a review because he doesn't need one since he is fully booked all the time with his regular customers who has been going to hime for years but I wanted to write one since the negative reviews are totally not the way this place is. He is not rude. He is one of the nicest person I know. He deserves 10 stars for helping people in pain.

This one was standard offering a Thai traditional massage (no oil) Thai/Swedish and Deep tissue massage. I went with the combo and at first it wasn't very deep. A few notes: They ask you to switch to their slippers during the massage. The massage rooms are very small with no spot for your clothes so bring a gym bag or tote to hold them during your massage. The rooms do not go to the ceiling. You can hear other clients and masseuses during your appointment. I was surprised how reasonable the price was. It was similar to little Saigon in Orange County. The Christmas decorations in the lobby were quite pretty.

Oh, one very important thing to note is that this place has legit licensed masseuses. All of their licenses are posted on the wall. Prior to today this would have been a 4.5 star review. Unfortunately, I'll have to deduct stars…read morebecause of Customer Service. I've been coming here for years and recently tried to redeem a Groupon. I booked my appointment over the phone with who I thought was an employee or owner of this location. He took down my Groupon redemption code and told me that my appointment was set. I was told that Groupon's weren't able to be redeemed on weekends, so we decided upon this Tuesday. I came in today and it was a pretty routine session and when I came out to leave a tip, I was told I would not be able to use my Groupon redemption code even though that's exactly what I used to even book the appointment over the phone. They told me that I was unable to redeem the code because I was not a first-time customer. They called an owner or manager from another location who after going back-and-forth with me, said that there was no point in us arguing because I was just going to go and write a negative review. The thought of leaving a review never crossed my mind. But after he said that, I thought it was a great idea. All I really wanted was for them to honor our prior conversation from a week ago. Since it was brought to my attention that this is something I could leave a review about I will do so. This will be my last time coming to this location. It's been a good couple years. This is not to discourage anyone from booking, but rather to encourage you all to read the fine print on the Groupon. Because even if you have a verbal conversation with someone on the phone and get confirmation that your appointment is booked, there are chances that they will not honor it. Especially if you are a loyal customer. Unfortunately, all of the relaxation I gained from the massage is now out of the window :)

Then when we arrived they changed the price to $100 per person, which was not what we were previously told. They proceeded to laugh and talk bad behind mine and my fiancés back as we left which I know because I have apples live translation with my AirPods. Very unwelcoming and rude and dishonest. Place also seemed unsanitary with a weird smell. I have my license in cosmetology and know how some things should be sanitized and kept. I saw some things that would be against the California's sanitation regulations. Edit: Owner replied to my comment and is lying, when we called we asked two times if it was $100 for a couples massage and they said yes. (My fiancé was on the phone and it was on speaker) so I heard everything that was said. When we arrived we said we were there for the massage and only THEN did they say the couples massage was $200. If you call a massage place and ask how much a couples massage is and are told $100, you don't assume it's $100 per person, the whole point of a "couples" massage is for two people. I would have happily paid $200 if that's what we were told on the phone, but when we arrived and were blindly told it would be $200 rather than $100 you immediately feel like you betrayed and lied to. Then the two ladies up front began to laugh as we were leaving. (The front door is right next to the counter they were standing at.) That was very unprofessional and felt like they were laughing at us, even if it was a different situation where it would have been a misunderstanding....who laughs at someone for that. Felt very unwelcoming. I don't leave 1 star reviews often, but now I wish I could leave 0 because of them lying in their reply. All I have to say is don't come here.
