Best Asian Buffet in Mesquite. Squeaky clean, and the sushi is pretty delicious for a buffet, i'm not going to lie. They have a massive selection, and they keep it fresh. All in all, it's my favorite buffet in Skeet-Skeet. read more

Tried the buffet out and it was good. Clean and kept food stocked. Noodles, shrimp and habatchi were great.

Huge selection, and it never stops coming. Every time I went, it was pretty quiet and that was great. Most of the food is pretty greasy-good, but some of it sits under the heat lamp for too long. read more

The food is good and varied, the service was pretty good, and the place was clean and fairly large. I wish it was closer to home! Oh, they had more than just your ordinary Chinese buffet foods as well. My favorite had to be the beef pot roast. I don't think I've ever had better, even from places where it's supposed to be good. And even though I found all their dishes to be tasty, I would go back there for that pot roast alone. No joke. read more

This restaurant has something for everyone- a very large variety of Asian and American foods on their buffet, as well as Mongolian Barbecue on their hibachi grill. Their sushi is fresh and tasty with fresh ginger to accompany it. YUM!!! The prices for a selection like this isn't bad either. It avererages under $10/person. read more

This is a good place to come and eat a little (or a lot) of everything. The sushi is pretty good, but I didn't have any room for hibachi. *tear* The restaurant is very spacious, so you won't feel claustrophobic or anything. Not that bad for under $10. Bring the whole family! read more

Bring the whole family to Asian Buffet. Newly opened, this large buffet has something for everyone. Highlights include; teriyaki chicken, boiled shrimp, raw oysters, baked salmon, pizza and egg drop soup. Be sure to try the hibachi grill. Fresh stir-fry items are replenished frequently. The beef and broccoli stir-fry was especially good. There's a large salad bar. Carry out buffet plates are priced by weight. Imitation crab is used, even in the stuffed crab. It's a good thing to avoid. For dessert, your best bet is the ice cream bar. Most desserts are prepackaged. An a la carte menu is also available. Selections include kung pao chicken, fried rice, curry beef, sweet and sour pork. Asian Buffet packs in the guests, but with wide aisles, it doesn't feel crowded. Service is very friendly. Contemporary Chinese music plays in the background. Asian artifacts decorate the walls and foyer. Major credit cards accepted. read more

Wow I am so disappointed . I read the yelp reviews. I only saw two bad yelp reviews. I suspected the two Yelpers had a beef with Asian Buffet, or one of their employees. As nether of the helpers had many reviews, or friends. Looked like they opened an account just to slam Asian Buffet. As everyone else that Yelped seamed to really enjoy Asian Buffet. And do to time restraints a buffet was best option to eat before my movie. BOY WAS I MISTAKEN! Next time I will just eat a price hot dog at the movies, or wait to eat after. I can't say I tried every thing , as most items were empty. On the buffet. And the few food items that where there, was old stale and dried out. I made a comment to the management of my disappointment. I was informed they could make me what I wanted. But sadly enough I really wanted a fresh buffet. And that appeared to be out of the realm of Asian Buffet to keep a fresh buffet. I even told the management a second chance, I would be happy to pay full price today, if he would give me vouchers to come back and try another day. Is anyone can have often and most places deserves a second chance. However that was not going to happen. Some times I just like to sample lots of dishes. If I wanted to order a meal , wait foot to be prepared and served I would of picked a restaurant not a buffet. I was lucky enough to find a pressed ham on the buffet to make a repulsive sandwich out of. I'm tired of Asian Buffet taking anymore of my time when I can be speaking pleasant thoughts about a different dining establishment. I believe my pictures will speak more than I am willing to put any more effort into Asian Buffet! I wish I could give negative stars! read more

We went there for the first time at the end of July and were so amazed at the cleanliness and decor of the restaurant. I am disabled and while I did go through the buffet myself, the sweet waitress carried my plate back to the table twice for me! Waitresses were kind, always smiling, and the food is TERRIFIC! For three of us with drinks was $30. Very reasonable! Our new favorite restaurant!!!!! read more

Went there midweek close to 9pm to meet a friend. So this could explain why some of the food was dry looking. My friend wanted a Chinese buffet with some sushi so reading all the reviews of places nearby this one had the best rating. Friendly and attentive staff made the visit better. The food was okay, nothing out of the ordinary except the pot roast. Past reviews are right, the pot roast was really good! I was surprised they had baby octopus and soft shell crab which was pretty good. Sushi isn't raw sushi...it's california rolls. At least that's all I saw that night. In the end if I want a Chinese buffet in the mesquite area that is relatively close and inexpensive I will come back and visit this place. read more

The fact that you find a maggot in your food and the manager still makes you pay for it says enough for this place. Other restaurants would never let you pay just because their food wasn't even on time. Yet this place refuses to apologize and makes you pay when there is a maggot in your food? That is disgusting. No one should have to put up with that. If you still choose to go here make sure you chew slowly so you might not accidentally chew a creature. read more

