I'm currently in the search for a new nail tech because my regular one moved far from me so I decided to try this salon because of the 4 star review but I feel like I was robbed. :( I paid $75 for both gel mani and pedi and I feel like they could've done better. The sides of the nails in my hand were not cleaned up properly. I could tell that the polish they used is old already because it wasn't so smooth to apply when the guy was doing it. :( after they removed the gel, I feel like they didn't buff it enough and there were still some of the old polish stuck. In other salons they would usually buff it nice and smooth. I will not come back here again. Props though for being able to accommodate me, but it's probably because the quality is not really good. Great hole in the wall nail salon! I've only ever gotten my toes done and every time my nails look neatly shaped and color lasts. Prices are not expensive, sometimes u don't need to go to those fancy places. The only con is the color selection. I don't know if I'd be able to trust them with intricate designs. I also got waxed here and I noticed she doesn't do anything to alleviate pain. However, she got the job done for like $12 so I'll be going again. read more

This is my FAVORITE place to get my nails done! Emily and Wynn are the best. Emily always does my gel polish and it lasts WEEKS without chipping! she's also done my acrylics and introduced me to dip powder. Emily and Win ( owners) are lovely people and both do a great job with pedicures and acrylic nails. My nails last for 4 weeks between manicures ( longer for the pedicure if I wanted but it is easier to have both done at the same time.) HIGHLY recommend. Been coming here for YEARS. In a pinch ( while traveling) I have used a nail salon in San Diego, Santa Barbara and Portland, OR and been very disappointed because I could only go about 2 weeks before needing Emily to fix their work. read more

I called because I was in desperate need of a manicure. Two of my extensions had fallen off and I remove them at home and my hands are looking terrible. I called several salons and everyone said that they were booked but called the lady nails called me back 45 minutes later and asked if I could come in because they had an opening which I thought was very gracious. They gave me a gel Mani and a regular pedicure and all the services were OK. I wish the cleanup of the gel on the sides of my nails would've been a little bit cleaner. I'm not one to post reviews, especially negative. I've been getting my nails done for years & have never experienced breakage like this. My nail tech was unavailable so I booked an appointment here last minute based on the reviews. I've now had my 5th nail break completely and am certain it's because of the overuse of the nail drill on my nails. Painful during the process itself and I have not had a tech use this to remove former polish as it is usually soaked in acetone and then removed with a proper tool. Worst nail salon I have ever visited. Called and asked for a 7pm appointment, and the lady said they close at 7pm but could take us anyway. We walk in exactly at 7pm. The guy asks us to choose our colors at the polish racks, and the woman comes out from the back one minute later and actually snaps at us- "Stop that and sit down! You're taking too long. Go sit in the chair." Wow. There were 3 other customers in the salon, and the place is now dead silent. This lady was nothing but rude during the entire time we got our mani-pedis. At one point, she goes, "Don't ask me to fix it. We don't have time for you to talk." I've never been talked to this way in my life, especially at a salon. If you couldn't take us at 7pm, why did you offer to stay open late? Even more so, they don't have mani stations. You can only sit in massage pedicure chairs, and manicures get done while seated at a weird angle. The rude lady doing my nails (turns out she's the owner!) kept twisting my arm to do my nails. And she would yank my arm and fingers into position. Ouch. Honestly, we should have left the first moment she snapped at us. The service was terrible, and the mani-pedis were so rushed. It has been one week and my gel polish has already peeled on two nails. I really wish we had left. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. Very pleased with how Wynn did my nails. Yes, he does take longer than your usual hour person, but honestly he does SUCH A METICULOUS JOB, these nails are very very close to the picture I should him as a sample of my shape , my nails loook so good, no bumps, no sharp edges, they will be so firm and feel so secure even after weeks. Keep in mind I have long acrylics, so they are more likely to break or lift sooner, but I have had this for 3 weeks and they are still strong, not lifted ion the sides and shiny. Needed a fill and one nail replaced. Had 9 other nails still in perfect condition. He placed the tip and acrylic on and went to start filing. I'm not sure what happened. But the nail looks like it belongs in a tiny little