I usually don't write reviews, but I have to share my experience with this nail salon. I called ahead before coming in because I wanted to make sure they could do acrylic. When I arrived, I was greeted up front and sat down for my pedicure. As soon as I put my feet in the water, it started burning. I told the lady it burns and asked if she could change the water. She tapped my foot and said no and told me to put it back in. After that, it became clear they didn't want to do the acrylic work, even though I called ahead. About five ladies surrounded my feet and kept repeating "gel" and "acrylic" for several minutes while talking to each other and laughing. The lady doing my toes then said they couldn't charge it as a fill and that it had to be a full set. I told her, "Wait, this is a full set." She mumbled and told me to ask the lady next to her, so I did, and that lady said, "Okay, just do a fill." Then I asked how much acrylic would be. They all started talking to each other and ignored me. After a few minutes I asked again, and one of the ladies looked at me and said, "We will not tell you right now. We will let you know." That made me feel like they were keeping the price vague so they could charge me more than what my fill actually should be. At that point I said never mind and walked out. This was one of the most unprofessional experiences I've had at a nail salon, and it made me extremely uncomfortable. I will never go back. I truly wish I could give this place 0 stars--they do not know how to treat people. Even some of the ladies in the salon told me I wasn't wrong for leaving. read more

I was getting my nails done by Kathy and my pedicures by Cindy. Everything was great there were times where I did need to go back and get my nails redone because the chrome fell off or things of that nature and they were willing to fix it. I went had my nails done paid $110 and the chrome was falling off so I sent Kathy a message and we reschedule rescheduled for her to fix. When I got there, she wanted to redo the same nail polish. I told her no showed her a different design, but she insisted on doing the same design. Kept saying she didn't have time I explained that I didn't have time to keep coming back and that I had a graduation that night. I didn't like it at the end. She got upset. It took a lot longer than she wanted. I explained to her that I did not want it in the first place she shouldn't have done it. I showed her what I wanted because I wasn't trusting that that design was gonna come off again. She got highly upset after she made the mistake as if it was my fault. I'm only writing this review because I really enjoyed going there and I really enjoyed getting my nails done with her one of the ladies there comes and tapped me on the shoulder and tells me that Kathy doesn't have time and I told her she's gonna do it because I paid her already. She explained that I will no longer be allowed to get my nails done there all of this because she made the mistake redid them twice not what I wanted, was late to her next appointment because she didn't listen to me in the first place. when I first got there at 9 AM and she didn't get there till 915 almost 920 to start my nails. I guess her being late was my fault too so even though I was kind, never rude did not yell kept my calm, I was told that I was not allowed to get my nails done there any longer that Kathy said she would no longer do my nails again because my designs take too long and it was to much for her. she made the mistakes and did not properly apply the polish, she admitted that to me. somehow I was to blame, so I'm giving them a one star for their customer service and for telling me not to come back to the shop because my nails take too long and it was to much for her to deal with my nails. I love getting designs and it is her fault that the polish was coming off. I had to get it off my chest. I was so upset I have never been told I could not go back to shop I've gotten designs by her that lasted four weeks never had an issue so all of this was very surprising to me after I was so kind to them. Great tips good laughs and they treat me this way. I guess that's how nail shops do it nowadays they don't like you or your designs are too much for them to deal with they ask you not to come back. My big toenails were hurting and in bad shape. My sister suggested that a pedicure might help. I stopped by L'Amour and the staff seemed aloof and dismissive. I stopped by Kim's but it was closed. They say the third time is the charm. And I had a wonderful experience at Melody Nails. When I came in each staff, member greeted me like they knew me saying hello or welcome in some form. I got the top of the line pedicure and everything that came with it. Niko expertly handled my pedicure without any pain and my feet never felt better. Tina worked wonders on my rough hands and nails. When she was through my hands were soft and my nails shiny. Lastly, the lower leg/foot massage, hand/upper arm massage had me melting in the massage chair. This was my worst experience EVER at a nail salon. Not only did they make my bleed and cut all my cuticles, but they also tried to tell me their laziness was my fault and that my "nail was shaped like that". When I pointed it out before she cured and gave her the chance to fix it she told me it's not fixable that my nail was shaped like that. I have been coming here for over 10 years and have always had a great manicure and pedicure. I often bring my own polish because some of theirs is old and sticky, plus I like long lasting colors as I don't go as often as I would like. Tonight, I arrived at 5:10 for a 5:15 appointment, I wasn't taken until 5:35, this is the reason for the 4 stars as this is an often occurrence, unfortunately. If I wasn't headed out on a vacation, I might haven't have been annoyed. Other than that, the ladies are always very welcoming and friendly to me. Melody Nails has been my family's go to nail salon for many moons. The staff is so welcoming and sweet - they remember us and treat us like family. I absolutely love having my nails done here. They are super flexible and have a lot of nail color assortments. I've been to almost every technician and each of them have been talented and made my nails looks fabulous. They have a private parking lot up front - I've never had a problem with parking. A lot of businesses have a hard time maintaining both good quality and good service. Melody Nails is in business for so long because it really delivers on