I visited" Asian Buffet" on a Tuesday for lunch. The first time I "got sick" was at 9pm that evening. I continued "getting sick" until at least 5am the next morning. I'm talking (pardon the expression) "both ends" SICK! I was dehydrated and weak for two days. I have 8+ years combined experience in the food service industry. A temperature standard in the industry for holding cooked foods is LESS THAN 41F for cold foods and GREATER THAN 140F for hot. IF the food was "at temp", it was borderline at best. It certainly wasn't hot. Some of it tasted funny. And one of the fried chicken dishes had a yellow tint throughout. I visited the buffet twice (normal is 4-5 times). I ate half of each plate. The first was unappetizing. Out of fear of getting sick, I stopped eating half way through the second (too late apparently). I even told my girlfriend that afternoon "I hope I don't get sick from the food at lunch today." I am new to town and I went there, based on the reviews here. I noticed the place looked clean (like brand new actually), but was oddly not very busy for lunch hour. I know from my experience in the industry and Food Handler's Certification and Re-Certifications that some food borne illnesses can take as long as two weeks to develop symptoms. Believe what you will, but I would never wish my experience upon ANYONE. read more

Another buffet you should try. The ad reads a wide variety of savory foods. They offer sushi which I cannot comment on. The thought of raw fish does not interests me. I'm told it is very good. There is a hibachi grill, all the Chinese your heart and stomach desires as well as American choices. Don't believe I mentioned salads and deserts. Lunch prices are $6.59-$7.59. Dinner $8.59. Children eat for less. They do have carryout priced by the pound as well as catering. The food my friends and I had was flavorful and freshly presented. Our waitress was friendly and attentive with drink refills and plate removals. Another new place for Town East. It's time the East of the Metroplex is getting new places to eat out. read more

After taking my sister in law to an appointment, we decided on Chinese food. Urbanspoon said that Asian Buffet only had three stars but I decided to go anyway. The location was nearby her house & right down the street to Town East Mall. Once you walk in, there's a huge koi pond & two hosts greeting you. I was shocked the food was so good for a buffet & extremely clean. I wanted to try the sushi but after two plates, I was stuffed. The only bad part is its a pepsi place so thus only four stars. read more

I don't understand all the bad reviews. I've been coming here for years, so I guess they meet my expectations for a cheap Asian buffet. I see a lot of people with piles of seafood on their plates, but I stay away from all that. I like the hibachi chicken, green beans, honey chicken, dumplings, hot and sour soup, and spring rolls. They have some American offerings, but the only one I ever go for is the roast pork. It's always fall apart tender. read more

Very clean and the selection are huge!!! Would come again. Wish they would have snow crab legs :(

Average buffet fare. Clean, not super loud. The usual risk of food poisoning from a Chinese buffet, but not worse than usual. read more

Been here a few times in hopes it would get better. If the food is fresh, it's usually good but most of the time it's old food. Seems like they reuse food. It's like they mix left overs and turn it into a different dish. I've put things in my mouth that smell rotten and even have a totally different texture than its sopposed to. You can walk in there on a Tuesday and smell the rotting food linger in the air. Never going back again read more

best buffet in town and around, they have a huge food selection and a awesome and fresh sushi bar (too good for a buffet ) and great costumer service, really clean place and atmosphere, and the food bars are full never empty. love this place. read more

Such a bad restaurant. Even though we already made reservation but when we got there they still didn't set a table for us yet. And even worse they even tried to sit us at the table in the corner next to the broom on the floor while there Are still other nicer tables available. I was so upset and asked for another what the heck is she thinking? (The lady in pink clothes). Not mention about the foods. It was horrible. And while we were eating other servers was bringing out brooms, towels to clean the tables and chairs and the glasses. Seeing all those kinda things while eating was the last thing That I wanted to see. Even though everything was horrible but we still tipped them 25% bcuz we think in our way, we have 7 adults and 1 child we can't tip them like 15% (tbh that's how I wanted to tip them) That 1 star is for the server. Would never gone back here again!! read more

This place isn't very clean, everything is sticky including my shoe now from walking on the floor at this joint. The whole restrant stinks of mildew and the food is terrible. 33$ later and the only thing I'm full on is disappointment and hopes that I don't get food poisoning from what little I did eat. If that's your Jam this is your place if not I suggest you find a different place to eat tonight. read more

This is the 3rd time I've been there and the food has been very good. They keep the buffet full and they have an excellent selection of food. I especially like the sushi and hibachi area. There are a few items I just do not care for the taste. To me, they tasted frozen or pre-packaged. But this is just my personal tastes. The waiters/waitresses are attentive and the restaurant pleasing and clean. You can eat your fill with a pot of hot tea for under $10. That's a pretty good deal! read more

