Second time back to remove the acrynails, with a regular mani + pedi ($30 altogether). Zoey is great & fun to talk to! Very gentle and great work! Love this nail salon and prefer it over the other one nearer my house. I just got one of the best pedicures ever, as I always have, when coming to Verdure Nails. There were times around and after covid it was hard to schedule but not anymore. I will be a regular here and always call here first when needing my nails done. I don't think they should turn down any customers. I think it was rude of them to ask me: what did I need and then tell me that they won't be able to help me due to appointment only. Accidentally deleted my old review with my updated review but here's a quick run through... At first I gave them 3 stars & said they were okay but I didn't like the way they did the dipping powder especially since they didn't buff my nails after putting the powder on & you can tell in person. They only had 4 colors: black, white, red & pink. The nail technician broke two of my real nails so it sucked I had to get two acrylic nails. The total it was $27 for the service $28 in total because they charge an extra dollar if you use your card. Whatever, it's just a dollar. The parking sucks too. They want me to tell the whole story so here we go. They have 4 colors, like I said, black, white, red & pink. They claim they have 8 because they have 2 different shades of white & 4 different shades of pink. To me that's not options. Unless they have more hidden in the back somewhere, but that's all they gave me. She claims I came into the salon with broken nails which is completely not true. I had ONE broken under the skin not even half of it was cut off, only a small crack (I have pictures) & what most salons do is put glue & then the dipping powder to fix the cracked nail. The first nail she broke was on my right pinky (not the broken nail) she was trying to take the dipping powder off by using an acrylic nail but instead it broke my nail in half. Then after deciding that the rest wouldn't come off with that method she finally filed down the other nails & soak my nails in acetone then scraped the remainder off. I'm sure this salon does great with gel, but they fall short when it comes to dipping powder & customer service. Really wish their response was more professional. Oh well! But she's right, if they can't provide the right service for me & others there's a bunch of salons here in Glendale & Burbank that can do dipping powder the right way. Ladies lesson learned. I've been coming here for a little over two years now, the first year I used to come biweekly, but since I became a mommy, I only come here once a month (if I get lucky). Including Jennifer, the owner, there are only 5 manicurists, and I've been helped by all of them. They're all very efficient workers, and what makes me a happier customer is that none of them have ever cut me. As far as the service goes, it's always been a job well done. Safe to say they're all perfectionists. They give a(n) arm/leg massage before painting your nails. And they even use those hot wet towels on your arms and legs, and that always feels nice. Recently, they began using a kit of newly sanitized nail tools for every customer. Came in to get a much needed mani-pedi. There were only 2 manicurists so Jennifer asked me to come back in 30 minutes which I did. Came back and relaxed in one of their massaging spa chairs... Ahhh.... I am super thrilled with this find. My mani-pedi came out beautifully and I was able to relax. I do agree with other Yelpers that the parking can be a problem, but that is a small price to pay for awesome service. I would recommend a few extra chairs maybe for customers who are willing to wait around. I also really appreciate that Jennifer strives to make the salon as odor free and clean as possible. There is NO strong nail shop odor here. Jennifer also has baggies with pumice stones, nail files, and buffers for each customer. If you don't want to take it with you, she tosses them. After a series of scary experiences with manicures, a good friend of mine recommended Zoey. I came in with a peeling gel manicure from only the week before, and I was a little scared when she started to use a Dremel to remove the old polish. But she was super gentle and the old polish flaked off easily. She gave me a marble/French tip design which I think came out really well. She said her gel manicures last an average of 2 weeks and up to 4 weeks and encouraged me to call immediately if the nails peel within the first week so she can redo it. The phone rang often with people trying to come in to see her. I can see why. I will continue to drive out of my way to get my nails done at Verdure. read more

Horrible, disgusting salon. The lady doing my pedicure was the worst. She was digging into my nails so hard I was crying. She worked on one nail for a good 20 min cutting it up w her scalpels, my toes are throbbing. If you want to pay someone for butchering your feet, by all means, this is the place for you. I asked another lady if she could fix it, she said ok, then went to help a new walk in for 30 min, not bothering to tell me whether she would help me anytime sooon. My nails are all uneven, and bloody. And rubbing lemon on them? Was a first. Never, everrrrrrr would I go back there, nor recommend their business to the worst of my enemies. I, too, stumbled upon Verdure when looking for a nail salon in my new neighborhood. These ladies are incredible. Hands down, the BEST mani/pedi I've had in years. They're thorough, precise, clean, and beyond friendly. They didn't rush through my nails. They took their time. My nails look so good I can't stop staring at them. What made it even better was that she asked if I wanted my french pedi thin or thick (the white line that is). Nobody ever asks that. My eyebrows were looking a little worse for the wear, so I had Jennifer wax them after I finished gettin' my nails did. $7 for an eyebrow wax??! I was so happy, I almost fell over. I haven't had an eyebrow wax that cheap since I lived back East. Other places around here are $18 and up. That's just stupid. I almost fell asleep on the bed that's how relaxing it was. Yeah, the decor is minimal, but who cares! The service is what counts. I will DEFINITELY be going back to Verdure to visit Jennifer and the girls. Just FYI - they don't take tip on your CC. My first experience at a California nail salon after just moving here from the east coast. While these ladies are kind (like they're really not going to be!?), the service that I received was horrible. I got a manicure, pedicure, and had my eyebrows waxed. The woman doing my nails cut into my skin and it actually hurt. I didn't want my legs massaged with the sugar scrub, but they didn't understand English too well. After telling them three times that I didn't want it, they still did it anyway. The polish job was shoddy, not consistent (blotchy) and didn't even last 3 days. I could have done a better job at home myself. The girl who did the waxing was thorough, but I don't know what she actually took off because my brows didn't look too much different after. I do not recommend this place. If you can go to another place in Glendale, I would recommend that. read more

