Leaving a 2 star because 1 star gets removed. Service was horrible, got ignored when we were trying to pay the bill. Food was just bland and tasted like microwaved left overs. Not to mention that I didn't have my expectations to be high because the menu on their facebook page when you click the link on apple maps shows that their adult lunch special was only 8.99. I ended up paying over $30 for my girlfriend and I. When I showed the outdated menu prices, the guy at the front was ignorant saying it's an old menu which we already knew. I used to love going here but they have changed their plate size for take aways. They made the to go plates way smaller and almost flat in shape. They did that to reduce the amount of food we carry out as customers! I think that is wrong! If you are doing well in business and already charging us for the weight? Why change the size? It's already hard as it is having to do take away! Many of us would like to eat there but we cannot afford to so we are forced to do take away. Now we can't even put the food we want in the plates anymore because the to go plate is smaller. You are trying to make us pay for two plates now instead of being able to fit everything in one plate! That is not right! Pls fix it and go back to your original plates you had for the size of to go plates! Don't try to be greedy and make more money and end up losing customers! After seeing several bad reviews on Yelp for this Asian buffet I was a little hesitant but I'm glad I gave them the benefit of the doubt as I was pleasantly surprised with the good service and tasty food. They have what I would consider to be a competitive variety of buffet dishes comparable to any other buffet in the area. I'm not going to say they are the best Or even close to the best I've ever had but I was happy with what I got for what I paid. I think the orange chicken was probably my favorite dish of my meal. I say I "think" and "probably" because nothing was properly labeled so I don't actually know that I was eating orange chicken I'm just assuming from the flavor that it was orange chicken LOL. That's one of the things they could improve on "properly labeling", Even though they had a good variety of dishes I did notice some Asian buffet Classics missing from the lineup including, dumplings accompanied by dumpling sauce, seaweed salad And soft serve ice cream. With that said they did have real Scoopable ice cream but after witnessing people go in there with their bare hands I wasn't going to touch the stuff. Do not waste your money. Came at 3:30 on a Wednesday. Everything that was supposed to be hot (youd think) was lukewarm/cold. The hibachi chicken, rice noodles, chow mein, hibachi rice, dumplings, honey chicken, cheese scallops, sweet and sour chicken--- BORDERLINE COLD. Even what they were stocking as i was there. No steam coming off of the food. Steam coming off of the water underneath only. The soups were ok. Sushi was ok (at this point i was pretty grossed out in general). The little dessert squares were good. This was on other, much older, reviews as well. The place looked clean. Didnt see bugs. All the complaints people are saying I've NEVER encountered and I've been going here over 5 years. It's weird every one talks about food being cold, never experienced that. One lady states she brought in a food thermometer to test --- if you did -- YOU'RE THE PROBLEM. Never seen a bug in the restaurant in my life. Never had to join a waitlist to be seated, the hostess literally seats you as you walk in. Never had rude service. Most of the waitresses have remembered my face and greet me as they see me. Or if I don't visit in a while, they ask if I've been ok it's been a long time since they've seen me. I've just never experienced anything like what all these comments say. read more

The food was good. Let's see I ate from the Genghis grill. Amazingly it was delicious. But if I ask for spicy, I should get spicy and then regret it. LOL! The service was good and attentive to me and as I watched on they were attentive to other customers. Someone mentioned this place was dirty. But honestly it is just old. The floor is old the walls are fine and the booths and tables are normal. They were cleaning everything nonstop as customers finished up and left. The buffet was messy from food being served but let's be honest here I sometimes make a mess serving myself. So the staff needs to stay on top of cleaning the buffet area which they do. The atmosphere was normal you know lots of people taking and whatnot. Hats off to the waitresses as they are checking on you periodically and are very friendly. I spoke to the manager as I was leaving explaining to her that I enjoyed my food and the restaurant all together. But if you are expecting to be dazzled then you might be disappointed. I do want to add that 15 minutes before closing people were still trying to come in and eat. IGHT, I've been going to this restaurant for YEARS, im being truthful and honest...I've never seen a cockroach in my life in the restaurant. And that food is BOMB.com. I read the reviews, and I had never been to this place before. I read one review about roaches crawling out and should have pulled off from the parking lot and trusted what I read on Yelp. I pulled up, and after deliberating 5 minutes more, I thought, well they offer a balanced menu that is home cooked, so I gave it a chance. However, within 5 minutes of sitting at the table with the luke warm food, I noticed a fat bug on wall coming my way!!! The review I read was TRUE and just 22 days prior to my post! I thought that this one particular person was being biased or perhaps they were mad about something. As soon as I got my plate and set down, there was a 'wobbly roach' that was crawling off of the wall down towards my plate. More disgustingly, when I pointed it out the manager, She tried to tell me "we don't have roaches" and then I pointed to my server and she nodded her head YES...because she killed it. I wish I could leave a negative sign by the star. I've never had to deal with such racist, rude, and disrespectful workers in a restaurant as I did the lady checking me out at the front desk. I was told the wrong info about the prices of the to go food so when I went to pay all hell broke loose. I haven't been here in years, but finally decided to make a visit. This place is nothing like I remembered in my youth. For starter's when you walk in the layout is dated and looks kind of dirty. The food selection is pretty small for a buffet, there's a few variations of chicken dishes and your standard starches (Lo Mein, fried rice, white rice), and they don't anything particularly well. The Mongolian Grill has very few ingredients, the crawfish looked old, and there was a lot of cold "hot food". Service was also very "meh", I don't expect much out of buffet service, but we also never got a refill on our drinks. The redeeming factors were the Crab Rangoon and pepper chicken. My husband and I went to eat there for lunch a couple of weeks ago. I am unsure how all of the food was, because we barely ate. We got our food from the buffet and sat down. Within the first 5 minutes of eating a small roach crawled across my husband's napkin. He immediately noticed and and squished it. We went ahead and kept eating and then ANOTHER roach crawled up from the side of the table towards his soup. We immediately left the table and went to the front to report the issue and ask for a refund. The woman at the front was RUDE and only wanted to refund 1/2 of our food bill and not refund our drinks. My husband argued with her and finally asked for a manager. The manager refunded the food bill, but refused to refund our drinks (which are free refills), "because we drank them". We filed an online Restaurant Complaint with the City of Dallas. Better keep an eye on your table if you choose to eat here to ensure roaches aren't trying to eat your food! read more

Not the best Chinese Buffet I've been to. Food was okay, could use more flavor. There is a good variety of food, I'll give them that. Plenty of fruit and desserts, our waitress was nice. While my friend and I were eating, we noticed that the hosts would sit other customers at very dirty tables. I'm talking about tables not wiped down nor swept, the food would get stepped on by the people sitting at them.
