Food was mediocre. I was disappointed by the egg roll. I asked if it was a large or small. The lady said it was large however it was the size of a spring roll and barely had anything in it. It was supposed to be chicken egg roll. It was mostly egg roll wrap. It was very tough and chewy. Orange chicken was crispy, hot and tender. Flavor could have been better though Fried rice was bland Service was ok. I was in and out in 10 minutes Ambiance- Inside reataraunt was plain. About 8 booths. Nothing special

Friendly, prompt service. Very clean dining and restrooms. Limited dine in seating. I ordered jalapeño shrimp and a coke. $18 (including a $3 tip) Shrimp was cooked well, sauce had way too much oil. Rice was over cooked, a bad thing for an Asian restaurant to over or undercook rice. Decent portion. I would try them again, maybe an off day with the rice.

General TSO, Fried rice and sweet and sour sauce

Food was decent. Order General TSO with fried rice and Fried Cheese Wonton. Fried rice lacked flavor and rice was still soft, didn't really taste fried and had no flavor. Fried Cheese Wonton taste like cream cheese in a wonton. Sweet and sour sauce it came with taste like soap. Only thing decent was the General TSO, this actually had flavor. Don't see me going back tho.

If I could give it a zero I would, we tried this off the recommendation of a friend and we are thoroughly disappointed. We took one bite and knew it was time to pick up the phone and go with our faithful restaurant. I don't want to discount any other reviews however, for my wife and I we simply won't be coming back. There's no worse feeling than to throw away money on food you don't like.

So after living in Mesquite already a year I have decided to give these guys another try since there is not many Chinese joints around here. But my technic is to call and order ahead, I strongly advise you do. Their food has been really good and flavorful and made in great time. Three Yuan Join is hands down one of the best Chinese spots in the DFW metroplex. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a hello and a smile. We ordered the orange chicken with fried rice and the beef lo mein, and both dishes were nothing short of amazing. The orange chicken was perfectly crispy with a tangy-sweet sauce that wasn't overpowering. The fried rice was flavorful, with each grain cooked to perfection. The beef lo mein was equally impressive--tender beef, fresh vegetables, and noodles with just the right amount of chew. The service was quick and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. I will definitely be back to explore more of their menu. If you do order you may want to get your food to go because the restaurant was hot, but If you're in the DFW area and craving some top-notch Chinese cuisine, Three Yuan Join should be at the top of your list. read more

It was good enough. I had the pepper chicken and my son had Mongolian beef. No ambience inside. Looks like their main business is takeout. Prices have gone up from those posted. Most meals in the $9.99 to $12.99 range. Egg rolls were separate. Canned drinks only. I really prefer fountain self serve! Total bill was $31 bucks. Food quality was very decent overall. The food was good EXCEPT they shortchanged me: I ordered Sesame Chicken and they gave me chicken with NO Sesame seeds......Not what I ordered. I asked for two packages of Sweet Sauce and one Pckage of Hot Mustard and only got one package of Hot Mustard. They are Pennywise for scrimping to save money by not giving me what I ordered and Pound Foolish for all the pounds I could have eaten as a regular customer if they had only given me what I ordered. If I could rate this place a 0, I absolutely would. They have the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I previously ordered some orange chicken with steamed rice and an egg roll. The steamed rice and egg roll smacked; it was so good. On the other hand, their orange chicken was not good. The sauce tasted odd that day but I thought it was me not liking it so much, so I continued to eat it. I took a bite of my food and I felt something hard grind my teeth. I took out what looked like a little seed, but once I inspected it further, it was a rock. There were tiny rocks all over my orange chicken. I immediately felt sick to my stomach. I called them and explained what I had found in my food and they tried to dismiss what I was saying. They did not offer me a refund, but instead offered me credit for a meal. Why would anyone in their right minds go back and eat food that had literal rocks. At first this place was decent, but it has gone downhill. read more

I have no idea how this place has a high yelp rating, maybe I gave it a try on an off day. The chicken was low quality, greasy, and not flavorful at all. The stemmed rice was over cooked and you could tell it wasn't freshly cooked. The inside looks like it's been ran down for years and not clean. The service though was very nice but unfortunately I will not be back. read more

Delicious American-style Chinese food! We tried the kung pao chicken and shrimp lo mein. Both dishes were good, but we preferred the kung pao. I recommend taking out. The smell of grease is really strong in the restaurant. read more

Can't say enough about this place. Everything is done perfectly. Portions are extremely generous. Definately a hidden gem in Mesquite. Ordered the spicy beef with jalapeños and noodles. Perfect and their noodles are the best in town, probably the DFW area. Always a good take out option in the Winter, as it's so warm. But don't just let it be just in winter time. This place needs to thrive and the folks are really nice and hard working as well. This is and has been my go to place for the past few years. read more

My fiancé and I were traveling from Denver to Louisiana and wanted something a little different. When pulling up and walking it I was a little nervous until the sweet employee brought us our food. I ordered the combination fried rice. Their fried rice type is stirred fried with soy sauce. I am a big fan of fried rice and have tried many places. The soy sauce style is okay in my experience. If you prefer the soy sauce style, give it a try. The orange chicken was tasty so I give this place a 4 stars because of it. read more

Very disappointing: fried rice with no egg / veggies, overcooked dry orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp absolutely disgusting with 0 walnuts. It was actually inedible the sauce was so bad. Don't even serve filtered water just tap water. Will not return, don't trust the reviews. Panda Express is better and cheaper. read more

What I received was the Mongolian beef. I didn't want to wait on them to fix the right entree, so I ate it. It was okay. I ordered water with lemon and I guess they were out of lemons.... We were watching them take forks out of the dishwasher and place them into a pitcher of clear liquid. Not sure what that was about. My wife got the chicken lomein and the chicken was soggy and greasy, she only had a few bites. Brought it home, and my 17yo son wouldn't even eat it. I really liked this place when it opened. Now it is struggling. I will not be back for a while. Only acceptable Asian in that area is Oishi Raman IMHO. I hope Forney gets some decent places with the new Gateway additions.

I used to be a regular customer at this place and had many positive experiences in the past. However, after over a year of not ordering from them, I recently decided to give it another try. Sadly, it did not live up to my expectations. I ordered a variety of menu items, and the only one that lived up to its reputation was the orange chicken. As always, it was full of flavor, with tender and well-sized chunks of chicken. However, the rest of the menu left much to be desired. The lo mein was particularly disappointing, as it was dry and lacked the usual flavor that I had come to expect.