A busy spot with good prices for gel. Of the many times I have been here, mostly good experiences. While did have a set that started chipping in 2 days, also had one recent French gel set that lasted a month! Most gel sets on fingers go 2 weeks; toes longer. They do keep busy, so while walk ins are taken, a reservation is recommended. Equipment recently updated as well, so that is good too. Parking can be a little bit of a challenge, though usually can find a street spot around the corner. The ladies do their best to make sure you are happy with their service. I live about 3 blocks from this place... drive pass it many times and decided to give this place a try. Best decision ever to walk there because I don't think they have their own parking lot which can be frustrating spinning around. Walked in, greeted by a couple of manicurists and they were very friendly and ready to help me. Awesome first impression. I asked for an acrylic fill and pedicure. I had two ladies worked on me. How efficient! yay! The massage chair works very well - love the total experience ahhhhh Love the little scrubs, massage, and warm towels at the end for $18. I'd pay a little more any day (I used to pay a little less than that and didn't receive the service that they offer here) Heck, I can give myself a really nice pedicure if I want to... I go to these places to be pampered :) Next time I will try - paraffin dip $5 and callus removal treatment $5 I saw they used some kind of callus solution on a lady's heels and wow! it worked great! and me want some too! ps: lovely touch of applying cuticle oil around my toenails at the end. ^-^ ps 2: I saw a husky Armenian guy getting the whole work done! Great staff, clean salon, good service, and fresh supplies for each mani/pedi. 4 things you need in a great nail salon. They did a great job in making sure all the nails were pained evenly (yes even "the tops" as one reviewer mentioned before), no residual paint on your cuticles and they did a good job at cleaning up your cuticles without tearing up your feet and leaving you in pain. Looks like they use OPI nail colors too, which is a plus. Spa Pedi price: $18 The Few things I didn't like -parking was a problem (looks like it's street only) -felt sort of rushed after my nails were done to get out of there (even on a not-so-busy night). read more

Second time here, first time came for a pedi, they did such a great job and a great price. Second time came to get gels done for halloween, then found out they have many acrylic power colors, so then Zoey did my nails and did really cute designs on them. No gel needed great price too and was very fast and painless. They close at 730 or 7 but I came late amd they made me feel welcome and did a great job both times. The ladies are nice, not like at other salons where they try to rush trough. I found Verdure Nails through yelp'ers, and thankfully so. My only disappointment is that I've been going to two other Verdugo Road salons (polish beauty bar and my's nails), one south of Verdure and the other north of Verdure, for too long. Sadly, I have been spending more money for poorer sevice at other often-crowded locations. Truthfully, there isn't really a "great" well-priced nail salon in the Glendale area, akin to those fancier yet affordable spots found on Main Street in Venice/Santa Monica. But Verdure is good, and probably a better-priced salon in the Glendale area. It's clean and offers great service from a friendly staff. I really like that it wasn't crowded (there's really only three mani stations, three drying stations, and three pedi spa chairs). We called ahead to make a Saturday noon reservation for two mani-pedis, and when we arrived, they warmly welcomed us. I agree with everyone else that this salon doesn't waste their (or your) time -- the ladies get to work and pay full attention to you and your requests, and you don't feel like they're preoccupied or distracted or trying to push extra services on you. The place also has a nice selection of OPI and China Glaze polish. We paid $24 for mani/pedis in the massage/spa chair. We added an extra $10 for a 15-min. foot massage. They also offer a "Deluxe" mani/pedi that includes parafin wax and other stuff, but I really just wanted more time of someone rubbing my feet/calves. The lemons in the soaking dishes were a nice touch, too, and they do use the lemon slices to clean your nails. Overall, you just get a sense that this place really cares that your nails get good attention and care. I didn't give them 5 stars for two reasons: 1) Parking (there's a sign on the door that says "parking available in back," but I didn't see any, so we parked on the residential streets, and the parking in front of the store is just 30-min. green zone parking). And 2) I did see a bunch of ants crawling on the floor, which could have been due to the rain. Still, I don't like seeing ants crawling around my slippers and purse on the floor. I saw several ants, both when I arrived and when I left. All in all, great salon, and I hope they're busier than it seemed when I went, 'cause I want them to stay in business. They also offer waxing at decent prices, but I'm not that daring yet, would love to see if anyone else yelps more about their waxing skills, particularly for eyebrows. If they can do decent brows, too, then I'll be making this my usual salon from now on. read more

Pros: - Technicians were very attentive spending close to 25 minutes on pampering my feet before putting the polish. While in town for work from Northern California, my coworkers and I decided to get a Pedi and I needed a fill. I am so very disappointed due to the other reviews. Our "special" pedicure was $28, there was very little massage and the bottom of my feet were not cleaned up very well. The extra $10 for the "special" part was for paraffin wax and a scrub on your legs, NOT WORTH IT!! My back fill is mediocre, the shape is atrocious, and the french portion of it looks like i did it with white-out! Oh and one of my co-workers it vietnamese and told us not to drink the water they handed us because she heard them saying they should charge us $2! read more
