This is a very small, quaint local spot. Very friendly with fast service. You order at the counter. My Husband and I popped into Sushi Box Rockwall for a lunch date on a sunny Sunday. With a craving for sushi and a sprinkle of adventure, we ordered two rolls: the Green Dragon with added cream cheese and the spicy tuna with--you guessed it--added cream cheese. Downside: No soda machine! They do sell bottles, but come on, it's just not the same. I mean, who doesn't love that fizzy nectar of the gods with their sushi? Also, they charge for any extra sauces like eel or spicy mayo. Sauce is life, people! Despite the lack of my beloved soda fountain and the sauce stinginess, we've been here multiple times and even braved the world of DoorDash delivery. They never disappoint. Upside: The place is always cleaner than my kitchen after I've had my morning coffee. The staff? Super nice. The kind that make you question if you should be nicer in your everyday life. I couldn't begin to tell yall which roll is which but I know we got a Rainbow roll, Alaskan roll, Louisiana roll, Fire dragon roll, and a King dragon roll. And let me tell y'all it was some pretty darn good sushi me personally I liked the roll with the fresh salmon on top more than others, I had never had sushi with eel in it so it was something new and it wasn't bad just not my fav I wouldn't get it again personally. I had never had scallop either and that was really good, I had never tried fresh tuna on top of some sushi like that and I wasn't really a fan of the fishy taste afterwards but it was good overall. I would definitely come to this place again tho to try some more rolls! read more

For the prices, this is as good as you can get in this area. Sushi is always fresh and ready quickly when I place an order here. I was on a sushi kick for most of the summer and was honestly getting it once or twice a week on takeout for lunch, and I never have to wait more than 5 to 10 minutes for pickup. I appreciate that they offer a scaling discount when you order 2, 3, or 5 special rolls, and This discount is honestly what keeps me coming here over Sushi Go which is actually a little closer to home. I wish other sushi places would do the same discounts. As far as selection goes, it's decently varied, but the rolls could be a little bit more interesting and feature more types of fish. Seems like shrimp tempura, fake crab stick, and spicy tuna are featured in a majority of the rolls. Overall, this is a solid place to get sushi in Rockwall and I'll continue going there until something dramatically better becomes available. read more

My wife picked up sushi here today. Usually it's totally fine but they've been training new hires and clearly not training them well. She placed her order over the phone and then paid in store. Only to find out later of the two things she ordered, one was missing a California roll and a salad (basically half the order). Whatever, she chalked it up to things happening and we weren't going to do anything about it, mistakes happen and we were already out of rockwall when she noticed. More trouble then it was worth in the moment. She mentioned that the guy at the counter was struggling, with one of the customers talking him in detail through his order to actually get it packed up so he could leave (it was all there just sprawled across the counter) so maybe her abilities to see red flags is less than ideal. However she then got 4 (four!) calls from sushi box. Apparently, the kid (it was his first day) at the counter had some trouble with the register (something that wouldn't happen if they were trained on their first day- crazy idea). He apparently accidentally cancelled the order so the card didn't go through, and so they hounded my wife till she picked up the phone and then had he read her card info to them. She did get like 6 dollars off for the missing food. So 2 stars i guess. I know it's hard training new people, but show some care when you're training them, and when they make mistakes, which happen, chalk the missing money up as training fodder and maybe don't call the person over and over till they pick up. Voicemails do exist... and perhaps are the professional solution to this. read more

I tried sushi box for the first time and it has been the best sushi I have tried in Rockwall! I got the King dragon roll which was a California roll with baked eel and avocado on top, and a spicy crunch t roll with spicy tuna and shrimp tempura with eel sauce and spicy mayo. They were both amazing and high quality. My family ordered a variety of rolls and everyone was very happy with the quantity and taste. They labeled each roll for me, and the take out process was very easy. Definitely will be coming back for more! read more
