I've been getting my hair cut by Dustin Hollenbeck for the past couple of years and I'm impressed every single time! My hair is the healthiest it's been in years. I have very long, thick hair, and Dustin always follows exactly how much I want taken off while adding the perfect amount of layers. I don't style my hair much, so it's easy for layers to look choppy, but with Dustin my hair always looks fuller, healthier, and has so much movement even without styling! He also has a great personality, and I always enjoy chatting with him during appointments. I've followed him from another salon and now drive quite a distance to see him, and it is so worth it! Highly recommend Dustin! (Attached is a photo after a recent haircut with him at his previous salon!)

Society Salon is one of those places that always makes you feel special and I truly mean always. From the moment you walk in, it feels like it's your day. They absolutely understand customer service, and on top of that, they are incredibly talented when it comes to hair styling and color. I've come here for everything: color, haircuts, and blowouts, and I've never once left disappointed. Every visit feels thoughtful, intentional, and personalized. My most recent visit was for my birthday, and they went above and beyond. They surprised me with a birthday drink and a cupcake which was actually delicious and it honestly meant so much. Those little details make all the difference. Society is a memorable place filled with great, positive energy and so much love. You don't just leave with great hair you leave feeling celebrated.

God, my hair smells good. I was driving from the Bay Area and I was in NEED of a hair treatment. I was suffering from dandruff and itchy scalp and it was making me feel horrible. Every time I put a new black shirt on, the first thing I notice are small flakes that were fallen on the shoulders of my shirt. It was so frustrating to experience this for many months, I HAD to pull the trigger to book a scalp scrub treatment. As I was on Yelp looking for a good hair salon, Society was the first salon I clicked on. Praying that they had any openings within the next hour, I was lucky to find an opening and I claimed it immediately. The parking wasn't hard to find. Once I walked into the salon, I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who was determined to make sure I felt welcomed. I wasn't sure what his name was, but all I have to say is he was very nice and informative. After speaking with him about my appointment, he told me to go to a closet and pick out a robe to wear for my service. I asked what the robe was for and he said that it's just to protect my clothes so I thought this was pretty cool because this was the first salon I've been to that has taken into consideration of clothes getting damaged from getting hair serviced and styled. After grabbing my robe and sitting down to wait for my hairstylist, a man named Jacob approached me and greeted me. He was extremely friendly and we hit it off immediately. I expressed my concerns, which includes dandruff, dry scalp, and to not brush my hair too hard and he 'understood the assignment'. Jacob recommended me to try a couple products to help with my dry scalp and even introduced to me a lavender calming spray for my scalp which I immediately bought right after my appointment. Jacob and I were talking throughout the whole entire appointment and he made me feel very comfortable. Loved his energy and definitely coming back to see him when I'm out here again.

Michael Michael Michael, my hair angel! I've been transformed. I feel younger and prettier. The precision and craftwork put in to my transformation was top notch, it feels so natural and dimensional in the color tones, and even when I wear it up, it's got this glistening warm vibe that brightens my face. I've never had a hair color bring out and match my eye color before! I'm already booked for an upkeep in three months because I loved Michael's expertise with my hair. The salon was a delight, they had me put on a robe cover right away and I had no wait time to Michael's chair. They also were keeping watch that my beverage was quickly refilled, the cookies were an adorable touch although I couldn't eat them I felt respected and appreciated while being there for my transformation. And parking wasn't much of a hassle either! Also, dog friendly! Services Hair coloring Requested style I let him do his magic, he had 100% decision making of what to do; I think it's best to let the craft expert do their artistry. Specialties He's a color artist! Update, I just left yet another west coast trip and as I sit here on the plane I'm still feeling so fabulous and fresh from seeing Jillian. She just gets it. The color, the cut, everything always looks so natural and effortless. Not only is she incredibly talented, she's also the sweetest and makes the whole experience so fun and relaxing always remembering how much I love the peppermint tea I always leave Society feeling like the best version of myself. Also, shout out to Joseph for a warm welcome and chatting about the cold weather we're missing back home... I am already looking forward to my next visit which hopefully is soon ‍

I'm a regular at the salon and love the "everyone is welcome here" culture. From the moment I walk in until I leave, it's going to be a pampered experience. My regular stylist is Hannah for haircuts and blowouts and always leave feeling special. She listens to my ideas and gives sound advice to make my vision reality. Yesterday, Amel worked her talent and skill to give me the transformation I envisioned. When we had the consultation the week prior, she was honest and didn't over promise what could be achieved. Amel worked her skill on my mousie greying hair, and turned it into beautiful and stunning platinum highlights. I'm beyond thrilled with the result and loved working with Amel and her assistant Faith.

This is my go to salon in LA and Jillian is the best of the best! I fly back from the east coast every couple months just to get my cut and color done by her because I don't trust anyone else. I found her several years ago when I was still a bleach-and-tone blonde and had let my roots grow out a little too much... she took such good care of me in what I can only describe as a Moment of Need and got me back to a beautiful icy blonde. She's since shepherded me through many hair evolutions, from blonde to hot pink to strawberry blonde to brunette, and she really knows how to cut the perfect precision bob. Not only is she incredibly skilled, she's also so sweet, warm, and easy to talk to. She really makes the time spent sitting in the chair fly by. I can't recommend her highly enough! I also feel so supported and held when I'm greeted by Joseph at reception, I really feel like I'm home! Thank you Jillian + team!!!!!

AMEL MATHIS.....an absolute goddess, visionary and complete creative that made me feel right at home. This was a luxury hair experience that also--(thanks to Amel) felt like I was just meeting up with an old friend, even though I had never met her before. On top of this, she knew exactly what to do with my porous, naturally curly hair and NAILED the color. I will be recommending her to everyone I know, and to be honest it was one of the best few hours away from work I'd had in quite a long time.

(Result was great but read through) Finally!! Jen was amazing from start to finish. It was my first time seeing her, and from the beginning she made me feel like she really cared about, and took the time to understand, what I was trying to achieve. Friendly, engaged, and honestly, the best hairdresser I've been to in a while! After visiting two others after moving to L.A. and being left disappointed -- I finally found my go to!! I'm sure she's amazing with any look, but if you're looking for someone to do your blonde, look no further. She is a master at it. Chefs kiss! Something to look out for though: their booking is a la carte and all the pricing is separate. Even a blow dry is separate... I agree with the reviews here--are we expected to walk out with wet hair? For a cut like mine, they often need to dry after the cut to see if layers need any adjustments, so it's like a forced extra charge. Also, highlights don't include any toner and gloss (+$130), or root shadow (+$130), so expect to pay another premium for all of that. (These are also like 15-minute treatments and who doesn't need toner after highlights?) I walked out an extra $300 than expected. Yikes. It does seem a bit like a bait and switch, since the average person doesn't know all the services their hair may need at booking before consult. Usually some of that is included in the highlight price, and if not, isn't that much more. I'll go back to Jen, but it's unfortunate that they've taken this approach, since I'll probably get my hair done less because of the expense.

I found Anya on Reddit and came in on a nice Sunday to get a curly cut from her. I essentially told her I wanted to keep my bangs and my face framing little hair tendrils, and she can do what she wanted with the rest! From there, she asked questions such as how heavy my hair feels regularly/the last time I got it cut, if I like my hair to have volume or sit the way it is and mimicked with my hair how both versions looked, made observations and suggestions on where we could go.
