This is a great place to eat Sushi in Forney. Their weekday lunch specials are a great value!

This place is really going down hill. My wife and I ate here for lunch, on a Wednesday. We were sat, and waited 12 min for drinks while we were assaulted by cigarette smoke coming from the back. Apparently, some of the staff were smoking with the back door open. We almost left, and I wish we would have. The waitress didn't want to be there. It was almost like we were bothering her by being there. I ordered the Mongolian chicken lunch. What I received was the Mongolian beef. I didn't want to wait on them to fix the right entree, so I ate it. It was okay. I ordered water with lemon and I guess they were out of lemons.... We were watching them take forks out of the dishwasher and place them into a pitcher of clear liquid. Not sure what that was about. My wife got the chicken lomein and the chicken was soggy and greasy, she only had a few bites. Brought it home, and my 17yo son wouldn't even eat it. I really liked this place when it opened. Now it is struggling. I will not be back for a while. Only acceptable Asian in that area is Oishi Raman IMHO. I hope Forney gets some decent places with the new Gateway additions. read more

One of the newer Asian restaurants in Forney. I've eaten here three times, once in person & the other two times ordered takeout. The inside is well structured for those who want to sit at the bar to eat alone or to sit in booths around the room. Decor is nice, lighting on the moody side & the restrooms were clean. When I did dine in I will say it took over 10 minutes before the server even acknowledged me, so I wasn't a fan of that. Although I may not have been assigned to the other servers they could've offered a drink or grabbed the gentleman to let him know I was sitting there, but all chose to just smile and walk by until he arrived (which is why I'm rating them a 4/5). When it comes to the food you can't go wrong with anything they offer. I personally love nigiri, so that's what I've continued to order from them and it's been fresh & flavorful each time. It's better to dine in for your first experience because they have a list of different fish you can choose from that isn't available to view online when you order to-go. I also think it's better to come in person as they do have quite the happy hour selection. The fried rice, beef skewers, edamame etc are all great options and portion sizes that will leave you satisfied. I didn't try any of their alcoholic beverages, but I'm sure those are just as good. This was my first time trying this out. I'm not going to lie, I'm slightly disappointed. The crab rangoon tasted like it was air fried, the calamari was pretty good, chicken karaage should have a lighter batter (it was giving tough chicken nuggets) and the Ahi tower & Dragon ball were basically the same thing which was a waste of money. I'm glad I tried it but I won't go back. For the price I paid I expected top notch quality whether I'm at the restaurant or got it delivered. read more

First thank you for being open on Christmas ! Second what a great restaurant. Picked up some to go food after a long day away from home. Service was great and friendly. Inside tables were clean and the "fireplace" accents were special. And the food was fantastic. General TSO's chicken I should have asked for sauce in the side for the travel but it held up nicely until we got home. Gyoza were delicious and the fried rice was some of the best I have had. Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening and had a pleasant dinning experience. I ordered the egg rolls for my appetizer and the orange chicken for my entree. The egg rolls came out pretty quickly, they were piping hot and very flavorful. The orange chicken was delivered not to long after receiving the egg rolls. The chicken was prepared well but the sauce lacked depth. Overall I was pleased with my experience and look forward to coming back to try more menu options. read more

I just ordered from door dash and I was so disappointed by the food today. I always used to get the Singapore rice noodles and it was delicious in the past but my last 3 orders have tasted terrible. I don't know why is going on but the food smells bad now. Smells old and tasteless. I tried to give it 2 or 3 orders to see if I was delusional but I am not. The food has changed. The taste is not the same anymore. I called and spoke to the manager and gave her feedback. She mentioned the chef is kind of new so I hope they teach him how to make the food taste better. I don't think I will be ordering from here again. It's so sad I used to love their noodles but the taste has changed. The manager was very nice and offered to replace it but I refused due to being afraid to eat the food. I hope my stomach does not hurt after eating this one. My wife took me here for dinner. It is a mixture of sushi and Chinese food. We ordered quite a bit of food from the scallop teriyaki, honey walnut shrimp, some sushi platters. We got miso soup and salad with the meal. This used to be the mod pizza place, but when you go inside you can hardly notice it was. They painted the walls black, but has a nice ambience with the fake flames. Food overall is pretty good and the prices are not too bad and affordable. read more

First time trying this place. Was a bit disappointed. Appetizers were lukewarm, like it was maybe frozen items and just microwaved. The order was a bit all over the place and a requested add on wasn't added in, I wasn't going to argue about the $1 charge. It's just attention to detail. This was my first time here no one greeted me. There were six people around the bar, just staring at me. Finally, someone came and gave me a menu. I had to ask for something to drink. We always go to Koiyama when we want sushi. We moved to Forney from the heart of Dallas a couple of years ago and the other sushi spots were okay but when Koiyama opened up they took the cake! Their roles are always fresh and tasty, we love the Hawaii role. My only complaint about this place is the drinks- they need to do something about the pipes the water comes in but the food is excellent. read more

I had a great first experience here! We came for lunch on a Sunday- it was busy but the service was fast. The miso soup is super good (I'm somewhat of a miso soup snob) and the shaggy dog roll I got was DELICIOUS! My husband got spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls, and he made a comment about how much meat was in both. We will definitely be back!