both. They're honest and caring, which are all wonderful traits for both personal and business purposes. I never ever write reviews but they finesse and steal your money here! They don't do a bad job on nails but you legit have to scream NO to extra add ons because they will not stop asking even after the third no. I got a Gel French tip manicure and regular French tip pedicure they charged me $66 and I saw their prices did the math on my calculator in front of the guy he saw with his own eyes and it was way cheaper than what he was charging me and still proceeded to charge me the $66. How is mani & pedi $35 + French tip $5 times 2 which equals $10 so 35+10 = 66???? Never in my life will I be returning. It's quite sad they robbed me like that I should've been the bad person and just walked out but no I still paid even though they clearly overcharged. Mary took me right under her wings and gave me a full set of acrylics, and I've been going to her for fills ever since! Prices are so good, only 15 dollars for a fill, which definitely fits my budget. I called to go get my toes and hands done and they told me to go there at 11:30. I show up and they begin immediately but halfway through another lady shows up saying she has an appointment with Kathy who was doing the gell on my hands. After that customer says that, Kathy starts to work faster to not make the other customer upset. Mind you she is putting the nail polish on my hands while another lady is scrubbing the callus on my feet which is causing my hands to shake. I have been here over the years regularly. On my last few visits here I was not treated with great respect by these younger pedicure technicians. First off they always try to sell and sell more services even though you've said no. Secondly, they have lost touch with their customers as they work so fast that they compromise quantity over quality. The pedicure person I got did my pedicure in literally 10 minutes. I inspected my toes and polish and it was sloppily done and I was full of polish towards the sides and tops of the toes. There were obvious cuticles that remained in plain view that weren't cut off. After bringing this to the attention of the technician she became aggressive with me and literally slapped my hand as I pointed out all the flaws. This is an awful and unacceptable action. The other unfortunate part of the experience is that no one there speaks enough English to be able to complain to. I was visibly upset and as such am posting this review. I don't recommend this business anymore as I can see that the customers are merely treated as numbers for them. Worst polish job ever! The entire manicure took 15 minutes. She left towel fibers under the polish and nails were not buffed prior to polishing to smooth any rough spots as you can see in photos. I have been here once with my friend and her family and it was a great time. We were helped the moment we walked through the door and it was great. They had a great variety of regular polish which is why I wanted to bring my other friend here. I am under the impression that there was a change in management because this time, I was significantly let down. I called yesterday for my friend and I were planning to get fills and I wanted a pedicure. Our "appointment" was at 5pm and we walked in at 4:50 to make sure we can get started at 5. It was about 5:10 that we started to make a remark suggesting us coming back but they insisted that we stayed. My friend was not assisted until 5:15 and in the mean time I waited. An employee kicked someone out of a chair she was waiting in to have me sit next to my friend at around 5:25. The other customer appeared to be upset with the situation as well because she apparently had an appointment at 5 also with the employee that was helping me out. My friend was VERY dissatisfied because the employee didn't explain the benefits of the more expensive OPI polish and insisted that it was "cheaper" and "better" than a classic OPI polish. Once I was getting my fill, I had to ask the employee to file down multiple nails simply because they were at a diagonal. She made it seem like it was an inconvenience for me to ask that because she wanted to help her reoccurring customer that I assume comes in monthly at the least. The job that she did left acrylic powder dried on most if not all of my nails. When she left to go to assist the reoccurring customer, the person that painted my friends nails came to me. She tried to charge me more for rhinestones AFTER I paid even though the designs I showed her had designs. After all was said and done, design and all, I asked the employee to please help me wipe the nail glue off of my nails and she said "No, it's dry skin". The pedicure was pretty basic, cheap for the price. I was honestly too focused on my fingers to enjoy my pedicure. Most places let me relax in the chair to enjoy my experience but when my friend is finished and waiting for me makes it quite hard. They kept saying thank you for coming and bringing a friend but we were significantly let down. We felt that we were not welcomed and rushed out of there even though we started significantly after our "appointment time" I make appointments to avoid waiting 20 minutes to be serviced. I should avoid the "cheap" and go to a place where they honor their customer's time. read more

I recently visited their new location (same lot, just a couple of spaces down) and it's SO much better! Not only is the parking way better on that side, but the establishment itself is so much more professional. It seems they had some serious investors this time. The paint, front desk, and decor seemed to have been done professionally as opposed to the last place. Colors could be better but if you know their last place, this is like comparing escargot to chicken wings - huge improvement. They now have a very nice sink that's accessible in the same room, no more waiting for the sink in the bathroom, no more hogging up the bathroom while someone waits to use it. They also have a nice wall shelf with assorted nail colors in a spacious spot where you aren't in anyone's way like before. It's just an overall 100% improvement. The service of course remains the same. Kind, friendly, humorous, and attentive. Nancy spent an hour and a half perfecting my new full set. I never leave this place upset. If there's something you specifically like (shape, width, length, style), just tell them! They're great at accommodating your preference.. Highly recommend them more than ever now :) read more
