The food was very bad. I believe that it was made wrong, but when I asked they told me that's just how it should be. The Mongolian beef had chunks of sugar and sugar crystals. It was sticky and so sweet it was gritty and inedible. I called and they told me they didn't care about the fact I had to throw it away. I have never had an experience like it. I would avoid them. I ordered teriyaki chicken to go and paid $14.61 and got a to go box full of broccoli and vegetables and very little chicken. They didn't even put the teriyaki sauce on it and got it on the side. We ordered takeout through door dash when I was too exhausted to leave the house. The Texas heat can be exhausting. Kudos to the delivery drivers. The food was delicious. The egg foo young was good. The low mein was yummy. The spring rolls were great. Everyone loved the egg rolls and soups. The portions were generous. Honestly some of the best take out I've ever had. Second time we've ordered from them and it didn't disappoint. We ordered egg drop soup, orange chicken with steamed rice, chicken lettuce wraps, a side order of lo mein noodles, and a few spring rolls. For a family of four we ate our fill and still have leftovers for tomorrow. I was surprised at how good the lo mein was! Absolutely delicious. Golden Pot is a little further out than we would normally look, but thanks to DoorDash it was an option. This is 100% our go-to take out place from now on! read more

Felt cramped in the pickup area and where restaurant seating was visible it had an under construction vibe without it actually being under construction. This is my new favorite place to go for Chinese food. I have tried their Shrimp Egg Foo Young, Egg Rolls, Crab Rangoon and Fried Rice. I have been meaning to try their Combination Lo Mein, a dish recommended by another customer on my first visit but I'm hooked on the Shrimp Egg Foo Young so it's still on my list to try. Their patties are packed with shrimp and the gravy is delicious. I have never tried their Chicken Egg Rolls but their Vegetable Spring Rolls are very good and not mushy. My husband ordered the General Tso's Chicken and he said it was very good. They also serve Japanese and Thai food. Dine in is temporarily closed but delivery and take out is available. The Lo Mein is exceptional and not just the one with meat the plain steamed lo mein is equally amazing. My son is a picky eater but he loved the orange chicken. The beef and broccoli was great and the brown sauce did not lack flavor! We have order from here twice within the last week. Very friendly & timely! Food was not the very best. Fried rice, we believe was only brown rice, though fresh and not dried out. Walnut shrimp was good enough but gooey from sauce , but hey that's a risk with take out. Hibachi veggies were terrible, the sauce had a burnt flavor. Crab Rangoon was ok, the kind that is large wontons fried around cream cheese not light and crispy stuffed wontons (again hit or miss with take out). Orange chicken was delicious, not drowned in sauce so not gooey and had a nice light orange tang. The place has been there longer than we have lived here, 6 years now & we have been or ordered a few times in that time. A bit price for take out nearly $70 for just ok food. And sadly no fortune cookies which is after all the fun of it all :( read more

The fried rice is just plain Noodles are bland and nasty Mongolian beef was ok Crab Rangoons were so bland General Tsos chicken was dark, dark like beef. The best Chinese food in Rowlett! I dream about their crab ragoons! Pineapple fried rice is so bomb here and I have to fight my husband for the last bite. I ordered the Egg Foo Young combination yesterday. A horrible experience because every time I order this meal I have to tell then do not burn my eggs or onions. Texas does not have good Chinese food period! It's not like the east coast......I called the restaurant back to tell them that there are plastic objects in my Egg Foo Young. The guy on the phone kept telling me that the use plastic spoons for eating and they include them with take out. I kept asking him how did plastic objects get into my omelette?
