Mix of Nigiri and California roll. Fresh & Delicious!
    La'Tressa G.

One of the newer Asian restaurants in Forney. I've eaten here three times, once in person & the other two times ordered takeout. The inside is well structured for those who want to sit at the bar to eat alone or to sit in booths around the room. Decor is nice, lighting on the moody side & the restrooms were clean. When I did dine in I will say it took over 10 minutes before the server even acknowledged me, so I wasn't a fan of that. Although I may not have been assigned to the other servers they could've offered a drink or grabbed the gentleman to let him know I was sitting there, but all chose to just smile and walk by until he arrived (which is why I'm rating them a 4/5). When it comes to the food you can't go wrong with anything they offer. I personally love nigiri, so that's what I've continued to order from them and it's been fresh & flavorful each time. It's better to dine in for your first experience because they have a list of different fish you can choose from that isn't available to view online when you order to-go. I also think it's better to come in person as they do have quite the happy hour selection. The fried rice, beef skewers, edamame etc are all great options and portion sizes that will leave you satisfied. I didn't try any of their alcoholic beverages, but I'm sure those are just as good. If you're in the area check them out!

This was my first time trying this out. I'm not going to lie, I'm slightly disappointed. The crab rangoon tasted like it was air fried, the calamari was pretty good, chicken karaage should have a lighter batter (it was giving tough chicken nuggets) and the Ahi tower & Dragon ball were basically the same thing which was a waste of money. I'm glad I tried it but I won't go back. For the price I paid I expected top notch quality whether I'm at the restaurant or got it delivered.

First thank you for being open on Christmas ! Second what a great restaurant. Picked up some to go food after a long day away from home. Service was great and friendly. Inside tables were clean and the "fireplace" accents were special. And the food was fantastic. General TSO's chicken I should have asked for sauce in the side for the travel but it held up nicely until we got home. Gyoza were delicious and the fried rice was some of the best I have had. Thank you looking forward to returning !

Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening and had a pleasant dinning experience. I ordered the egg rolls for my appetizer and the orange chicken for my entree. The egg rolls came out pretty quickly, they were piping hot and very flavorful. The orange chicken was delivered not to long after receiving the egg rolls. The chicken was prepared well but the sauce lacked depth. Overall I was pleased with my experience and look forward to coming back to try more menu options.

My wife took me here for dinner. It is a mixture of sushi and Chinese food. We ordered quite a bit of food from the scallop teriyaki, honey walnut shrimp, some sushi platters. We got miso soup and salad with the meal. This used to be the mod pizza place, but when you go inside you can hardly notice it was. They painted the walls black, but has a nice ambience with the fake flames. Food overall is pretty good and the prices are not too bad and affordable.

Ok, Forney, I don't know what you're doing but we're starting to see a fair share of Chinese/Japanese/Thai restaurants and nail salons! Service was a little slow, sushi is tasty! Doesn't stick out much from the rest, but I WILL SAY this spot seems to have more options! It was a full house that Thursday night, so I'm ecstatic to see this place with some booming business. Koiyama, I plan to return. I'm sure you'll last longer than your space's previous business! #noShade

Hi, my Yelp Foodie Fam, I discovered Must-Visit Gem for Sushi Lovers and More! Koiyama has quickly earned a spot on my list of go-to places for both dine-in and takeout! Let me tell you about my experiences: From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone for a cozy, intimate evening. The sleek black decor paired with rich wood accents felt modern yet romantic--perfect for a night out. The service? Absolutely top-tier. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations, which only enhanced the experience. We started with kitchen appetizers: egg rolls, vegetable spring rolls, rock shrimp, and fried calamari. Each bite was a burst of flavor! The spring rolls and rock shrimp were crisp and well-seasoned, and the egg rolls were a hit. The only minor hiccup? The calamari was a bit tougher than I'd prefer. But hey, with everything else being so delicious, it was a small issue in the grand scheme. The sushi was the real showstopper! We indulged in three of their Signature Rolls: * Texan Roll: Packed with bold, fresh flavors that left us wanting more. * Hot Mama Roll: A fiery favorite with just the right kick. * Angry Dragon Roll: Perfectly balanced with a touch of sweet and spicy. Every roll was beautifully presented and incredibly fresh. We were thoroughly impressed. For our second round with Koiyama, we went the takeout route and they did not disappoint. We ordered: * Vegetable spring rolls * Shrimp fried rice * General Tso's chicken with fried rice * Sweet-and-sour chicken with fried rice Everything traveled well, staying warm and flavorful. The fried rice was perfectly cooked and complemented the crispy, saucy chicken dishes. Koiyama nailed the balance between quality and convenience--an A+ for takeout! Whether you're dining in for sushi or grabbing takeout for a cozy night at home, Koiyama delivers. The outstanding service paired with the delicious food makes this spot a true standout. The only slight room for improvement is in the calamari, but the rest of the meal more than made up for it. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu! If you're in the area, give Koiyama a try. Your taste buds (and the impeccable service) will thank you!

Amazing food and portions! I had the calamari for a starter along with the honey chicken, fried rice, & plain lo mein for main dish. Chicken was tender and flavorful. Service from the beginning to end of our meal was great. Sports/News/Music were on each tv and playing through the speakers. Excellent place to dine and will return!

We decided to give Thai Square a chance, and it didn't disappoint. We did find the sushi rolls a bit expensive, but their buy 2, get 1 for $3 offer kinda balances it out. One day, we came back to try some other items on their menu. The Shrimp Fried Rice and Pad See Eew caught our attention. And boy, were we in for a special treat. Both were amazing! They also included a choice of soup. We tried both soups and were pleasantly surprised. The meals came with steamed rice, which we upgraded to fried rice. Then I noticed two lobster dishes on the menu. One was the Surf and Turf: lobster tail with filet mignon, garlic butter, and brown sauce. The other was the King of the Sea, with lobster tail, salmon, shrimp, and scallops in curry sauce. Both included a choice of soup and steamed rice, and both were fantastic. At $35 each (it's 2026!), I thought they were a pretty good deal, especially considering everything that came with them. I think we've found one of our favorite Thai/Sushi places in the Forney/Dallas area. We'll definitely keep coming back and navigating our way through the menu, hunting for more surprises.

Exterior looks kind of sketchy but interior has a nice Japanese vibe. They have a pretty extensive drinks menu at the front, lots of tables with seats, and 3 tatami tables. They also told us upfront to leave our dishes at the tables after eating for them to clean up afterwards. I ordered a gyudon with raw egg yolk for myself and a loaded fries to share. Loved the interior vibe and decorations. Didn't try the drinks but saw a lot of "matcha" options. I'll have to try that next time.
