    My husband booked the appointment for me, and I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard I was getting a head spa treatment. Long story short, I have had a better experience in Japan and my expectation was a lot higher considering the price. My head masseur was very nice tho. He started the session by showing my scalp condition using a microscope camera and iPad, which I found fascinating. Overall treatment and massage were very gentle and relaxing, but not quite satisfying. The quick neck and shoulder massage at the end felt way better than the head. Also, my husband forgot to add a blow-dry, so I ended up leaving the place with wet hair on a 60°F cold evening. The salon space is super tiny and they only serve 1 client at a time, so I can imagine they have a limited time slot. However, I wish he offered me to do a quick hair dry cause I would have paid additionally. I didn't have any plans after the session, but it could have been a disaster if I did. So guys, DON'T forget to add a blow dry when you make an appointment for yourself or someone as a gift. lol After checking other people's reviews, I've realized that you'd get the best experience with the owner and a longer session of over 60 minutes if you are thinking about giving this place a try.

    Wow, I can't believe ppl thought this was worth it. I paid $180 (head spa with owner) and it's just a somewhat elevated hair wash (with a steam and massage). The space itself was horrible too. There's not an actual spa facility, it's basically rooms scattered around. There were constantly people walking and talking; I even heard construction sounds. It was not at all a relaxing experience! I mean if you're that rich and believe a $180 hair wash with massage is worth it, then I say go for it :) Don't get me wrong, the owner was very friendly and nice, but I'm simply reviewing for the service and experience.

    They have an impossible website to book your appointment and you can only book on-line! Very very difficult and frustrating

I received zero response, so I am posting my email to them for the public to learn what they may expect at the West Hollywood location: "I have been a Drybar client for many years, with the West Hollywood location on Sunset as my primary salon. I even have a Barfly membership for which I pay monthly. I've built strong relationships with many members of your team and have consistently visited 1-2 times per week for several years. Because of this long-standing history, I want to share a series of recent experiences that have left me concerned about my continued relationship with this location. On January 7, 2026, I had a 6:00 p.m. appointment. I left work early and dealt with heavy traffic to make sure I arrived on time. At 5:45 p.m., as I pulled into the parking lot, I received a call informing me that my stylist had gone home sick and would not be able to see me--nor was any stylist available for the remainder of the day. While I understand unexpected situations occur, it was still a significant inconvenience. I rearranged my schedule for the next day and rescheduled for a 7:00 a.m. appointment the next morning, for which I was told both my service and my usual add on would be comped. I arrived at 6:55 a.m., but other clients were taken ahead of me. At 7:15 a.m., concerned about my upcoming rescheduled meeting, I asked the usual receptionist--who has short, curly hair (I unfortunately don't know his name)--for an estimated start time. His response was dismissive, stating only that the stylist was "running late" and that he did not know when they would arrive. When I reminded him of the previous day's cancellation, he replied, "There is nothing else I can do." My stylist ultimately arrived at 7:28 a.m. While the blowout itself was well done, I was late for my meeting, and I was also charged for the add on despite being told it would be covered. I chose not to escalate further at the time due to the receptionist's unprofessional behavior and my running late. Unfortunately, I had another experience on Tuesday, February 2, 2026. I arrived at 6:55 a.m. for my 7:00 a.m. blowout. At 7:15 a.m., the same front desk staff member informed me--without an apology--that my stylist had called out and that there was no availability with anyone else. When I expressed my frustration, particularly as I was interviewing someone for an important role at my hospital that morning, his response was, "I'm just the receptionist." There was no attempt at accommodation, no offer of compensation, and his demeanor again remained dismissive. When I asked for a manager's contact information, he provided only a generic email address and displayed an unprofessional attitude and eye-rolling. This does not reflect the level of service, professionalism, or care I have come to expect from Drybar. Given my years of loyalty and frequent weekly visits, these recent interactions have caused me to seriously question my relationship with this location. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this further and explore how we might rebuild trust and repair this relationship." I want to point out that other locations in the city and in other states have bent over backward and given free add-ons when they are just 15 minutes late. West Hollywood could learn from their sister salons. I am sad that I won't see the stylists, but I will not be going back to that location ever, based on the lack of follow-up and accountability. I cannot believe that a customer service-based business would not have reached out to a loyal customer.
