I shouldve read the reviews... i came in here considering it was down the street from my job i was in no rush and very specific that i wanted full set acrylic they pushed for gel x, okay no problem i. Needed them short for work of course and they didnt seem too thrilled that i said short so before the guy starts he tells me to go wash my hands im thinking okay theyre a clean salon.. hmm well the guy starts no gloves no sanitizer.. weird since you NEED me to wash my hands upon arrival.. okay he starts applying them and im looking at them because they feel tight some of my fingers were squished also i said short coffin and of course theyre square the guy goes im gonna file them just wait okay fine.. now once theyre all applied i CAN CLEARLY TELL two of them are crooked guy again goes ima file them ugh at that point i new i wasnt gonna be leaving happy so when i tell him my colors he goes that one isnt really that color ugh w.e let me pick another one i guess when he finally finished no wiping the nails with alcohol no lotion cuticle oil just his dirty hands and he him saying okay im over it because two freaking nails are crooked not going back if we literally pay for a service it shouldn't be a hassle to accommodate you customers read more

Decided to give this place a try after picking up a pizza next door. Just went in for a quick pedicure. The place was pretty busy when I arrived, but was seated right away. The young lady who assisted me was finishing up another pedicure. Now on to me! She began clipping my toe nails and I felt some pain. She was cutting them too close! Damn near cut my toes off. I felt compelled to write a review for this nail salon. I have been coming here for the last 5 years. Not sure why people have given such poor reviews. I have frequented almost every other nail salon in the area and been disappointed (other salons charge and outrageous amount and don't look half as good). Melody Nails has by far been the best. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by your name and immediately catered to. Horrible service. All around. You come in for an appointment that you booked and confirmed on the phone but when you arrive they are not prepared for you OR your party. The women understand a little bit of English and therefore a lot of miscommunication mishaps can happen as far as what you want via pedicure, acrylics, manicure, spa treatment, and so on. They do not attend to where they are needed.... for example my aunt was getting a pedicure and a manicure but they booked they're staff so much that they didn't have another woman to do her manicure as one had begun her pedicure so she ended up canceling her manicure as we didn't have the time anymore once a nail technician was next available. That stuff should usually be done all at once too that way it doesn't take too much time. I don't know, I gave this place a third try (this being my third time) within a year and I'm not impressed. Love Melody Nails! Loved their old salon and love the new one even more. I get acrylic fills, change my set every other visit, pedicures every time, and special polishes (flowers and other designs). I have had some big toenail issues in the past but Tina keeps me from having that issue anymore. Everyone that works at Melody gives 100% attention to the customer. And I would like to ask it is such a clean shop... they disinfect everything every single day. Highly recommend. read more

I have been coming here for 15 years. The owners, Mr. Lee and his wife have only gotten sweeter and more friendly through the years. They are such sweet people with big hearts. Aside from the friendly staff, their workmanship is incredible. Tom, Lee and Linda do amazing gel and Linda has given me the best pedicure package I've ever had in my 30 years. My mom has a mancurisnt come to the house twice a month but I refuse to skip out on going in and visiting Mr. Lee. He's so cute! He speak some Armenian and it is adorable. Love this place! Eureka!!! I've finally found a great nail salon close to me. This place is very clean and the front desk was very professional. Tina did my manicure while another woman (whose name I didn't get) did my pedicure. They were both very precise and delicate, I was able to relax through the entire mani/pedi. Also, I decided to splurge a bit and added on ten minutes of extra arm massaging. HEAVEN. Tina has incredible hands, my arms and shoulders got a deep, thorough massage. I really can't say enough about this woman. Not to mention she's very pleasant and friendly. read more

The older man TOM... left dried up acrylic powder all over my hands and left them so sharp and they're all asymmetrical...he also cut my ring finger and it bled...he was very angry the whole time and after he finished the color he told me "you can go home"...I don't know why he had a stick up his ass...save your money and please go to an actual good salon where the employees are actually professional and went to school for this because I could even do my nails better... ew I'm so embarrassed they kept trying to charge me extra for regular ass nails cuz I wanted coffin and he said it was more and normally I get that everywhere else but then I decided you know what it's only $27 for regular I'll do it but they charged me $43 at the end cuz I wanted regular and no it wasn't too late...and this isn't gel! I have come here off and on for a few years. every time I return I always wonder why I go anywhere else. they are in a new space (same shopping center just a different store front) and it is a major improvement. they always do a great job, I usually see tommy but I am not sure if he is still doing clients. just took my 3 year old in for just polish and they did a great job! not only do her nails look super cute but all the employees were so sweet, talking with her and chatting and playing with my other little girl (16 months old, no polish for her yet). it is not a super fancy pants place but it is clean and the people are always nice, genuinely nice. I never come for my nails anymore because I always had a bad experience with them, but I was a regular for waxing. there is no point in making an appointment because they never follow through and they have me waiting a good 30 minutes. I went to this place today to do manicure, jell refill and pedicure. i was so disappointed for the job that they did. i paid extra for leg massage that it took her less than two minutes. Three people checked my nail's jell to figure out if they are my nails or they are acrylic. It seemed they were not familiar with nail jell. Eventually the "expert" Tom came in and started "analyzing" my nails. Finally, after buffing the first layer off, he believed that those are my natural nails. (not like I have great nails, my nails are the worst nail ever, so fragile). He started the work but It looked like he was upset (not sure the reason). He hurt my finger tips couple times. He was so rough with my fingers, pulling and pushing like he was getting revenge from whoever did my nails first. . I told him to do my nail tips round but he filed them almost oval.He applied the polish (dark burgundy) so messy. The lady who did my pedicure finished the job and left without helping me to put on my flip flops and when I was wearing them I hurt my toe so little. I asked her if she can fix it. She handed me the nail polish so Tom would fix it. It looked like they started arguing about who should do it. I was standing in the middle of the salon, polish in my hand to see who will "win". Tom won and the girl had to fix my toe. They charged me $52 and I tipped them $12. I left the salon very angry. read more

Let me tell you how picky I am with my nails and it's very hard for me to find a new nail salon to go to after a move. I have lived in the La Crescenta area for nearly 3 years now and this is my go to nail salon. Nancy is my nail tech and she is amazing. She is always listening to what I want and need and doesn't do what she wants to do. The entire staff are super nice and considerate. You're always greeted when you walk in and walk out. I came in for a Mani/Pedi with my sister. I had my maincure done by Lee and not sure who did my pedicure. Lee was very personable and did a great job and the lady who did my pedicure did a good job as well. I don't think she spoke English so I didn't grab her name. The price and service is excellent. I took my daughter to get a manicure and the lady didn't follow our requests. We told her not to cut my daughter's nails too short and she did. Plus, they were not cut evenly.
