I have cuts on my toes and when filing my nails, he was filing the top of my foot as well. Some of my toes are not fully painted. I also had to ask him to remove all the extra nail polish on my skin. I walked in after lunch today and it wasn't too busy for my acrylics done right away. First time trying this place and I wasnt disappointed it was nothing amazing but everyone was decently friendly. It looked like the main guy did my nails and boy did it do it so fast I got a little worried. I'm not even joking when I say I finished before everyone else who was already there getting acrylics. BUT he did an amazing job. Everything was perfect. I got coffin shape medium length with gel and a matte finish. All together it cost $45 $3extra for matte. Good price, good service. It pains me to write this review as I've been going here for a while but this past visit was not a great one. I got an acrylic fill + gel and requested a stiletto shape. It ended up being an almond shape. The nails were quite thick and uneven and she didn't drill the outgrown nails underneath. The worst part of this visit was the fact that my appointment was set for 1:30PM but the lady didn't start on my nails until 1:52PM. I luckily had my laptop on me and was working on some projects for work but this delay did cut massively into my lunch break.... Maybe I'll try coming in one more time when Eric is working, but I'll probably be moving nail salons. read more

We've been here twice. Both times we set an appointment ahead of time. The first visit they were running 15 minutes behind. This time they're 30 minutes behind and we're still waiting. A woman walked in about 15 min after we arrived and checked in for her appointment and was seated immediately. The nails my daughter got done on the first visit were great but with this kind of poor scheduling/time management I won't be coming back. It's also fairly dirty which is a concern; I wouldn't get a pedicure here. read more

One of the workers just literally YELLED at me, in front of other customers and staff. I have a gel pedicure with tips. I needed a tip replacement on one toenail. He yelled at the top of his voice that they don't do that here. Ok, no problem. I need the toenail please to match the length of the other ones (it broke off while I was trimming all of them). The male staff here are just SO RUDE. Will not be coming here ever again. Also when I called 5 min before arriving, to schedule an appt, no one picked up. I've been meaning to write a review on Uptown Spa because they have since then change management. This place is now being managed by Erik and him and his employees have been nothing short of amazing! But my favorite go to girl is Hailey! I seriously love that girl! She's the best! She always does an amazing job when she does my nails. It lasts for a long time which is what I need since I rarely have time to get my nails done. There are so many other nail shops around La Crescenta, Montrose, La Canada and Tujunga. It was my second time going here because the prices were reasonable, but now it will be my last. I got my nails done and while she was shaping my nails she shaved directly on my finger and cut it. I looked down because I felt the pain and realized the cut was pretty deep. I let it go because accidents happen, but after that she ripped my cuticles and it started bleeding. Instead of apologizing she looked up at me with sorrowful eyes. The least I could get was an apology, but no. I paid and left and while I was driving, I realized that it started bleeding even more. Will never go back to this place to get my nails done ever again!! Went there and paid $50 for a fill and black French tip Gel polish, which is supposed to last 3 weeks! The very next day I noticed not only was it a terrible paint job the gel polish was already coming off so I called and made an appointment to have them fixed, when I came in he was very rude to me and told me that's how a special decoration polish is done and when I asked if I could even pay to have them re painted he said he didn't have time for that, he then just slapped on a bunch of even more black that made it look even worse ‍ I can't believe they would think that this is ok!! read more

Got my nails done today... the lady cut my toe and I bled for 5 minutes straight and what is with all of the bumps in the nail polish?! -_- Asked for them to be fixed but they wouldn't do it. Paid $52. Not worth it. Bummed I'm going to a wedding with this terrible nail polish job. 7/13/19 - Erik, thank you for your response. But the nail polish I chose was not OPI Sand. The bottle was not labeled "Sand" and I only have those ugly bumps all over on two toes and not on all of the toe nails. Thank you for your offer but I will not have time to stop by to have my nails fixed before attending the wedding. I did gel manicure on my natural nails done by Hailey! The service was really good! I came in with a complicated nail design photo and Hailey did an excellent job! I had a hard time choosing exactly which colors I wanted for the outline of the nail design, so Hailey painted both colors on my nails to let me visually see the difference so I could choose. Hailey showed me the drawings of the design and asked me if they look fine before putting my hand in the UV lamp too. I have asked her to change one of the original design on my ring finger after she already drew it, and I asked her to make up a design that fits the overall theme, it turned out great! Just make sure changes happen before setting the polish in the UV lamp, so the design can be fixed. Overall great experience! read more

Best gel manicures and pedicures EVER. Hailey, Eric and Bill are my go to for my gels. The nail prep, the SHAPING of the nails and the gel application is impeccable. The gel stays on, which is why I posted a picture of my gels 3 weeks later...no peeling, no lifting or hair getting caught on my nails..still in good shape. The gel removal is great too, they never damage my nail bed or thin it out. Myself as well as my sisters, friends and family have been following them now from 3 different locations. They are the best!! Highly recommend all three of them equally and interchangeably for gel manicures and pedicures! I drive 40 minutes from home for their work, the best.
