We past by this place several l times and decided to eat there. I got the orange chicken which had way too much sauce. My wife got the shrimp fried rice and it simply tasted like someone dropped the salt shaker in her food. The egg rolls were delish. Nice addition to this side of Mesquite. Supper friendly staff. Offer free taste and lots of options. We did the Create Your Plate option. Good price. Food had good flavors and seemed to be made from quality ingredients. Much better choice than some fast food Chinese places. We tried sesame chicken, orange chicken, Gen. Tso chicken, chicken & broccoli, and peppered chicken. It was all worth coming back for. And we will be back. The guy in front of us requested a customized dish for health reasons and they were very willing to meet his desires. Only thing we saw that needed improvement was egg roll. Really good. First timer here and I had said I don't eat much meat and they suggested a dish. Went with it and it's really tasty to my surprise. I did over hear them saying to my husband if there is anything not on the menu, they will take suggestions. Here is mine, I hope you take it because I will definitely become a regular. My daughter, the kids and I stopped by today after reading the reviews. We were looking forward to eating there. We walked in and went up to the counter and started looking over the menu. I stated to her I am going to have my usual dish, which is chicken teriyaki and the lady behind the counter told me we are out. I started looking at the menu again and the lady asked us if we are taking it to go. We said no, we were planning on eating there. She then proceeded to tell me they were closing early due to the storm. The storm had already passed. it wasn't even 4 pm yet. We left and went elsewhere. On the way back home we passed them and saw cars in the lot. I called them and asked them what time they closed and they said 8pm. I was so excited to see a Chinese restaurant opened walking distance from my house! Went for dinner around 8pm. Food available for pick your own plate was fresh and we were greeted with samples. The samples were good. But I was in the mood for something out of the norm for me. You can also order from the menu as well. At which was cooked to order. I had the jalapeno beef with fried rice and egg drop soup. My wife had the bourbon chicken and sesame chicken with white rice, noodles and egg roll. My wife said it was good and would be back. I loved the jalapeno beef! The beef was so tender and the dish was flavor. The veggies could have been cooked a little longer. But that didnt bother me as I love veggies either way. The fried rice was tasty same with the egg drop soup. The fried noodles for the soup were very tasty. I would in the future order fried noodles to take home. I got to know the owners a little bit and that was nice. The daughter and I Gi (forgive if I spelled it wrong) talked for quiet some time and that was nice as I do not experience that very often. She came around and asked all the patrons how they are enjoying the Ford. She listened attentively even if it was some criticism. We had none as the food was excellent. Great food! They let you sample before you buy. Everything has a good flavor. The prices are very reasonable. Just $5.49 and add $1 if you want 2 entrees. They give you enough to share, but I always buy 2 because they are a local small business. It's worth trying because of the price. My fave Chinese food in this area. Super fresh chicken. We go for 5akw out every Friday. The mother daughter duo really gives mom and pop shop vibes. Love to support local businesses. My only complaint is their lack of variety of vegetables in their veggie dishes. The veggie lo mien doesn't have mini corn, water chestnut, or mushrooms. But besides that, perfect! A hidden jewel I must say. Why nobody tell me about how good this Chinese/Japanese food is? It's banging y'all. I ordered hunan chicken, egg drop soup and an egg roll. Let me start off with the egg drop soup that I'm going back to get when they open. It was amazing. The best egg drop soup I've ever had. The main course was scrumptious. The flavor and seasoning was just right. The soup and egg roll comes separate which brings me to say I think the egg roll should be larger since it does not come with the meal like I've had in the past. The egg roll is basically what they give you when it's included with the meal but that's okay cuz I'm ordering 2 today Lol. Y'all have to try it and come back and tell everyone what you think. Oh yeah I asked about kimchi because I watch this family on Facebook eating it all the time and they make it look so good and she stated she will talk to the owner about placing it on the menu. Yay!!! I can't wait to try some of he approves. I almost forgot about everyone else that ordered that day, my hubby had chicken lomein and he said it was great. The owner is very friendly and down-to-earth. I do believe these are my favorite cheese wontons (otherwise called crab rangoons) in the area. And definitely my favorite fried dumplings....really fried! You won't be disappointed. We ate there a 3rd time last night and it was divine!!!! However, she shared with us that they are closing until the quarantine passes. Their food is based on very fresh, local supplies and they are not able to get them at this time.
