What happened to this salon? It used to be my favorite and I've been coming here for years... This place is not how it used to be... I started coming here, back when they had a full staff and receptionist. I moved away then moved back a couple years ago and things are not the same. The staff changed, which was fine, I found a new lady that I liked that can do my pedicure. But then she wasn't there anymore. It seemed like most of the staff has left which is sad. I booked an appointment online and requested a certain person but didn't get them. I don't like the way the guy does my pedicure because he's rough and it's painful. He also pushed a callus removal and sugar scrub on me.. which ended up costing me an extra $15.. he didn't even ask me he just told me I'm gonna do this for you, making it sound like it wasn't extra and didn't even let me know it was extra! So shady and seemed like they just wanted more money because they're not doing so well. I ended up just paying the whole price because I didn't wanna be rude. It's so sad to see this place go down hill, it just seems like there's barely any staff working anymore and business has gotten slow. There's no receptionist anymore so what's the point of making an appointment when the nail techs are the ones that greet you and don't even know what you booked. Why are you asking me what I want and if I have an appointment when it's literally on the computer stating exactly the time and service I booked. Fida is an amazing brow wiz! I have been going to her for over 8 years and I am a huge fan how she waxes brows (so surprised I haven't left a review yet!) I'm not a fan of brow tweezing, and Fida is experienced in brow waxing as well as many esthetician services. What I love is the tweezing she incorporates along with waxing; believe it or not, a lot of other estheticians just wax without trimming or tweezing. Fida, however, leaves your brows feeling fresh! When she has more time on her hands, she's also shaded in my brows, leaving them looking fabulous. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my brows. The spa is super cute. It's local for me, but even if I wasn't in the area, I would make the trip to see Fida. Without her, my brows would be uneven and bushy. He started and rushed through it like Iv never seen before. He did not pay a second of attention to what I wanted. He got up several time to find tools or clean in between while I was in the chair. He did such horrible job that I had to stop him. He hardly removed any cuticle. Changed the shape of my toes. Cut them so short. Another technician took over but I was done. This was a "what I asked for vs. what I got situation", that I was FORCED to pay for. First of all, I had come in for an acrylic fill and I presented the technician with a picture of what I wanted in terms of shape and length. She said okay, and I asked her if she wanted me to keep it open for reference. She said no. Unfortunately I didn't get the technicians name. She proceeded to cut my nails and after I told her they were too short, she goes "Well what do you want me to do about it? There's nothing I can do". Mind you, she could've just started from scratch as most nail techs do when they see that their client is visibly displeased. She didn't want to even attempt to fix it because it was late in the evening and she didn't want to stay for an extra 20 minutes to rectify the mistake. I told her that she could try thinning the width by filing the sides so the nails don't look as wide. She didn't listen and I ended up with what looked like the nails of a tortoise. Underneath the nails were complete jagged and had polish stuck between my natural nail and the acrylic. It looked like a 5 year old had done it. Visibly shaken up, I go to the receptionist and I tell her verbatim: "I'm sorry, I'm really not the type to do this, but I'm really upset with how this turned out, on top of the fact that the technician didn't listen to me at all and didn't attempt to fix anything. I really cannot bring myself to pay for this, knowing I'm having to get it fixed and therefore, pay even more." She tells me that I'll have to talk to the owner, Fida, which is fine. Fida comes. I reiterate what had taken place, I showed her the picture of what I wanted. Fida herself tells the technician that she did a bad job. Okay great, we're all in agreement. THEN she proceeds to tell me that I still needed to pay, but that I could come the next morning to get it fixed. I'm shocked, I tell her "Ma'am, when I pay for a service, I expect it to be done correctly the first time. Especially when I'm giving instructions. I should not have to take an additional two hours out of my schedule to rectify something your employee messed up in the first place." MIND YOU, I've been coming here for TEN YEARS. TEN. I had NEVER had a problem with my experience here before and it was my first time ever asking for a refund or fee waive in my entire life. I'm telling her, I'm sorry but if you yourself agree that it was a bad job, why should I have to pay for it? She then tells me that the technician needs to be paid for her time. I tell her, you're the owner of the place and she's your employee, you should be paying her out of your pocket, not making me pay for it when she messes up. Any way, after physically shaking and going back and forth verbally she tells me I need to pay for half of it. I put the 20$ on the counter and leave. I couldn't believe that Fida was SO CHEAP that she was actually spending her time arguing with a loyal customer to get 40$ so that she wouldn't be paying her own employee out of her pocket. Absolutely disgraceful. Absolutely unprofessional. I used to come here at least twice a month and would spend 70-80$ each time. From now on, I'll be taking my business where it's appreciated. I can't believe I spent half an hour haggling with the owner of this place as if I was in some bazaar in some village. read more

I decided to give them another try and once more their work product is far below average. The polish was applied carelessly and looks awful around my cuticles. I came in for a gel X extension removal and an overlay. Tracy was working on my nails and did not seem to comprehend that gel X extensions are soak off. I asked multiple times if she was familiar with gel x and removals. Tracy argued that she didn't feel a tug when she ripped off the gel off my natural nail with the cuticle remover tool while proceeding to ruin my natural nail. She did not apologize and continued to try to gaslight me into thinking this was normal. As I was inspecting my nails, she told me not to touch since they are now thin and fragile. The whole point of gel x extension is the quicker and easier removal. It is also the safer and healthier option. They still charged me for this. I have been coming here for around a year. There have only been a few times where I actually start my appointment on time. I have been asked to wait for over 30 minutes before when I had an appointment. One time they even asked me to come early and still had to wait for after my original appointment.