creature. It was not even the size of my nail bed. I tried communicating with him about how I wanted it and someone else tried to help me. He then wanted to make all my other nails look like the one he did that I was clearly openly not happy with and I pulled my hand back. We just moved to this area from Pasadena about a month ago and I was in desperate need of a mani/pedi. I Googled a list of local salons in the area to try and get an appointment. I called Saturday morning hoping for availability and Wynn was gracious enough to fit me in late afternoon after offering me several other options to accommodate my schedule. I'm extremely picky with my nails but Wynn did a perfect job with the French nails I asked for and made sure that I was happy with each coat. Started coming here when I moved to La Crescenta. Luckily I found this place through Yelp. They do an immaculate job. It is a bit pricey. They charge extra for French tip, adding glitter, etc. However, my nails always last 4 weeks so the price is worth it to me. The only reason I get them re-done is when they grow out. The customer service is good, especially once they get to know you. I like Emily and the really young girl Lana. Also, there's always street parking which is really convenient. No I DO NOT want special foot scrub. If I didn't already plan to get gel on my nails I'm sure I would've been told to get that because it's better for me. I didn't want to pay $2 for one time use throwaway sandals either so I said NO again... but they ended up just giving them to me for free. However this time around was definitely a completely different experience. First, they were rushing to finish my manicure. As he was finishing up my nails, I noticed a large bubble on my thumb nail. I'm pretty certain he noticed it too and decided to ignore it, so I pointed it out. He fixed it for me, also in a rush to complete. If you want to pay 70 dollars for a mediocre fill then this is the place to go! Around my birthday I paid 46 dollars for a full set that included medium length, coffin shaped, pink acrylic and topped with gel polish. I didn't want to drive far for a fill so I went to the lady nails for the first and last time. She saw that I had pink acrylic powder and tried to put white claiming she didn't have pink. After pointing out to her that my acrylic is pink she said "oh I don't have that color" after replying "ok" she then pulled out the pink acrylic she "didn't have" I believe the lady that assisted me was the owner of the establishment. I understand trying to cut corners for cost but if you are going to charge me more for a fill than I paid for a full set at another shop I would think you would give the customer what they want. Throughout the experience which took a little less than an hour she kept turning my hands in uncomfortable position while have a scowl on her face. Not very friendly and it was my first time there. Then when time to pay she grabbed my card and as she was placing it in the card reader she said "ok 73 dollars and 1 dollar fee for the card." I could not believe it! I told her I have never paid anywhere near 70 dollars for a fill. SCAM! As there is no prices listed on their website. I had someone else call to find out there pricing for a full set. They said full set starts at 60....... So she basically charged me for a full set while being rude and cutting corners. Once she saw how surprised I was at the 73 dollar charge she said ok I'll charge you 65 because I should have told you ahead of time. What?? Yea never again! Wynn is a true, talented artist with acrylic nails! He is so meticulous with his attention to detail and he is a perfectionist, as he says himself. I recently just started doing acrylics a month ago, and the first place I went to, I ended up paying way too much than average so I decided to try this place out, being that it is much closer to my house and has realistic reviews on Yelp. I called to make an appointment and Wynn was very flexible with the day and time, being that I was able to choose when I wanted to come in! He was adamant that we couldn't do it on a rainy day because of the powder for the acrylics, so we moved it to the next day which was clear skies for a good ol' stiletto nail session. Keep in mind that every nail technician has a different style with the way they do their acrylic shaping. This time around my stiletto nails are longer in length and sharper on the top. I chose matte black because it lasts longer, and matte nude on both ring fingers with a black design. I am in love with it. Wynn was very patient with me, made sure I was comfortable and happy with the outcome, and was open to fixing any of the smallest parts I wasn't happy with. The whole process took about 2 and a half hours with the quickest and most detailed work of all. Parking is street or their lot. Don't mind the 2 hour parking sign, you will not get towed. Workers are all super nice with smiles on their faces, you really feel comfortable that they know what they're doing! And they do!
