Food was mediocre. I was disappointed by the egg roll. I asked if it was a large or small. The lady said it was large however it was the size of a spring roll and barely had anything in it. It was supposed to be chicken egg roll. It was mostly egg roll wrap. It was very tough and chewy. Orange chicken was crispy, hot and tender. Flavor could have been better though Fried rice was bland Service was ok. I was in and out in 10 minutes Ambiance- Inside reataraunt was plain. About 8 booths. Nothing special

But my technic is to call and order ahead, I strongly advise you do. Their food has been really good and flavorful and made in great time. Food was decent. Order General TSO with fried rice and Fried Cheese Wonton. Fried rice lacked flavor and rice was still soft, didn't really taste fried and had no flavor. Fried Cheese Wonton taste like cream cheese in a wonton. Sweet and sour sauce it came with taste like soap. Only thing decent was the General TSO, this actually had flavor. Don't see me going back tho.

Three Yuan Join is hands down one of the best Chinese spots in the DFW metroplex. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a hello and a smile. We ordered the orange chicken with fried rice and the beef lo mein, and both dishes were nothing short of amazing. The orange chicken was perfectly crispy with a tangy-sweet sauce that wasn't overpowering. The fried rice was flavorful, with each grain cooked to perfection. The beef lo mein was equally impressive--tender beef, fresh vegetables, and noodles with just the right amount of chew. The service was quick and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. I will definitely be back to explore more of their menu. If you do order you may want to get your food to go because the restaurant was hot, but If you're in the DFW area and craving some top-notch Chinese cuisine, Three Yuan Join should be at the top of your list. read more

It was good enough. I had the pepper chicken and my son had Mongolian beef. No ambience inside. Looks like their main business is takeout. Prices have gone up from those posted. Most meals in the $9.99 to $12.99 range. Egg rolls were separate. Canned drinks only. I really prefer fountain self serve! Total bill was $31 bucks. Food quality was very decent overall. The food was good EXCEPT they shortchanged me: I ordered Sesame Chicken and they gave me chicken with NO Sesame seeds......Not what I ordered. I asked for two packages of Sweet Sauce and one Pckage of Hot Mustard and only got one package of Hot Mustard. They are Pennywise for scrimping to save money by not giving me what I ordered and Pound Foolish for all the pounds I could have eaten as a regular customer if they had only given me what I ordered. If I could rate this place a 0, I absolutely would. They have the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I previously ordered some orange chicken with steamed rice and an egg roll. The steamed rice and egg roll smacked; it was so good. On the other hand, their orange chicken was not good. The sauce tasted odd that day but I thought it was me not liking it so much, so I continued to eat it. I took a bite of my food and I felt something hard grind my teeth. I took out what looked like a little seed, but once I inspected it further, it was a rock. There were tiny rocks all over my orange chicken. I immediately felt sick to my stomach. I called them and explained what I had found in my food and they tried to dismiss what I was saying. They did not offer me a refund, but instead offered me credit for a meal. Why would anyone in their right minds go back and eat food that had literal rocks. At first this place was decent, but it has gone downhill. read more

I have no idea how this place has a high yelp rating, maybe I gave it a try on an off day. The chicken was low quality, greasy, and not flavorful at all. The stemmed rice was over cooked and you could tell it wasn't freshly cooked. The inside looks like it's been ran down for years and not clean. The service though was very nice but unfortunately I will not be back. read more

If I could give it a zero I would, we tried this off the recommendation of a friend and we are thoroughly disappointed. We took one bite and knew it was time to pick up the phone and go with our faithful restaurant. I don't want to discount any other reviews however, for my wife and I we simply won't be coming back. Can't say enough about this place. Everything is done perfectly. Portions are extremely generous. Definately a hidden gem in Mesquite. Ordered the spicy beef with jalapeños and noodles. Perfect and their noodles are the best in town, probably the DFW area. Always a good take out option in the Winter, as it's so warm. But don't just let it be just in winter time. This place needs to thrive and the folks are really nice and hard working as well. This is and has been my go to place for the past few years. read more

I ordered the combination fried rice. Their fried rice type is stirred fried with soy sauce. I am a big fan of fried rice and have tried many places. The soy sauce style is okay in my experience. If you prefer the soy sauce style, give it a try. The orange chicken was tasty so I give this place a 4 stars because of it. read more

The sliced beef was an appropriate thickness and had an appropriate amount of fat. I've had this dish multiple times at other restaurants and unfortunately some of them have thick cuts of meat that are very lean. The consistency of the udon was al dente, and the curry broth was not too thick either. I got the nikutama soba this time around and the egg was perfect and flavorful! I used to be a regular customer at this place and had many positive experiences in the past. However, after over a year of not ordering from them, I recently decided to give it another try. Sadly, it did not live up to my expectations. I ordered a variety of menu items, and the only one that lived up to its reputation was the orange chicken. As always, it was full of flavor, with tender and well-sized chunks of chicken. However, the rest of the menu left much to be desired. The lo mein was particularly disappointing, as it was dry and lacked the usual flavor that I had come to expect. It's disheartening to see a decline in the quality of the food that was once a favorite of mine. It's so easy to place a to-go order and get it within 10-20 minutes. You get chicken/pork/veggie entrees for $6.45 or beef/shrimp/mixed meat for $7.39. They have a drive thru so place your order online and pick up without having to go inside. They use the same white cheap styrofoam to go containers for everything that you normally get at restaurants. So if you get an entree, they fill the largest section (front half) with your entree and give two scoops of your choice of white or fried rice in those sections for the sides in the back half of the container. The white rice is a 100 times better than the brown rice, pretty sure they just mix white rice with soy sauce in a pan and call it a day for their brown rice. Basically I don't want any rice and would much rather have the entire container filled with my entree item because it feels like I'm getting ripped off this way with getting all the rice. The most worth it menu options that give you the most for your money are their fried rices and noodles, they fill the entire container and don't give you any scoops of rice. The shrimp fried rice and spicy chicken Lo-Mein are the BEST. As for the entrees they give with the two scoops of rice, the Sesame chicken is sweet and the General Tso is sweet and spicy- I like both! Another family favorite is Kung Pao Chicken because it also comes with a ton of crunchy vegetables and savoury sauce. If their dumplings are on sale GET IT. Only $2.99 for a small container of fried or steamed dumplings with the saltiest soy sauce you'll ever have. The fried biscuits are little fried soft biscuits tossed lightly in sugar. Crab Rangoon was not good, way too much crab. Stay away from their Sweet and Sour Sauce- think synthetic pink. Would definitely come here again, but not because I crave it. This is a, too lazy to cook, but don't want to spend too much kind of mood establishment.