This place looks great. You walk in and it's clean and the food looks tasty. The problem comes when you sit down and taste the food. It's not very good. My buddy had the Mongolian grill and he said it tastes like "dirt", literally. I had several chicken options and I couldn't tell the difference between sesame, hibachi, pepper. It all tasted the same. Very bland and un appealing. read more

For a cheap, Asian buffet, I was pretty impressed. Not only is there a large selection of entrees, but I found that I quite liked nearly everything that I tried. It's more typical that I like 2-3 entrees at a buffet, so I was quite thrilled that I could enjoy a large number of options. read more

Overall the FOOD was okay! Loved the egg drop soup my fav! The Habaich Grill was greAt as well! SOME items where cold like the fried lobster legs. SAW one fly he was having fun.at the desert bar :-) But it is way way better than King Buffet!! read more

I ate here in the early afternoon for the first time. When I walked in, I asked to view the buffet before being seated, they said sure. Everything looked clean, and I was very impressed with what I saw. The wide variety of food was tasty and fresh, and the servers checked on me regularly and kept my drink filled. I felt guilty that I had such a great bargain meal that I left a generous tip. When I left, I called family/friends to tell them about it. Will be back. read more

I have dined at this location several times. It use to be really good. The photos of the food are not what you will typically see on an average day. Quality has diminished in the last few years. The lobby does infact have the lovely fountain you see, and the seating area is very nice. But the food presentation is below average and the food is often mediocre in quality. Pros - It is a buffet, prices are competitive with local similar buffets. Great restaurant atmosphere and decor. Cons - Food quality has taking a hit in the last couple of years. If you want to sit in a nice place, this is for you. As a note I would give 2.5 stars if I could give a half a star. read more

This is my first review. I've never reviewed a place before, but this time I thought I'd leave a review to warn every body about this place, because there was a medium size cockroach walking on the sushi. I called the owner, and I showed her, she apologized but it was disgusting I will never go there ever again read more

We were over charged. Our original bill was 27$ but when we paid, they charged almost 8$ more and refused to show us our original receipt. The place looks lovely, and there's a huge food selection, but it's kinda bland and not all that impressive. The hibachi grill wasn't very welcoming, I really wanted to try it, but no one was there and when someone did roam around it, I was ignored. For a cheap buffet the food is okay, but I've been better for less money. read more

DO NOT GO!!! My family and I had a horrible experience at this place on a Thursday night. It seems to be that their evening buffet is not refreshed frequently. Everything was dry as far as the rice and noodles went and all the vegetables were withered and overcooked. It took me three request to give them to bring some fresh food out. The French fries were hard and stale Pizza was not fully cooked. Once they brought the fresh food, they mixed it with the old one and ruined the new one. During the desert time my daughter even made the comment that the cookies were hard and cheap. Maybe on the weekends it's a different experiences it is more packed and they keep refreshing the food. However I will not go again. To top it all off my two children my wife and myself we paid $45. If the food had been better then the price would not have been a problem but for $10.79 each buffet we got ripped off. We were there at about 6:10 pm read more

I am only leaving a review this low because they fraudulently altered the charge on my credit card. They gave themselves a tip they did not deserve for a meal that was sub par for service that did not exist. My visit was short, paid for 1 meal + Drink only to look at my bank transactions to see this forced upon it. read more

I counted 8 free-standing buffet tables, and that's not including the one long buffet table against the wall, and the sushi and hibachi grill area. And they have egg foo young on the buffet, which is something I love. For the quality and taste of food for the price, I still feel it is about a 3 out of 5 stars overall. Though, I still think this is one of the better buffets in the Mesquite / Garland / East Dallas general area. read more

I've been here a couple years ago, and decided to give it a try again. Big mistake. We where mainly looking into getting hibachi, which only had one tongue for the meats. Talk about cross contamination. When looking closer at the raw chicken the edges looked gray and dry. So we avoided that. After, the orange chicken we had where pretty dry and hard, now I know many places still serve them like this. I figured no biggie. Food was all average temperature nothing was hot enough. For dessert I tried the tangerines. The second I bit into it, taste of foul alcohol was so strong I spit it out! I let the waiter know and she said they would take care of it. She then came back a second time asking me to bring me more. I did not want any at this point and kindly denied. For the third time what seemed to be either the manager or owner came up to the table. She proceeded to tell me I was wrong and that nothing was wrong with the oranges. I told her they where tangerines, and they where fermented, I didn't mean they where old, but that they where bad. She still said I was wrong and that she opened a new can and they taste exactly the same, therefore, there was nothing wrong with them and I was wrong again! I stated I didn't taste the new can of tangerines but the ones that where already on the line and that I didn't know what the new ones tasted like. I was only doing them a favor to let them know they where spoiled and didn't want anyone else eating them and having the same experience. She said no they are not bad and walked off! Deeply regret going. read more
